Not to GBF blog but I think I've got a decent-ish FA team for every M3 fight except for Colossus Ira! My Yggy Arbos team is pretty fragile and can't hold up as long as any of the others, and my Levi Mare team requires a bit of hand-holding to rev up but other than that they're all pretty self-sustaining!!
Colo Ira is trickier since I'm aiming to lower stacks, so a bit of manual play works better... but the payoff is consistent 4-chains!
For someone who slacked p hard between Anni and Summer, it feels nice to have the my big fights on FA, these days. And I feel like the M3 fights have given me the chance to use a lot of characters I hadn't before!! Particularly Orologia and Summer Vaseraga, who I sparked and wanted to justify!!
I'm also proud to say I've got a consistent Diaspora hosting team! I was worried I was just getting lucky, but I got more than a few Petrifies on my last host and still got to y100, so. It's probably good. I'm using Rising Force (and without any UM skills!) since my last Unsigned Kaneshige was in Water, and it feels good to have finagled something without the "optimal" solution.
I've still got a long way to go... technically speaking, my next goals should REALLY really be maxing my Arcanum summons and getting more evokers, but I hate farming Sandbox so. Uh. I think I'll aim for Mugen or Siegfried next, depending on how my M3 farm goes!
I still have a long way to go, and I'm also deciding if I wanna swap to Titan... but. Let's ride this interest and see where it takes me!!!!

Just realized that GBF still has my birthday messages open so I decided to check what Luo has to say and
Dunno if it's just because he's voiced by SatoTaku, but I got critically hit in the heart right here

I'm just gonna go ahead and say it despite my fear of getring backlash:
I am not a fan with how WHB handles the usage of Solomon's Tears.
(Rant post, feel free to skip over, rest under the cut. I just needed to get this out of my chest.)
Thank god they've made a statement about the availability of Tears, but in my opinion, their way of handling this is the equivalent of slapping a bandaid on a gaping wound - it fails to address the root of the issue that's making Tears such a necessary material in the first place, it being several aspects of the game design.
There have been several design choices that confuse me when it comes to WHB, which I would chalk up to WHB being PB's very first game that purely isn't otome. But these design choices often involve game balancing issues, which for me personally directly impacts my enjoyment of the game. And it is these design choices that immediately impact the need for Tears, and why the initial update changing the availability of these Tears sparked so much controversy.
But before that, I have some menial complaints that can be chalked up to me being spoiled by other games. First of all, the large amounts of filler stages, while normal for a gacha, still doesn't make it a fun experience to play through - especially when there are barely any changes to the stage layouts. The only reason why Plants vs Zombies were able to do this is because of the way their stages are set up:
Stages 1, 3, 6, and 8 introduce a new mechanic/zombie
Stages 2, 4, 7, and 9 are harder stages that test what you knew from the previous stage
Stage 5 is a minigame stage
Stage 10 is a conveyor belt boss stage
Every stage gives you a new plant, oftentimes one that is relevant to the new mechanic/zombie at play/about to be introduced (for example, Puff Shrooms upon ending 1-10, a 0 Sun plant with shorter range that helps in earlygame because the next world is nighttime, which means no Sun from the sky)
As for the other TD games in the market? Arknights has different maps for each story stage. So does Path to Nowhere, from what I recall. If there are filler stages, they're very few and far in between. It's why Granblue Fantasy changed their story chapters to no longer have a solo battle at each segment - it hinders the storytelling.
One of the most baffling things in my opinion is the fact that the game has the same upgrade requirements for all units regardless of rarity. This is such a weird design choice for me because in most games, lower rarities are cheaper when it comes to upgrade costs.
For comparison's sake, some screenshots I took for promoting S and A+ ranks.
Tumblr media
Belial, an S-rank Marksman, requires 22k Gold, 22k Books, 10 Tears, and 22 Fire Jellybeans.
