The Most Popular Comic Books From 2000-2020
Comics have been a favorite medium of storytelling for decades, and with the rise of superhero movies and TV shows, their popularity has only increased. From Marvel and DC to independent publishers, the 21st century has seen a plethora of comic books that have captured the hearts of readers. Here are some of the most popular comic books published between 2000 and 2020:
The Walking Dead (2003-2019) Robert Kirkman’s horror series about a group of survivors in a post-apocalyptic world overrun by zombies was a massive hit, both in comic book form and as a TV show. The comic book series ran for 193 issues and became a cultural phenomenon, spawning merchandise, video games, and even a theme park attraction.
Watchmen (2009) Alan Moore and Dave Gibbons’ 1986 comic book miniseries is widely regarded as one of the greatest graphic novels of all time. The 2009 film adaptation, directed by Zack Snyder, brought the story of retired superheroes investigating a conspiracy to a wider audience, and introduced new fans to the complex characters and intricate plot.
Batman: The Court of Owls (2011-2012) Scott Snyder and Greg Capullo’s run on Batman in the early 2010s revitalized the character and introduced new villains to his rogues’ gallery. The Court of Owls storyline, which revealed a secret society controlling Gotham City from the shadows, was a standout arc that kept readers on the edge of their seats.
Sandman: Overture (2013-2015) Neil Gaiman’s Sandman series is a classic of the comic book medium, and the 2013 prequel series Overture was eagerly anticipated by fans. Illustrated by J.H. Williams III, the series explores the origin of Morpheus, the lord of dreams, and features stunning artwork and complex storytelling.
Y: The Last Man (2002-2008) Brian K. Vaughan and Pia Guerra’s series about the last man on Earth after a mysterious plague wipes out all male mammals was a critical and commercial success. With its unique premise and strong character development, Y: The Last Man remains a classic of the comic book medium.
Black Panther (2016-2018) Ta-Nehisi Coates and Brian Stelfreeze’s run on Black Panther in the mid-2010s introduced new depth and complexity to the character of T’Challa, the king of Wakanda. The series explored themes of power, politics, and identity, and was a landmark moment for representation in comics.
The Umbrella Academy (2007-2008) Gerard Way and Gabriel Bá’s quirky superhero series, about a dysfunctional family of superpowered siblings trying to prevent an apocalypse, was adapted into a popular Netflix series in 2019. With its offbeat humor and distinctive art style, The Umbrella Academy became a cult favorite.
“Saga” (2012-2018) “Saga” is a space opera/fantasy comic book series written by Brian K. Vaughan and illustrated by Fiona Staples. The story revolves around two lovers from opposing sides of an intergalactic war and their fight to keep their newborn daughter safe from the conflict. The series is known for its inventive world-building, complex characters, and powerful themes of love and family. It ran for 54 issues from 2012 to 2018 and has won multiple Eisner Awards, as well as being praised by critics and fans alike.
“Ms. Marvel” (2014-2019) “Ms. Marvel” is a comic book series created by writer G. Willow Wilson and artist Adrian Alphona. The story follows Kamala Khan, a Muslim teenage girl from New Jersey who gains shape-shifting abilities and becomes the new Ms. Marvel, taking on the mantle from the original character Carol Danvers. The series is known for its diverse cast of characters, relatable portrayal of teenage life, and exploration of issues such as identity and representation. It ran for 38 issues from 2014 to 2019 and has been praised for its positive impact on the comic book industry.
“Invincible” (2003-2018) “Invincible” is a superhero comic book series created by writer Robert Kirkman and artist Cory Walker. The story follows Mark Grayson, a teenage boy who inherits superpowers from his father and becomes the superhero Invincible. The series is known for its deconstruction of the superhero genre, subverting expectations and exploring complex themes such as power, morality, and family. It ran for 144 issues from 2003 to 2018 and has been highly acclaimed for its storytelling, character development, and bold approach to the genre.

#Catherine Deneuve Portrait
Cannes 1984
Contax RTS  Carl Zeiss T* Tessar 200mm f/3,5 Agfapan 100
Catherine Fabienne Dorléac (born 22 October 1943), known professionally as Catherine Deneuve , is a French actress as well as an occasional singer, model and producer, considered one of the best European actresses and the greatest French actress of all time.. She gained recognition for her portrayal of icy, aloof and mysterious beauties for various directors, including Luis Buñuel, François Truffaut and Roman Polanski. In 1985, she succeeded Mireille Mathieu as the official face of Marianne, France's national symbol of liberty. A 14-time César Award nominee, she won for her performances in Truffaut's The Last Metro (1980), for which she also won the David di Donatello for Best Foreign Actress, and Régis Wargnier's Indochine (1992).
