a stupid pet peeve about my housemate that makes me irrationally furious is that she always uses these cute little delicate ceramic dishes as spoon rests when she's cooking.

because the thing is, she's a really messy cook. like idk how she manages it, but if she cooks a single fried egg on one burner, there will be a 1 ft blast radius of grease splatters & spices & egg bits around that burner that she never seems to notice & therefore doesn't wipe up. heaven forbid if she cooks a larger meal that uses multiple burners.

so when she uses her stupid adorable spoon rests to keep her utensils from dirtying surfaces, the effect in practice is that there will be a thick layer of caked on cooking detritus covering the entire vicinity, with a perfectly clean 2 inch circle underneath the spoon rest.

and lord help me, the sight of that single tiny dish on the stove top, having utterly failed in its duty except to highlight how greasy the rest of the kitchen is—

I might start cleaning out mutuals who just don't really interact with me and I don't see interactions with? It's just... weird having some people on my dash that I don't interact with or have ideas for. Most people I assume followed me for a character and would reach out or send smthn for a character and then when that don't happen I kinda sit here like "???" esp when we don't share any common ground with our muses.

So uhhh I guess if you're interested in still hanging around/writing just let me know somehow otherwise it's my discretion for cleaning my dash out.

Being Alone is great because i can play video games until my bones start to petrify inside my body and when i DO finally stand up and move around i don't have to be quiet and i can eat a snack at 1 a.m. without being asked intrusive questions like "what are you doing up so late" and "why are you eating"

Always funny to me when my coworkers notice how much of a germaphobe I am when they see me wipe down my cart in the morning. I dont just wipe the handle, I wipe the top of the sides and the top part of the baby seat, places where people grab other than the handle. Then I use hand sanitizer bc by that point I've touched: the cart, the scanner locker screen and locker, my scanner (also wipe that shit down, yuck), my lock, and the spray bottle. So yucky places.

I mean hey maybe I'm not giving my immune system that boost of exposure, but I'm also not giving it covid, norovirus, or influenza from touching the cart and scanner so 🤷‍♀️
