Wip Wednesday 🎄

I shared a small tidbit from this yesterday, but here's a little longer one this time 💕

Eddie was holding a bag of M&Ms in one hand while twisting garlands around the railings by the stairs with the other. They were putting up the Christmas decorations around the station during a lull and while Eddie was all for the Christmas spirit, the garlands didn't seem too keen on cooperating.

“Pass me one?” Buck walked up to him, both his arms tangled up in a big knot of Christmas lights and on the top of his head, pushing into his perfectly coiffed hair sat a frankly ridiculous hairband with a set of floppy white ears, decorated by big black blotches to resemble a dalmatian.

“What are you wearing?” Eddie frowned at the dog ear hanging down just beside his birthmark.

Buck looked up like he could see the top of his own head if he just tried hard enough. “Must’ve been left here from Halloween. Cute, right?”

"Sure."

Well, it was cute.

That still didn't explain why he felt the need to put it on, but Eddie had more important things to worry about, namely the damned garland that kept on slipping off of the railing and bunching up on the bottom.

“So, are you gonna give me one?” Buck tried again, eyeing the small bag of candy in Eddie’s hand.

“Ask nicely.” Eddie quipped, mainly just to be a little shit but as always, Buck was game.

He ducked his chin, jostling the dog ears on the top of his head and batted his eyelashes a little cartoonishly, then after an elongated whine of pretty please, he stuck his tongue out expectantly.

Eddie rolled his eyes and plopped a big green one onto Buck’s tongue. “Here.”

I can’t begin to explain how much the development of Kanda and Allen’s relationship means to me oh my god…Hoshino portrayed it so beautifully in this chapter; Allen opening up and telling his story for the first time and it’s for Kanda, Kanda patiently listening and the way he seems to direct himself to Allen in a much gentler way…and then both of them still having that silly side towards each other no matter how much they’ve grown…im sobbing oh my god…

I am heavily contemplating on buying myself a dvd player soon and buying all the DVDs for a ton of movies and tv shows I grew up watching cuz I miss the magic of dvds

#hear me out on this one okay. but the Barbie movies were magic on dvd back in the day #and I do wanna see if stores are still selling the old strawberry shortcake dvds before I go online for those #I wanna snort that nostalgia so bad #and of course I’ll need to get the dcau on dvd #like all of it cuz I’m so bored with the dccu since we don’t get as much new stuff #it’s always Batman or superman and love them but I’m kinda bored from always seeing a new bman or sups movie #Wonder Woman I wouldn’t mind a new actor for her but I know she’s not gonna be a muscle mommy which I’ll be sad about #give me a Wonder Woman that is built like rhea ripely god damnit #the flash is eh cuz I found out this whole time I’ve been watching the Wally west flash #but yeah Wally is who I want and then there’s the green lantern like dude is so cool iams all we have is the 1 from 2011 I think #sure I could watch some of the tv series they have but I have too many shows on my watch list it’s overwhelming at times so I skip over lots #tho I will have to pray like crazy cuz some of the things I know I want are probably gonna be expensive as fuck even as second hand #saw a class of the titans season 1 dvd going for $81 cad 💀💀💀#the world is not kind to those who don’t love the digital age #I prefers my dvds cuz I own it and no one can take it away from me unless they physically steal it #omg I’m turning into my grandma cuz she still had the vhs player with some tapes too #just wish she never donated the tapes for swan princess 1-3 and Anastasia and ferngully and basically all my faves that she owned #like Ngl a part of me wants to hit up value village just to see if maybe they’re still there or if I’ll find other copies of the same things #cuz a perk about cities with older people is that you get so much older tech and other items it’s insane

The funny thing about biding fanfic is that you discover how many novel length great fics you read but barely realize because it's easy to keep up with the updates or you're used with word count.

#50k words is basically a 100 pages book #some of my fave are 200k or more #and I'm just doing the finished ones #gonna have so many new books/fics u.u

originality is dead.

lets start by saying, i don't really do rants. i keep my opinions to myself and that's that. but this one? i can't keep in anymore. what happened to originality? what happened to creativity? ive seen so many amazing writers on this app yet, so little work's that stand out. its always the same repetition of the same tropes, same idea, being done over and over and overrrr again. ive seen 5 whole ass fics for ex boyfriends father! x reader THIS MONTH ALONE. now, there's nothing wrong with liking a trope and wanting to write that a few times but goddamn. its tiring. and thats what i been seeing these past few months—the same idea being repeated with slight alterations and, i just wanna know...why? are we afraid of venturing out? are we afraid of coming up with someone new? or are we just unable to come up with something no one has done before?

this isnt a post bashing fellow writers. you write whatever you please. its just dissapointing seeing shein-esque content when you literally got the potential to write and come up with something incredible, and then its something we've seen done a dozen times over. with nothing new added to it. its sad being content on ficblr slowly turn into fast fashion. and then you've got plagiarizers, who can't even write shit out the top of their head and have to literally steal from someone else. i just wanna know, when did we stop trying to be creative and original?
