Lucien

Becoming High Lord of the Spring Court (hell no is Helion dying idc). Getting an apology/ redemption arc from Tamlin for his abuse. Becoming besties with Feyre again. 500 FOLLOWER CELEBRATION

I have never cared about having followers before, because I never actually found a platform which made me want to be active on it. But it feels really special to see that I have 500 followers. Its a flex in my family😁.

For all its flaws and ship wars, I am so thankful to tumblr for finally giving me an online presence and mutuals I love. This site is so interactive, relatable, genius, talented and soothing and I have all you guys to thank for it!

I actually think that SJM will show part of the book with Azriel pining after Elain but in the way where he believes he likes Elain and wants to be with her, but his actions completely contradict that. Like he is trying to be in love with her because the 3 sister 3 brother logic dictates that and he wants to be in love with someone (desire for mate). But he actually has no idea what loving someone is like so he realises in his character arc that that he's looking for the wrong things.

Basically doing beautiful bestie and love couple type things with Gwyn but not realising that that's the kind of love he's been looking for. And that him wanting Elain is just words and no thoughts or actions. I want to see his notion of love challenged in his character arc. And I honestly don't want Gwyn to be waiting on the sidelines with the knowledge that she's his mate, I honestly want both of them to figure that out only when they are together already.

I think Azriel forms a biased judgement of something in his head and sticks with it despite evidence otherwise.

His family abused him? All Illyrians deserve to die, despite the fact that he knows good ones like Rhys, Cass and Emerie too.

He thinks he's in love with Mor? Doesn't get over her or take the hint even after 500 years that she isn't.

He is a torturer? He's a monster who doesn't deserve anything good, despite having a family who loves him so much.

His brothers found happiness with a mate? He wants a mate despite knowing that his brother's didn't find happiness when they got to know they had a mate but when their mate and they fell in love and chose to be with the other.

His brothers have an Archeron mate? He wnats one too despite the 3rd Archeron already having mate.

He wants to be in love with Elain? He'll try to be with her despite not feeling any love for her and being in love with a teal-eyed Valkyrie instead till she makes it impossible for him to stick to his stupid judgement.

As Gwyn and Azriel's prank war goes on:

Azriel opens his wardrobe one morning to find that all his boxers have been replaced with pale pink thongs with unicorn ears on them, courtesy of Gwyn and the House.

And when he comes up to the dining room for breakfast, Gwyn teasingly calls out, "Won't you show us the ears Az?"

So he promptly takes his shirt off to throw at her and strides over to her and brackets her in the chair with his arms.

And whispers in her ear, " Don't see any do you Gwyneth? I thought going commando might be a better visual for you. Was I right?"

And walks off smugly leaving Gwyn all hot and flustered.

Favourite Characteristics- @gwynweek2022

Gwyn to me is the perfect blend of Beauty, Brains and Bravery .... my favourite moments highlighting these characteristics of hers are

Beauty - Not only is Gwyn canonically a beauty to rival Mor who is Prythians most beautiful female she is also beautiful as a person full of light and love.

Brains - there are plenty of moments but my favourite remains luring the beast to save her chosen sisters in the blood rite.

Bravery - She saved the children in Sangravah and endured horrors beyond comprehension. Her strength and bravery are amazing.

Day Six: Romance and Ships

Something sparked in Azriel’s chest, but he only nodded his thanks and left. He could picture it, though, as he ascended the stairs back to the House proper. How Gwyn’s teal eyes might light upon seeing the necklace. For whatever reason…he could see it.

Azriel was reading in the library when Cassian barged in. 

“Your mate’s in my bed,” he spat out.

Azriel’s eyebrows shot up. “Excuse me?”

“You heard me. Your mate’s in my fucking bed!”

Azriel tossed the book aside and stood. “Is…anyone else in there with her?”

Cassian crossed his arms in irritation. “Nesta and Emerie.” 

Azriel snorted. “I can do something about Gwyn but getting Emerie out of there is on you.”

Cassian huffed as they walked to his room. Azriel entered first and saw the three females twisted together on the bed. Gwyn was sprawled in the middle, Nesta and Emerie on either side with their arms thrown over her. 

Azriel smirked and turned to Cassian. “Maybe you need to find a different place to sleep tonight.” 

Cassian glared at him. 

Azriel’s scent in the room woke Gwyn and she lifted her head and peered through the darkness to where he and Cassian stood at the foot of the bed. 