Tumblr media
It's the same for the A+ Healer Morax, save for the elemental jelly beans which is changed to his element, Light. And this is the same amount needed for upgrading L characters as well.
This design choice isn't particularly good, in my opinion. It bottlenecks players and puts them in a mindset position of "upgrading anything apart from Ls and some choice S/A+ ranks is a resource sink". It makes people think that building anything except the strongest of units isn't worth it, which in turn renders the existence of lower rarity/weaker units moot, especially considering the scarcity of the Tears in the first place. Because why would you raise them if you're going to gain more of an advantage from building these high-rarity units? You're going to get a more immediate and significant power boost by upgrading Ls in the first place.
This is even more pronounced in WHB specifically because in most gachas, lower rarity units tend to require less to upgrade. Take a look at the E2 requirements of three Tactician Vanguards in Arknights, in which Elite upgrades are the closest approximation to promotion in WHB.
Tumblr media
Beanstalk is the lowest rarity of the archetype at 4*, and her E2 material requirements consist of two types of tier 3 materials (Coagulating Gel and Manganese Ore, both with blue borders), Vanguard Chip Packs, and LMD.
Tumblr media
Then you have the 5* Blacknight, whose material requirements now include a tier 4 material (Incandescent Alloy Block, with a pink border) in addition to a tier 3 material (Loxic Kohl), Vanguard Dualchips (crafted from Vanguard Chip Packs and Chip Catalysts, both of which are farmable regardless), and more LMD.
Tumblr media
And finally, the 6* Vigil, whose material requirements are now a tier 5 material (Crystalline Electronic Unit, with a yellow border) and a tier 4 material (Optimized Device), more Vanguard Dualchips (4 to Blacknight's 3), and even more LMD.
Yet in other games, I don't mind raising lower rarity units - for several reasons, depending on the game. In Granblue Fantasy (despite my complaints about how quickly the meta evolves and how lim-centric it is), SR units serve as the stopgap for party comps until you can fill out your roster with SSR characters, and some of these SR characters still see use like Lyria. In other games like Fire Emblem Heroes, Memento Mori, and Princess Connect: ReDive, all units gain the potential to hit the highest rarity - I have a Yukari (originally a 1* unit) ready to hit 6* in PriConne, while I have a +9 merged 5* Fallen Takumi (farmable unit at 3*/4* base) in FEH. Arknights' case is more nuanced, where it's partly the same case as GBF, but also the fact that lower rarity units can fit into niches that high rarity units don't fill.
With these other games, I never feel like raising a lower rarity unit is a waste of resources. The costs of uncapping characters in general is negligible in GBF, except for the Eternals and the Evokers - those of which are reasonably time-gated because of their sheer meta impact and how strong they are compared to all other characters. Except for particularly egregious cases like Tsukinogi, every single Arknights Operator has their uses, and they often see use in Integrated Strategies.
And let's not get into the debacle that are skill levels, because of course you need more materials for that. I don't mind having high costs for optimizing skills - Masteries in Arknights works like that, after all. Pictured below is the cost of M3-ing Bagpipe's third skill.
Tumblr media
That's right - a tier 5 (Bipolar Nanoflake) and tier 4 (Oriron Block) material. And luckily, you can farm for all of these skill upgrade materials outside of events, crafting the higher tiers as necessary. There is less opportunity cost for me to E2 my 4* and 5* units because I can just farm the materials again anyways - and even then I some Masteries on these units are amazing. S1M3 Myrtle (4*) is probably the best DP generator in the game, while S2M3 Lappland (5*) also helps with her skill uptime.
Then you go back to WHB's skill upgrades, which mind you is also the same cost between rarities, and guess what else you need?
Tumblr media
Yep. Tears. A ludicrous amount of it, considering its availability. And let's not even get into the Tears required for the Unholy Board, if that matters to you (and it does, because it also gives buffs for your L units).
