🇬🇧: I don't know why but with Elias I always imagined this ghost/monster that he is attached to behind that tells him the truth or lies of other people. so I also drew this "thing", but I don't want it to be interpreted badly, it's just my imagination that created it.

I promise this will be my only post on the topic.

I left the GitM server of my own volition a year ago. I haven’t kept up with any of the reading or made art about this fandom since then. I left because the allegations of harassment and manipulation from people in positions of authority within the server are true.

This isn't a blanket condemnation to everyone related to the server. The toxicity stems from a select but recurring few.

What people need to understand is that this has been a pervasive problem happening beneath the surface with the server. There’s a pattern of moderators publicly touting sanctimonious messages of maturity, and “rising above the drama,” while privately accosting and belittling users (or having others do it for them) through backchannels and direct messages. When users speak up, messages disappear and are dismissed with the refrain: “What are you talking about?”  “Where’s your proof?”

These same moderators would quietly lurk in the background in servers outside of Misutamojis to gather reconnaissance to ban anyone critical of the server or its leadership. These were power plays, thinly veiled attempts to silence dissent. And now, with the spotlight turned toward them recently, they vanished—claiming “backlash” we’re not privy to. Actions not very indicative of innocence.

I’m not here to rally anyone or ask you denounce anyone. I genuinely don’t care about that. I haven't been part of the community for quite some time. If you like the server, that’s fine. Don’t feel you can’t enjoy it for what it is. But I won’t ignore the abuse of power that’s been allowed in a space that parades itself on being something it's not. I'm calling a spade a spade.

There is a constant unease of walking on eggshells so many experience when in that server. A sense of perpetual self-censoring just to avoid being targeted—it’s there for a reason. This is what happens.
