Hi! I play @one-coming-is-enough on the Tumblr for fun! :)

I am an overeducated, underemployed hippie in my upper 30s. Have yet to be executed for any of my rants. People usually blink slowly a few times and ask me if I'm watching the game instead. And they usually mean the Lions, around here. (Who are largely Christian by now. No tearing apart infidels at the ol' Silverdome.)

Although I joke fondly that my mother is an unstoppable cyborg who got programmed by Ms. Frizzle, she is not the Incorruptible Virgin. My Conception was not preceded by the Angel Gabriel, but by three fuzzy navels the night before Thanksgiving in 1985. (My father was involved, yes. Like many Jewish fathers, he occasionally likes to liken himself to God or one of his prophets. It's just a thing that happens when you're taught to think of Avram as your cranky great-grandfather who's the reason your Uncle Isaac doesn't talk at meals ever.)

I can't walk on water (dead man's float I do okay). I can't turn water into wine, and I've tried really hard. I can't multiply sandwiches just by thinking about it, but I only try it with pizza or tacos tbh. Sometimes brownies. Can't raise the dead or I would have way more cats than I do now. I would NEVER have a cat die on me. I would be Queen of Immortal Cats, Ruler of Ulthar.

I started playing Jesus because I have tried to understand Christianity from the outside for a long time. I have Christian relatives because my family likes to intermarry, although I wasn't raised in the faith (my Jewish Dad got into the Santa spirit perhaps more than my largely Catholic relatives, who reminded me that Saint Nicholas gave to the poor, confirmed for me that Santa was a really just a kids' story with a deeper meaning, and told me I was smart for having compared the sooty boot prints).

And there's always been these odd conceptual leaps in the Story of Jesus that didn't make sense to me, like someone had taken out some kind of central character or conceit that made the whole thing make sense and replaced it with this circular idea about its relationship to Judaism, which I understood as a very specific history of a very specific people in a very specific set of times and places rather than something that could be applied to the whole world easily. Sure, we had some pretty good values in there by the time I got around to being enrolled in a Reform Temple (partially so I could network with my fellow tiny Jews in the 90s, which I didn't do much of on my own because undiagnosed autism), but that had come over centuries of insight, debate, and social and philosophical change, not all from the Torah itself.

I'm starting to think that Jesus was originally supposed to be the concept of phonic language itself, personified as the Unkillable Son of Saturn the God of Time and Decay. But this is a really weird theory.

And of course I would think that. I'm a writer. A poet, and I don't like to bring that term out casually because it makes me sound fucking insufferable, but I write poetry and I'm good at it when I do. And something that's really important in poetry is the space between words. Speaking them slowly or quickly, with a pause or no pause, this is stuff slam poets are coached on. I picked up a lot from Ronnie Apter in her Modernist Poetry class, even though I never did real slam ("real" slam is ranked, slam style is just the style, I can do slam style but I think competitive poetry is... Not My Thing). But one of the most challenging gulfs between a "page poet" and a "performance poet" is the way they supposedly enjamb their words--a "page poet" is supposed to arrange things so it looks pretty, a slam poet is supposed to arrange things so the spaces represent things about tone and delivery.

Who am I

If you're like me you visit other people's blogs to see if you want to follow them. I've written this handy post to show you about who I am as a Tumblr user.

I got back on Tumblr because of Good Omens and I've been hyperfixating. The best Good Omens metas I've reblogged use the tag "metas that make sense".

I originally got on Tumblr because of my favorite band Depeche Mode and I RP shipped Martin Gore and Dave Gahan (Gahore). Then came back to Tumblr years later because of Sherlock, JohnLock and FreeBatch. Yes, I ship Michael Sheen/David Tennant (Shennant). I am an RP shipper and think that's totally okay because I don't shove my ships in the actor's/ musician's faces. I keep my RPF activities to Tumblr, AO3, and an anonymous blog. I don't see any harm in that. I don't care if you think it's gross. Let me be.

Speaking of that anonymous blog, here's a link. If you are a Good Omens shipper I highly recommend this post. If you are a JohnLock shipper or one of the few Gahore shippers out there I highly recommend this post. I recommend either one if you tend to obsess over ships. I mostly use it as an outlet to work out my mental health issues.

