saw a post on twitter talking about seawing teeth and how they probably have super fucked up jaws like goblin sharks and i had to draw it

Whats your favourite fish. Or your top 3 favs

im really not a fish pro as i claim to be but i certainly have favs. may be a bit corny, but they deserve attention and they will get it

1. OARFISH or king of the herrings (or queen♥️)

• big girl

• looks scary As Fuck (panik)

• but shes actually harmless and can't even move fast (kalm)

• but if you see a big one near the shoreline it means that the sea is getting hella stormy bc nothing aside from poseidon himself can bring This up (panik)

• the way she swims is kinda goofy, shes so long that sometimes she just waves w her dosal fin and thinks that's enough. girl is doing The Bare Minimum and honestly? productivity is overrated.

nothing can beat oarfish for me, though marine life is fascinating and here are other fishies that deserve attention

top 3 lil aquarium bois:

1. glofish. i remember seeing a giant vertical aquarium with these in the zoo when i was little and it probably changed me forever. they somehow managed to put the thing that makes jellyfish glow in their regular fish - im telling you, GLOfish is not just a name.

2. gourami. when we had axolotls we also had these baddies in the aquarium with them. they may seem pretty regular when you google them, but they are literally aliens. their ventral fins are long and thin and honestly pretty useless for swimming ig.... they use their fins... to touch things. have you ever seen a fish with arms. it was magic for little me.

3. ghost glass catfish. wish i saw them irl, unfortunately i only came across it when i googled the references for subnautica spices. they're described as energetic social guys, and damn i Wish there was a way to light an aquarium to make them shoot rainbows from time to time. sometimes the variety of catfish forms fascinates me, like they all have whiskers but they're soo different! we had little spotted catfish that liked hanging on the walls and an adhd shark catfish who was constantly swimming from side to side (ig they need it to make their gills move, same as sharks) but there are so much more including giant ones even.

top 3 deepsea esoteric bimbos:

1. barreleyes. idk which particular spices is the one from the pic, they all are quite similar for me bc i haven't spent much time researching. they all are equally gorgeous cousins for me. no comments. you knew i would put it here; i knew i would put it here; she deserves to be displayed and cherished. they say she can move her pretty eyes but i haven't found any good footage. the concept kinda reminds me of that squid w one big eye for looking down and one little eye for looking up. they are very.. direction oriented girls, tho there is a spices that looks forward w her barrel eyes.

2. goblin shark. they're just a lil person. a lil sib. not very photogenic, their photos are quite creepy but the video of their attack may actually be the best illustration to the word 'ñom' ive ever seen. they goofy. look at them. just caught a fishy and pretend it's not them. they make me feel Emotions

3. snailfish. ive watched a bunnch of whalefall vids but i don't remember the decomposers being fish? like usually they're some mollusks like octopi, or mb crabs or worms. but apparently i missed these guys, they looked pretty fishy, i checked them and boom. snailfish. these bros do the important job of cleaning the bottom. pretty boys, it's a pity that i haven't discovered them earlier. i usually don't like the boney deepsea gulper eels or anglerfish so it's nice to see such pretty creatures down there. also poor crabs lol, these fish lay eggs in them :(

top 3 beautiful 'regular' fishies

1. gobys!!! damn himbos, they cant find a way without a map and they have no pens to draw maps so they are disoriented ! found one in a dolphin's skull, he was legitimately like 'where exit :('

2. ruffs!!! i didn't even dare touch the adult versions, even lils are so sharp 😭 i get you bbg i get you. they have sharp spines and they are Mad at you all the time. i connect with them on a deeper level.

3. me. im a nice fish.

Reunion

Hazy blue eyes looked around the room, smiling warmly at their family gathered around them. “Cheer up everyone, I dont want to see tears. I want you to celebrate my life, not mourn me forever.” I said with a tired smile. “ Especially you, wombmate.” i say with a grin as I lock eyes with Ruby, brushing my snow white hair out of my eyes.

A choked laugh escapes my twin, my antics to cheer her up working as always as Angel holds her in a comforting hold. “ Sharkie…I dont want to say goodbye. I’m going to miss you too much.” she says tearfully.

“Rubes… its not goodbye, not really. Its more of a… see you later. I’ll see Mom and Dad again… and we’ll be waiting for you.” I say softly.

“ Maybe you’ll even get to see Lily the goblinshark and Bel the hammerhead on the rainbow bridge.” Ruby chuckles wetly, Angel smiling behind her.

“ One can only hope, Rubes.” I grin at her, my eyes sliding shut as i become overwhelmed with exhaustion, able to feel my elderly form shutting down.

The next time i open my eyes, im stood in front of a seemingly never ending row of desks, a strangely familiar figure in a pink hijab smiling at me as I sit in front of her desk. “Hello, Sharkie.”

My eyes widen as memories flash through my mind. “Siedah!” I gasp, remembering her now.

She laughs happily, a warm smile on her face. “Are you ready? You've got several people eagerly awaiting you.” She asks, holding up my sea blue file.

“Lets do this.” I grin at her, choosing universal judgment.

The second I appear in my paradise I smile widely as my clothes shift into my old shark onesie and race out the door, heading to the help desk. “ Moms! Dads!” i yell happily, diving into Lily’s arms and clinging to her; Bel , Ally, and my dad from my previous life pulling us into a group hug.

“ Hey, baby shark.” Lily chokes out, happy tears in her eyes as she holds me close, pressing a kiss to my hair. “Welcome home, kiddo.”