Deneuve made her film debut in 1957 and first came to prominence in Jacques Demy's 1964 musical The Umbrellas of Cherbourg. She went on to star in such films as Repulsion (1965), Donkey Skin (1970), Belle de Jour (1967), Tristana (1970) and The Young Girls of Rochefort (1967) opposite her sister, the actress Françoise Dorléac. She was nominated for the BAFTA Award for Best Actress for Belle de Jour, and the Academy Award for Best Actress for Indochine. She also won the 1998 Volpi Cup for Best Actress at the Venice Film Festival for Place Vendôme. Other notable English-language films include The April Fools (1969), Hustle (1975), The Hunger (1983) and Dancer in the Dark (2000).
Deneuve was born Catherine Fabienne Dorléac in Paris, the daughter of French stage actors Maurice Dorléac (1901–1979) and Renée Simonot (b. 1911). Deneuve has two sisters, Françoise Dorléac (1942–1967) and Sylvie Dorléac (born 14 December 1946), as well as a maternal half-sister, Danielle, whom their mother had out of wedlock in 1937 with Aimé Clariond, but who was later adopted by Maurice and took his surname. Deneuve was her mother's maiden name, which she chose for her stage name, in order to differentiate herself from her sisters. Deneuve attended Catholic schools .
Deneuve made her film debut with a small role in André Hunebelle's Les Collégiennes (1957) with her younger sister Sylvie Dorléac who, like their older half-sister Danielle, was an occasional child actress. She subsequently appeared in several films for director Roger Vadim as well as in L'Homme à femmes (1960), which caught the eye of Jacques Demy, who cast Deneuve in his 1964 musical Les Parapluies de Cherbourg, the film that brought her to stardom. Deneuve played the cold but erotic persona, for which she would be nicknamed the "ice maiden", in Roman Polanski's horror classic Repulsion (1965), reinforcing it in Luis Buñuel's Belle de Jour (1967), and reaching a peak in Tristana (1970).Her work for Buñuel would be her most famous .
Further prominent films from this early time in her career included Jean-Paul Rappeneau's A Matter of Resistance (1966), Demy's musical Les Demoiselles de Rochefort (1967) and François Truffaut's romantic thriller Mississippi Mermaid (1969). Deneuve remained active in European films during the 1960s and 1970s, though she limited her appearances in American films of the period to The April Fools (1969), a romantic comedy with Jack Lemmon, and Hustle (1975), a crime drama with Burt Reynolds. Her starring roles at the time were featured in such films as A Slightly Pregnant Man (1973) with Marcello Mastroianni and Le Sauvage (1975) with Yves Montand.
In the 1980s, Deneuve's films included François Truffaut's Le Dernier métro (1980), for which she won the César Award for Best Actress, and Tony Scott's The Hunger (1983) as a bisexual vampire, co-starring with David Bowie and Susan Sarandon, a role which brought her a significant lesbian and cult following, mostly among the gothic subculture. She made her debut film as a producer in 1988, Drôle d'endroit pour une rencontre, alongside frequent co-star Gerard Depardieu.
In the early 1990s, Deneuve's more significant roles included 1992's Indochine opposite Vincent Perez, for which she was nominated for an Academy Award for Best Actress and won a second César Award for Best Actress; and André Téchiné's two movies, Ma saison préférée (1993) and Les Voleurs (1996). In 1997, Deneuve was the protagonist in the music video for the song N'Oubliez Jamais sung by Joe Cocker. In 1998 she won acclaim and the Volpi Cup at the Venice Film Festival for her performance in Place Vendôme. In the late 1990s, Deneuve continued to appear in a large number of films such as 1999's five films Est-Ouest, Le temps retrouvé, Pola X, Belle maman, and Le Vent de la nuit.
In 2000, Deneuve's part in Lars von Trier's musical drama Dancer in the Dark alongside Icelandic singer Björk was subject to considerable critical scrutiny. The film was selected for the Palme d'Or at the Cannes Film Festival. She made another foray into Hollywood the following year, starring in The Musketeer (2001) for Peter Hyams. In 2002, she shared the Silver Bear Award for Best Ensemble Cast at the Berlin International Film Festival for her performance in 8 Women. In 2005, Deneuve published her diary A l'ombre de moi-meme ("In My Own Shadow", published in English as Close Up and Personal: The Private Diaries of Catherine Deneuve); in it she writes about her experiences shooting the films Indochine and Dancer in the Dark. She also provided the voice role of Marjane Satrapi's mother in Satrapi's animated autobiographical film Persepolis (2007), based on the graphic novel of the same name. In 2008, she appeared in her 100th film, Un conte de Noël.