This skews the game balance towards the L units even more. Ideally you'd be raising skill levels once your units reach high levels, because everything is percentage based and the lower your base stats, the lower effect these skill levels have on your skills. But that just means you'll still need Tears because, well, you still need to promote. And remember the opportunity cost again, because all rarities have the same skill upgrade cost, further incentivizing you building Ls and ignoring everything else.
It's ridiculous.
And the added nail in the coffin: the reduced rewards that basically halved the amount of Tears you get.
I seriously, genuinely hope they take the availability of Solomon's Tears as well as game balancing into consideration when performing the next balance patch. Because otherwise, I can't see this game being an enjoyable experience for me moving forward.
Unless, this was the intended way the game was designed, in which I just...I have no more words to say.

Lucifers VS Lucifers : Round 0
Tumblr media Tumblr media
We're lucky to have very passionate submitters among us, so propaganda has to go under a readmore
Lucifenia : This is a joke entry but. listen. the name fits :P
It's the main setting for the Saga of Evil (Daughter of Evil, Servant of Evil, etc)
[edit i am skipping the first 500 years of history bc I'll be honest I do not care about them]
Was a Kingdom, had a selfish brat as its queen, which sparked a revolution (called Lucifenian revolution, lead by the Lucifenian resistance, oh look more possible candidates for this poll /j). Queen got overthrowned, Lucifenia got annexted to the nearby kingdom (whose King had helped with the revolution), but after little less than a century it gained indipendence again, this time as a republic. During this period it got hit by a string of murder cases caused by a criminal organization that had formed.
Two more centuries later, the country was starting to struggling and so joined with other nearby countries and they created the Union State of Evillious. I'll be honest I don't know much about this era, but something about zombie plague and civil unrest? The countries accousing each other of being the starting point of the zombie apocalypes? The eight century was Bad For Everyone. But don't worry! Year 999 brings Punishment (the apocalypse) and a new World (literally. I'm not sure on the details (this series is big and complex) but from what I understand it's a new dimension), so we don't need to worry about zombies anymore
Lucio : He has a complicated relationship with god. He's irresistibly attractive. He spends his days tormenting someone whose lost love shares his face by being a slut. Also, his true name, Helel ben Sahar comes from the original Hebrew term for the morning star Helel ben Shahar

Happy 10th anniversary to Granblue Fantasy! 2019 was a series of lowlights for me, but journeying through the Skies got me through so much. I still remember seeing the preview for The Many Lives of Cats and thinking "Even if I only play for a month or two, this is what I need right now." XD;
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Since then, though, GBF has become such a wellspring of creativity and joy for me! I've met so many friends through it, and introduced friends to it too. Here's to 10 more years!
(The MVP Allies under the cut for length)
Tumblr media
This first one shouldn't be that surprising, except maybe for Lancelot being #3. :D (I skipped the Fire slide because I swapped characters out a lot...)
Tumblr media
Lancelot and his beautiful assistants! (I'm surprised Isaac didn't get higher...)
Tumblr media
TRES BIEN~!
Tumblr media
Rosetta was my first spark ever and you better believe I made her put in the work for that. XD (Freyr also rarely leaves my party!)
Tumblr media
I heard Light was the "bishie element" and I took that as a credo. :D (Ceylan SSR this year maybe??)
Tumblr media
This has been my main Dark team since Seeds of Redemption! Eustace is the odd man out, but that's okay because he got a wedding ring out of it as soon as Home Sweet Moon's story concluded. \0/
Here's to 10 more years, again!

...CRUD, I'VE BEEN SO PREOCCUPIED WITH ARKNIGHTS STUFF THAT I FORGOT TO MENTION MY SPARK IN GBF!! Welp, better late than never.
(for the record, this was during the Flash Gala in the middle of October)
Tumblr media
First off, I got Erika. She looks decent enough, and I'm always interested in getting more tools for water.