I chuckle wetly, basking in the feeling of seeing all of my parents again. “Im back, I’m home..” I say softly, happy to be back with my family

Glass Spider AU 【♤ Pt. 3♤】

AKA: ★~Villianous Edition!~★

Parts 1 & 2

Now to flesh out a bit about our resident villians: The Sinistrum Orichalcum. A loose conglomeration of cursed gem users and their assorted allies. They're a varied and rather tumultous bunch that, despite everything, seem to share the same goal. To collect the cursed gems that drew them together before anyone else can get their hands on them. Why? Simple. Those who control the gems can control New Londhatten, and then, the world. (However, like all organizations, there seems to be some movement in the darker than black. Shadowed talks of magic and science intertwined, stolen powers and dark arts with mentions of boosters and artifical gems? Lord only knows what happens behind closed door and in the minds of madmen...)

The curtain rises upon the stage and here we have our antagonists in this tale of tragedy and intrigue.

【Professor Kracken】 A former marine biologist with a serious hoarding problem turned greedy treasure hunter. His ability to control the high seas coupled with that urge to ruthlessly plunder is surely to lead him to Davy Jones' Locker.

【Hercules】 A former bodyguard who decided one day to bill himself as "a philantropist who helps the poor out of the 'kindness' of his heart." Pitch had the misfortune of running into him during his stint on the lamb and inadvertantly uncovers the man's extortionist schemes thus currying favour with the lower class of New Londhatten.

【The Steel Dragon】 A somewhat sadistic underground medic with a draw towards exessive body modification. Procuring a gem that let him literally transform his body was the best thing that ever happened to him, at first anyway...

【Mysterion The Magnificant】A failed small-name stage magician with a big ego who hopes his new aeronautic abilities will be his one way ticket to stardom.

【Atlas Jones】 Mike's father and owner of Prometheian Forges. Not a bad guy, per say, just strict. He was actually on positive terms with Pitch (in no fault due to his son) until things kind of went to shit. See, now he had been kind of struggling with money issues recently due to rival factory buisness opening shop. Eventually he just couldn't keep up so he took the other's deal and then Prometheian Forges was now a part of Orichalcum Metalworks. With this devil's deal he learned the secret to the buisness's success and learned the hard way that if you get greedy & play with the Fox's fire you're going to get burned. (And through a truly tragic series of events recieved firsthand knowledge as to what it was like to have both fire and lightning wage war in your soul as the power of not one but two cursed gems wound up ripping his mind and soul asunder.)

【The Grey Goblinshark】 A wealthy shipping empire tycoon with ties to the crown and a penchant for dark magic. Plays up his good public image by regularly holding fishing tournaments to "reminisce on his roots as a simple fisherman from Innsmouth" and "donating" pieces from his private collection to places such as the New Londonhatten Museum. Seems to take great pleasure in taunting the Glass Arachnia with his newfound criminal status and actively challenges him to come after his "newly reclaimed" collection featuring an (in his own words: "paultry and useless bauble") dubbed the Glass Spider. (It kind of backfired on them heavily because Pitch, having nothing left to lose at this point but the clothes on his back and the steadfast desire to keep those cursed atrocities out their wretched hands, then plotted his biggest heist yet. Although, unbeknownst to the spiderling, he wasn't bereft of everything just yet. For you see, during that stint on the run from the coppers all those little deeds he did slowly began to add up and at the end of the day it turns out he had amased quite the following of well-wishers. Ones that would later prove instrumental in providing him a buffer to make his escape. After all, despite grit and grime, the city protects its own.) (("Y-You, you're going to get yourselves hurt. Killed even!" He shook his head slowly, disbelief mounting as person after person crept out of the woodwork all to, what? Help him?

"I don't...what?" A hand clutched clutched at his aching head as a deli worker landed a solid blow to an officer's skull. They didn't get back up.

They huffed with a gruff nod and turned to the flabbergasted teen. "Well," It was hard to hear in the pandemonium but thankfully his ears weren't as busted up as his impromptu mask. "I reckon it was bout time. Damn bobbies gettin' too full of 'emself." They spat, giving the lawman a none too soft kick. "Gets what's commin' to 'em."

The other straightened and pinned him a piercing look. "Saw what you did fer that kid. And, look. No one's gonna shower yeh with medals and all that tripe but..." With a huff the other turned away. "Never think we don't repay our debts. Yeh hear?

"...Yeah."

A careless wave of the hand," Yeh, yeah. Now go on. Get. Shoo."

And before he could restrain himself, he surged forward pressing the small smoke orb into the startled other's palm. "Thank you."

And he was off.))

Just dropping these two drawings, and progress shots, of some Animal Crossing O.C.s I drew last year. I wanted to post them before the Animal Crossing Direct tomorrow. The O.C.s are all sharks, three villagers and one special character, all based on actual shark species. I got the inspiration from @astralrequin and the shark characters they made in an Animal Crossing piece, plus I started on them on the last day of Shark Week 2020. To sum up the villagers, Zesti, Gobert, and Baleog, whom I named with no better viking names in mind, are a lemon shark, a goblin shark, and a Greenland shark respectively. The special character Frillow, full name Frillamina, is a maid waitress who would work at The Roost, or another O.C.s café, but that's for another day, maybe. She is also a frill shark, and yes I know frill sharks don't have exposed external rows of teeth, but it's a mistake that I found out late into it and I liked it so I rolled with it for now.