Deneuve's recent work includes Potiche (2010) with frequent co-star Depardieu, Beloved (2011), alongside former co-stars Ludivine Sagnier and Chiara Mastroianni, the popular French adventure comedy Asterix and Obelix: God Save Britannia (2012) with Gerard Depardieu and Valérie Lemercier, screenwriter and director Emmanuelle Bercot's On My Way (2013), Palme D'or winning writer/director Pierre Salvadori's comedy drama In the Courtyard (2014), and André Téchiné's drama In the Name of My Daughter (2014). In 2017, she co-starred alongside Catherine Frot, in writer/director Martin Provost's French drama The Midwife, which has been acquired by Music Box Films for a summer 2017 distribution in the United States.
Deneuve appeared nude in two Playboy pictorials in 1963 and 1965. Her image was used to represent Marianne, the national symbol of France, from 1985 to 1989.[citation needed] As the face of Chanel No. 5 in the late 1970s, she caused sales of the perfume to soar in the United States – so much so that the American press, captivated by her charm, nominated her as the world's most elegant woman. In 1983, American Home Products retained her to represent their cosmetics line and hired world-renowned photographer Richard Avedon to promote its line of Youth Garde cosmetics, for which she famously proclaimed, "Look closely. Next year I will be 40."
She is considered the muse of designer Yves Saint Laurent; he dressed her in the films, Belle de Jour, La Chamade, La sirène du Mississipi, Un flic, Liza and The Hunger. In 1992, she became a model for his skincare line. In 2001, she was chosen as the new face of L'Oréal Paris. In 2006, Deneuve became the third inspiration for the M•A•C Beauty Icon series and collaborated on the colour collection that became available at M•A•C locations worldwide in February that year. Deneuve began appearing in the new Louis Vuitton luggage advertisements in 2007. Deneuve was listed as one of the fifty best-dressed over 50s by the Guardian in March 2013. In July 2017, Deneuve appeared in a video campaign for Louis Vuitton entitled Connected Journeys, celebrating the launch of the brand's Tambour Horizon smartwatch, which also featured celebrities, including Jennifer Connelly, Bae Doona, Jaden Smith and Miranda Kerr.
In 1986, Deneuve introduced her own perfume, Deneuve. She is also a designer of glasses, shoes, jewelry and greeting cards
Deneuve speaks fluent French, Italian and English and has some knowledge of Spanish, though she does not speak the language fluently. Her hobbies and passions include gardening, drawing, photography, reading, music, cinema, fashion, antiques and decoration.
Deneuve has been married once, to photographer David Bailey from 1965 to 1972. She has lived with director Roger Vadim, actor Marcello Mastroianni, cinematographer Hugh Johnson, Spanish model and current television presenter Carlos Lozano, and Canal+ tycoon Pierre Lescure.
Deneuve has two children: actor Christian Vadim, from her relationship with Roger Vadim, and actress Chiara Mastroianni, from her relationship with Marcello Mastroianni. She has five grandchildren.
Deneuve is close friends with the artist Nall and owns some of his works.
On 6 November 2019, BBC News reported that Deneuve suffered a mild stroke and was recuperating in a Paris hospital. Despite the health scare, there was no damage to her motor functions. Five weeks later, she was released from the hospital and spent the remainder of 2019 recuperating at her Paris home.

#bookbacklog - My 2019 reading in review
As the new year kicks off, it’s time for the annual round-up of books I’ve read. This year turned out to be a good one in terms of the number of books read. While I didn’t quite match my 2016 record of twenty books, I did get through seventeen books this year.
Like previous years, my #bookbacklog reading was a mix of fiction and non-fiction. The fiction books this year were a more even mix of dystopia, sci-fi and fantasy. That’s in contrast to previous years where certain genres (especially dystopia) have tended to dominate.
Despite reading seventeen books, the physical stack of books cluttering up my bedside shelf has continued to grow. Only two of the books on this year’s list were ones I owned before the year started!
But without further ado, here’s my list of books for 2019.
