It's so funny to me looking back now, how before I started reading dungeon meshi I kept seeing all these posts about Laios fighting god and all that went through my head was "i thought this was a cooking manga?" and for a good chunk of the story i kept thinking that, because this manga takes a long time to establish everything before we get to the "kill god" part, but in no way does the "kill god" part feel rushed, exactly because of all the establishing chapters and the slow build to it, the story is perfectly constructed from start to finish. The "eat mushrooms" to "kill god" pipeline is real and my friend Laios went through it.

Such a small detail that didn't even need to be included if this were a lesser anime. A quiet scene, a moment of gratitude without words from a woman who didn't think she still wanted to live and the woman who saved her.
