Helianthus♡Light!

Helianthus is the genus which includes sunflowers. Fumi and Seina suggested this part of the name, since Fumi loves flowers and the flower language/symbolism behind them, and Seina knows the more,, biological/scientific stuffs. The "Light" part is both because it also has to do with sunflowers, and Toshiro suggested that they're "reaching for light", because they chose the name at the end of their main story and they were feeling very hopeful,, it's not like they're not hopeful now, idk why I phrased it like that ANYWAYS.

I'm kind of not sure what type of music they play (mainly because I don't know ANYTHING about music genres lol), but it's definitely something warm, nostalgic, maybe a bit echo-y, somewhat soft, and their cover arts definitely include a lot of nature stuff,,,,, I haven't designed their virtual singers yet, but they're probably gonna be Rin and Luka (and Miku obv)

Toshiro Hasegawa (they/he)

178 cm tall, unit leader, probably main vocalist?, class 2-B (post-3rd anni), class 1-C (pre-3rd anni). Pretty energetic and outgoing, straight-A student, very afraid of failure and tends to try to earn love and affection through exceeding at everything because family problems, yay. Has an older brother (Hiroto Hasegawa, he/him), who is a part of ANOTHER unit,, The two are pretty distant. The whole family actually is, woops. Toshiro is also VERY into crystals and spirituality. It gives a sense of certainty. Also has an orange cat named Surfer. They're a big MMJ fan, specifically Airi fan. Friends with Ichika and An. Always braids/does everyone's hair.

Matsu Kimura (he/him)

162 cm, probably also vocals, but mainly deals with the uhm technical musical stuff that I know nothing about?? class 3-C (post-3rd anni), class 2-B (pre-3rd anni). Very bubbly, energetic, affectionate, super-uber-extra autism (sea-flavoured), very average grades because he only really does what he's interested in, but he does it rlly good. Used to get bullied in middle school, struggles with people's expectations and trying to fit in. Very-very silly. Only child. Keeps pet fish. Friends with Emu. Very tactile, loves tackling people.

Fumi Hatanaka (she/they)

169 cm, loves musical instruments and plays guitar, class 2-A (post-3rd anni), class 1-B (pre-3rd anni). A surprisingly bad student, doesn't care about school. She's pretty reserved and a bit grumpy most of the time but tends to easily get angry and even a little aggressive. Cares a lot about her friends, even though she doesn't really know how to show it. Also doesn't want to show "weakness". Blames herself for being too soft in middle school and not being able to help Matsu. Her family owns and runs a small flower shop. Friends with Shiho, dislikes Tsukasa and Rui (thinks they're too obnoxious and chaotic lmao). Also an only child. Doesn't have pets, but feeds strays that often hang out around the shop. Friends with Shiho and pretty much all of leo/need, as well as Toya. Can be pretty distant physically, but likes subtle physical gestures of affection.

Seina Amari (she/her)

175 cm, writes lyrics for their songs, loves writing in general, the only one in the group who goes to Miya girls', class 3-B (post-3rd anni), class 2-B (pre-3rd anni). Does VERY good at school, super responsible, helps everyone, though isn't actually all that interested in most subjects except literature. She's very calm and caring, always tries to help everyone, has a very gentle energy about her. This mostly comes from the fact that she had hurt a dear friend in the past, which was actually genuinly her fault, but also some shit happened, and she ended up dealing with this by being overly-caring and not letting her loved ones see when she's struggling. Doesn't mean she doesn't ACTUALLY care though. She very much does. Has a younger sibling (Taru Amari, they/them), who's also part of the same unit Hiroto is! Also has a pet bunny named Puddle, who's very similar to her, which I think is funny,, not exactly friends with Mafuyu, but just a little bit closer than regular acquaintances. Close friends with Shizuku and pretty much the rest of MMJ too (Toshiro nearly fainted when they found out). Has a part-time job at a local coffee shop, where she met and became friends with Ena. Often shows affection/compassion by something like placing a hand on someone's shoulder.

🦈🍊 Matsu and Fumi are childhood friends and went to the same middle school. It was very awkward and tense at first when they met again in high-school, because back then Fumi felt extremely guilty and ended up distancing herself, eventually kind of abandoning Matsu when he needed support most.

