yeah i'm still waiting for good omens the musical and i'll keep waiting as long as it takes so i don't think i have much of a problem waiting for go3 (if it comes)

something hilariously ironic and somehow kind of sweet: this is the first time I've ever received flowers from a boy in my LIFE. this is the first time, and they aren't from my ex-boyfriend (the thought never crossed his mind) or my father or my brother..... the FIRST TIME I've ever received intentional flowers from a boy, it's from boy problem no 2. 😂😂😂😂😂 like what on earth!!!!!
#if i don't laugh about it i WILL cry#this is the second emotionally unavailable engineer boy who is so gentle it breaks my heart#i am floored by how kind of a friend he is. he and another friend intentionally planned a surprise#knowing that i had mixed feelings about my birthday and knowing that friends in the past seldom organized things for it#i have FLOWERS from him!!! dianthus flowers. and a book of prayers!!!!!!#in some ways this too is a gift.#so is the even more ironic fact that he told me a few days ago that he loved me (he meant it platonically). im not making this up lol#you couldn't make this up!!!#from a narrative point of view this is yet another HILARIOUS situation in the ongoing series of romantic mishaps#it does make my heart twist a little but it is light enough that i can still laugh about it!#i have a great deal of fondness for this man and i will not agonize over this the way i did over the first engineer :)

It is cruel and inefficient and its cruelties only make it more so. Sqh is ‟awarded‟ with the role of Peak Lord#of An Ding (this crown of barbed wire). And sqh doesn't MEAN to change the plot but– it's awful here! It's so awful that it's OFFENSIVE#and before sqh knows it two years have passed and An Ding is a mess of growing pains: of infrastructure torn down and rebuilt#but it's... better. It's hard work. It undeniably sucks and makes sqh cry from frustration all the time! Balancing the fixing of all the#shit his shizun left broken while staying on top of his usual duties is a procession of sleepless nights and little pains. (perhaps sqh has#growing pains too. change is hard for all that it's necessary.)#and then– and THEN! #another day! what are we all planning on doing with it! what is everyone reading right now! having finished gios room yesterday i#am currently not reading anything except um. hex hall. with ren. because i love ren. but a second hand book site had a sale going#on so i got 4 secondhand books for 13.30 and they're arriving this weekend :-) today i am planning to. carry on looking for jobs which#is miserable especially considering my cv is underwhelming and looks like i dont have much meaningful experience because i was#unable to find a delicate way of mentioning that on top of my old job i also did my managers' job starting from the ripe old age of 16#because they decided to just stop putting managers on most of the shifts i used to work so all the stuff that the manager was responsible#for was left to me and was not reflected in my pay...not that im bitter about that or anything...ANYWAY. also today i plan to#make some genuine progress with planning [noisy train passes by] and also get my paints down and sort through them to find which#ones havent dried up..maybe paint something..like a pigeon although i dont know how to draw or paint pigeons i just love pigeons and sheep.#(ridi's) bigmouth strikes again

Went to some local bookstores with my friend today and couldn’t resist buying the Spy x Family manga!

Manga and merch haul from today!!
#prince's talk tag#went to a street fair in the city and ate a bunch of expensive food but they tasted good so im not too mad#and then i hit up kino and bnn for books#bnn was doing their buy one get one 50 percent off so that made me get more than i was planning on getting#most of these are just the next volume(s) i needed to read#witch hat did have the first two volumes of cooking spin off but i wasnt sure how worth itd be#like my boys are the stars but last time i read a chill cooking manga i wasnt as into it and ended up dropping it#so im afraid of that happening here#the eclair series i was interested in bc its a bunch of yuri one shots and i only had bleue and blanche and didnt know there was more#so imagine my surprise when i saw two other colors and i think the first one before they started naming it after colors#i got scared for a second bc i thought i accidentally bought eclair twice but i was confusing it for bleue so there were no dupes#another thing i was surprised to find where the cds in the first pic#i have the osts of the og games but not their remakes so ofc i had to get them#i just need FES and Royal and im all set (i got reload's on mercari)#went back to the place i got the blind boxes and i was trying for Luka or Kaito and i got Wonderland Luka but Computer Len#im not mad i got Len bc he is my son but i do like how Luka's looks for it but theyre pricy so i didnt want to buy too many#now if i could wonderland!kaito and computer!luka id be happy#also did the gachapon machine and got a snow miku keychain which you can see on the book in pic 3#its really cute i like it a lot

How am I just now finding out about the colour of revenge??? I haven't particularly kept up with Cornelia Funke, but I do search her every 6 months or so. But HOLY SHIT ANOTHER INKWORLD BOOK IM FREAKING OUT.
I also found those GORGEOUS STUNNING BEAUTIFUL 20th anniversary editions and I must admit I am trying very hard to not spend an obscene amount of money on a copy.