Loki might be a new obsession but I do intend to keep my blog primarily about Good Omens. Loki, Sherlock and Depeche Mode posts might occasionally appear and well as other random posts once in a while.

I've written a little Depeche Mode fanfic here on AO3. I'm strongly considering writing a Shennant fic. I haven't written any fic since 2010.

A few other things about me personally: I'm a tea snob. American. Liberal. 49 years old. I guess I call myself a goth - love new wave/dark wave, goth and industrial music. I wear a lot of black. I used to go to a lot of concerts but that's tapered off lately because I'm taking care of my elderly mother long distance and it's a lot for me emotionally. Ships are my emotional escape. I'm she/her, bisexual but not currently dating anyone. Obviously, I love slash (NOT femslash). I'm currently reading Good Omens/Shennant fics exclusively.

My blog name MartinsHarmony originally was homage to the song Wrong by Depeche Mode that features Martin Gore's harmony alongside Dave's singing (specifically the 5th "too long" in the song). It's the reason I got on Tumblr in the first place. That harmony is pure sex and kicked off my love of gay and RP shipping and fanfic (well that's not entirely true but TLDR it's close enough). However Martin Freeman is also a Martin, and Michael Sheen sometimes gets called Martin lol so there's that.

Okay, I've decided I need to make some new icons. That always helps me get out of a tumblr rp wriitng funk because then I'm like :)))) Time to show off my hard work :)))))))))))))))) Trying to decide if I want to ruin my Pinterest dash and make a Buffy pin board for icons. Idek....I'm pretty content with it being currently mostly GOmens fanart and David Tennent thirst. I'm a simple creature. Maybe I'll make a second account for Buffy pins. I'm honestly just so scared of the inevitable bad take machine.

(As you all prolly know, Pinterest became thievery central when they changed something about it ages ago. I can't remember anymore, only that it was suddenly mostly imbedded links. Anyway, even before that, it was 50% meme and fandom meta screen shots from tumblr, and that hadn't changed. Lord though, fandom makes me feel so old. It's like, if I didn't think I'd end up cringing out of my skin, I'd pop onto my og dreamwidth account. Not for the DW content, no no no, it's gets so much worse. When I switched over from LJ, I imported my blog there too, so there's also ancient stuff that makes me both happy and kinda wanna vomit. You know, it's nice to see that kinda thing be preserved but also oh god, oh no. Character Design Thoughts for Shen Yuan & Airplane Shooting Towards the Sky in ‘The Untold Tale’

Hello, @averydrearydiana! Loved reading through your tags! I’m excited that you’re excited! Since I’m also seeing comments on AO3 speculating about how our transmigrators are going to appear as in The Untold Tale, I might as well give my current thoughts and have this archived on tumblr for future reference.

A fun fact about TUT is that a lot of the imagery in the story is inspired by Chinese PVs and popular C-dramas and literature. Since TUT is conceived as a lovestory to SVSSS, one element that I’d wanted to incorporate is playful attempts at satirical genre deconstruction. With that comes with me playfully poking fun at some clichés or things I’ve noticed in Chinese works.

Shen Yuan’s Celestial Design

Before I talk about his mortal appearance, I have to give a lil context about his celestial design in the story. We already know what he looks like as the celestial fortuneteller in TUT’s cover art that I’ve already posted on tumblr. As everyone knows, I was heavily inspired by this Chinese PV:

Among the things I’ve noticed are the fictional characters with white hair. We have a whole subculture of fans liking male character designs with white hair in anime and animation. Taking that a step further, they’ve even shown up in C-dramas, i.e. Teng She from Love and Redemption (technically more blond than platinum white, but shhhhh, just let me have this), Dong Hua Dijun from Eternal Love of Dream aka Three Lives Three Worlds, Ten Miles of Peach Blossoms (rest assured, I’m aware of the source material’s controversy, but let’s not get into that here), etc. One of the tags for TUT is Opposites Attract. Luo Binghe’s color coordination is aligned with black and red mostly. Now, visually speaking, what’s the opposite of that?