🍑🍊 (fucking fruits /j) Toshiro's brother visits Fumi's family's flower shop very frequently, that's how Toshiro and Fumi met, since she often helps out with the shop in the evenings. Though they didn't become close until the main story started and the unit was firmed.

🍑✒️ Toshiro and Seina know each other because their siblings, Hiroto and Taru, are friends! So they kinda met through Seina accompanying Taru whenever they wanted to visit Hiroto.

🍊✒️ Fumi loves coffee and met Seina when going to the coffee shop Seina works part-time at. Because Fumi ended up being a regular customer there, even with their tough personality the two became acquaintances, but also didn't become very close until the events of the main story.

🍑🦈 Toshiro and Matsu just kinda bumped into each other at school. They became friends before the events of the main story.

🦈✒️ I think Matsu and Seina are the only exception though. They've only met when the main story started.

Dynamics!!

🍑🍊 They bicker and argue a lot, but not, like, SERIOUSLY. They're both aware they're joking and most of the time it's affectionate. Fumi isn't as big of a fan of physical affection as it seems the rest of the unit is, so Toshiro doesn't get the chance to braid her hair that often. But when he does, it's very nice and relaxing for both. Surprisingly, Toshiro might be the closest to Fumi, after Matsu, that is.

🍑✒️ Toshiro loves braiding/doing everyone's hair, as I've mentioned already, and his favorite to do this to is Seina. They especially like braiding these tail-like longer parts of her hair. Overall, they're pretty close because of their siblings, and Toshiro might be one of the first people Seina eventually opens up to. Also, I keep forgetting that Toshiro is actually taller. Most of the time, Seina just. FEELS taller, idk.

🍑🦈 These two are very close. They both kinda admire Rui and Tsukasa, which worsens their already chaotic behavior. They're actually two menaces together and no one is safe. Matsu loves tackling Toshiro more than everyone else and Toshiro might sometimes jokingly complain, but loves the attention. Matsu's hair is also his second favorite to braid. Also they drag Matsu to MMJ concerts and keep trying to convert him into being an MMJ fan,,,,,,

🍊✒️ Seina has a surprising way of calming Fumi down better than anyone else. Sometimes, maybe if they're waiting for something or riding a train somewhere, Fumi even allows herself to rest on Seina's shoulder. She's less harsh with Seina (even if her harshness isn't malicious with her friends). Seina sometimes has to stop Fumi from getting into fights. Even if she struggles to show it, Fumi tries her best and appreciates Seina a lot.

🍊🦈 As I mentioned before, Matsu and Fumi are childhood friends. At the beginning of the unit story things are still pretty awkward and Fumi is very tense around Matsu, as she still feels guilty, but isn't sure how to properly express any of it, while Matsu still feels a little hiet over her abandoning him. Though as the story goes on, this conflict pretty much gets resolved, even though it will still take a lot of time for any awkwardness to disappear completely. After the unit is formed, they're pretty close again, despite, uh, all of what I just said. They need some time to get used to each other again, but ARGHHH I LOVE THEM SO MUCH, they care about each other A LOT, even if Fumi isn't the best at expressing it. The whole reason she became so mean and harsh is to be able to protect Matsu.

✒️🦈 Seina kinda feels like an older sister figure to Matsu, I think? At least, for me,, She worries about him a lot, maybe even more than with the others, helps in overwhelming situations, all that. He's still very affectionate, but it's kinda like his affection is more calm with her (basically, he doesn't tackle her as hard as everyone else /hj)

SEKAI description!!!

(I just copy-pasted this from the post where I first described it. I'm NOT typing all that ever again)

I mentioned that I call it the overgrown sekai. Because it's, well, overgrown. As you could hopefully guess. The main part of it is an old stone structure, with some intricate carvings still remaining visible and even discernable, although everything does look like it's at least.. a few centuries old, no less. However, taking into account that it's a sekai, it probably isn't that ancient. Almost everything is pretty much overrun by plants – ivy spreading across the grey stone walls, grass (and most importantly flowers) breaking their way through the floor that seems to be made of marble, but it's too old, overgrown and at times dirty to be completely sure. The said flowers are a strange mix of forget-me-nots and sunflowers that may not quite make sense, but it *is* a whole ass other dimension, after all. There's plenty of light, despite practically no windows in sight, save for a few small ones. The reason for that being the roof, shaped like a dome, with holes in it that clearly weren't here by the first design, having appeared because of the stone collapsing over time. Unsurprisingly, the flowers are concentrated in the areas where the most light seeps through those holes. And speaking of light, the time here is always the same – late afternoon, with the season always remaining a comfortable sunny summer.