#actually severely depressed that i wont be able tp go see my friends this weekend because i booked the flight wrong#ive been looking forward to this for fucking weeks and now its just. all down the drain because i was fucking stupid.#and changing the flight is gonna cost so much money and its not worth it and i still have to pay that $100 for my no-show#and im getting a haircut and i have to buy a wedding gift like.#i have too many expenses to make spending an EXTRA $130 on a flight to be worth it just to see a friend for one day#im just so fucking. angry. like if i just fucking paid attention i wouldn’t have missed my appointment and had to pay that fee.#if i had just paid attention i would’ve realized i never changed the flight time a fucking month ago.#like it just feels like such small bullshit to have ruined so much and for fucking what?!?#and now if i try to go another weekend its like. i already took time off for this one#its too short notice to have everyone change their plans#it’s still gonna cost me $100+#and ramadan is coming up so i’d have to go very soon which will make it even More expensive#like. slightly different route:
the legendary one cycle sprint to ascension! route suggested by @sevenrs which i decided to try. the route is honestly pretty similar to what i was doing before, with a few minor tweaks that ended up making it faster than my original route.
as you can see from the score screen though, it's not actually 'one' cycle; i starved twice to bring my karma up so i could go to pebbles. but the game doesn't know any better :) tbh this was pretty fun, particularly because i'm more familiar with the route now. if you're okay with navigating drainage system and filtration system in the dark, you can give it a whirl!
#sky i am so sorry for the three tags now but i cannot in good conscience not tell you about this#or credit your (and your friend's) route planning#speeeeed#yes game i totally have only 1 minute and 56 seconds of playtime ✨#rain world#for anyone legitimately interested in trying this out:#skip the tutorial by not entering any of the tutorial food rooms#and get food elsewhere. exactly 5 is enough so don't bother hunting bats for too long#save in the outskirts shelter near the industrial complex gate#upon cycle 1's start: starve#do NOT touch the karma flower before you starve. i had to restart because i realized i fucked up#once you enter your starve cycle eat the karma flower in the room below the den#then die. quitting out might be faster but i need to check if it works; it should but just to be safe yknow#repeat with industrial complex flower and den#once you hit karma 4 reroll your rain timer until it's long enough to run all the way to pebbles in one cycle#yes it's doable. it's fun and scary and you will feel so cool#and then die or quit out once he gives you karma 10#so you'll be back in the outskirts den after that. just book it to filtration system through drainage system#you will have to deal with dark rooms but it's like. fuckinnnnnnn uhhh four or five rooms that are pitch black#and then you're in depths! and nothing matters anymore :) except fall damage i guess#don't die in depths to fall damage#i'm excited to see if anyone can beat my time. most of my speed comes from running away from enemies and chaining roll pounces#nothing fancy movement wise. so anyone better at movement than i am could probably beat that time easily

It's been officially longer than a year since I last posted gameplay pics...
For the most part of 2022, I couldn't play The Sims because I shared a computer and we couldn't agree on it. Then I played it for like, 2 months (in 2023!) on my bf's computer, but I couldn't take any screenshots 😭 And now, since October of 2023, I've been in England working as a volunteer, with no access to a personal computer. My friend was kind enough to lend me his laptop a few weeks ago so that I could finally play a bit, but it's not ideal because, well, it's his, and he needs it for work outside of the volunteering. I might be able to get my hands on a new laptop soon though (!!!!!!), and I'm really excited about finally being able to remove the "hiatus" from my bio! Or at least replace it with "semi hiatus", you know lol
I obviously won't be able to even remember what's gone on in my households, but at least I'll be back to playing once every few weeks and documenting my stuff. If everything works out, I should be here in one or two weeks, posting unedited screenshots of my game, like I used to, and getting 2 to 5 likes on each post <3 Just how I like it!

it really is a good thing i like blondie so much so i can be excited about leigh’s other duology. i am not excited for crooked kingdom we know this we know i’m putting off that book like it’s going to give me the plague. but i’m thrilled to read about nikolai i love that dude

Is it even Thanksgiving week if your extended family isn't giving you extreme agita
#woke up to an angry 5 paragraph essay of text messages#from my cousin because she was pissed about the trip to france#that i researched planned and invited her on#shes mad bc i was upset with her when she was nearly an hour late getting to the airport#bc she packed last second and left the house late#even though i told her how important leaving on time was to me bc it would cause me ungodly amounts of anxiety#and i was exhausted after our overnight flight and was cranky#which i apologized multiple times for bc i did feel bad for being tired and cranky#she never apologized for being late btw#and i got a fucking thesis statement of texts calling me rude dismissive and that she “didnt know who i thought i was talking to like that”#even though shes the one that complained about every. single. thing. all week#like she called everything we did and everywhere we ate a crappy tourist trap#and went on about how she didnt like the itinerary#which she had at the time we booked the goddamn trip#and i just feel so exhausted#and frustrated and hurt bc what am i gonna do#she sent a barrage of texts accusing me of being a shitty person for wanting to be on time and being tired our first day#and now she wont respond#so like what am i gonna do#shes my cousin and i love her but this is such a dick move and not a proper way to handle being upset#like its so immature!#i did all the work in terms of planning and researching and evrrything#for her to complain and be a snob about everything the whole time#AND now get yelled at at 8am sunday morning about how i didnt cater to her enough#like i had a great time anyway i cannot emphasize enough how much i loved the trip wven with her complaining#but like shes the unreasonable one here#i apologized profusely for being cranky and said i was also exhausted bc we were on the SAME OVERNIGHT FLIGHT I CAN BE TIRED TOO#and just bc i wasnt sulking all week like a child doesnt mean she didnt say or do anything to hurt my feelings#and even though objectively i know shes being unfair and angry and hurt right now#i feel really really really shitty and guilty and even if im right im still the one feeling like trash and crying rn