Fun fact, besides black vs white, green (SY) is the complementary color of red (LBG) on the color wheel. Now taking everything I’ve said, to take it even one step further, my thought process at the time was, “why not go the extra mile then and just have SY be albino? Within context of the Heavenly Realm, that character design makes sense.” TUT is me subtly riffing off what I can (for the good ol’ meta humor), but making the content come across as a legitimate story experience. As Protagonist A and Protagonist B, LBG and SY have to look visually striking together. With all that said, let’s talk about....

Shen Yuan (Mortal)

I’ll keep some elements of his albinism from his celestial form (light sensitivity and pale skin mostly), but SY’s mortal form is essentially SY pre-transmigration but within context of the xianxia genre.

For his appearance, let’s just keep this Author’s Note^ and TUT’s summary in the back of our brains. This is the fanvid I was originally inspired by for SY’s mortal appearance:

For what he wears, I’m currently feeling very heavily inspired by this PV:

His mortal appearance wouldn’t be considered as “strange” or “otherworldly” compared to the “ethereal fairy-like beauty” SY retains in the Heavenly Realm, but as a side-effect of the 【PROTAGONIST’S HALO】 and his +20 CHARISMA stat, he would still be considered attractive to people even when he takes on a mortal appearance. (Mainly, I like the idea of Bing gē taking large shots of vinegar seeing SY turning heads no matter which appearance SY takes on, and Luo Binghe glaring at these “insects” for even “daring to lay their unworthy eyes on his fated person.” The thought of it just makes me laugh.)

What I mean by how SY’s mortal form being very much based on how SY appeared pre-transmigration but in the xianxia genre context, I mean he’ll have his dark hair (but longer), a “scholarly air” (as a nod to his novelist background), dark eyes, and even his glasses technically (the divine monocle mentioned in ch3, which is also a subtle nod to Sha Po Lang and a riff on men wearing monocles in other Chinese works andit’salsoforeshadowingbutshhhh).

Shen Yuan originally was an author in his forties pre-transmigration, so I like the idea him having a mature air about him in the Cultivation World as well. So for both our Protagonist B’s celestial and mortal appearances, the idea is that you can look at him and immediately recognize him as a protagonist of the danmei setting. My only two prerequisites are that his appearance screams “hello, I’m Protagonist B” and that he appears in “scholarly” attire.

Airplane Shooting Towards the Sky (Mortal)

Keeping in mind the original tumblr post where I wrote my thoughts on who I’m transmigrating him as, currently I’m thinking it’s a combination of these two PVs for his mortal form:

As a nod to him being a successful novelist, I wanted him to also appear scholarly. A scholarly crown prince, if you will. For his attire, imagine all the C-drama clothing you’ve seen actors wear in period dramas, and you already have a good idea already of the direction I’m heading down.

As the prince of the cannon fodder emperor, I very much like the idea of Airplane perhaps having a baby face and brown hair (as a small nod to fanon!SQH from SVSSS) but with a great body (a huge source of inspiration are clothing worn by Prince Yu and Prince Jing of the three princes from the C-drama Nirvana in Fire). Since Airplane will also be able to select his Character Creation stats like Shen Yuan had, one thing I’m fairly certain is that he will max out his CONSTITUTION—because “game logic” and not wanting to die. (For those who don’t know, the CON stat in tabletop RPs essentially indicates a person’s overall health, wellbeing, and vigor checks...so him maxing it out is equivalent to him being as invulnerable as a cockroach. A high CON means overall healthiness, which means your character probably is full of energy and vitality, can heal rapidly, and will rarely get sick—if ever. Low CON usually means a higher susceptibility to sickness and disease, wounds that fester and linger, and a general fatigue would haunt you, etc.) Like how SY zeroed in on his CHA, Airplane would have prioritized +20 CON (+5 modifier), especially knowing the fate that’d await him as a prince and the vicious environment that is expected for palace intrigue plots (the harem is a big factor, with concubines and consorts and even the empress sabotaging each other—just to win the favor of one man). Against poison or whatnot which is a cliché in palace intrigue plots, rather than relying on luck, you typically stand a better chance of passing the CON check if you have a high modifier aiding your checks. He’s basically become impervious to illnesses, most poisons (probably being able to spring back quickly), and is considered the healthiest prince in all the mortal imperial line. <- This could be taken both seriously and humorously simultaneously.

