Morganite

The other gem that makes up Coral and Ruby’s wife. On homeworld, she was one of the highest members of Pink Diamond’s court. Morganite personally designed Pink’s signature palanquin as well as overviewed the construction process, so it is no surprise thay even amongst her cut, she was special. Everything changed one day, however, when a certain Ruby recklessly saved her the small rebel force’s surprise attack. All at once, when she became Coral, a whole new tapestry of colours and inspiration were revealed to her. Upon unfusing, when she heard her diamond order for the Ruby to be shattered, she knew what she had to do. Sweeping Ruby off her fe k loop et, she ran away and official began her life as a free gem.

Morganite is analytical, precise and stoic. Always quick to think of creative solutions to blocks in her designs, she prides herself on her problem solving ability. She is a cut of gem that never featured in the original show that I have always been obsessed with. Also to clarify, she is not the same Morganite that was the previous owner of Rhodonite’s parts. I’ve already yapped way too much, so I’ll round this off by announcing that the next and final member of the Crystal Gems I’ll be revealing is the namesake of the AU - Blue Steven himself!

Hi, anon! Sorry it took so long for me to respond to this, I was filtering through all of my stuff to decide what I was going to recommend first. A lot of these are kind of classic ones to read. They've all gotten a lot of hits, and for a really good reason.

I'll post more recs in the future, especially hidden gems, and maybe a list of Dead Dove (like, the dove died, was resurrected, and died again) kind of content, because I have a lot of those to reccommend, too.

All of these are rated E. Most of the things I've bookmarked are, ngl, but if you want some T or below fics, I'd be happy to do a list of those, too!

First up is The Little Spoon by leonidaslion. This is an established relationship fic. It's 2k words and is the perfect mix of adorable and slightly smutty. To his horror, Sam discovers that he's a stealth!snuggler.

Next is, in my opinion, a Must Read. It's Couples Counseling by MsImpala67. It's a getting together fic, which I have a particular fondness for, especially those involving a fake relationship, like this one. What better way to investigate a marriage counselor (who may or may not be responsible for the death of six of her clients) than to go to marriage counseling? It's just pretend right? No different than putting on the FBI suits. Of course, nothing ever goes according to plan, and Sam and Dean quickly get more than they bargained for. It's 18k words over 10 chapters, and very worth the read.

Fragments by arclucifer666 is a one shot. The smell of sex is still in the air, and all these memories are making his cock swell up. And he hopes there will be one more round before his guest leaves. Don't open this one in public, there is a porny gif at the end. Little bt of fluff, luttle bit of soft sex. CW for somnophilia.

I don't often do AUs, but A Fire Ever Burning by BewareTheIdes15 is a fun read. It's based on the world of Pern, which you don't need to be familiar with to read. It is a dragon riding AU that kept me absolutely invested from beginning to end. It's 16 k words of charming for anyone with a love for the fantastical. Sam and Dean have always been oddities among the dragonriders; the youngest man to Impress a Bronze dragon in a hundred years and a boy who turned his back on the riders to become a dragon healer instead. But when fate steps in a chooses a far different path for Sam, the brothers and all the Weyrs of Pern will have to come to terms with much greater changes in their traditions.

I want to add a bajillion more, but I am going to limit myself to two. I'm realizing I have a lot of Sam/Dean/other, but I will do those on another list.

I have to throw an ABO and a case fic in, so I'll give you a twofer. Opus Amore by Skylee is all of my favorite tropes wrapped up in one. Sam and Dean go undercover at a couples retreat for Alphas and their Omegas to root out a monster. Dean hates being an Omega so the fact that he'll have to openly be one and stop taking his suppressants pisses him off. Still, the more they pretend to be a happy Omega and Alpha couple, the more he starts to think that maybe being an Omega isn't so bad, not if Sam is his Alpha. It's all of my favorite tropes. Hesitant Omega Dean, fake relationship, getting together, clever monster hunt. 31k words over 17 chapters and I'm ngl, I read this in one sitting.

Finally, last but certainly not least, The Truth In The Lie by flawedamythyst. It's another fake relationship case fic. The side characters are fun, the hunt is fun, it's just another all around awesome read. Sam and Dean pretend to be gay lovers while they hunt a monster on a bus tour of Nova Scotia.

There you have it. My first ever wincest fic recommendations. As I said before, all of these are well-loved on AO3, with good reason. I want to do more of these lists, especially if any of you have something specific you want to read.

