Beta animals! Rabbit, buffalo and flamingo as their files say
The buffalo is actually from cbt 2 and not from cbt 1 as the rest, but I'm not gonna make a separate post just for it. It's got 3 different textures which is pretty neat

Pros & cons of laboratory mishaps (Pt.1)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Dottore x Fem! Reader (NSFW in future)
I've tried to keep reader as vague as possible, but she's bisexual (for the fem segment) and her hair is longer than Dottore's. Also uses a dendro delusion.
A/N: Does anyone whose into Genshin also have an interest in BBC's Merlin? Because the whole premise of this fic is the troupe of 'magically feeling each other's touches' that is common over there griping me by the throat and shouting 'Dottore'. This part is also mainly intro stuff since Tumblr has a word limit... But I'm posting the smaller second bit with this anyways :)
If there was one thing your time at the Fatui had taught you, it was that you could never anticipate what life would throw at you. When you’d first signed up (mostly out of necessity) and were given a shiny new dendro delusion you could’ve never predicted that it would lead to becoming close with the infamous second harbinger. And yet here you were, regularly meeting with either Dottore himself or one of his many segments to have various tests taken to try and work out why your delusion didn’t drain your life force no matter how much you used it. And more importantly, how to replicate this ‘fluke’ you’d experienced. It was once such routine meeting that set off a chain of events so bizarre, you’re sure only those involved would believe, a chain that led to perhaps the most confusing relationship status one could have.
Ever since you’d discovered that your delusion didn’t drain your life force like they did your comrades you’d been transferred from being a generic recruit serving under whoever had menial tasks at any particular time to working pretty much directly under Lord Dottore himself. At first the decision terrified you, you’d heard the other new recruits’ gossip about how they’d prefer to work under any harbinger but Dottore and the horror stories many brought back whenever someone was unlucky enough to be assigned to the rare instance of Dottore needing a recruit’s help, or more accurately Dottore’s assistants requesting extra help. You’d never been lucky (Or unlucky) enough to have experienced such things firsthand, but it’s all that you could think of as you nervously made your way through the basement level of Zapolyarny Palace with your pathetically small duffle bag of belongings.
Despite your concerns your first meeting with the harbinger went quite well, or rather what you’d at first assumed was the harbinger and later learnt was in fact a segment, Beta to be precise. Beta was the most ‘normal’ of the bunch, having the most social awareness and least extreme emotions. For the first week you only ever saw Beta, and whenever there wasn’t a need for any samples from you, you were pretty much free to do what you liked. As long as you kept up your training to continue to monitor how your delusion reacted to increasing strength.
And that was the routine you settled into happily, spending at least half a day everyday training and stopping by the lab pretty much every other day for someone to take some blood or stick some sensors on you and monitor various things. At first you only ever delt with Beta, and that was fine since the rumors could very well be true about the ‘real’ Dottore and you were happy to stay in your bubble with the relatively nice segment. After a few weeks though you were introduced to another segment. This one was more like what you’d feared, Delta’s mood changed as quick as the snow pelted the palaces windows, and the moon-like mask he wore only served to exaggerate his crazed smiles and intense eyes. Still, Delta wasn’t unbearable, and you soon worked out that playing to his ego was a guaranteed way to make any encounter with him almost pleasant.
