Green Jay (Cyanocorax yncas)
"looks cool :)"
"Green bird!"
So apparently there are two subspecies of Green Jay, which are the Green and Inca morphs. I never knew the Inca morph existed until now. Their range map has me thinking these are two different species, as the Green morph occurs in Mexico and Central America while the Incan morph is in South America. The species in non-migratory as well. I think theyre undergoing a speciation event.
All of my own speculation aside, the general habits and habitat of the Green Jay remain the same. They're a social species, which means kids from the previous year's nests hang out with their parents to help guard the territory. The parents are truly monogamous, staying together even after the breeding season.

New DnD OC: Doorbell the Tired Archaeologist. Joined a dangerous party mission because he couldn't get funding elsewhere for his research (trying to excavate the ruins of Kenku cultural monuments) and he was promised a good reward. Was once told "of course you have blue hair and pronouns" and now it's his go-to phrase to repeat when he's nervous. He's based off of a Green Jay.

Green jay female character. Like their real life counterpart I imagine her being very chatty and moody.