Tumblr media
Next up is Halloween Tikoh. I honestly really like her, and she was who I wanted most (yes more than H!Vicky. I'm a waifu over meta kinda enby) so...I would be happy if IT DIDN'T TAKE ME OVER 200 ROLLS TO GET HER!! That was miserable. And what's worse is that I didn't get Vicky or Dante. Granted, I don't care as much about them, but it still stings all the same...though the shining lining is that I did get a second Grand Wamdus weapon (sorry, no screenshot because my mind was not in the happiest place exactly) so...I bit the bullet and scrounged over the game for "loose change," so to speak.
No, I did not spend any money. I was desperate, but not that desperate.
Anyways, long story short, I got enough pulls and stuff to finish my spark and get a third wambrella. And no spark image, I don't really feel like making one, even after the pain has long since faded.

hii! if someone is interested in getting into the original granblue fantasy (mostly because I'm curious about the characters, specially belial he's so pretty omg) are there any tips/things you'd recommend keeping in mind?
I hope you have a great day/evening/night/what other times of the day exist!
oh hi!!! another victim to how pretty Belial is...... welcome abord!
I have a lot of various level of tips depending on what angle of the game you want to explore, but it might be a little overwhelming. I'll start just by "making the game work well for you" and "how to advance in the Visual Novel (especially to get to Belial)" as the starter guideline.
My inbox is also always opened for any type of clarification: no question is too dumb, i'm here to help, whatever level you're at (.... except if you're on super High Level but i don't think that's going to be the case for a while)
I usually use the tag ichablogging gbftips if you need to look through some things
First of all, how the game works:
Granblue Fantasy is a browser game. It means you don't need an app to play it. however it is chromium based so you will need a google chrome tab or the likes (if like me you're on firefox, i genuinely run chrome only for Granblue at this point)
it is accessible on this address:
the page will be Japanese upon arrival, but just scroll a little and you'll find the "set language" settings
Tumblr media
There all you need to do is press new game and start on your journey.
Note that the English and Japanese server are the same. Unlike most gacha we play, it means there is no delay between the stories-- both language get games and stories update at the same time.
Word of advice: when the game asks you to link your account, like here:
Tumblr media
select Mobage. the page is in Japanese but it will be the most efficient way to save your progress. this page should help if it's not instinctive to you.
Once your mobage account done, tadaa, you can log in onto the game on whatever browser you would have, and you can be logged on multiple place at once! i'm currently playing on my phone while also taking screenshots on my computer! hell yeah!
On there the game will mostly hold your hand through the gameplay and the beginning of the main story, as well as your first gacha.
Slight information about the gacha:
-On your homepage, when the "Draw" button is blue, it means the rate up for SSR is really low. when the "Draw" button is golden, it means the rate up is at least doubled, and some rarer, limited units, are also in the pool. It is highly recommended that if you want to pull, you should pull when the Draw button is Golden (it's called "Gala" in general)
-there is a pity system called a Spark. After 300 pulls (or 30x10 pulls), you are allowed to choose one of any of the characters featured on this specific banner. Most people tend to wait until they have 300 pulls saved for when their fav is in the banner too pull as a result (or, as we say, we "save a spark"). This website can help you taking track of your spark.
-There ARE free pulls seasons: if you intend to be a seasonal (ie, not play for a time) it's good to come back in December, in March (it's the anniversary month, and next year is the tenth anni, so it might be even more of a celebration), and sometimes in Summer, in order to take advantage of the Free Pulls. Usually, in December and March, we get one free ten pulls a day at least, and then further into the month, we get "a roulette" that can double or triple that number. It's really worth keeping an eye on Free pulls seasons.
Others information:
-You will want to follow or keep an eye on the Granblue_en twitter account. It's a fan account that is always updating any information needed. It's a life savior gem.
-if you have any doubt gameplay wise, rely heavily on the gbf.wiki. It is EXTREMELY throughout gameplay wise. Genuinely a must-be-aware-of to play the game.
Important gameplay thing:
-If A Story Event is ongoing (it's not the case right now), and you don't want to read it for whatever reasons, do yourself a favor and actually go to the event page and manually skip every episodes of the event. It will save the event in your Journal, meaning it can be accessed later on when the event is no longer live.
