i cant stop thinking about yuuta now. like sure i liked him well enough but after this chapter he has my entire heart. and he is so so so tragic. (of course he is everyone here is)

its this that i keep going back to in my head. it encapsulates what i think is yuuta's grief.

right before this, of course, we've seen him screaming about how nobody ever cared about demanding gojo to be a monster. he cares for gojo so deeply, of course, because gojo saved him, gojo is practically his dad, and he actually sees gojo.

hes a special grade, one of few, and out of the special grades, i think hes the only one with realistic potential to surpass gojo. he has the potential to be gojos peer, so gojo doesnt have to be alone. hes the only one strong enough to save gojo, in a way, to actually take up his burden and allow gojo to be human in a way he hasnt been since geto.

but yuuta is simply too late. hes too young, too unpolished, too late. gojo's already been a monster for a decade, with no other choice and with nobody to stand by his side. yuuta cant save him now.

thats what i think really crystallized for me in this panel. yuuta is telling gojo about his plan, the plan that was so controversial with everyone else because of yuuta's humanity being on the line, the plan that only he could ever pull off. and gojo shrugs it off, not shocked in the least, and just tells yuuta that he's got to keep working because he's not good enough yet.

the talk about yuuta's heritage is so important to this too. "you might've been born even more blessed than me". does that ring any bells, maybe? "i alone am the honored one?"

gojo is acknowledging that yuuta could've been at his side, could've been strong enough to save satoru, for him to not be alone in this curse of a blessing of strength anymore. but hes just. too. late.

Genuinely curious, did you actually read the chapter or are you someone that only keeps up with the series through leaks and/or twitter/tiktok summaries?

Gojo mistakenly believes that Miguel's build is how it is solely because he isn't Japanese (and is black) and Miguel goes on to correct him saying that is an untrue stereotype.

I'm not sure where you live, but I've definitely heard people claim that some athletes have an advantage due to their race, which isn't actually true, but it is a common misconception.

So yes, what Gojo says is based on a racist stereotype, but there is a big difference between saying something racist due to ignorance and saying something racist out of malice.

Gojo didn't realize what he was saying was incorrect and a racist stereotype and once Miguel educates him he immediately apologizes (something gojo is known for not often doing)

Also please don't hate on gege for including this. He is using this as an example to educate his audience. It may seem super obvious to more western audiences, but to japan that is a monoethic country its more understandable that people wouldnt know.

random scene i kinda wanna write (wont now tho 😔✊)-- brought to you by [megumi gojo found family ness] being my favourite thing. and the fact that megumi has no idea how actually fucked up the events that lead to him getting a new "caretaker" were (its almost funny)

idk what tone id go for after that though. like maybe shoko finds him snooping and she decides '... i am not dealing with this' but still calmly tells him a *bit* more about it before telling him to go for a walk or sum pft

id keep it light i guess. and i dont think megumi would go talk with gojo at first cuz "feelings, ew, 'cringe'" , but something would shift between them (kinda awkwardly) and i think that would be enough for gojo to eventually up his "annoying tactic" game and he'd get megumi to give up and confess and then he would be like 'wow, nvm, i am not having this conversation' [<- gojo 🤝 shoko frl] "oh that! dw about it megugu 👍, haha!" and he would get all elusive with would fucking backfire because it would hit megumi like a truck that 'oh wow, gojo has done this for as long as ive known him'

also megumi probably had questions and unsure feelings about his dad "killing" gojo and doing whatever else is in the report, gojo killing his dad "back", and gojo ('after all of this ??') taking on the role of being his "dad's replacement" ; managing to make megumi's life so much livelier even if he didnt have to.

I wouldnt make them talk about all their feeling and blablabla, (not yet at least), but i would have megumi accept the information he got, surprised but okay with the knowledge that gojo too can be touched, be hit and get hurt (even though since he was young it always slipped his mind with ease. his benefactor was arrogant but he really did seem like "the strongest"), because that just makes him seem more real. (sure, he survived the unsurvivable; but he got hit first, he started somewhere just as everyone does.) He doesnt fully like it ofc, because it was always easier to believe that someone he cared about was invincible [protective megumi core] BUT it doesnt change the fact that gojo is still the pillar of strength he claims to be and that megumi has the luxury of caring for someone who can fend for himself in situations where most couldn't.

He takes what he learned as is, even if he doesnt know every detail, deciding that it doesnt change anything.

Another time, when theyre alone, Megumi takes the initiative to reply to gojo's typical shenanegans and ruffling of hair by giving him a stiff but very warm hug thats gladly returned with just as much love (and some more annoying hair ruffling)-- because thats all that really matters.

Would Naomi still be a good person? If her and Satoru were still together and he went ahead and married her? Would she change? Because I would be surprised if she was! Would she treat Yui different if Yui started to resemble y/n? I know Yui is a blanking copy of Satoru appearance wise in term of hair colour and eyes etc I mean like bone structure in the face, body type and maybe even in her behaviour and personal taste.