Airplane Shooting Towards the Sky (Deity/ Celestial)

For Xiàng Tiān Dà Fēijī’s “actual divine body” that is currently asleep and won’t be awakened until Airplane completes his mortal trial to “regain his cultivation powers,” the face should obviously be similar but, as Xiàng Tiān Dà Fēijī, he would appear regal and dignified as a god of this world:

Imagine something along the lines of mortal Airplane as the man on the right, celestial Shen Yuan in the center, and deity/ celestial Airplane as the man on the left. I envision a respectable appearance that would knock the air out of Mobei jūn and make him recognize Airplane despite any visual dissimilarities, and in a way we have the Four Beauties of China: Luo Binghe, Shen Yuan, Mobei jūn, and Xiàng Tiān Dà Fēijī.

I will say I currently have an idea of making Airplane have “golden” eyes in both his celestial and mortal forms. (Spoiler alert: in my notes, I’d written down to give Airplane yellow eyes as an Easter egg to Yanxi Palace, I believe, where there was an episode where someone of the imperial harem schemed against the empress and almost had the newborn baby killed because that and the yellow skin was an inauspicious omen. We later find out through a timely intervention that the true reason was due to jaundice—because of the diet/ pregnancy cravings she ate for a period of time which resulted in her son’s symptoms. With Airplane’s high CON and another trope I’m bringing in which’ll have to do with the Medicine King’s Valley/ Valley of the Medicine King, his yellow eyes are the only side effect that lingered from that traumatic event which would have killed him had they gotten away with their scheme. A lot of palace dramas have to do with the vicious harem plots, so this would potentially be one such example.) The reason being that this is the identifying marker for MBJ to clue in that they’re the same man he will have loved. And I think that has romantic potential.

Misc.

Now addressing the other tags, yes, essentially speaking, Mobei jūn might just very well experience his very own Big Damn Reunion trope that Bing mèi had suffered from SVSSS. Poor MBJ. He’s in a tumultuous ride of his own with him considering Airplane as his own fated person, hahaha. But for the Moshang dynamic, I want him—a demon—to find himself taken with Airplane in his mortal guise—and subsequently his true celestial appearance once he finds out. I very much also want SY to jokingly snark to his fellow transmigrator-and-writing-colleague about him getting in a relationship with his own “creation” (MBJ). And Airplane would jokingly snark back about SY “ruining his ‘first son’ as well” (LBG). If you can read between the lines of that, then kudos. I’m glad to hear you’re looking forward to the palace intrigue.

I’m especially very happy to hear you’re looking forward to the descriptions! I personally love worldbuilding in the stories I consume I’m an interior designer and realtor irl, so I’m glad my love of house details and landscape, etc shows in TUT. For the pseudohistorical vibe, in the Mortal Realm, I will be referencing the Forbidden City of our Chinese history and a couple popular period C-dramas. Take the settings of period C-dramas like Ruyi’s Royal Love in the Palace, Yanxi Palace, and Nirvana in Fire as examples for what will be awaiting us when we finally meet Airplane in his mortal body. In the Heavenly Realm, the descriptions will be heavily referencing shows that contain aesthetics such as those of Ashes of Love, Love and Redemption, and Eternal Dream.

Take this with a grain of salt just in case I change my mind later on, but in the chapter when we meet Airplane for the first time, I probably won’t say which character he is in the first scene. I’ll give plenty of hints in the first scene so that you all can make your guesses before the big reveal, but I’m fairly confident you all or most of you will be able to pinpoint who he is among the cannon fodders. We’ll meet the emperor, who is discussing with his sons about the matter regarding the approaching calamity that is Luo Binghe. Then when we transition into the second scene, we’ll know exactly which “royal prince OC” it is that our beloved Airplane has transmigrated into, hahaha.

(*Keep in mind, for everything written above, some details are subject to change. Nothing is official until it appears in the story, or I’ve actually drawn my ideas out and posted online to both my tumblr and twitter. These are just my current thoughts.)

