Been adding to this gay vampire themed battle vest on and off for about 2 years. I always intended to do a custom painting on the back but kept putting it off. Originally I was going to do a Lost Boys tribute but ended up doing an original piece instead. I painted these on canvas and then sealed it with Angelus leather paints finisher and stitched it onto the vest.
I want to get more pins and patches for the front but I'm so happy to have a fair amount of the back decorated now!
Meet Marlo Blythe! He my most recent ooak doll and probably one of my favorites so far! He features a removable vest made out of old pants, 3 hand embroidered band patches, and lots of jewelry!
Edit: He is SOLD!
He's actually still available in my shop as of now, so if you're interested message me! I'll edit this post when hes sold!
Say Hello to Hugo, Hugo was my sisters anatomy skeleton (but she is done with her schooling so now Hugo is free), normally Hugo resides at the window above our front door, greeting our neighbors and passers on the street but today I awoke from my (very evil) slumber and dressed him up in my (also manicaly evil) battle vest.
I have a question for the punks, goths, and metalheads out there: I love the look of crust/patch pants, and I would like to make a pair, but I’ve only seen them associated with punk, and I’m more of a metalhead and goth, I don’t really listen to punk. Could I make a pair with metal and goth bands? Or are patch pants specifically a punk thing?
Punk/goth fashion really went down hill when people decided it needs to look “good” and be ready-made so they *have* to buy it from fast-fashion companies because they “can never find alt stuff at thrift stores!”
That’s because you need to MAKE it alt. Cut up a t shirt and safety pin it back together. Get some chains from the hardware store and make them into a belt. Dye everything black. Sew patches onto jackets and vests and pants using dental floss.