Gwyn carefully untangled her limbs from Nesta’s and Emerie’s arms, scooted out from the pile of blankets, and crawled down the center of the bed to Azriel, who lifted her into his arms. She curled up against him, tucked her head into the crook of his neck, and closed her eyes again.

Behind her Nesta and Emerie shifted closer to each other in their sleep. 

Azriel grinned at Cassian. “G’night, brother,” he said as he headed out the door with Gwyn in his arms. 

Cassian snarled softly at his back and stared despondently at his bed.

I need a scene of Az and Gwyn eating together as "just friends," but when they get to dessert, some melted chocolate drips out of the corner of Az's mouth. Without thinking, Gwyn lifts up her hand and brushes it away with her thumb. Az, not thinking, leans forward to put her thumb in his mouth and lick the chocolate off.

Afterwards, when they're thinking, they wonder if they are truly "just friends" or if they're something more.

@gwynweek2022 Day 2: Favorite Character Traits

Warrior, scholar, & total sweetheart

Imagine Gwyn knocking Azriel out during a fierce hand-to-hand spar. Total lights out, can’t move, flat on his ass, loud *thud* type of knockout. Everyone suddenly stops training and stares at her.

The priestesses are jaw dropped. Cassian is in awe. Nesta mutters a “holy shit” and Emerie a “wow”

Azriel, too stunned, just lays on the floor for a little bit longer looking up at her with so much pride

Gwyn mortified and suddenly full of panic because oh my god she just hurt the the Shadowsinger.

Azriel suddenly laughing. A sweet joyous sound. He picks himself up, looks at Gwyn with such admiration and slowly reaches for her fist and lifts it above her triumphantly.

Gwyneth Berdara, ladies and gentleman.

After long and tedious nights in the library, Gwyn finishes her scholarly research on the Valkyries, Merril finishes the book, and Gwyn gets to add to special acknowledgments.

Gwyn writes a tender, simple thank you to Nesta, Emerie, Cassian and Azriel. The ones who made this possible for her. The ones who helped show her true power. The ones who didn’t let her break. The ones who made her strong.

There’s a celebration dinner. She gives a little speech. Shows off the book. And acts like it’s not a big deal.

Cassian loudly and obnoxiously makes sure that is in fact a major deal. He practically tackles her. Nesta and Emerie are emotional and squeeze her in big hugs. Once recovered, Gwyn goes and hugs Azriel. He pretends it isn’t warm and lovely. He ignores that they fit perfectly together. When she whispers “Thank you. Especially you.” Azriel pretends that he can still breath. And everytime he looks at her, Azriel pretends that his heart isn’t slamming in his chest.

Gwyn at 7am and at midnight with the brightest smile and a voice that can light up the day

She’s slow to anger, but once someone crosses or underestimates her, hell truly hath no fury

Analytical -- a good decision is one that’s made after thinking it over properly (and sending herself into a panic overthinking it)

Ambitious and just a teeny bit extremely aggressive

“She’s perfect. I love her”- Me, Nesta Archeron, Emerie, Azriel, you, & literally everyone

Practical, patient, and uses her head

A quick learner and is good! at! everything! examples:

Game night? The undefeated Monopoly champion - sends Cass to jail 5x's and makes Azriel sexually frustrated

Knitting? Here's a matching scarf, hat, and gloves with a hand-embroidered "A" surrounded with blue stars

Making dinner? Here's a gourmet burger with a toasted taleggio cheese crisp, mango chutney, black truffle aioli on a brioche bun.

She loves the smell of fresh parchment and leather

An old soul who knows old loves songs & ancient poems

A deep sense of curiosity for anything and everything around her

So, what is the optimal dagger length? What are the merits of a friends-to-lovers romance versus an enemies-to-lovers in a maintaining a healthy relationship? Do bigger wingspans truly mean bigger...? Why is the Night Court divided into three sociopolitical factions? How are the Illyrians racially and economically oppressed? Do you sing? So, what actually is Mor’s truth power? What hair potions does Cassian use? What are the imperialist downfalls of a High King monarchy? But really though, do you sing?

The singing and wingspan questions are of particular interest. She has her theories. It’s best to be thorough and conduct extensive analysis

Nesta & Azriel have the BIGGEST weakness for her. Once she gives them the puppy dogs eyes they are goners.

Nesta: She’s my best friend.

Azriel: *aggressively shows off wrist with friendship bracelet*

Nesta: She’s my wife.

Azriel: *dramatically waves arms at the mating bond*

Gwyn: so, Shadowsinger, how serious is this snowball fight you guys have? Nesta said Cassian literally jumped out of bed the morning after Winter Solstice to avoid being late for it.