A goal of mine for TUT is to make the story widely accessible, meaning it doesn’t matter if the reader is new to the SVSSS fandom or aren’t familiar with the Easter egg references or meta jokes or subtext or even the Chinese culture, or even if English is not their first language. Having knowledge beforehand might help someone notice more hidden details in TUT, yes, but it is a humble wish of this writer for her esteemed readers to be able to dive into the story and get the enjoyable feeling like they’re reading a genuine danmei novel. It really makes me smile whenever I hear feedback that I am able to emulate that experience.

SEPHIROTH                          — relationship & plotter call.

hello lovely isolians! it’s been actually ages since i made my first one, or my second one, so i’m coming back with new vigour & hopefully some new ideas to tempt you all into friendship ( or...enemy...ship) with sephiroth!

so liking this post means that you are 100% down with interacting with me in some fashion! ways this might happen may be... → me sending you im’s / tumblr asks to plot or chat! i can be quite a talkative person as a forewarning, as i love discussing rp things as well as getting to know my rp partner!  → if we are already friends on discord or twitter, i might message you that way to ask you about plots or ideas or to run things by you. → exchanging ask memes / meme day things that might be a bit more personal than a general sentence meme. → possible random starters or musings dedicated to your muse, sometimes i get sudden inspiration for these things! i will always check first that you’re okay with taking on a new thread, but yes this is for just... if i get inspired & want to put something up for you! → general tomfoolery and shenanigans in character ( and ooc if you like )

FRIENDS.

↪ honestly friendships aren’t typically on the agenda for him. he is arrogant beyond belief and considers everyone to be weaker than him or to some degree unworthy of his time or energy. he really does not have any interest emotionally in anyone besides himself, instead he is far more likely to use and discard people when they are no longer needed. HOWEVER, in 2020 sephiroth underwent quite a big character development stage, essentially his long-term goal came to a head and it backfired pretty back when he got all his powers back, so while he’s super strong again now, he’s also semi-content (i guess) with living in isola for a while, if only so he can figure out how the multiverse works (meta, i know). he talks to people now (wow!) and engages in mostly philosophical conversations, about... life. death. etc.

↪  i am down to... vague villain-alliance type deals with fellow power players here. he wont consider your muse a friend, but rather a pawn or even a means to an end, that end being his goal of generally using this island for his means, apologies. preferably the intellectual, over-powered, edgy types will probably gravitate towards him more, but i’m willing to throw anything at the wall to see what sticks. he’s not a nice guy, by any means, but it would be interesting to see how he has to play the game here to his advantage until he regains powers. i especially would like to interact with other villains who are kind of just chilling, maybe they’re veterans in spirale also and they can share a glass of wine over watching all the citizens running around like ants. we could also do a murder if you are into that. 

↪ there are some cases where he might engage in conversation with non-villain types and these would likely be far more dialogue-heavy threads including metaphorical topics or debates. the conversations of life, death, mortality, good vs evil, frailty of existence, legacy, power and corruption, calamities, birthright and betrayal are just some of the topics possible to arise in discussion. that being said, whilst these topics would be of interest to him, the character themselves must meet his standard of what he considers worthy of his time eg. those just willing to argue with him will bore him whereas someone curious to his nature might be treated to an actual conversation. over time this has opened up into most people being capable of talking to him. he has less patience for over-eager plucky types, but anyone with a respectable manner who likes talking a lot will probably find an interesting conversation partner in this... ONLY SLIGHTLY CHILLED sephiroth. he’s not totally chill, he’s just a lil chill.

↪ warriors, outcasts, villains, intellectuals, fellow puppet-master type villains especially, those he ‘befriended’ in past events, perhaps even neighbours to his castle would all be likely connections. friends of those he has worked alongside or met, or those wishing to seek great power and know of his existence might seek him out also, but yes... ““““friends”“““ is a very difficult term for him. he’s getting better.

→ his most recent developments see him as a far more casual version of his canon self, over a year of living as close to a “domestic life” as possible have meant that whilst he is aloof and cold, he is also far more likely to be out and about, buying wine at some creepy gas station at 4:30am for example. he chats when he’s in the mood and might even stick around to cause some chaos for the sake of boredom eating him alive. so whilst he is still very much a dangerous inhabitant here in spirale, sephiroth is currently Domesticated somewhat. 

ENEMIES.

