Dithered 'icons' made from free stock images from pexels.com. Inspired by the videogame "Who's Lila?" by Garage Heathen.

I kinda really enjoy the little icons used in Who's Lila? - the lightbulb, the eye and mouth icons etc. So I decided to make a few myself, using stock images and dithering.

These could be used for a fangame, fanart edits, discord emojis/stickers (?), or even a fanpage, for example as a cursor icon or to make an interactive page - the lightbulbs could lead viewers to various subpages for example.

I could even make patterns out of these, now that I think about it. Anyone else have any ideas what to use them for? (Also, anyone interested in the undithered, unscaled pngs?)

I finished my rewatch/relisten of the Vox Machina campaign in mid-December (although I recently re-embarked on the second half of the Chroma Conclave arc hoping season 3 of TLVOM will be announced (released?? 🤞) by the time I reach "A Bard's Lament"). Predictably, I bawled, AGAIN, but by then I'd already been scribbling and sketching ideas for this for... a couple of weeks? Hence the little WIP preview last month.

I'll never shut up about this moment. It's just as beautiful as it's heartbreaking, in- and off-game, especially taking into account all the context of characters/people involved.

Also, bonus, because after I finished sketching that 6th frame I thought a hug was needed.

The scene from C3E105 with Braius trying to convince Highbearer Vord that he follows a Platinum Dragon saint in particular is already funny, but on top of that watching Sam Riegel confidently bullshit his way through making up a saint and then pulling those faces as he waits to see if it worked? Spectacular. Hilarious. I'm so glad he's back.

Pretty sure the whole thing went like this:

Braius, outwardly: "This is awesome. I'm awesome. I got this."

Braius, inwardly: "…oh shit, does he look convinced?"

Meanwhile, Sam, giving us top tier cartoon expressions: 😬

(one of these days I'll watch Bell's Hells from start to current (/finish?) and then I'll REALLY fall into that rabbit hole - and I'm looking forward to it 💜)

Redraw of this great little moment in Vox Machina: Origins Vol. 2 when Scanlan, Keyleth and the twins are looking for Grog and meet Pike for the first time - and Scanlan is struck speechless :D (which is a huge thing, for a bard, especially this one!) He just stares at her with heart eyes in the two pages after this one and doesn't utter a single word until she scries on Grog and gasps (at which point he drops all pretence of chill and worriedly asks "Was it Grog? Is he all right?" GOD I LOVE MY BIG AND SMALLS.) (anyway.)

I'll just let the man describe this moment in his own words (ie. his "do not open till I'm dead" letter to Pike):

The moment I first saw you was not a choir of angels singing, nor silly butterflies fluttering in my chest. No, the moment I met Pike Trickfoot was the tragic moment I realized that my heart, my soul, would be forever incomplete without you.

That darn bard is good with words, huh :D Provided he has the brainspace for it, anyway.
