Do you have any headcanons about the Infinight Interns (Now Infinights)?

I feel like there's a lot of potential with what they do in their free-time, wether it be camping or at the Infinight Quarters

bringing this from the spectril post but i totally see Gum Gum and Spectril getting along and seeing each other as siblings!!! They'd bond over flowers... and Gum Gum's interesting stories

giving psych another go after having watched the first season and a bit a couple years ago before stopping because I hadn't really been feeling it

only like six or seven eps in this time, and I am enjoying it, and I would like to stick with it this time, but god, now I do remember why I gave up on it in the first place. for all the show has going for it (which is a lot!) so much of the tone (and shawn is usually the biggest offender) falls back on those really insufferable attitudes from the mid ’00s of like. hit on every woman you see, getting laid is always the biggest priority. kneejerk disdain for anything nerdy or "uncool." I'm a guy and that means I care about porn and sports and that's it

Babysitting again, just read the cutest little book called “Pokko and The Drum”, it’s about this lil frog girl whose parents get her a toy drum, but she’s being obnoxious and loud so they send her outside. And then some other animals join her with instruments, and also this wolf who doesn’t play anything but is enjoying the music. And I’m reading and thinking to myself that “hey, this is cute, I bet the lil band is gonna get bigger, that’s so fun”

And then the wolf EATS THE RABBIT

AND I WAS NOT PREPARED FOR THAT OKAY THIS IS A KIDS BOOK AND THE ANIMALS WERE WEARING CLOTHING

I DIDNT THINK THERE WOULD BE MURDER

And anyways, Pokko the little frog girl turns to the wolf and is like “hey don’t do that anymore or you get kicked out of the band”, and the wolf is sorry, and the narration specifically states that he means it.

So. They keep playing music and do not address the DEAD RABBIT WHO JUST GOT EATEN

And then more animals join the band and they storm through Pokko’s house and her parents end up carried away, and her mom legit does not notice what’s happening cuz she’s reading a book (which, real tbh), and I am still not over the FUCKING RABBIT GETTING EATEN

July Update

Just wanted to let everyone know that I finished my prelim edits on Hiraeth this past weekend and have the document on my editor's desk as we speak. The current plan is to begin our hard edits starting this long holiday weekend with a goal to finish the manuscript completely before the end of August. I'm anticipating that the first three chapter will need to be rewritten completely (they were the very first ones written back in like 2018 and are therefore the oldest and weakest parts stylistically), but with any luck I'll have that taken care of this weekend.

I will not give a publication date yet as I've been at this too long to make more promises I can't guarantee keeping. I'd love to have it set for the end of this year/early next, but that'll depend on Sun's availability for this cover. Regardless, I hope you guys are excited to at least hear that progress is being made and we're on track to get the manuscript ready within the next twoish months.