(the current ongoing event, Dread Barrage, is a fighting event, i think you can kinda ignore it for now because it is when things start to be complicated, so don't mind it as of now)
Storywise:
There are three sorts of stories in Granblue:
-The Main Story Quest, which you will have to progress into in order to unlock the rest of the stories. It's the core of the Main Character's journey with Lyria and Vyrn as they travel the skies to reach their destination.
-Events and Side Stories, which are basically stories that happen when they dilly dally on their journey and go to new islands. Events and Side Stories often have their own casts that will not appear in the Main Story, but are still equally important to the game.
This type of story starts out as limited events: they run for ten days in Granblue. Then, they disappear for a while. Usually in the years that follow, this story gets a "rerun". It means the event goes back live, still limited for 10 days. And then, after a while, the event is ultimately added to the Side Stories tab, where it will always be accessible in game.
The Side Stories tab unlock after you finish Chapter 6 or 8 of the Main Story i'm not really sure. Some Side Stories will have requirements to be unlocked (like reading up to x chapter of the main story, or reading x over events before unlocking it) (it will be featured in the Gameplay Extras tab on the homescreen)
Some Side Stories are linked together. I personally call those "sagas". For example the Dragon Knights Saga (one of my favorite stories my icon and header are from) has about 10 events stories that have to be read in their publication order to be understood. It means you can expect the same cast, and a continuation to a previous story. Some Side Stories can also have casts from multiple sagas all together, so, have fun, explore the tab!
-Fate Episodes are the last type of stories you will have. They are linked to the characters units you will play with during the game, that you get by gacha or by completing events. Those are short stories that will be character driven. The characters can be Main Story Characters or Event Characters. Therefore they might further stories from their respective origins here and there. There is usually one starter episode unlockable as soon as you get the character, then one episode when you reach a certain level. SR and SSR characters who have a 5th star instead of only 4 also have another episode when you reach level 80, and then when you reach level 100. (the Fate episodes are available in the Quest tab and a shortcut to your list is also in the envelop menu on your homescreen)
SO THAT'S For the basic run down of some of the beginner things you want to keep an eye out storywise.
(Note that about every events are also available on youtube, so while missing an event sucks and all, if you wish to read an event which isn't in the side stories, or a fate episode of a character you can't get, youtube is here for you. also the transcript of every single stories are available on the wikipedia, though it's not as ideal.)
Gameplay wise, for the beginning, you'll get your hand held by the game. when it starts to get tricky, you're free to come and ask more precisions on here.
Now one last thing: how to get to Belial.
Belial is part of the side story saga known as "What Makes The Sky Blue".
The main story is a trilogy, respectively, "what makes the sky blue", "what makes the sky blue part 2: paradise lost" and "what makes the sky blue part 3: 000" After the trilogy, the summer event "The Maydays" is a sort of light hearted event following the events of 000 that involves the same cast. it is in the side stories. Last year, they also released another event including wmtsb characters, called The Mole Troupe. It has not been added to the side stories as of now.
To unlock the first part of wmtsb: you need to: -Reach Chapter 54 of the Main Story -Complete the side stories "Festival of Falling Flame", "The Cowardly Hero and the Captive Princess", and "Blade of the Young Champion" -(no one will blame you if you skip the side stories to read later, as it's mostly recommended because characters who appear in those events appear in wmtsb p1. But do read the Main Story though because the events rely a lot on the lore developed by the Main Story at this point.)
(and if you ever want to try out the Dragon Knights saga, it unlocks after Chapter 16 of the Main Story, and the first event is called Defender's Oath. Just to meet The Boyz.)
Also as a fair warning: early Granblue events tended to be shorter and perhaps a little less complex. After 2017 (wmtsb pt2), events started to grow longer and more complex. It might be jarring if you ever end up reading an early event and a more recent event back to back.