Welcome to the Ultimate Vocal Sonic Song Tournament! In this blog, you will find pools that pit various vocal songs from the Sonic games against each other, with the final purpose of finding Tumblr’s ultimate Sonic song!

How does it work?

The tournament is organized in a single elimination bracket: all songs will be arranged in pairs, each pair making a two-choice pool, and the song that receives the most votes is declared the winner.

Each poll post lasts a week, and includes a link to the songs on Youtube, as well as the lyrics. This way, you can get well acquainted with both competitors before making a decision. You don’t even need to be a Sonic fan to vote!

What songs are included?

Any Sonic song that has vocals and originates from the games can be included. Official remixes and alternate versions are valid as well. As a base, I have used this wiki list to create the first list of songs that will be pooled.

The songlist will no longer be changed.

The list is huge! Why include that many songs?

Well, it is called the ultimate tournament for a reason! Every song deserves an equal chance at winning!

But another reason I included so many songs is so that fans can get to know tracks that they may have never listened to otherwise!

This extends to remixes and alternate versions of the songs, which, you will notice, are very commonly done in this franchise. I think it’s interesting to know what specific arrangements are most beloved by fans. People love His World, sure, that is very much obvious, but what version really is their favorite?

Where can I follow the tournament's progress?

I have made sure that the bracket is open and visible to everyone! You can access it here.

You can also just look at the pools themselves. Active polls are tagged as #active polls, and finished ones are tagged as #inactive polls. The polls are also tagged with the round they belong to.

When will it start?

The tournament starts on the 20th of April, 2025.

How long will it last?

The tournament will last for 8 rounds, spanning a total of 200 polls.

I will be releasing 5 polls every day. A new round will only begin once all the polls from the previous one have closed. Below are the daily times of release (UTC):

With that, I estimate that the tournament will last about 3 months, if we count each day from the beginning of the first poll all the way to the closing of the final one.

For John and Jack:

So, they both are literal murders. One of them is a little bit more insane than the other. Okay, the little bit part is not right, totally insane that is John, yes. But gonna love him though. He had been in rehab for alcohol, drugs, sex and murder. Don't kiss him, he might be wearing poisoning lipstick. They are canon mlm. They had been stuck in a two week time loop for five years, which was like leading a married life for them. They didn't actually marry, but they were partners, both in business and sexually. They worked together for an time agency. Then Jack's memories of two years were erased and he left. He went into  independent self deployment, doing scams using his knowledge of future events. After that he build an alien hunting institute in Cardiff, Wales. When John and Jack see eachother again after years, you don't know whether they will they kiss or fight. They do both. Did I tell you that along this story Jack became an inmortal who can't stay dead? No matter how or how often he dies or is killed, he keeps coming back to life. This is all very scraping on the surface, but oh boy, would it be at least a novella to describe them.

They worked together in the Time Agency where they did horrible things to the extent where Jack had two years of his memory stolen so that he couldn’t know what he’d done. They were also in a time loop together for five years where they canonically thought of each other as the wife (John was a good wife :3), and were basically married. Then they had a divorce arc and they both separately went rogue from the Agency to become conmen, although they still worked together/clashed on occasions, always still with that spark of passion. “Frenemies with benefits” Jack called them once, although John preferred “my lover, my rival, my nemesis and destiny. And bane of my bloody life.” Canon finds us where Jack has tried to reform and be a better person, but John is still chasing cons, and all he wants to do is bring Jack back to the stars with him, back to the crime and the glitter of the galaxies (it doesn’t work and he shoves Jack off a building but Jack got himself immortal so he’s fine <3) anyway I am very normal about them xoxo

In John's introduction to the series he shows up on a roof where some guy is mugging someone, grabs him by the throat and dangles him over the edge of the building while this guy begs for his life before dropping him just because he felt like it. When John and Jack interact for the first time in the show there's a super cool guitar riff, very evil western vibes, they walk up to each other, look deeply into each other's eyes, make out, then start throwing punches to Blur's Song 2. In one of the audio dramas we're told about various times where these two conned people, stole a bunch of money and gold and gems and stuff, then had sex with whoever it is they conned before (sometimes) killing them. When Jack devided he was done and left John to die John escaped and married the queen of England (Victoria) then locked Jack up somewhere to take his life force and live forever, destroying the timeline in the process. John has tried to kill all of Jack's friends at least twice to have him all to himself. He found Jack's long lost brother and when the brother turned out to be a terrible person with a vendetta against Jack John did everything he could to save Jack. Their relationship is canon but very one-sided most of the time

They do justified murders, but murders none the less. Is it really that bad to kill a few dozen people with your gf if your trying to get revenge in this big horrible world?