FICTION
Spillzone: The Broken Vow  - Scott Westerfeld & Alex Puviland (graphic novel)
Imposters - Scott Westerfeld
Shatter City (Imposters - Book 2) - Scott Westerfeld

Remembering Wim Crouwel (1928–2019)
TRIBUTE
Author: Ellen Lupton, Senior curator of contemporary Design
Wim Crouwel (1928–2019) was a giant figure in the history of graphic design. This tall, elegant man who always dressed for the future produced an astonishing body of work that is at once functional and experimental, objective and personal. His contribution has special importance for museums. A pioneer of graphic identity, he defined—and blasted open—the possibilities of visual communication within the unique setting of the art museum. He started his career in 1952 as an exhibition designer and soon began working with the van Abbe Museum in Eindhoven, where he used grids and consistent typefaces to unify the institution’s publications and posters while illuminating a rich roster of content. As design director of the Stedlijk Museum in Amsterdam from 1963 through 1985, he used modern design to amplify the institution and interpret its content. He was director of Museum Boijmans van Beuningen in Rotterdam from 1985 to 1993.
Known as “Mr. Gridnik,” Crouwel embraced the grid as a tool for generating flexible systems and unexpected forms. He loved structure, and he sought to create letters, layouts, publications, and identity systems driven by an internal logic. He used the grid not to suppress creativity or enforce homogeneity but to release the creative mind of the designer with a tool existing outside the individual hand and mind. This viewpoint connected him with the conceptual and constructive art movements of his time as well as with the work of Josef Müller-Brockmann, Max Bill, and other Swiss modernists, whose books and ideas were crucial inspirations. Many of Crouwel’s museum posters are purely typographic, using text and letterforms to interpret a theme or subject. In Crouwel’s 1969 poster Visuele Communicatie Nederland (Visual Communications in the Netherlands), simplified letters are shaped by a vertical grid consisting of wide modules and narrow gaps. This abstract poster reflects Crouwel’s fascination with creating typefaces for low-resolution computer systems and his lifelong interest in generative design methodologies.
In addition to working in the cultural realm, Crouwel was an influential corporate designer. He cofounded the Amsterdam-based company Total Design in 1963, which became an international voice in multidisciplinary design for business. Asked by Design Culture magazine if the results of design should always be useful, he said, “This is wishful thinking. In reality, design is often not useful at all.” He believed in the innate value of human creativity and the freedom to think and make.
OBJECT OF THE DAY
Author: Gail Davidson

Poster, “Visuele Communicatie Nederland, Stedelijk Museum Amsterdam”, 1969. Wim Crouwel. Museum purchase from General Acquisitions Endowment Fund. 2009-13-1.
Visuele Communicatie Nederland (Visual Communications in the Netherlands) is one of designer Wim Crouwel’s best posters, created in 1969 for an Art Directors Club Annual exhibition at the Stedelijk Museum, Amsterdam. The Stedelijk Museum has been one of Crouwel’s major clients. Trained as a painter at the Minerva Academy in his home town of Groningen, and at the Kunsthijverheids onderwijs in Amsterdam, Crouwel started his professional life working on exhibition design for Bedroeders Enderberg, Amsterdam. He rapidly gravitated to the graphic design field, establishing his own firm in 1954. A turning point in his career came when he met the Swiss trained designers Karl Gerstner, Gerard Ifert, and Ernst Scheidegger, who impressed him with their rationalized design and typography, particularly the sans serif font Akzidenz Grotesk, a forerunner to Helvetica. From the Swiss model, he adopted the practice of the grid as a way of creating visual order: he later acquired from his colleagues the nickname “Gridnik.” His big break came in 1956 when Edy de Wilde, then director of the Van Abbemuseum, gave him an initial graphic design commission which resulted in a regular partnership with Crouwel to design all of the museum’s printed material. This client/designer relationship continued after de Wilde transferred as director to the Stedelijk Museum in 1963. For Crouwel, de Wilde was an ideal client as he permitted him to experiment with different fonts which he would create for each of his posters. From 1971, Crouwel was also providing graphic materials for the Fodor Museum in Amsterdam.