This would be my beginner outline at least.
One last warning: the gameplay will look intimidating at some point. don't let it intimidate you and just yolo. My ultimate beginner tip is that you should focus on stories and characters you like first. Discover the story, discover the characters. Don't let "trying to be good at the game" cloud you from just having fun with those characters. You can go far into the game without being hardcore into the gameplay, so take it easy and don't let it stresses you out.
Most importantly: have fun! take your time and enjoy yourself!
And if you have anything to ask - any tips, any recommandation, anything - my inbox is always opened ;D
Take care!

Como has estado, bro?
-------------------------
It's going to be a while yet before I fully analyze all the songs from Guilty Gear Strive… especially now that we know the roster is entering a 3rd season!!!
(Also bear with me, I'm not a music notes expert, so I'd save that for other music experts if you ask me.)
Regarding Street Fighter 6, I'm still somewhat apprehensive, mostly at the main content price which is roughly 100 dollars or more, which I don't have the money for.
I would sooner invest in the new colors for Guilty Gear Strive at this point, but we'll see how that goes.
Two other fighting games I still haven't invested in are Granblue Fantasy Versus Rising, DNF Duel, not to mention the rumors regarding Under Night In-Birth Sistema Celeste.
I also have my eyes on Final Fantasy XVI, Final Fantasy VII Rebirth, and a handful of other games I still haven't finished playing on my PC THAT STILL NEEDS TO GET FIXED…. UGH.
Well anyway, you get the point, I'd be up for any financial support readers want to give on my Patreon… It'd go a long way towards adding more video content on my end for starters… but I might do other stuff that's Guilty Gear related as well.
Anyway, thanks for always sending a note, and while Spanish isn't my best language, among other languages, I do my best to cover any and ALL languages if I can manage.

Mun & Muse Questions
Tumblr media
 1. What inspired you to make/pick up this character?
Tumblr media
Junichi Suwabe! HAUNTS ME!!!!
...at least with Sengo anyway. ( WE DO NOT TALK ABOUT HOW MANY FUCKING MUSES ON THIS DAMN BLOG HAS HIM AS A FUCKING VOICE ACTOR!!!)
I love Muramasa Swords and the myth surrounding them, so that originally caught my attention. Then I heard this guy open this mouth and I was so amused I couldn't help but love him.
Tumblr media
Belial...I think I blocked out the memory of how he became a muse on my blog or why. His hoe didn't even come to my account as a his Summer Summon on my account! So I see no reason why this guy is here or should stay here!
Tumblr media Tumblr media
IN FRONT OF THE DASH AND THEIR SALADS AND THEIR INNER CHILDREN!?!?
Tumblr media
"Don't be fooled by BIG C playing uncharacteristically boring. You all want the tea on what sparked our lovely relationship and what keeps the fires going?~ It isn't merely just matching vibes and our freaks when it comes to chaos and depravity. Oh no, what happens when two monsters from the abyss subjugate the surface with underworld secrets and all consuming obsession? A match that makes even hell tremble in fear~"
Tumblr media
"Some of you are curious, others are rolling their at the "glazing" as they like to say these days? Well, we're both men of action. Those from my own world know they can never hope to match my freak and can only manage to be entertainment for me before I get bored. Though they're always welcome to try to prove me wrong. Until then? Everyone and every world is ours to do with as we wish~"
Tumblr media
"...I don't see why my friends think I could write this bastard man at all..." Drinks more denial juice mixed with dumb bitch juice.
14. Do you know any of the mun’s other muses?
Tumblr media
"Yes! They're hot but steal so much attention away from me! I should call the government to come pick me up! I was not forged to be a neglected sword!!!"
Tumblr media
"Seofon, Eustace and Gran WISH they could obtain this much attention and affection! Clearly I'm one of the best to ever come out of Granblue Fantasy, after Faa-Sama, naturally."
Tumblr media
"...don't care, didn't ask. Also no."
Tumblr media