To the point that people could that Naomi is clearly not her mother. Would she treat her differently once she got own baby? Would she start to hate her? Would she try to get rid of her? i think she is a sorcerer! not like special grade, id put her at around nanami's level; that is to say, having achieved black flash but not Hugely powerful (have i thought abt her ability? no i do not have the brain power for that sorry kajhbdf). now in the au she n gojo r childhood friends—i don't rlly wanna apply that here, bc his childhood in canon is implied to be v heavily influenced by his status & his clan and i imagine her to have come from a non-sorcerer family (or perhaps one only vaguely involved with the society, like maybe one of her parents was one of those people who could see curses but not a sorcerer??? idk, trying to apply the low-ranking-noble thing here) but either way not someone who he would've known since an early age. however since they're the same age theyd be in the same grade in hs! so i like the idea of her going to the kyoto school, while hes at the tokyo one, and they meet at the goodwill event thing they do every year where he.....

Damn its either super short or long no inbetween huh? Sorry if this isn’t exactly what you wanted! Some of the characters are little ooc (when are they not when i write them-).This turned out much much longer than it needed to be

You and Yuji have known each other since kindergarten

He’s such a sweet kid its always really fun to hang out with him

You guys play lots of video games together and are basically inseparable

Constantly reading manga or watching anime its great

Your parents disapproved of you hanging out with a dude all the time but you could care less

Why should you only be friends with your own gender? Thats so stupid

You always wondered about why yuji had such great strength and speed but he says he was just born that way

Hes just built different

Around middle school his grandpa’s health had dropped and was moved to the hospital

You did your best to make sure yuji stayed in good spirits and often visited the older itadori with him

He’s not the best at wording things but hes always there for emotional support

Maybe it was around 7th grade you noticed something was different around yuji

With the help of your parents you rent a room in a hotel and head there

You were super nervous and excited

Its your first time visiting a huge city like tokyo and its gonna be the first time you see yuji in months

Itadori was super excited that you were in tokyo

So excited that he got lost trying to head to the hotel you were staying at

After an extra hour you guys finally meet

He walks through the hotel lobby doors and gives a smile and a wave

After just holding each other for a while he decides to show you around

The sun was setting and you guys were currently sitting at a park munchkin on some crepes when you turn to him

“Mm its a bit sudden and he’s out on a mis-er meeting right now so maybe tomorrow?” he says

You frown, you can tell he’s lying but he wouldn’t do it without a reason

“Fine. But Yuji. Just know that if you ever feel unsafe or want to come back your more than welcome too. There will always be a spot for you at my home” you say hugging him

You both kinda forgot you were holding crepes and when you pulled away from each other laughed as the ice cream and sauce was smeared all over your shirts/jackets

He walks you back to the hotel and says goodnight with a kiss

The next two days went by in a flash

Just spending time with itadori, even if it was just sitting in silence has been the most fun youve had in months

He had showed you many places and has boughten many small trinkets for you to remember

Your phone has grown about 300 photos just from the past couple days with him

It was about midday of your final day in tokyo and so you both wanted to make the best of it

You both where sitting inside a cafe exchanging stories and just chatting when suddenly two people walked in the cafe

One was very tall and had spiked up white hair and was wearing a blindfold, and the other had spiky/messy black hair

You didn’t think much of it at first but did question the blindfold

“So why does he call you Gojo-sensei instead of uncle…Satoru?” “Well if im his moms cousin that would make me his cousin once removed wouldn’t it? And he calls me sensei since im a teacher at a school he goes to”

“And what about you?” you ask the other boy

“A classmate.” he says in a very short and uninterested tone

“Welp lets go” Gojo says dragging yuji but he quickly resists

“Wait wait! Sensei can i please stay? Today is her last day here and i don’t know when i will be able to see her again”

The teacher and student stares at each other for a long time

You have literally no clue what the blindfolded man could but thinking its so hard to read him

Then again you just met him so

Gojo sighs and lets go of yuji

“Just this once, and only because im the greatest sensei you’ve ever had. Lets go megumi. See ya miss girlfriend” gojo says walking away with a wave

as for the minazuki technique, Y/N was stabbed by her grandma near her heart (hence why she had those marks) and was even slashed at the back by her spinal column (she had fatal injuries but just chose to heal the internal ones rather than the physical scars because she kept them as a reminder so yeah, she can technically heal those types of heavy injuries but she just chose not to do that to herself)

shes always been able to heal them since the beginning (basically she jsut chose not to), the reason why she chose to just have it heal physically is because she wants to be reminded of that night she killed granny l/n also she healed all those scars with her own cursed technique to prove to satoru shes fine (like how she literally tugged her sleeves down and all that, scars always mean something had happened and for her, a girl who grew up in a house where she wasnt supposed to be physically harmed, its odd. but satoru will ask about it soon so ehheeh)