The next segment you met was on accident, after you went out to the training grounds later in the day than you normally would due to a snowstorm. You were met with a small child with a familiar mop of mint blue hair and distinct glowing earring sitting in the snow making a crude snowman. The young segment couldn’t be any older than 10 years old and watched you train intently. After you’d finished and were sitting on a bench to enjoy the gardens while you caught your breath he approached you slowly, introducing himself as Epsilon and bombarding you with questions about your delusion and fighting style, having heard about your unique situation from the other segments. From then on Epsilon had decided he liked you, and often watched you train, eventually convincing you to become an informal mother figure for him, which you were hesitant to do since who knows what the actual Dottore would think of it, but Epsilon was persuasive, and you never heard anything after he started regularly spending time in your small quarters with you.
After Epsilon you met the last few segments all at once, due to them all being in the lab when you’d gone in for your weekly blood test. There were four segments milling around the lab, doing various things and you took a moment to observe them as you tried to decide who you were supposed to be asking to take your blood. There was a segment dressed in a outfit clearly reminiscent of the Sumeru Akademiya’s scholars robes, who you later learned was Alpha, a similar looking segment with more travelling style gear called Gamma, a tall segment noticeably much older than the rest with a distinct beaked mask over his eyes and a very complicated looking outfit called Omega and the last one made you do a double take, it was a woman (a quite beautiful woman your bisexual heart told you) but still clearly a segment who you learnt was called Xi. Omega had taken your blood that day and mentioned something in passing about ‘Prime’ who you assumed was the real Dottore wanting to meet you himself at some stage. His words made you worried, but not as much as when you first learnt you’d be working under him, after all Omega was supposedly the closest in age to Dottore and he was nice enough, if a bit awkward at actually conversing with you on personal level, and you were sure he wouldn’t be worse than Delta, who over time had come to tolerate you, bestowing you with the very friendly nickname of his ‘favourite test subject’.
The day you met Dottore you’d had no time to mentally or physically prepare yourself, having been expecting to see Beta or Alpha you’d trudged down to the lab in your pyjamas after waking up late due to a headache. Swinging the lab door open without really looking inside you only realized something was different when no one scolded you for wearing your pyjama shirt into the lab, since apparently it was more difficult for them to pull the sleeves up enough to draw blood since it was so thick and had nice long sleeves. Glancing around the lab to see where the segments were only to realize there were none and instead at the desk in the centre of the lab, the one none of the segments ever used was unmistakably the real Dottore. He was leaned over the desk writing something, and his hair was mostly similar to Omega’s just a bit longer and quite messy. He wore a long lab coat, and it was fully buttoned up so you couldn’t make out what he was wearing underneath, but as you approached slowly he looked up and noticed you making you freeze for a second before forcing yourself to continue approaching. As you stopped just in front of his desk he gave you a quick once over, and you cursed yourself for not bothering to change into more presentable clothing, you may have gotten comfortable with the segments but this was the actual harbinger! And your first meeting at that. To your relief though he doesn’t comment nor seem to have any reaction to your clothing choice, just motioning you over to a stool and silently drawing the few vials that was always taken for analysis. Afterwards though he spoke to you for the first time, his voice recognizable as similar to the segments, but also completely unique. “I intend to move on to testing the effects of some potions on yourself and your delusion. I expect you to prepare yourself to make observations round the clock when the time comes.” He says, his voice smooth, but noticeably tired. You nod quickly, not wanting to annoy the harbinger and he dismisses you, letting you hurry out of the lab and continue with your day.

