Actual southern preacher's daughter chiming in because LMFAO. Y'all cannot be serious -- people honest to Goddess pay real money to see a grown male caterwaul about pretending to have the first fucking clue what the child abuse growing up female in poor christian rural towns is like? LOL. ROFL, even.

Honestly fuck JKR and everything her nasty ass stands for but Callum Turner as Theseus Scamander?

AUGH. was planning a trip to a big city memorial museum i've never been to before bc all my school field trips and countless later visits were to the main art and history museum. i just looked up the memorial museum, and not only do they have a REALLY cool exhibit coming up concerning a topic i'm interested in, not only do they also have a really extensive archive that available to both academics and the public upon appointment, but volunteer opportunities are available for several positions in the museum including archival assistance!!!
it's administrative duties rather than archival management (which good, people need qualifications for that) but that's literally what i'm considering getting a degree in!!! so it's not only something i'd be passionate about if my application was accepted, but if i decide to commit and enroll this fall, then that would be getting experience in the field!

Watched The Invisible Man 2020 and was very skeptical going into it about how they would handle it but ngl. I enjoyed it. I get why ppl would hate it tho, but I’m gonna be real, the only people I’d ever want to discuss this movie with are other abuse survivors lol. I was in a good mental place watching this but the first half especially really got to me. Luckily the second half while still gutwrenching was pure revenge fantasy and I cheered so loud jumping off the couch at that last scene… I’m sure there’s tons of people saying “she should have done THIS instead” and like okay buddy I know it’s a movie here but I don’t know if I’d ever trust you with my trauma based off that alone.
Idk! Just think I’ll be reflecting on this movie more and that it’s going to definitely stick with me. I think there’s plenty of criticism to be had but it worked for me.

they let francis lawrence direct all the hunger games movies, including the snow pov origins: evil hottie rising but catherine hardwicke got the boot after they saw that twilight was making millions? explain to me how that makes sense.

might just be because i was skimming the "nerd boys getting angry that denji didn't do a complete 180 on his characterization regarding relationships between part 1 and part 2 while also being justifiably put off that his brain does seem to be running at a not-so-great 20% this whole part -which makes sense in context (being a single father whose never really had an independent life before actually attending school for the first time would eat up ANYBODY) but can feel like he's backsliding into "silly dumbass comic relief" what with all the other narrative changes" sections of the we-are-criticizing-that-manga-we-really-like crowd but this fucking chapter felt like splashing my face with cold water (positive).