There's some furniture in the building, mostly along the walls, with the center looking almost like a flowerbed. That furniture seems to represent each of the owners of the sekai – an old desk made of dark wood with a quil and some paper thrown around it, almost giving it an impression that the owner left in a hurry. The paper has become a light yellow color over what may or may not be a rather long amount of time. Next to it – a somewhat fancy wooden chair. There are mirrors hung around this part of the space – some broken, some have the glass taken out entirely. Just a little further – a shelf and an armchair. Both items' materials and overall look fit that of nearly very other piece of furniture here. The shelf is filled with items that seem to have some spiritualistic significance – amulets, crystals and stones, all of them hand-made and hand-carved, yet seeming to lack in accuracy and having been made in a hurry. The armchair strangely has a few long chains hanging on its back. One of the more noticeable pieces of furniture is... a fish tank. It has no fish. In fact, it doesn't even have water, though it's probably not intended to be that way – the tank is spacious and has pretty much almost everything a fish would need to be happy and content in captivity. But it's old and worn out – the driftwood rotting away, whatever plants used to be inside have withered and everything is covered in a thin layer of... dust..? The tank itself stands on top of something of a dresser. If you care to open its doors, you will see rows upon rows of books – as many as could fit in the little space there is inside. Most of them have to do with marine life, but there are also some journals full of incomprehensible messy writing, as if whoever was filling them either didn't have much time, or was feeling too much emotion to care. Perhaps the strangest item in the building is a cage. It's designed just like one of those small restricting bird cages, glistening with gold in the light from above, but for some reason, the cage could easily fit a human. If you decide to step in, you might notice an unexpected aroma. It's vague and subtle, but... it almost seems like fresh black coffee mixed with something citrusy. Outside, the building is surrounded by a dense forest. The light can't penetrate the abundance of trees, but somehow, it doesn't feel eerie or threatening. It feels familiar in an unexplainable way. Have you already seen these woods somewhere..?

I think that's pretty much all the important stuff..? I ramble A LOT about small details pretty often, but uhm. Explodes.

Im gonna be mean for a hot second and I apologize in advance.

I've seen a lot of "Redisigning [insert character here]" posts across multiple platforms. The art itself is always great, a lot of magnificent artists, but the designes are not it tbh. Because they aren't a redesigne, they're completely overhauling the og designe.

I am being as nice as possible, I do not hate these people or their art, but like, thats not a redesigne! This is probably just my opinion but a redesigne should improve upon the original. Yes sertant things will be different but they aren't crazy. Maybe like an extra accessory, a bit of a color change, or maybe a change in physical build, but thats about it. The biggest change would be a change in style I guess.

I've seen redesignes like mlp ones were people will take a character like Pinkie Pie and completely throw out the original designe except for the poofy hair. Like, so many i have seen where she isn't even pink anymore. Another thing is Rainbow Dash, sometimes those redesignes look like the artist whent "how dull can I get it while still being a rainbow?" The really good redesignes I've seen add things from actual myths like the unicorns being skinnier, with more fleshy tails, and a beard. Or pegadi having more feathers. Or earth ponies being built more like strong horses. They dont throw out the original designe, they improve on it. Maybe a few colour changes here and there, but you can still tell who it is.

Tho, at the end of the day I'm not a professional character artist. This is all just kinda how I feel. Don't go onto people's posts and bully them for their designes. If you really want to point out how you feel be as polite as possible and make it clear there is no hostility. Maybe even frame it as a question, like "why did you choose those colours/designe themes?" Just don't bully.

