5: When do you feel closest to your deity?

When I’m reading and writing poetry, journaling, expressing love for people, and existing in nature!

3: Have you ever doubted your faith?

I’ve actually never doubted that God exists. But I’ve doubted that They loved me and I’ve doubted that I was existing/praying wrong because I was queer. Throughout elementary school and middle school, I assumed God hated me for who I was. There’s been so much doubt in my life, but God has always been with me.

Usually I do my full 5 step morning routine after the gym. But I also do all of my exercising at 5 am, prefer night showers, and don't exercise but maybe 2-3 days a week. So my full routine is plausible for me. Likely not for everyone else, though.

i used to do the same when i went to the gym everyday at 6 or 7am. ahhh good times

Botanical Asks: Baby's Breath, Dahlia, and Anemone

baby’s breath; what’s your hogwarts house?

Oh.. I’ll have to admit that although I read the first 3 books of the Harry Potter series, I never got into them enough to know which house I belong to. But recently, I caught my younger cousins speculating about which house I belong to and I believe they were leaning towards Hufflepuff or Ravenclaw.

dahlia; do you like crystals? 

I like the idea.  I have a few semi precious stone and a few years ago I used to use them in my meditation session.

However, now, I tread carefully with them as I believe in one God and believe I should only ask Him for healing and other things. But... If I do find out that there are reliable scientific studies in the effect of crystals in healing practices, I might change my mind.Having said that I respect those who believe in their effects and use them. And I find them beautiful.

Honestly, we don't even know WHEN she came out as trans to him. It could have been during the blackmail, it could have been much earlier. It's none of our fucking business anyways; HER BEING TRANS was none of our fucking business.

I mean yes, you’re correct and I agree 100%. My commentary was specifically in regards to the loads of people I’ve seen saying things like “well trans people should tell their partners early on so nobody wastes their time blah blah blah.”

What happened to her was wrong, and she would be well within her rights to ruin the life of the person that blackmailed her, the way they tried to ruin hers imo.

My comment was that if cis folks are really gonna get themselves riled up over trans folks not disclosing their past to their partners until they feel SAFE to do so, and feel like they wont be murdered for it, then those cis people should maybe throw out at the beginning of their relationship that they, themselves, are potentially unsafe people for trans folks to be with, you know? I’m all in favor of trans folks prioritizing their own safety and wellbeing over everything else, cause that shit’s gotta be scary.

Elemental Asks: Soil, Dew, Bird, and Volcano

Soil: Have you ever planted something?

Yes!! I planted wild flowers a few years back. And basil with my father.

We are lucky that our garden is ever populated by birds, squirrels and hedgehogs. One of those adorable culprits once dug out and hopefully ate echinacea roots I had planted and garlic I planted last year. But this year, they were good enough to only disturb one or two garlic pods I had planted. So, let’s hope the garlic pods that remained under the earth did their part. I can see shoots but it doesn’t necessarily mean they have multiplied.

Dew: What’s your favourite drink?

Water from an alpine torrent. Really, I’m not saying this for aesthetics. There’s nothing better than fresh cold water. Nothing.

Well except my morning coffee.

Bird: If you could fly, where would you fly to?

This question could inspire me to write a lot of poems. I’d first fly to people that I care about. :) But after that, I’d fly to see hidden valleys in the Himalayan range, or the Andes... High up where no human being dares to thread.

Volcano: What are you most afraid of?

GIANT SPIDERS!!!!!!

More seriously, I’m afraid of losing my connection to God.

I haven't read the books but my husband has, and from what he explained: The whole "sacrifice your fertility for beauty / power / initiation" thing is a major manipulation tactic of the brotherhood and all that; basically, alienate them from every element of family (including creating your own) so you're dependent on them and consider them your family. At least, that's what I got from his explanation based on how he explained it.

Oh, sure. And it’s a valid narrative choice so far as it goes.

But I am NOT SURPRISED that what we see incredibly specifically is women under the gun for it.

me too. it’s hard because i want to drive up there to be with him, but in times like these he just needs to be alone. totally opposite of my instincts but i’ll definitely respect his wishes.

I do actually agree with this. I said that atheism and religion are different, because religion requires or encourages certain practices (a.k.a in worship of the divine). I just don't think that faith should = religion, but rather faith can = what one's belief is about theism.

So I think one can convert to another system of beliefs around theism, and that doesn't mean that they are converting to another "religion." Because atheism/agnosticism are not religions, but they are a set of beliefs.

Have you gone into the office and spoken to them? It never hurts to speak to someone about staying! At the very least, it tells them you're interested in working for the company, which means they might think of you later when an opening your qualified for comes up. But  you'd actually be surprised how many times a company will make attempts to keep temp employees who enjoy being there, even if they're "unqualified".

@graceofsaints - I kiiinda doubt that, since the boss doesn’t really like me (which is not just me thinking that...it’s actually confirmed). But she does retire this year, and the woman who I’m replacing only speaks German, in a country with French as one of its official languages. There have been people asking about press reports and website articles in French. I speak French, and I might ask if I could potentially stay to do some translation work in the Communications field. They won’t have to pay me that much, since I’m not a certified translator.

Although I have heard exactly that argument used by the boss in order to not hire someone. Which is funny, because her own grammar is wonky at best, yet she still tries to correct official certified translators. Huh.

I wouldn't necessarily say I feel more feminine with long hair. But i definitely feel more beautiful, and it pushes me to move more gracefully for some reason :D

:D This is great. I feel the same way with short hair... But i think it’s something about how my hair behave when they are shorter.
