so long story short, i went to the post office

and it turned out to be the wrong post office lol

so i ran a bunch of errands and then found the RIGHT post office

which means

i got my package!!!!!!

it's the aqua backpack from the 20th anniversary supergroupies collection :D

#ya girl has been all over the damb place today #first to wrong post office #then i got a haircut and the stylist kept telling me how dry my hair is #then i had to use an uber to get to the right post office #and had to tear open the package so i could remove the bag because the box was too big to carry with me lol #then i found a drug store where i could get passport photo taken #but not before buying a box of mochi donuts on a whim from a cute shop #...which meant i ended up carrying a box around anyway #and then finally i dropped $120 on bookbinding supplies at a michaels before getting an uber back home #let's not think about the money i spent today and focus on the cute stuff!!!

one time when I was a server this lady (probably early 50s) came to my restaurant and when she got her food I went to check on her and she’s like can you help me open this and it’s a box of edibles and she’s like how many should I take for my first time and I’m like O N E

not to be anti feminist or anything but i rly was made to be like a nepo baby or a stay at home girlfriend or smth bc the idea of having an actual career is so ghastly and every day i woke up to go to my last job i wanted to quit… but also i made homemade hummus and mediterranean wraps today and i have a whole dresser of art supplies and started writing up plans to build a fantasy book themed hotel …. like there’s so many things i wanna do i just don’t wanna think about the money. and also sometimes i just want to make iced coffee and have a 7 hour long nighttime routine or like binge gilmore girls all day. as is our god given right. sooooo who’s gonna fund that for me huh

#like i know im very lucky and privileged the fact that i live at home and i AM taken care of rn. i am a stay at home daughter #but the pressure to get a job and build my own career rly takes away my lust for life ngl #my mom is like why don’t u try copyrighting? u can work from home and still do everything u want!#like mom u don’t understand i don’t want to write work emails for ppl i wanna write my silly little stories abt my silly little characters #i wanna go to the homeless shelter and bring care packages i lovingly crafted myself #i wanna randomly travel to thailand and then come back and take ski lessons and then open an animal sanctuary #i DO want to enjoy all the things the world has to offer. i do. and i think that’s good and normal and fine #but i also just want the freedom to help as many people as possible and make the world a better place #i want to have the energy and motivation to put all of my ideas into action #and i think there are lots of boring rich ppl in the world who could be making the world happier and they’re not #so i want a turn

fedex delivered my package to the wrong fucking apartment 😔😔

#my chewy package was “delivered” today #I was expecting it on my doorstep when I got home #and it was not there #so I checked the email again and then clicked through to the tracking number #and the picture that they uploaded to prove it was delivered #showed my package sitting on a door mat #I don't own a door mat 🙃#and it's a weekend which means the front office isn't open #so I can't call to see if anyone brought it in #I opened a case with FedEx so I guess we'll see if they get back to me #and on monday I'll call the front office #thankfully when I called chewy they were super understanding and offered to send a replacement package anyway #thank god for chewy.com for real

#well I can no longer tease Keith for being/looking obliviously in love with his bff #I think I’ve mentioned before that a big part of the reason I’m going to Taiwan this summer #is b/c my best friend from LSE lives there #we met the first week of university and it all just went from there #(rare for both of us b/c we’re introverted)#anyway #after I moved to the US for grad school #and she moved back to Taiwan to work for a bit and figure out what she wanted to do her MA in #we started sending each other care packages #(before this we used to bring each other stuff back from home during breaks )#((we also meet on zoom every week for a few hours to talk + watch movies))#they’re pretty good sized boxes with (mostly) food and also books and weird t-shirts/clothes and all of that kind of stuff #we’re quite good at this point at getting stuff the other will like #(I always trawl Trader Joe’s for interesting things I think she’ll enjoy. she got me 5 different flavors of salted plum from an indie #company in Taipei because she knows I love ume)#we always put notes for each other in the boxes too #I send hers to her parents house because it’s easier to have packages shipped to there than in her small flat share in Taipei #and her mom (with her permission) sometimes opens them and takes out something for herself to try #what I didn’t know until today #is that her mom also takes out the notes to put on her desk so they don’t get lost #and she’s been hinting to my friend more and more over the past 2 years that it’s okay if she’s ‘not into boys’ and her parents will support #her no matter who she dates (which is very sweet)#now I’m coming in less than a week #and when my friend was visiting home this weekend she took her aside and told her #that she didn’t have to introduce me as her friend and she could openly say I’m her partner of 2+ years #which (again) would be very sweet #if I were actually her girlfriend #I’m not #and I’m having dinner with her parents at some point in the next few weeks #my life is a bad sitcom

anyway, it's always funny to me when a phone is rated 4/5 stars and the reason it's missing a star is because it has a mediocre camera... and it doesn't have wireless charging... and its screen isn't blindingly bright.

basically, they're rating a 5/5 phone as a 4/5... for having more good features. i don't want to pay for useless camera features i won't use! i don't want to sear my retinas off! and i don't want to use wireless charging! these are all wins for me!

I joke. but I really was born in a bathroom. gross #also home births are not super safe I would not reccomend them. good things I didn;'t die #and it was close! good thing my grandma was there to open some fucking....suction package #with a pen?#they were supposed to have a midwife come but she never showed. definitely safer with a midwife ofc #but I just know about too many things that can randomly go wrong both during and after #like it can be a completely safe and joyous process #but you could also bleed to death the baby could get stuck coming out etc. etc #having a midwife definitely allieviates a lot of the risk but its not the same as a full medical team w eqipment #cor.txt