Side note: under those posts I see a lot of "I love this! Why couldn't the show do designes like these!😍😍😍" heres why! Its not animation friendly. Too much in a character can be bad for animation studios. Too complex and would probably take up budget. Never get mad at studios for the current designes they have, you are allowed to dislike the genuinly bad designes tho. I'm not saying you can't. I'm just saying have respect for the character artists and what they are able to make with what they have.

Ectoloader Headcannons

Gonna throw in some ones with Haiya and Riley as well as a few other characters

-Ectoloader gets brain freeze very easy, the guy don't have lips, he loves ice cream but every time he has it it's guaranteed he'll get brainfreeze

-Ecto understands that maths isn't the most fun subject in school so he tries to be understanding and extra patient if needed when a student can't understand the work

-Higari hates winter and is more of a summer person. He's a blanket hoarder during winter and Ecto knows to keep a spare turtle-neck out for Higari because, inevitably, he'll end up trying to steal one when his back is turned

-Higari is one of the more laid back teachers, his classroom despite being a bit messy has a casual air about it

-Higari carried Ecto bridal style at the wedding. I don't make the rules guys.

-Ectoplasm likes to buy little bonsai trees, he thinks plants make good decorations. Higari is the one who ends up giving the plant a name but he'll deny it when Ecto asks

-When the two where at UA Higari once tried on Ectoplasm's glasses and asked him "How do I look?" Ecto, squinting, replied "..I have no idea"

-Riley and Haiya both have a sweet tooth like Ecto, more often then you'd think Higari has walked in on the three squabbling over the last piece of chocolate. Higari only really likes stuff like dark chocolate, stuff that isn't overly sweet

-Higari and Riley have strong resistance when it comes to spicy foods, unlike Haiya and Ectoplasm who die every time they try something remotely spicy

-Whereas Ecto likes karaoke dates Higari likes to go out to a restaurant or pub. Higari doesn't really know how to do big grand shows of affection so he defaults to restaurant dates. Since the design studio is often loud and noisy he likes pubs and restaurants cuz they have the same sort of atmosphere - lots of people, lots of noise, and Higari is a big eater so the food is a bouns

-Romantic dinners and movie nights at the teachers dorms also happen a lot, with how busy the two are with their teaching they sometimes loose track of time and don't have enough of it to set aside a free evening for a night out, so the two end up cuddling together on the sofa for a movie

-Higari is a total sass master, he grew up with four siblings he's learnt some good quips and comebacks

-Higari is a hopeless romantic at heart, the best he can do with flirting is dirty flirts (which are reserved only for Ecto), he gets all shy when trying to genuinly compliment someone in a romantic way as he thinks he sounds too cheesy, to this day he still gets all red and stutters when trying to be all romantic with Ecto. Ectoplasm can flirt, but only in super cliche and corny flirts, purely innocent stuff. Higari's heart gain three years of life everytime Ecto uses one of his silly little pick up lines he thinks it's adorable

-Ecto isn't 100% innocent tho. He's picked up some more adult flirts from Higari and whenever he uses them it throws Higari through a loop. Ecto does this mostly to mess Higari cuz "No one will believe you"

-Ecto likes to run his hands through Higari's hair, despite how scruffy and messy it can be Ecto loves it

-Higai definitely has and read one of those "How to be a good boyfriend" / "How to tell if your crush likes you" books in his early teens when he began crushing on Ecto. This is a truth he swears on taking to the grave.

-Higari in his late teens made a lot of self-deprecating jokes, he doesn't make them as often but sometimes he'll throw one out there to try and ease a situation or to ligthen the mood. To which Ecto turns to him is like "First of all you're a liar" then proceeds to tell Higari how amazing he is

-Coffee dates are one of those things the two can do after a hero mission or after their day at UA, Ecto and Higari are both coffee people and have each others go to orders memorized

Author chan: I definitely can!

Eevee- His name is Ever (Creative name, I know) He is the protagonist of the story! A Highschool Sophomore. He moves into his cousin's house, which is where all these eeveelutions live. He is literally, GENUINLY, the only quote on quote normal one. He's basically a normie. He's also the "art kid" He loves cartoons and draws a lot in his notebook. He also loves video games and typical 16 year old boy stuff. He is basically the straight man of the series, as in, he gawks at all the ridiculousness the others get into.