In the early 60s a series of discussions took place in the Netherlands and England, which included Crouwel and other Dutch designers, about the necessity of creating a multi disciplinary firm in the Netherlands, like those already established in the United States and in England, that could service a variety of commissions including industrial design, interior architecture, graphic design, etc. These dialogues resulted in the creation of the Associatie voor Total Design NV(abbreviated TD),whose members included (other than Crouwel) Friso Kramer, industrial designer; Benno Wissing, graphic and spatial designer; and Paul and Dick Schwarz, covering the business end. The aim of this firm was to develop and execute design ideas in all fields, based on a single vision. Standardization was the key concept, standardization of paper format, restricted choice of typeface (normally sans serif), clear pattern, and close regular spacing of words. This approach easily fit the needs of the corporate world, and clients included the cities of Gronigen and Rotterdam, IBM, many banks all over the Netherlands, as well as cultural institutions. As the partnership in TD began to break up in the late 1960s, Crouwel cut back on his involvement but remained as an advisor, and turned to teaching at the Technical University in Delft, becoming dean of the industrial design department from 1983 to 1985. From 1985 until 1993 he served as director of the Museum Boijmans Van Beuningen in Rotterdam. During this time he also taught at Erasmus University in Rotterdam as associate professor of art and cultural sciences.
It was as a member of TD that Crouwel (working with assistants) designed this poster. This work, like all of Crouwel posters, is based on a grid system (upon close inspection the pre-printed, gridded paper is visible; each line represents 1 cm). The letters of the major text are square, 4.5 x 4.5 cm, while the smaller letters in the subtext are also square, 1.3 x 1.3 cm.
When Crouwel was asked if design was pure problem solving or whether there was also room for personal expression, he responded, “Of course design is about problem solving, but I cannot resist adding something personal. A page should have tension.” It is the tension in this work, created by the florescent colors as well as the 3 1 3 spacing of the grey vertical bars, which make this poster unusual and compelling. Also tension-making is the experimental font (all lowercase), which Crouwel developed after considering the technical limitations of the first computer controlled typesetting machines in the early 1960s that only permitted dot matrix printing.
Poster Designed in Tribute to Wim Crouwel
Designer: Philippe Apeloig for London Design Museum
Poster, Wim Crouwel a graphic odyssey, 2011; Designed by Philippe Apeloig (French, b. 1962); France; screenprint on coated paper; 95 x 63.5 cm (37 3/8 in. x 25 in.); Gift of Philippe Apeloig; 2013-16-5
This poster was designed in conjunction with the 2011 exhibition Wim Crouwel: A Graphic Odyssey at the Design Museum, London, England. Philippe Apeloig, along with six other graphic design studios, was commissioned to produce a poster that employed the grid structure Crouwel devised for his now iconic Stedelijk Museum posters.
Apeloig drew from his experience as an intern in the 1980s at Crouwel’s firm, Total Design, to design the poster. He utilizes the framework of the grid itself and a simple color palette to create the text. Both the grid and reduced color palette are a tribute to Crouwel’s signature graphic design style. For this poster, Apeloig uses the grid to create text that appears to glide playfully all over the page, with black text punctuated by white dots emphasizing the diagonal pull of each word against the strict axis of the grid.

Umbrella Academy: What We Know About Season Two
Have you been stuck at home bingeing shows on Netflix?
Did you stumble across Umbrella Academy and find yourself caught up in the story of the eccentric Hargreeves family? Are you wondering when season two is going to drop? Well so are we!
Not much is known about when we’ll see the next season of the Wes Anderson-inspired adaptation of Gerard Way and Gabriel Bá’s Dark Horse Comics series, but we do know that it’s bound to drop at some point this year. And personally, we think we could all use a trailer right about now.
Especially given that cliffhanger.
Umbrella Academy cast shows off their Funko Pops. Credit: Umbrella Academy Twitter
What We Know
Last April, the Umbrella Academy Twitter account announced that the series would have a second season. In February, the account teased the second season with a series of character-inspired posters, which prompted fans to anticipate that a trailer would be dropping soon.
The series will likely get a third season, in typical Netflix fashion, as Way and Bá wrote three volumes of the Umbrella Academy graphic novels: Apocalypse Suite, Dallas, and Hotel Oblivion. But where is the trailer?
The cast started filming the second season last June, which we learned from Aidan Gallagher who plays Number Five on Instagram. Back in October Netflix UK teased an Hargreeves family selfie promising that “[season 2] is coming soon”. Netflix France announced late November that filming had wrapped.
Despite the coronavirus, Umbrella Academy showrunner Steve Blackman is still hard at work editing season two. He recently shared a post on Instagram captioned: “Even #corona can’t stop an Umbrella Academy Mix! But I swear we’re washing our hands…” The picture features a scene of Diego Hargreeves/Number Two (played by David Castañeda) rocking some long hair and looking a little different than he did in season one.
The Official Umbrella Academy Twitter account also teased some newcomers to the show. Fans of the comics were quick to note that these characters were not part of the comics.