↪ heroes of all shapes and sizes might feel threatened by the ominous presence of a monster who seems inclined to side with chaos as opposed to peace. he’s not outright starting fires here but he is present in the more morbid moments of isolian discourse, an omen of death lingering on the sideline. he has his plans and he may just mock you with them, but in general since he does and WILL cut down npcs ( or players ) alike, he makes for the perfect villain. BE WARY he has all of his powers unlocked and knows the island well. fighting him would not guarantee your victory, especially if you are a freshly applied character.

in feb 2020 he almost brought chaos to spirale too so i’m sure anyone holding a grudge or wary of a potential threat like that would be very aggro towards him.

↪ he has traumas. plenty of them. some of them originate from labs and white coats, meaning he might just view you as an enemy if you’re a scientist or someone who dabbles in human experimentation. his reasons are his own, but let’s just say that if you consider him a good candidate for poking and prodding with scientific equipment, you may just lose an arm.

↪ i LOVE fight threads especially really gritty, bloody types. i would prefer to plot these out so we know what’s going on beforehand, but feel free to develop these with me honestly i love a good old classic villain hero showdown. he’s less likely to get into these without a good reason but if we do one, the winner is randomly determined via generator to make it fair if your character is also uncapped!

→ police/law enforcers/general crime stoppers might remember him for causing a bit of trouble in the past! insert how bad me be gif. try and ??? get him to apologise i guess. arresting sephiroth sounds like the plot of a funny movie. 

LOVERS.

↪ this man has a bf now, can you believe it? 2021...isola gay rights. 

MISC.

↪ pawns and such would be a fun dynamic later. his general presence is pretty terrifying, so it wouldn’t be a stretch if you have an appropriate muse for them to be fearful enough to carry out some little tasks for him. this might be more common later on, but i’m down to discussion for it currently!

↪ places you may find him can include:                 ↪ near his residence ( personal housing; castle in the mistwood  )                 ↪ fibonacci ward ( levels 3 and 4 especially due to the museums and things. but also the lowest levels, he tends to wander around there as if searching for something... feel free to try and figure out what it is )                 ↪ golden ward ( the university if only to borrow books from the library, he can read there for days at a time without sleep or food. he reads all kinds of things, both fiction and non fiction. )                 ↪ archimedes ward ( pretty much everywhere in this ward, it’s my favourite. he enjoys music and art sometimes. hit me with that biblical shit. )                ↪ the mistwood ( 100% down to be that cryptic creature that leads you from your path to your likely doom )                ↪ the city of yesteryear ( typically the underground areas, just investigating really. any strange occurrences would likely draw him there as would any presence of a strong power. )                ↪ atop skyscrapers, looming at the ‘edge’ of the world we can currently explore, typically more active at night, perhaps at the scene of a murder / attack ( plotted ), if he’s feeling extra ballsy he might be found in a bar but its very rare. very VERY rare, wandering broken buildings, invading scientific facilities or buildings. he’s not going to be found in busy, socially strained areas basically.

Share a sentence or paragraph from your writing that you’re really proud of (explain why, if you like): Oof, this tough. Both because I’m proud of most of writing these days, but also because I can never remember any pieces off the top of my head XD 

... Hmm... from recently, a lot of what I’m proud of is actually from describing fics to other people, and I don’t want to spoil anything...

Um... well I’m always proud of anytime I can get someone to get emotional... 

Anytime I write a good like... snap kind of scene. Where a character just sort of snaps and does something uncharacteristic? But again I can’t think of specifics... I write a lot and sometimes it’s hard to remember everything I’ve written XD

Do you share your writing online? (Drop a link!) Do you have projects you’ve kept just for yourself? I share most of it right here on my Tumblr! :D It’s mostly YouTuber Character fics, I kind of almost exclusively wrote those for a long time. I’ve got some Good Omens as well, and some original works! Short stories, OC pieces, even OC crossovers XD And of course, the MML content I’ve been making recently.

If I tried to link everything it would take... hours. The last time I counted up the amount of fics I have posted on here, it was somewhere over 200, many of them near-to-over a thousand words. Plus I have an RP blog where I do RPs for my Markiplier Characters Vampire AU, which is thousands of posts and words...

I do have a tagging system! All my fanfic can be found under ‘My attempts at fanfic’ and all my original works can just be found under ‘writing’ or ‘my writing’!