Spoilers, but Ellie decided to go on a big old revenge murder spree and Dina was a super supportive girlfriend and went right along with her. The two of them killed A Lot of people together. I do wish I could understand every detail. From what I gathered, there are some banger lines in there sometimes that tend to fly over my head because I'm forced to decipher the plot mostly via context with a few lucky vocabulary gems sprinkled in

Balamir. I don't get why he's relevant. His arc is shallow and unnecessary. Then again I'm only at episode 13/27

Thursday 7th November 2024

Up in time to see the sunrise at approximately 06.10 this morning. The time doesn't seem to vary much, if at all! Packed up and said goodbye to the little cabin overlooking the fields and the cows. Dog came to say goodbye. Our host was not around, but we guessed where she might be, and rightly as it turned out. She was working at the popup Café at the Hot Springs, so we called in to make our farewells.

Then, to Woolworths for a big shop; we don't know where the next town with a decent sized supermarket might be. Sadly there was a cathartic moment as we realised that the bottle shop would not be open until 2pm!!!

We set off without the SB required for the trip.

The wonderful thing about Australia is that when you set out, you really often have no idea what you are going to see or do. Our stop for the night was to be in Daly Waters, a drive of 276kms south down the Stuart Highway sharing with the huge road trains that rumble between Adelaide and Darwin. There are just two stops on route: Mataranka and Larrimah; if you are not concentrating, you will miss them. Now, as we approached Mataranka, a great example of unplanned gems was tantalisingly on offer to the left; Bitter Springs in the Elsey National Park. Seven k down the road was an empty car park for the Springs. Just a short circular walk took us around these beautiful Thermal pools, 34 degrees the year round, deep and such clear azure blue waters that fish and turtles had no hiding place. The pools, bitter because of the sulphur content, were set within a tropical woodland of Palms and shrubs. It was a little touch of unexpected paradise that exemplifies exactly the point that Australia suddenly throws these opportunities out at you if you are prepared to take the invitation. We sat listening to the flow of the pool and ate our lunch. Rumour had it that if there was nothing else in Mataranka, there was a bottle shop within a rather scruffy but highly functional supermarket. Sure enough, there it was on the high street, and within the supermarket was a caged off area holding said liquids, guarded by a state policeman, there to check IDs before purchase. Remarkably, with such a small selection of SB, we were able to choose a couple of brands we are familiar with and so happy days. Larrimah, we almost missed. Then, another of those little bits of interest that would have been easy to miss. A simple wayside monument marks the spot where one Alexander Forrest, grade 1 explorer of his time, made it from Western Australia finding an impossible cross country/ mountainous route in 1879 for a telegraph cable to join with the north/ south telegraph running along the Stuart Highway route. An immense task for him, 4 others plus 2 aboriginal assistants to accomplish. So, the unassuming monument, a facsimile of an original telegraph pole, marking this amazing achievement that almost cost their lives. is almost certainly missed by many whizzing by at 130km/hr.

Now, our stop for the night would not draw the attention of any seasoned TV travel program. It is a truckstop truth be told, attracting road train personnel and tradies mainly. This place does not feature on a tourist's itinerary. It has that raw honesty about the place, basic, perhaps clean, functional, and it is what it is. We had a welcome beer on arrival, and Martine took a dip in the pool. Yes, it has a pool! Sexist, men only attitude, possibly, rough and ready definitely, but it has a bit of a charm and a place in the real Australia category. As we waited for the beer taps to be sorted, we spoke to a red-neck Australian sitting with his wife on bar stools. Because I'm interested in the itinerant nature of many of the people we meet, I just asked him what brought him to such a remote spot in NT. He looked puzzled for a moment and replied, mum and dad I suppose.

We had a burger meal in, and I hesitate to label it such, their restaurant, and it was great. I had what was described as 'The lot' which pretty much sums it up! These Australians can certainly eat, and they really appreciate meat!

daily notes - overview of oct 5, 2023

omfg, I'm so tired. Like, we got home before 4pm, and I've been resting these last few hours. It was cool but humid, and I was just a sweaty mess when I got home. Hopped in the shower, then laid on my bed in front of the fan, and caught up on my web comic reading.

