Alicia Keys' HELL'S KITCHEN Musical Coming To The Public Theater In The Fall

Alicia Keys' original HELL's KITCHEN musical is coming to the New York Public Theater in the fall. Keys wrote new music for the production based on her life in the Hell's Kitchen neighborhood in New York City. Playwright Kristoffer Diaz,  choreographer Camille A. Brown, director Michael Greif and musical supervisor Adam Blackstone all worked on the show. Seventeen-year-old Ali is the main character who is seeking her dream of stardom and falls in love with a drummer. Ali and her mother address issues of race and growing up in the chaos of New York City.

Possibly Doing a "Begins" Series

So, I've kind of been obsessing over 9-1-1/9-1-1: Lone Star lately and think that it would be cool to do a "Begins" Series with characters from One Chicago and maybe The Resident, by using the information that we have gotten from the shows about them (after I finish all my other WIPs, but I actually wanna have them written ahead of time instead of writing as I go). I have an idea of how I want some of them to go, others are undecided as of right now and some I'm debating if I should do one for said character. Caruso Pascoski di padre polacco.

Caruso Pascoski di padre polacco è uno dei migliori film di Francesco Nuti, film dove Nuti è attore ma anche regista, la sua quarta regia. Il film si svolge, ovviamente, a Firenze e rimane famosa la scena di Caruso ubriaco presso il caffè Rivoire ripreso dal basso e con alle spalle la torre di Arnolfo di Palazzo Vecchio. Nel Film c'è tutta Firenze, i luoghi famosi nel mondo e quelli famosi per i fiorentini, una fotografia che esalta la città e l'amore di Nuti per Firenze. La trama è uno specchio dei giorni nostri, dove i rapporti interpersonali sia con i genitori che all'interno del matrimonio sono complessi e caratterizzati dall'assenza di comunicazione. Non a caso Caruso diventa psicanalista e ascolta costantemente i problemi più assurdi e disparati dei suoi pazienti. Un padre (Umberto Angelucci) sempre zitto e una madre (Gianna Sammarco) asfissiante lo portano poi ad un matrimonio con una donna (Clarissa Bur) conquistata in una vita; un matrimonio che però si sfalda con la moglie che lo lascia senza una ragione. Intorno a questa vicenda ruota poi il film, nel disperato tentativo di capire il perchè. Non solo il perchè è stato lasciato ma il perchè stesso che caratterizza la nostra vita quotidiana. Resta famosa la scena alle Cascine, all'Indiano, dove Caruso insieme al suo amico avvocato (Antonio Petrocelli) associa ad ogni partito politico (prima Repubblica) un salume. Un parallelismo che oggi invece che con i salumi sarebbe meglio fare con gli insetti.

Un grandissimo Novello Novelli nella parte del Maresciallo dei Carabinieri caratterizza il film con la ricerca da parte di Caruso di un padre nell'autorità. Il "Dammi un bacino" è diventato un tormentone in quel periodo e i ragazzi ci scherzavano continuamente. Nel dipanarsi della storia Caruso scopre che Giulia si è fidanzata con un suo paziente, Edoardo (Ricky Tognazzi), diagnosticato come omosessuale latente. Proprio questa condizione determina che Caruso e Giulia diventano amanti sino a che Eduardo scoperta la sua omosessualità chiarisce e i due tornano ufficialmente insieme con il sospetto recondito di una insoddisfazione reciproca sempre presente. Dovrei, forse, scrivere due righe sulla vita di Francesco Nuti ma preferisco non farlo, l'ho sempre considerato un genio che si esprimeva attraverso una comica di sponda, una di quelle comiche che arrivano con qualche secondo di ritardo ma poi non ti lasciano più, non ti fanno solo sorridere ma pensare sorridendo.
