Hello everyone!

It's been some time since my last post, but with Fashion Dreamer coming out soon, I thought it was time to revive this blog. If any of you were around way back when, you might remember Aesthetica, a fan project that was meant to be a spin-off of Nuances, the in-game fashion magazine for the original game and Trendsetters/New Style Boutique. Before the imminent release of Fashion Dreamer, I wanted to make a special homage to the Style Savvy series of games - and that's how this final issue of Aesthetica came to be!

Why I think Fashion Dreamer is the spiritual successor to Style Savvy / Girls Mode / Style Boutique

The latest Nintendo Direct just dropped and it showed a trailer to a brand new fashion game. (Trailer below is Japanese, but there was an english trailer in the direct)

From the art style to a couple of hair assets, even a few poses, it looks and feels similar to the Style Savvy series. Developed by xSEED / Marvelous, Fashion Dreamer has almost everything Style Savvy fans have been asking for, the ability to create your own fashions, dressing up boys and even playing as them. In this game, you play as a fashion influencer, you can dress up customers, buy clothes from other people, and take photos like in previous games, but now you can walk around the town.

Right now syn-sophia is developing for the last 3ish years along side takaraTOMY for Idol Land Pripara which is on the verge of release this spring (fingers cross it actually releases this year). The last Style Savvy game released in 2017 on the 3DS, and Styling Star felt like the series’ last hurrah and probably won’t be making a major coming back anytime soon. (Heck I could be wrong)

I’m looking forward to playing Fashion Dreamer and seeing if it lives up to what I expected. (Lol I might do a dedicated review, who knows)

Okay, Now I have to do a Video on Fashion Dreamer

I do not think I have seen great support like this that takes the information from both western and eastern communities into account when it comes to updates.

And this it a community that has followed Syn Sophia since Style Savvy and we have been waiting for years for their next game. Though Fashion Dreamer is sister successor to Style Savvy, there's a lot to be done but I am still impressed by a lot of things.

I'll take my Christmas Streaming Break to write and probably edit a video on this one. People probably expect it since my Style Savvy video exploded out of no where. But I am so ready to do this.