This will be the text overview of everything we did. When I get other posts up with images, I will edit and link to those.

First, we stopped by the local bakery I had mentioned on Monday. They probably had less-than-half of their inventory left. I got the very last blueberry-almond "scone", a couple other cookies for me, and some bits for LL-K. (K couldn't make the trip today, because she's busy with work.)

Second, we visited Rooster Brother, a store for cooks and those who love them, as they say. Lots of fun kitchen items, though they were more pricey than I'd prefer. Fun things, but nothing that screamed "must buy!". I did browse some chopsticks, though I was torn between using them as hair sticks or as chopsticks. (One was more decorative, but the other was cute enough for either use.)

There was a whole display of mushroom-themed items, too. The opposite side of that display had other woodland creatures, including deer and owls. They had the very same glass xmas ornament that @vintage-tech once sent me, several years ago - a little fawn, curled up and sleeping.

Next, we visited Riverside Cafe in Ellsworth for lunch. Very tasty, but neither of us could finish everything. (I only had fries left, but LL-J had 1-4th of her sandwich and fries leftover.) The music playlist was very good, though slightly biased towards my high school years. I can only remember 5 of the songs

It was tough to hear the music, so I'm sure there were other songs playing, and I just didn't catch them.

We walked down the road, ducking in The Dream Catcher antique shop next. Lots of pretty visuals, though the aisles were crowded and some display cases didn't show prices well. (There was such cool jewelry!) Because it was a cold and humid day, and they left the doors open, we felt very uncomfortable in that stuffy place. Both of us were tired, so we decided to call it quits when we saw there were another 2 floors to the place.

I bought 3 small dolls and a snake-shaped pendant. They're all cheaply made items, with discoloring and no easy way to remove the clothes. One is an Irish (I assume) souveneir doll, who came with a stand - $12. Then I found a dandy, dapper Rococo man. A little more digging, and I found his lady. Both have sleep eyes and painted feet/legs. They didn't have tags, so the clerk said $10 for the pair. Fine by me!

The snake pendant was $1. It's shape to curl around a marble or gem stone, and even has prongs to help hold it in place. It was empty, found in a dish of tiny pewter figures glued to flattened marbles. So so soooo tiny!

When we left, we both felt awful and tired. We visited a kids' book-and-toy store very quickly, didn't buy anything, then browsed the store windows of some other shops. The two I liked both looked very elaborate and fun. We'll hit one of those first on our next trip, when I have more energy again.

From there, we went to LL Bean's outlet store. They had a big sale on women's pants, so I grabbed a couple pairs. One's like... lounge or athletic wear? The other seemed like casual drawstring pants. I can't describe the texture. Omg, the textures for most of the pants were so bad in that section. So 60% off, I only paid about $35 after taxes for 2 pairs, yay.

Hit up Dunkin's drive-thru on the way out of town. LL-J now knows the glory of the "frozen hot chocolate" - basically a chocolate milk slushy.

We stopped by LL-K's house once we got back in town, to drop off the cookies. She gave me 2 containers of chicken stock that she had made. A couple weeks ago, she had asked where she could find chicken feet, so I helped source some from Neighbor-J and -S's chickens. (They were the couple that ran a general store for a few years. S used to sew cloth diapers as a business, too.) ----------

I hopped in the shower once I got home. Very very tired. Laid in front of the fan for a couple hours, and now I've been typing for like 20 minutes. We left at 10:15am and got home before 4pm. If the weather wasn't so clammy, I think we would've done far better. BUT I still did very good, considering how cheerful and happy this day has been.

Will work on posting photos in multiple posts next. Some stuff at the antique store is worthy of shiftythrifting, but some is not. One item is even from the "we see this too often, so don't submit it anymore" list. My first time seeing one in the wild!

The kitchen is quite large, and the number of cabinets accommodates it is easily visualised here.

Double height is used every day in almost all Neo-Classical residences in Banglore. Some clients may understand the concept of this cut-out when they see a visualisation like this. Clients can easily visualise the Puja area, cut-out with a chandelier and the TV unit extending to the next floor.

The spaces surrounding the cut-out are usually corridor spaces. However, to make it look even more spacious and for better space usage, we provide more expansive areas that accommodate seating spaces for the family in the east-facing house. 

Homes with internal staircases are also an advantage as they become an additional double-height area in the home. It also provides space for lift provision that we can use, like a circulation lobby.
