rivalry over similar professions
Circuit would find Mx. Bot to be quite charming in terms of ambitions, and probably see himself in them.

Somewhere in an alternate universe...
Maybe Reconfigure by omytheon, depends. That's where I got the 'What if Shigaraki and Kaminari were gaming buddies without realising each other's actual identities-'
Anyway.
Watchin' some stuff with my sisters the other day, and we were talking about the plot as it came up, and how mind control is basically hacking- (the stageplay was about assassins and it had hacking in it)-but like hacking people's feelings!
So obviously the main character had been controlled by the feelings hacker, which led to 'that's basically what therapy is right? I mean, they basically do that right? the hacking people's feelings?' (just to clarify, I do NOT mean the mind control part-)
Anyway. That led to "that would be hilarious if some kid who basically lived online described his therapy appointment as 'visiting the feelings hacker'" and my brain was like, 'wait. I can think of a character who might actually call it that in some alternate universe where he actually got therapy-'
Which is how this came to be.
:D

the university: it’s time to change your password! please have more than 15 characters and include capital letters, numbers and soecial characters!
the university: we’ve switched to a dual-factor authentification system! just get out your phone every single time you want to study to access your resources, this will protect your privacy and definetly won’t be an annoying or distracting hurdle at all
the university: *gets hacked, massive leaking of student’s personal information*

TAG became aware of the Heliconia framework when Google received an anonymous submission to the Chrome bug reporting program. The submitter filed three bugs, each with instructions and an archive that contained source code. They used unique names in the bug reports including, “Heliconia Noise,” “Heliconia Soft” and “Files.” TAG analyzed the submissions and found they contained frameworks for deploying exploits in the wild and a script in the source code included clues pointing to the possible developer of the exploitation frameworks, Variston IT.

The message from Maddy (or, more rightly, HAV0C) sends arrives via a self-encoding chatroom they've been using to banter across at 3:19am on the dot: 𝙸 𝚑𝚊𝚟𝚎 𝚊 𝚚𝚞𝚎𝚜𝚝𝚒𝚘𝚗 𝚊𝚗𝚍 𝚒𝚝'𝚜 𝚟𝚒𝚝𝚊𝚕 𝚢𝚘𝚞 𝚊𝚗𝚜𝚠𝚎𝚛 𝚌𝚘𝚛𝚛𝚎𝚌𝚝𝚕𝚢.
𝙰𝚛𝚎 𝚏𝚞𝚛𝚋𝚒𝚎𝚜 𝚌𝚞𝚝𝚎, 𝚘𝚛 𝚌𝚛𝚎𝚎𝚙𝚢?
The notification chimes distractingly from one of his monitors, though he's been staring at the same string of code for a good few hours if the burn as he blinks is anything to go by. HAV0C’s user blinks at him and G1itch responds.
𝚃𝚑𝚎 𝚚𝚞𝚎𝚜𝚝𝚒𝚘𝚗'𝚜 𝚜𝚞𝚋𝚓𝚎𝚌𝚝𝚒𝚟𝚎.
𝚃𝚑𝚎𝚛𝚎'𝚜 𝚗𝚘 𝚛𝚒𝚐𝚑𝚝 𝚘𝚛 𝚠𝚛𝚘𝚗𝚐 𝚊𝚗𝚜𝚠𝚎𝚛.

𝚃𝚑𝚎𝚢'𝚛𝚎 𝚌𝚞𝚝𝚎.

Music filled Madelyn’s apartment. She’d designed it that way. With bits and parts, salvaged pieces of old machines, lengths of wire from retired devices. She turned it, all, into a system. A system with many uses, but one of which was exactly this. Music in every corner without having to play it so loudly it echoed through the open atrium of the stairs between the apartments. (A thing her neighbors two floors overhead were thoroughly guilty of on a near daily basis.) So she could shuffle through her kitchen, sliding over the linoleum in knitted socks, while the same music she’d had playing elsewhere kept her company here, too.
The computer ping!ed at her across this system too, summoning her back to its epicenter in the den. Mug in hand, Maddy folded herself into her desk chair. She had to shuffle a few tasks and windows, but soon enough had the right one dragged in front of her, the cursor blinking in wait. She laughed, glancing for her window as she set her mug down on the desk. Her fingers flew.

She settled back and took a generous gulp of coffee. As an afterthought seized her, she leaned forward again-