Jolteon- No name yet but her screen name is "Joltanna" She's a super popular Twitch streamer/ vlogger with over 5 million subs! She can beeee very vain and extra. Also goes to the gym like 5 times a week. She recently dropped out of college to focus on her influencer career.

Flareon- No name yet and nothing much about him is developed except that he's a REAL HOT HEAD. He gets angry for the littlest thing. He's also a Reddit troll on the side lol

Vaporeon: His name is Dobbie!!! He's like, a stoner. Also Ever is his cousin. He's a buisness major in the local college!! (This story takes place in a college town lol). Dobbie is super chill. He is one of those people who's like "Bruhhhhh, your energy.... is like so wack today bruuuhhhhhhhhh, I'll send you some good vibes bruhhhhhhhhh" And yes, he skateboards, snowboards, and surfs.

Espeon: No name yet but they are actually a prodigy! like, 16 and in college type prodigy!!! (They are the only non adult other than Ever) Scholarships are basically giving them a full ride. They have an obsession with glasses (Like, they have a LOT of glasses, and wears ALL of them), is a germaphobe, and is a walking wiki. Idk what they are majoring, but I feel like its something like double majoring in Bioengineering and Psychology with a minor in computer science or something ridiculous like that. Is always tired.

Umbreon: My favorite, and the one with the most development. DARKNESS! (Real name Dave) Darkness is a VERY EXTRA, EDGELORD. Now. Umbreon is not emo, or depressed, he is just a very extra, cringy edgelord who says that he is both emo and depressed but is actually not. One of his eyes are always covered with hair, not because its scarred or anything, he just has the eye of a charizard Ho-oh hybrid that he needs to hide from the world or else immense power will release from it. Sure, it switches eyes a lot BUT it is TOTALLY not a contact lens. His best friend? A Katana unironically named "Bloodweep the soul cursed legacy of Dragonsouls and the executioner of the forsaken" he has a massive crush on Sylveon for WHO KNOWS WHAT REASON, but wont admit it even though its pretty obvious. With that said, he went into college as an Undecided major, which means, he doesn't know what he's doing.

Leafeon: You guys saw him lol. Vern!!! I think I said a lot about him already, but he is like- always anxious, constantly hiding behind plants. Also grows and sells weed totally illegally, a FAMILY BUISNESS! UwU He doesnt talk much and hides a lot, so he tends to scare others with his anxious rambles. Also he's unironically studying to be a pediatrician.

Glaceon: Glaceon is genuinely so hard to write I can't think of anything extra for him and rewrote his character 10 times already. He is Jolteon's twin brother tho, and is a mega tsundere for one of the other characters in the cast, but I don't know who yet. (Actually it would be funny if its Flareon) *Makes it Flareon* ALSO!!! He, unlike his sister, is still in college.

Sylveon: Sylveon has no name yet, BUT!!! She is a BIG Weeaboo. When I mean BIG, I mean it dominates her life. Her room is filled with anime merch, manga, and otome games. She doesn't have just one or two anime body pillows, she has SEVERAL, and, you know those weird anime mousepads with the chest or butt wrist rests? Yeah. She has a collection of those. Stupid Short Eevee Comic is an anime in this world, and Sylveon here is deeply in love with Vay from it. She believes that he and her are soulmates, destined to be together, if it wasn't for that blasted screen separating them! Also as a side note, she is only attracted to anime boys. She is also Sophomore in college, studying graphic design.

Hieroglyphs are a syllable. Lots of people don’t know this, and it’s a pet peeve of mine. There’s this meme going around like “look at all these emojis we’re back to using hieroglyphs” - no we aren’t. Hieroglyphs encode sounds, namely syllables, not entire words or feelings. They’re not a picture story, they’re fancy looking letters and there is a shorthand used by the egyptian bureaucrats that looks alot more like want we think of as writing. Speaking of which: people that bash emojis are not be trusted. We’ve changed from writing in elaborate sentences to what is essentially transcribed conversation in chats, and emojis add something to the conversation that can avoid misunderstanding and are therefore very useful. She says and doesn’t use a single emoji. Anyway.