THAT SOFT SMILE OF HIS!
This was from the CBT (Closed Beta Test 1) of Genshin Impact, the scene where Dvalin/Stormterror had caught Venti and the team in mid-air.
The final version was more polished and vividly animated, but Venti wasn't awake when he was caught by Dvalin in mid-air in the final cut. This is the only moment we could see his relieved smile while seeing Dvalin after saving the dragon!

Tencent taking global Honor of Kings as China continues to block its new releases
Tencent taking global Honor of Kings as China continues to block its new releases
Chinese giant Tencent is bringing its flagship title to global markets as it attempts to offset the increasing restrictions and limited growth of its home market. To get more news about honor of kings top up, you can visit topuplive.com official website.
The company announced Honor of Kings will be "rolling out... to global gamers by the end of the year" via Level Infinite, the publishing label Tencent established back in December.
There will be closed beta tests in the coming months, starting in July.
The news comes as the South China Morning Post reports that Tencent has once again been left out of the latest wave of regulator approvals for publishing licences.
The Chinese government mandates that all titles released in the market require a publishing licence, although regulators froze the approvals process for nine months -- the second time this has occurred.
A first batch of 45 games were approved for release in April, with another 60 granted a licence on Tuesday. The latter included Keqier Frontier, a new title from Genshin Impact developer MiHoYo, and Perfect World Games' Black Cat Anecdote Society.
The approval of just 105 games so far this year is a marked decline when compared to 2017, where regulators approved more than 9,000 games for release in China over the course of the year.
None of the approval games were submitted by Tencent or its rival NetEase. Both companies have been waiting 11 months for any of their upcoming games to be given the green light.
In its most recent financial results, Tencent reported revenues from domestic games, led by Honor of Kings, dipped 1% to $4.9 billion. These account for 24% of the internet firm's total quarterly revenues.
However, the company saw 4% growth in revenues from games outside China at $1.6 billion -- 8% of total quarterly revenues. Tencent no doubt hopes to boost this further and offset the limitations of its home market by bringing its top title to global markets.
This is not the first time the company has attempted this, though. In 2017, Tencent launched Arena of Valor, an international edition of Honor of Kings, with the aim of recreating its success overseas and taking on Western hits like League of Legends (developed by Riot Games, which is wholly owned by Tencent).
The game generated $15 million in its first year, although struggled to gain traction -- to the point where there were reports Tencent were planning to give up on the game just one year later.
Writing for GamesIndustry.biz in 2018, Mintegral's Jeff Sue explored why Arena of Valor struggled in America.
This is also not Tencent's first attempt to establish the Honor of Kings brand outside China. Back in November, the company announced its TiMi Studios Group is working on Honor of Kings: World, a AAA spin-off for consoles and PC.

Genshin Impact Closed Beta Shots N’ Thoughts
Within my first few minutes in Genshin Impact, it was obviously clear where many of their ideas came from: Breath of the Wild.
Tumblr media
The vast open world full of wispy green grass and run down castles, the ability to scale almost any walls, the glider, the camps of enemies (that can be approached in many different ways), the stamina bars, and even the opportunity to cook.
Tumblr media
I don't see a problem with this. We wouldn't have many of the great games today if companies didn't borrow ideas from those that blazed trails.
And in fact, Genshin Impact does just enough to separate itself despite containing several similar elements from BOTW.
Here are 5 take aways from the closed beta.
1. This is an very much an anime styled game. Yes, the world does look similar. But the characters, abilities, and story scream classic anime. This alone gives it a much different overall tone and feel than Zelda.
Tumblr media
2. The character switching ability is one of my absolute favorite parts of GI. During my time of testing, I unlocked and played as 4 characters (the Hero, Amber, Kaeya, and Lisa). Each one of these characters is beautifully designed and you can switch between them easily (with a minor cool down).
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
3. Each character has their own INTERESTING unique abilities. The 4 characters each align with a specific element (wind, fire, ice, and electric) which make solving puzzles and defeating enemies exciting. You can even hold down the middle mouse button to see what an enemy may be weak to.
My favorite ability though was one of Amber's. She can throw a mini chibi version of herself that dances around to distract enemies...and when they destroy it, or the timer runs out, it explodes! Loved it.
Each character has a main attack, special ability, and an ultimate ability. Your abilities have a cooldown, much like in a MOBA.
Tumblr media
4. Defeating enemies with environmental statuses keeps combat fresh. Is your enemy in water? If it is, you will see a "wet" icon. Here you may want to switch to Lisa and electrify the water around them or have Kaeya freeze the water and the mobs with it! This again goes back to something I mentioned earlier: there are multiple ways to best your foes!
However, you can also receive these status effects, causing elemental damage to be more harmful towards you as well! Very interesting mechanic.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
5. When in the thick of it, combat feels much more fast paced than BOTW. I truly enjoyed using my abilities and thinking about which character would be best for a given situation. Combat felt fluid and I loved the animations. Amber may do a little dance and Kaeya even does this awesome "What else you got??" kinda hop when you complete a string of moves. It adds flair and personality to these characters.
Tumblr media
It's not perfect! I didn't really come across many challenging puzzles, I only saw a few types of enemies, and I was never truly in a situation where I felt I was in trouble. Hopefully these are things they will address in development and with feedback.
This game is also developed by MiHoYo, the company who made Honkai Impact 3rd. Honkai Impact did have several micro transaction opportunities, which I am hoping does not have a home in Genshin Impact (unless strictly for cosmetics).
But this game shows a lot of promise and I'm beyond excited to play the final version!
Genshin Impact will be releasing on PC, Android, and iOS. Keep an eye out!
Cheers!
- Solo