I do have projects I keep to myself, whenever I try to write an actual novel, but I focus a lot more on fanfic, and most of that goes public pretty faster. Faster than it should, probably XD

Tell us the meta about your writing that you really want to ramble to people about (symbolism you’ve included, character or relationship development that you love, hidden references, callbacks or clues for future scenes?) This is a mini-meta, but there’s actually a line I wanted to work into Midnight Chat About The Past (That No Longer Exists) that I sadly just couldn’t fit it in.

It’s a cute line, but I couldn’t get it to come up naturally. Ah well.

What else, what else... ah if I went back and looked up specific pieces I’m sure I could tell you about them, but right now I’m just blanking, lol.

Hmm... well, in the Sia Character RP over on my sideblog, there’s a lot of foreshadowing of stuff going on, but IDK if that counts since it’s a collaborative effort between me and my RP partner. Also it’s major spoilers to go into details XD

Um... well, I can certainly say I enjoy the relationship development, again, on my RP blog in the Sia AU, gotta love that Found Family trope! I have a couple of Dakavendish-ish (ship included but necessarily the main focus of the plot) fics I’m working on that have fun character dynamics and development.

Difficult since so many of the characters are not ""female""/""male"" (especially the one's I like so I go by their actors gender😁)

Dagon! 100%!! They're absolutely dashing and their teeth and hair and those eyes💙💙💙 (and Elizabeth Berrington is gorgeous - I've seen her on Father Brown and her hair 💕💕 gosh, I wanna run my fingers through it so bad)

Ligur!! Again, have you seen those eyes??? 💜💜 (also Ariyon Bakare is so handsome🌟)

Hmmmm....... I'd either be cliché and say the opening of Episode 3 (for obv reasons) or I'd choose Episode 6 because there one can finally see Dagon for a longer period of time🤔.... But on the other hand the "prepare the troops" speech is in Episode 5..... Nah, okay, I choose the opening of Episode 3!!!

Um.. 🤔🤔 I don't know. The Good Omens fandom is so full of so many different ships and so far I didn't stumble upon anything I didn't like (except probably anything containing Shadwell and Ted Asshole Dowling....)🤷🏻‍♂️

Basically people complain about lack of good fiction, but don’t actually bother looking for anything they haven’t heard someone else talk about. When people say “I wish there were a book where...”, really what they mean is they wish 200 fics for that book along with metas and moodboards would spring up fully formed, because chances are A Book Like That already exists and literally all they have to do is google it. But they don’t, because they don’t want the story that badly, they want something with a fandom.

People in fandoms also COMPLETELY fail to support original fiction, treating the concept of having “”””OCs”””” as cringey, and not bothering to read it whenever anyone shares their original works- despite the flaming hypocrisy evident in the fact that, you know, EVERY CHARACTER OUT THERE IS SOMEONE’S OC. JRR TOLKIEN HAD OCS, KAREN. HIROMU ARAKAWA HAS OCS. STAN LEE HAD 800 OCS. WHAT IS YOUR PROBLEM

The internet: Ugh, I wish there were more good stories to read. I haven’t had anything good to read since (insert trendy series here) ended. And I wish there were more diversity in media Someone: Hey, I’m writing a fantasy novel about a black autistic lesbian and a nonbinary amputee who- The internet: Wow, you have OCs? :/ I mean I guess that’s ok but like, I’m not really interested :/ The RP community is so cringe, I can’t believe anyone still has OCs :/// Amazon: Hey, here’s a TV adaptation of a 19-year-old book that’s fairly well known, featuring an ambiguous relationship that is never fully defined, written by two straight cis white men who are quite well known in the writing community The internet: OMG FINALLY SOMETHING GOOD!!! And I’m not saying this to shit on Good Omens at all, or be all “I knew about Good Omens before it was cool” or whatever. I could have picked any number of examples. My point is basically just, people in fandom communities tend to only care about things that are already published and well promoted, and don’t even just simply overlook less established works/authors, but actually actively put them down, when there’s really not any reason why one of them should be inherently better or worse than the other. Everyone wants (insert story element here), but nobody wants to give anything a chance unless it already has a fanbase, pretty much