Nebel; Describe your favorite fantasy

I’m not sure I understand. Regarding what. Is this asking me what I daydream about? Holding a celebrated talk at a conference in my field would be pretty high up. House by the see. Marry a Rockstar. Not really because I don’t buy into marriage as an idea, but I’ll settle for being the one they write songs about. Almost happend once and then it didn’t - he didn’t get to be a rockstar either tho so it probably just wasn’t to be. Other than that, Dragons are really cool. Are we still trying to come up with radically different ways to organise societies, because I would be up for building a new utopia. I hope this covers most of it.

I like to tell myself I’m a very non-slutty person, and genuinly am I think ever since then, but I cheated on my first long term boyfriend. I was telling myself I was just waiting for a less devastating moment to tell him, and I was actually deeply in love with the dude I did it with, but uhm, low point. He did find out eventually, after we broke up. He was mad for a bit and then asked me to be his best man at his wedding. We’re still best friends. I got lucky like that.

Oh I can’t decide. But 3teeth in february was really special. I might over idealize it now because it was the last band I saw before the pandemic, but it was also just genuinly so good. I don’t know if this was by accident or by design, but it was so dark you just couldn’t take pictures so everybody just left their smartphones away, and it did the whole experience wonders. I haven’t gotten this lost in the ecstasy since 2005 I think and I believe everybody there felt that. I was hurting all over the next day, couldn’t remember a thing but I remember it was the best time I had in years. If I could, I’d ban smartphones from concerts. It’s a concervative dick take, but honestly - just look at any 90s/early 2000s gig footage and tell me I’m wrong.

I bought a new bike today.

It was a giant escape 2 city disc.

Fits me perfectly. Makes me feel a bit less panic.

He was like the GIOS CELE to me. Such a fantastic bike, which I have, and always long for. The most famous branch of Italy, beautiful signature blue color and strong powerful transition. Just that it wasn't designed for me. I already couldn't fit the smallest size.

I've regreted. Firstly, for my own sake, is that I've lost such a wonderful man. I've let him go whom I genuinly love from the bottom of my heart. Secondly, no matter how small or huge it is, I've created hurt.

Now that I've bought this bike, my faith is a bit stronger that it was the right desicion.

Screw all the hyprocrisy, there ain't no sake of him in this move of mine. Ain't nothing like leaving so that he could find someone who can bring him more joy and fulfillment (tho he sure will find her). It was only for my own sake. All was about me finding someone who I can fit with the way this new bike fits me.

All was for my needs.

And yet he was so gentle, offering help far from the future. I'm lucky.

He has brought out an amazing version of me. I've been so gorgeous, beautiful, so fancy and self-defenseful. It was such an interesting experience. But still, it's different from whom I really am. I want to be and will be strong and beautiful, just in another way.

I'll still be in the madness of chaos for some more time. Hopefully it'll finish gently.

Like I genuinly love world, its my fave of all the MH games ive played so far (Gen, 3U, Online and FU being the others) but it MHW does have a lot of clear cut problems with design and certain mechanics (turf wars) but probably my biggest problem with it is Coral Highlands, you have this beautiful completely unique ecosystem that is so much fun to traverse in and the only native monsters are Annoying dogs, flashlight Great Jaggi wanna be and Inflation fetish bat (Legiana is gud tho, keep flyin)

It stems from World’s lack of variety. Since we don’t have stuff like Leviathans and Carapaceons the monsters are going to be lacking in relation to the stunning environments. The coral highlands would look amazing with a giant mantis shrimp or the rotten vale with something like a giant centipede.

In the UK if you buy a car, it HAS to be insured, but at the moment for someone young to insure a car, i looked on a comparing site, i put myself as a main driver for a 1.2 litre fiesta and it was well past 4K, and insurance companies know they can charge that amount because without insurance it is illegal to drive. If i put myself on 3rd party insurance it either drops by less than 100 or goes up, ive read about this and apparently insurance companies think that if you get 3rd party insurance, you care less for your car so therefore they charge more. Now in the US things are alot better, if you pay car tax you automatically get 3rd party insurance, this is a great idea and i wouldn't mind knowing why they don't introduce it here in the UK, if not, surely the government or somebody will confront the insurance companies so that they can lower premiums, right?""