Azriel: oh, we take it very seriously. We have kept this tradition for over 500 years. I spent a whole year planning my strategy to win this last snowball fight.

Gwyn: wow, that’s impressive. And did you?

Gwyn gets a little drunk with Nesta at the House of Wind and on her way to her room she misses her own bedroom door and accidentally enters Azriel's bedroom. The thing is, Azriel likes to sleep naked so you can imagine what she saw 👀

I was SO EXCITED to get this prompt! Also I never get prompts and badly want them so any prompt is exciting but this one was particularly juicy. I had so much fun writing drunk!Gwyn.

Drunk in the Wrong Bedroom (part 1)

Gwyn hiccuped her way up the stairs, one hand on the wall to stop the room from spinning.

She and Nesta had drunk at least half a bottle of whiskey together while Nesta talked about hers and Cassian’s sexual exploits in far too much detail. Though Gwyn had asked to hear about it, she still needed to drink a shot after every description. And now she knew way too much about what Cassian’s dick looked like, which had also necessitated a couple shots. Although she was drunk off her ass, Gwyn was pretty sure she hadn’t asked for an explanation of that particular aspect.

They decided to stop drinking when Gwyn’s incessant hiccups erupted, which made Nesta snort so hard that whiskey came out of her nose and she clutched her face in pain, bemoaning her burning nasal passages.

Gwyn screwed the top back on the bottle of whiskey and stared at the remainder, hiccupping every few seconds. “Azriel’s not going to notice we drank so much of his whiskey, right?”

“He’ll probably blame it on Cass—Cassian,” Nesta slurred. “Caaaaaassian.” She drew the name out with her mouth open wide and giggled. “I’m going to go find Caaaaaassian.”

She stumbled to her feet and helped Gwyn up, laughing at Gwyn’s steady parade of hiccups. Nesta said good night and lurched down the hall to her room, while Gwyn started up the stairs. Weeks ago Nesta convinced her to move from the library dormitories to the House, so she now had her own room on the upper level.

Gwyn slowly ascended the stairs. One particularly loud hiccup popped out and she whispered to herself, “Shhhh,” and then snickered.

Finally Gwyn made it up the stairs to the landing, stumbling to her door. She wanted nothing more than to fling herself into her huge bed and pass out.

The room was dark when she entered, the moonless night making the room nearly pitch black. But she was fairly certain how to get to the bed. She had barely made it to the edge when suddenly the covers moved of their own volition and then a faelight turned on, illuminating the room.

Gwyn jumped. Azriel was sitting on her bed with a huge dagger pointed straight at her. Gwyn stared at him, confused and drunkenly trying to make sense of the situation. Her eyes traveled down his bare chest, down, down, and she realized she was staring at his cock. His naked cock.

Gwyn squeaked in surprise. And then hiccupped violently three times in a row.

Azriel tossed the dagger aside and drew the comforter up, covering himself. He looked as confused as her.

“What—” she hiccuped again “—are you doing in my bed?”

Azriel’s brows rose. “This is my bed.”

“Then what is your bed doing in my room?” she demanded. Her effort at imperiousness was ruined by the hiccups that punctuated the question.

Azriel pinched the bridge of his nose. “Gwyneth. This is my room.”

Gwyn swayed and fell down onto the bed. Her brain tried to comprehend his statement through the fog of alcohol that clouded it.

She turned bright red. “I can’t believe I just saw your—your—” She couldn’t even finish the sentence.

Azriel’s lips quirked. “Yes, maybe refrain from telling Nesta about this.”

For a moment Gwyn just stared at him with round eyes, still trying to make sense of what was happening.

She leaned in closer. “Don’t tell—” another hiccup “—don’t tell Azriel that—” her voice dropped conspiracally low “—that we drank all his whiskey.”

Azriel’s lips pressed together like he was trying not to laugh. “It’ll be our secret.”

“And don’t tell Azriel that I—” hiccup “—that I—” hiccup “—that I’m in love with him.”

A beat of silence passed. “Okay,” he murmured, “I won’t.”

“Good,” Gwyn said as she flopped down onto her back beside him and closed her eyes.

“Don’t you want to…” Azriel began uncertainly, “...stay in your bed?”

“This is my bed. We already established that.”

Azriel gaped down at her with his mouth half-open.

Gwyn mumbled to herself, “Based on Nesta’s description, Azriel’s cock is definitely bigger than Cassian’s.”

Azriel’s jaw dropped.
