Last song: I’m Not That Girl from Wicked. It’s been a bad dysphoria day so it helps me feel my feelings instead of bottling them.

Favorite Color: I like warmer colors. Pinks and reds specifically. Also a nice lavender shade of purple is also lovely.

Last Movie: Saw franchise. I know. I’m aware. It doesn’t bother me and sometimes, it’s just nice to watch a story that’s not too deep and watch people who deserve it get some karma.

Currently Reading: Dune and Percy Jackson. Both of them. PJO gets read more but depression is a bitch.

Savory/sweet/spicy: I’m a slut for sugar. However, if I had to pick, it would be savory. It brightens my mood and reminds me that I also need to be taking care of myself.

Relationship status: Hopelessly single. People just aren’t interested and I can’t change their minds about dating an strange and awkward transgirl who wishes she was a dragon.

Current Obsessions: Destiny 2, Critical Role, Hollow Knight, my body, new OCs, Dark Souls 3 lore, and other things I won’t talk about because nsfw.

Currently Working On: Brainstorming for a slow burn I want to write and a spin off story about one of my OC’s joining the MK11 story to vent my frustration about not having an Xbox Series S and not being able to play MK1.

so loving men isn't a curse. loving men isn't "unfortunate". loving men isn't a bad thing. yes, we can joke about how awful men can be, but it gets to a a point where this mentality can really hurt. it can really feed into you hating yourself for something you can't control. loving men is something special. loving yourself is just as beautiful.

hey not to pry or not to be rude in any way, but what make you decide to be ex-transmed and ex-truscum? genuinely curious! ❤️

I believed for a long time that if someone didn't have consistent physical dysphoria then they couldn't be transgender. I was very upset with trans people being too gnc. I was skeptical of most nb people.

While I believed this I was a very hateful person in all aspects of my life. I wasn't happy and I was dragging my IRL trans friends down with me.

I was in a relationship with a transmed and that in a way made me want to enforce the ideology more. After that relationship ended I did a lot of self reflection. One of the things I refelected on was my truscum beliefs.

I came to the conclusion that I have no place to tell someone who they could or couldn't be. I have no place to tell someone what will make them happy. It is not up to me to tell someone not to pursue comfort when they do not necessarily recognize a discomfort.

I still believe that there is some biological aspect that makes someone trans. I still believe that gender is real and inate and not purely a social construct. I still believe that someone shouldn't transition medically unless they're absolutley sure that it will improve their life. I'm still a bit skeptical about the people who claim not to experience dysphoria nor euphoria in regards to their gender.

However, I refuse to put myself in a place that makes people afraid to be themselves and express their gender no matter how they do it.

been thinking about gender recently, so --

transphobia is just as fundamental to the (cishetero-)patriarchy as misogyny is.

if you treat trans men’s experiences as a mere “intersection”* or the “exception” to the “rule” of how cis men function under patriarchy, that’s transphobia.

if you treat trans women’s specific experiences as “special cases” that belong in a different discussion from the “norm” of cis women’s experiences of misogyny, that’s transmisogyny.

if your understanding of patriarchy treats cis experiences as the default and trans experiences as mere variations on that theme, or too complicated and obscure to bother getting into, you don’t understand the patriarchy.

*edit to clarify: trans men do not exist at the “intersection” of being a man and being trans, because our gender and our trans identity are /one and the same thing/. transmasc people are a distinct group under the patriarchy, not just an overlap between two other, more important groups.
