Omg I saw sinners yesterday and tbh it was NOT overhyped. I didn't know whether to expect musical theater vibes/if that would be a jarring transition for a horror movie but it wasn't jarring at all, I'd say it incorporated music in a way that felt totally natural & relevant to the plot and themes. I really liked that it focused so heavily on the relationships between the characters because it made the horror more visceral and frightening after the quieter moments. Plenty of blood, guts, and body horror for the blood & guts enjoyers. and tragedy for the tragedy enjoyers (ME). overall just felt really true to the time & place it was trying to portray. Had a lot of the emotional impact I think is often missing in horror stories

I was trying to explain what I found so attractive about Dr. Robbie to my cousins and friends and they just kept looking at me like they were humoring me and all I thought was I need someone to understand the hold this man has on me.

It's the charisma. I think it's a lot more understated than other characters (like Price, Ghost, Jason Todd) because it's quieter, softer, but there's this really attractive sense of reliability about him. And competence.

It also helps that he has the soul of an old stray dog that vaguely remembers what a warm bed feels like, and also kinda looks like he might flinch if you touched him, but would be the first to put himself in the line of fire for someone he cared about. And would pull you tighter into a hug if you needed it and then crack a stupid quip after if it got too sappy. It's just the whole package and he seems so safe lmao

(alsoooooooo he's super hot when he's staring back at Collins with that sad forlorn look on his face and also being all "tough love" on Samira. like yes you're so hot when you're trying to be all stern and angry and pulling a "Dad Is Very Disappointed In You" but somehow even hotter when you're yearning)

God i was glued to the screen during this part of the game, the tension was PALPABLE and seeing the real Kris interact with who has been literally fucking possessing them and controlling their life was incredible and so fucking raw.