Ritu Arya as Lila
A chameleon who can be as brilliant or as clinically insane as the situation requires.
Unpredictable, mischievous, sarcastic
Twisted sense of humor
Yusuf Gatewood as Raymond
A born leader and devoted husband.
Has the smarts, gravitas, and confidence to never have to prove it to anyone.
Has the innate ability to disarm you with a look.
Marin Ireland as Sissy
Fearless, no-nonsense Texas mom.
Married young for all the wrong reasons.
Eager to rediscover what life and love have to offer.
Quick Recap
In case you didn’t know Gerard Way (yes from My Chemical Romance) and Gabriel Bá launched their limited comic series in 2008. The series spanned twenty-four issues and ended in 2013. Originally, Universal Studios was slated to turn the comic books into a movie, which never panned out. In 2017, Netflix greenlit a live-action series, bringing on Altered Carbon’s Steve Blackman as showrunner. The series premiered February 15, 2019, to critical acclaim.
On October 1, 1989, forty-three women gave birth simultaneously, under mysterious circumstances. Seven of those children were adopted by billionaire and scientist Sir Reginald Hargreeves. The Umbrella Academy was formed as the children began to develop a unique set of special abilities. Hargreeves trained them, creating his own superhero team. One of the children, Vanya/Number Seven (played by Ellen Page), grew up thinking she was ordinary and powerless — which led to her feeling ostracized from her siblings’ exciting missions and adventures.
The season started with the siblings converging at their childhood home following the death of their father. It is established that they haven’t seen each other over the years due to various reasons that pulled them apart. Their long-lost brother Number Five returns from the future with news of an impending apocalypse that the Umbrella Academy must work together to stop. Over the course of ten episodes, absolute madness ensues.
The big reveal at the end of the season is that Vanya isn’t so ordinary after all. In fact, her powers were so dangerous that Reginald chose to medicate her and have Allison/Number Three (played by Emmy Raver-Lampman) use her powers to manipulate her into believing that she wasn’t special like the other Hargreeves. That cliffhanger saw Vanya unleashing a devastating blast of energy that struck the moon, causing asteroids to rain down upon the earth. Sparking the very apocalypse the Umbrella Academy was attempting to avoid. In the final moments, Number Five takes his siblings back in time, reverting them back to their teenage selves — much in the same way Five was de-aged during his season premiere time jump.
Umbrella Academy stars Tom Hopper as “Number One/Luther,” David Castañeda as “Number Two/Diego,” Emmy Raver-Lampman as “Number Three/Allison,” Robert Sheehan as “Number Four/Klaus,” Aidan Gallagher as “Number Five,” Justin H Min as “Number Six/Ben,” and Ellen Page as “Number Seven/Vanya”.
Hopefully, Netflix will tell us soon… when they are and give us the trailer fans desperately want.

Indiana Jones, Robotic Delivery Boys & AMD Ryzen
WOW!!! We have an amazing episode for you this week, first up, thank you to our 1000 weekly listeners, you are amazing. At last, winter is here, and Professor and Buck are both totally enjoying it. DJ has brought us the controversy of the week, with wild claims of a new Indiana Jones, and the boys pile in on him. Once again we solve the world’s greatest issues with logic and careful consideration. We decide Chris Pratt is not suitable for taking on the role and also convince DJ that Indiana Jones is not a Marvel character yet; give Disney time and they will make it happen eventually I’m sure.
With a fabulous Segway into the next topic we look at Digit. Not the figures, the robot that will help deliver your shopping from the car to your door. Professor decides he wants one to carry the shopping from the door to the kitchen and then cook his food. DJ calls robots slaves, revealing his desire to take over the world. Buck and Professor decide that given the way technology has been moving they wish to become Cyborgs and serve the robot overlords. We align the killer drones, self-replicating robots, driverless cars and robot dogs.
Moving along before we get into too much trouble. We have a new CPU that is pushing the limits and is looks surprised at how amazing it is. AMD is back baby and challenging Intel once again. Buck and Professor fully geek out over what this means for building your own system. If you get confused and lost please let us know; we will get Professor to write up a translation for you. We also figure out how to turn your computer into an oven. We mean literally you will be able to cook your sausages and toast your marsh mellows.
As always we make fun of everything, have a laugh with each other, at each other and life in general. We have the usual shout outs, remembrances, birthdays, and events of interest. As always, take care of yourselves, look out for each other, and stay hydrated. NERDS rule!!!
