So in a way, is there a difference between headcanoning frisk/chara as girls or boys and headcanoning them as trans/nonbinary if it's all headcanon in the end anyway and everyone is equally wrong?

yes there's a difference because arbitrarily deciding that canon established neutrality is something that you get to override and is automatically more "debatable" than a character being established as male or female is a very obvious double standard.

interpreting them as nonbinary is only a way to translate their neutrality while assuming that the rest of their race thinks of gender as we do in real life. it doesn't change anything about how the character is referred to. rather, it preserves it. headcanoning them as a boy or a girl throws aside their neutrality entirely as irrelevant and "arbitrary". for what. YOUR discomfort?

while i might not think the characters in the text itself are trans, this attitude REALLY speaks to people's ignorance and weirdness around trans people in real life. because outside the game, real gender neutral people exist and they ARE, of course, transgender. someone who has gender neutral and nonbinary friends and is normal about it is not going to scramble to immediately fit any neutral characters back into the gender binary like a fucking 5 year old. because for someone who isn't transphobic, neutrality is just another way for human beings to exist.

anyway how many gendered characters are there out there? how many textually neutral ones, to compare? go play with another one of your billions of toys, if not retconning an entire character is sow hawd fow u

Controversial (ig), but I still think it's okay to bash people for getting upset they can't be publicly inappropriate with the characters for a kids' show or write weird shit. Do you want to end up like that Sofia the first meme? Idc if the characters in the show are adults, the internet is already hostile to young fans of anything, and even in places that are supposed to be friendly with their demographic interest, they have to deal with seeing anything weird. I am just too traumatized from the psychological damage the mlp fandom did? Yes; but it's a good lesson to know, so anyone else who was like me doesn't have to be dismissed at for feeling uncomfortable. Heck, still today, I'm uncomfortable with that stuff in fandoms from kids' shows.

(Of course, with other media or shows that are clearly for older audiences, I don't care. Do what you want on that front it's like pretty fine i won't judge.)

despite his attempts to warn the other away, they are all futile. hans is disarmed, his sword knocked to the ground. and then, he falls, on his own, his body moving over top of zouin's to keep him safe, as best that he can. it won't work. those who want in dead do not care for who gets caught in the crossfire. that is what revenge does to a person. what it did to him. what it still does to him. Their parents were two different races. I think, based on the name, Von Fogler is German, and their mother was Chinese probably, but I can't really get more specific than that, I don't actually study this sorta thing. But they're biracial! I'd bet none of the cast is white, actually, but yeah Ginrei and Genya are mixed race kids.
