months after rings of power season two, i have to be honest. they tried so hard to appease the so called hardcore fanboys by erasing, sidelining, killing non-white characters they shot themselves in the foot.

this is will be a long rant, but mind you: i do not hate nor am i an anti-rop. quite the contrary: i loved the show. and especially because i loved it, i am TRULY disapppointed with what they did this season.

first things first, what the actual fuck did they do to arondir? and please, do not blame it on bronwyn's actress leaving the tv show. let's face it as it is: incompetence from writers.

they had a whole vengeance arc right in front of their faces. they had all that ent-wives scene that would've worked wonders with a vengeance arc. and they chose to do nothing with it.

they sidelined arondir to the point he was basically a babysit to isildur and his new girlfriend — fine, he felt responsible for theo, but theo himself was also wasted. you only had arondir coming to scenes to show up some cool tricks and gone for the entire season.

where's the weight of his loss? where's the impact of this loss on his character? there's nothing. nothing. the character is empty. they did no justice for a character who spent the entire season fighting to protect people he lost!!!!

and yeah, what about his entire arc with adar, the main antagonisty and biggest conflict? oh yeah, they gave it to galadriel. :D

i am sorry but that ""alliance"" between adar and galadriel meant nothing to me, it spoke nothing to me, because that wasn't her arc. it was arondir's. if we wanted to bring adar close to the main cause in defeating sauron, arondir was the best choice. he faced adar as an equal, he earned his admiration, they've built an entire connection throughout season one and you want me to care about his union to galadriel?

and yes, their union would've worked better with arondir between them. because unlike galadriel, he had the nuance to see adar as an equal since the start even when they were enemies.

and it's so fucked up that the whole conflict they settled up since season one meant NOTHING. like, if you were not gonna make the whole forgiviness thing REAL, than at least make the vengeance real. they faced each other ONCE in the entire season and it's so fucked up, so rushed, arondir is deadly injured in one second and the next he's totally fine, as if nothing happened.

where does it make justice to that character? where is the justice to his development? you take his whole arc and give it to another character, and now you can't even give him a proper ending to his conflict? you can't even build a decent continuity?

i could make a whole other dissertation of how adar also felt flat because his arc was attached to galadriel that way, with no weight with the development of their connection. and how that betrayal was not only rushed, but it showed how galadriel wasn't made for that union — she had zero fucks to give about him in the end.

and i'm not gonna even bring valandil to the conversation, because he is another non-white character that they just discarded at the first opportunity. they acted as if valandil always knew isildur was alive, for the amount of no fucks he seemed to give. once again, no weight for the loss those characters faced.

this is so awful i feel like the first season with all its problems is still better than the second season with all its glory. and not only that, but as someone who truly enjoyed that show, it killed my entire hype and joy in watching it. i'll give another chance when season three arrives. but i'll not trust it. i don't think they'll do it any more justice.

so I watched ep. 4 of link click yingdu and holy fuck yall

well at least we know that its likely in any timeline Cheng got his powers himself he didnt have to get traumatized by watchin someone die (still traumatized tho in this case bc lets be honest what is link click with out trauma).

I am curious to see if they are going to explain why certain people have powers though, because ig in the grand scheme of this web of time that link click has woven its not the most pressing matter.

also im pretty sure yingdu is supposed to be the prequel to season 1 and 2 like specifically and considering Cheng didnt know he could clap himself into a photo by himself in season 1 I am curious to see how the show ties this all together because link click is way to fucking smart to mess up a big detail like this

I mean I really hope they dont but I wouldn't put it passed link click to kill Cheng by the end of yingdu have lu dive again and then consequently lead into s1 and s2

as someone who is extremely curious and willing to learn, i will find a way to learn about it. whatever subject, i am and will always continue to learn about it. i despise those who have and are actively trying to censor subjects and make taboo of it. i want to be the forbidden library, the keeper of secrets and lost knowledge. but damn the modern censorships and the double standards. to me, curiosity is impossible to suppress. to those who quote ‘curiosity killed the cat’, i rebuttal with ‘but satisfaction brought it back’.

AHH HEYY IVE BEEN GOOD… finally started college in january, it’s been a little over a month & it’s been going well kind of lol… classes are HARD but we persevere (and LEARN FROM OUR MISTAKES AND DONT TAKE THE SAME KINDS OF CLASSES NEXT SEMESTER also it’s actually just these two specific classes for reasons that would require a whole separate rant ugh the other ones aren’t bad), i haven’t really made like actual friends yet but there are some promising groups im in so yayy hopefully i can actually click with people ugh it is soo hard. so tldr college is hard but this is the average first semester experience so i’m chillin, plus sammie and i are still going strong after over a year together now and we’re in it together at the same college !! which makes it easier bc this place is a 20 hour drive from my hometown i knew NO ONE when i came here lol i have yet to meet someone else from my state besides sammie. how have u been as well??? ahh i wish i were more active on here i miss u!

An adaptation of Sherlock Holmes set in a world in which the fictional character/literary juggernaut Sherlock Holmes, and all the subsequent adaptations thereof, still exist.

Sherlock Holmes (pronounced Holl-mess, as he is constantly reminding people) just had the misfortune of having parents who really liked the books, and his attitude towards his fictional counterpart is pretty much the same as that of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle.

Sherlock runs a Youtube Theory channel called Mysteries Unwrapped with Sherlock Holmes. He has received no less than seven cease and desist letters from the Conan Doyle estate, all of which he has so faded managed to rebuff by pointing out that that's literally his name.

(No he won't change his name. He's Sherlock Holmes the real live human person. Let Sherlock Holmes the non existent fictional character change his name.)

John is Sherlock's flatmate. Sherlock almost refused to live with him once he realised that it would mean staying with a medical student named John, and only gave in once John pointed out that: a) he's a biomedical student, which is completely different from an md, and b) his surname isn't Watson.

It's now been three years, which is long enough for them to have developed a genuine friendship, and for John to have a) started working towards his PhD in biotechnology, and b) for him to start dating somebody with the surname Watson.

Sherlock can feel the narrative closing in.

His Youtube channel is meant to be focused on lost media, fan theories and stuff like that, but he keeps accidentally stumbling upon and then solving genuine crimes.

His brother Mycroft may or may not have chosen that name after he transitions specifically to annoy him.

He doesn't even live in London, but somehow the only flat they could afford was on a street named fucking Baker Street.

what I wouldn't give for something to have happened during like idk infinity war or endgame (when like everyone was in the movie) where for a brief second as everyone is like running around strange and ross bump into each other. initially it seems like ross is going to apologize before running off to where ever he needs to go but instead goes quiet before asking some form of do I know you. and you can just see it in strange's eyes, the change from him to Sherlock. strange then says some bull shit like doubtful or there are many universes or idk some shit before popping his collar and winking. then he dramatically turns away off to where ever he was supposed to be before hand. ross just stands there for a second, maybe makes a comment abt the collar and stupid cheekbones, before also going back to what he needs to do as well. then the scene changes, they never address it again and boom entire Sherlock fandom screaming.

bonus if when strange turns he says some shit like huh he seems like a John.

i choose to believe that this movie was originally going to feature a kiss between Doctor Strange and Black Panther's Everett Ross (portrayed by Martin Freeman) basically just so i can start a new tumblr legend i like to call "The Johnlock Conspiracy 2: Marvel Edition". i want all the closet superwholocks who follow me to make a big fuss about how evil homophobic disney axed johnlock2. because it would be funny.