More enemies from the 1st beta!
The ruin guard seems the least changed, mainly changing in the head area
The fatui masks are separate from their faces but there are no eyes underneath, just a plain face model with the shadow from the mask. In the final game the mask and the face are modeled as one material so there's nothing to look at there
Enemies 1
textures and icons below

Icons for the fatui are not present in the first beta, instead the mage is from the 2nd and agent is from the 3rd

Actually interesting beta stuff today: "Monster_Test_Boss_110" and "Monster_Boss_Wolf_Test"
Wolf is obviously just a test model for Andrius, while the dragon may be a very early prototype for Dvalin. Their designs are wildly different so they must have changed their mind pretty quickly on that. They didn't even texture the poor guy and i had to work with some lights to show him off
The actual final Andrius does exist in the files but only his 1st form, he only looks a tiny bit different from the final
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Final is right and top one
his legs got a bit wider and the icy bits now use their own texture instead of the main body texture, his inner mouth also got less saturated
now back to the dragon
Tumblr media
hes also wayyy smaller than final dvalin, here's him compared to Kate
He does however have something that super cool-
animations!! 6 of them!!
Move_forward
Attack_bite
Born
hit_die
hit_PB
idle
i do have better quality but it's in separate clips
I was super exited about these two since i didn't see anyone else ever mention them and i was shocked when i found them! There's literally no mention of them anywhere it's crazy

Developers Discussion – 4/29
Tumblr media
Hi, everyone! Here's the latest Developers Discussion~(*^-^*) What new optimizations might there be this time around? Quick, let's check it out! Before we look at the latest Developers Discussion, Paimon has an important message to share with everyone: "Travelers, please be aware that the official Genshin Impact team will never post any game-related information or version previews via personal accounts on social media platforms. Please refer to our official, verified social media accounts for official information and news. Do not believe or disseminate any unverified or unofficial information." If you want to learn the details of the Developers Discussion, look nowhere else but to our official Genshin Impact communities~
Q: The previous Treasure-Seeking Seelie event is over. Will we have another opportunity to obtain the gadget in the future?
A: Paimon's heard that there will indeed be further opportunities to obtain the Treasure Seeking Seelie in future versions. When the time arises, make sure you don't miss out~
Q: Will Keqing appear more in future quests?
A: In the future Moonchase Festival, there will be more interesting stories for Travelers to experience with Keqing... Stay tuned~
Q: Can I obtain Raw Meat from small animals while in Realms (in the Serenitea Pot)?
A: Travelers can only obtain meat from animals in Teyvat's open world, not in Realms. Come on, give the small animals in your Realm a sanctuary to rest, okay?
Q: Some effects generated by the triggering of certain Elemental Reactions (such as the Elemental Resonance effect "High Voltage," and the 4-piece set effects of the artifact sets "Viridescent Venerer" and "Thundering Fury") cannot take effect when the Elemental Reaction is triggered very far away from the character.
A: The appearance of this issue is due to the game design implemented during development prior to release: in order to avoid placing excessive requirements on system performance as well as maintain a consistent experience across platforms, we placed a distance restriction on the effect activation of Elemental Reactions. This restriction does not usually affect the normal combat experience in the game, but can be noticed when Travelers attempt to trigger this type of effect on targets extremely far away, as the effect will not be triggered as normal.
At the same time, the developers have been continuing to pay close attention to how Travelers utilize various Elemental Reactions in combat. In order to increase the role that Elemental Reactions play in combat, we plan to make the following adjustments in future versions:
1. When a character reaches Level 60 or above, the damage caused by major reactions (i.e. Electro-Charged, Superconduct, Overloaded, Swirl, and Shatter) will be increased.
2. The Base Shield DMG Absorption for shields generated by Crystallize reactions will be increased.
3. The DMG Bonus provided by Elemental Mastery for major reactions will be increased. (Refer to the attributes panel in-game for the exact DMG Bonus amount)
The initial design of these adjustments is already being tested in the 1.6 Beta. The developers are continuing to monitor the data and performance of these adjustments. Before any related changes are officially implemented into the live version of the game, we will update Travelers regarding the final design for these adjustments.
