Philtatos - Most Beloved

Logan was there when Oscar wins his first championship, he wasn’t racing then, he was there as a fan. He watches Oscar get lift up by his team— there was champagne flying all over, and Oscar spots him in the stands and he smiles at Logan, bright and beautiful. Oscar, his world champion.

Logan stood there by himself at the entrance to the paddock, Oscar’s form slowly coming to view, his race suite replaced by his team kit. His hair matted to his forehead from the champagne earlier, he looks georgus. Maybe it’s because he was too busy staring at his boyfriend, maybe that’s why he didn’t see or hear the journalists approaching him from behind.

“Hi Logan,” her voice nearly startle him half to death,

“Hi?”

“Good to see that you and Oscar are still friends after all these years” he cocks his head, looking at her questioningly,

“Um, yeah. Friends” he stutter out, not sure of what to say to the strange woman, his eyes darting from the camera pointing at him to the woman and her microphone to Oscar who was nearing him now.

“Oh, are you guys not friends anymore, i’m sorry I assumed-“ she looks bashful, he can see her eyes moved from Oscar who slides up behind him back to Logan. “Wait so is he your friend?” Oscar made a noise from next to him, a half chuckle half scoff that pulls a smile from Logan.

“Philtatos,” he tells her, slipping his hand into Oscar before tuging him along, leaving her there to exchange confusing looks with her camera person.

“Philtatos?” Oscar asked when they make it back to the car, “what’s that?”
