So, it’s Fic Writer’s Appreciation Day...

I know this is coming in a little later, than other’s posts about it, but if we really take a step back - we should be appreciation fic writers all the time, not just on one day. 

Some people do whatever they can to support people like me - writers of fics that post and share their hobby with the world - and that takes a helluva lot of guts to do. The world’s a scary place, and the people in it can be hella nasty, but we keep posting anyway. 

So without further adieu, I’ll get started (’cause this could be a long list...)!

(Also, please take these lightly. I’m not great with words, and I can be awfully awkward, so bewarned~)  

First that comes to mind is @ellana-ravenwood. She’s an amazing writer, and I’m not going to lie by saying she wasn’t a huge inspiration for me to start writing and posting - because she was, and still is. So, Ella, if you’re reading this, I want you to know how much you mean to me - and no doubt others too. You’re awesome. Don’t ever doubt yourself. 

Next is @writefightandflightclub. My fellow Poe Hoe. My ride or die. I don’t care if you don’t see me the same, you’re a homie to me, and I would kill or be killed for you - I swear that. You always manage to say the best stuff, and I have no idea how you do it, but you better not stop.

@gingerwritess is my go-to for Loki fics. I will forever proclaim your talent, Theo, and how you always manage to write Loki so well. Honestly - did you sell your soul or something? If you did I wouldn’t be surprised. We love your work! 

Naturally @propertyofpoeandbucky is on this list, and not just because she’s an absolute doll. Both her and @whirlybirbs have this thing where they get into a new and almost completely unrelated fandom from the one I followed them for, and let’s just say - Lani - I have never felt such a pull to Spencer Reid in my whole damn life up until you started writing for him. I swear - 

@fizzyxcustard and @cassiabaggins both post some slapping Lord of the Rings and The Hobbit fics, and they both always manage to pull me into the void known as the Durin Hole, because damn - if somehow their writing doesn’t do that one day, that will be the day I am taken into the darkness and die. 

@sunmoonandbucky, @cake-writes, and @imanuglywombat - the Bucky Babes. All three of you are honestly such good writers, and even better people. I love you three so much, and you always deliver - not the content we want - but the content we deserve. I send my love to you, hang in there guys!

@haikyuudreaming. Kris. Sweetie. Your headcanons make my day. They always make me feel better, even if they’re filled with angst - and I can’t help it, they just do, so we’ll have to just put up with that fact. You write our volleyball boys so well, and I love you so for it. 

@quilledinkpen. The more I get to know you the more we have in common. I swear if we end up being seperated twins or something I wouldn’t even flinch at it. You’re writing is great, and you’re doing so well. 

@commanderserwin, @xxsmokeyy, and @attackonfics, you all feed my Attack on Titan thirst so well. You all write beautifully, and convey the feelings that would come with being in this anime so well that I often find myself cutting off from the real world and being right there - you know? Thank you, for being able to do that. 

@keiqos and @keilemlucent, you both are my go-to sin-bin bingers. I’m a Hawks gal through-and-through, but damn - when you write for others I read them too, and I love them just as much. I feel like I need to wash my eyes out, but I guess it’s my fault I can’t help going back for more, huh?

In short, I love all your writing so much. More than words can really say. So consider this me also sending you as much hugs and love as you need!

Rome: ancient rome or ancient greece?

Hands down it’s Ancient Greece. I love the Greek spellings better, I love the art and cities more, and I hate Ancient Rome with the fury only a forced Latin Student can muster. Screw Rome, it’s seven bridges, and the weird comparisons someone made between it and Pittsburgh. 

Naples: if you could visit anywhere in the world, where would you go and for how long?

I would love to take like three months to just backpack across Europe. I think I’d like in Norway or Sweden then move on through the Finland and the Baltic States (possible hit Russia because I want see a ballet performance in Russia), then swing to Poland and Hungry. Turkey isn’t in Europe but I’d be so close I think I’d like to stray out to see see at least a little bit of it. Then, Greece and maybe Bulgaria and/or Macedonia. From there it’s a hodgepodge of other countries but I know I want to end in Iceland.

Hajime pinches the bridge of his nose and bites back a sigh. He thinks he’s being subtle about it, but- “Iwaizumi, are you alright?” Hinata appears behind him and he nearly jumps out of his skin.

“I’m fine, Hinata,” He flashes a quick smile. “Thanks. Need something?”

“No,” Hinata shakes his head, “I just wanted to make sure you’re alright. You kinda snapped at Atsumu just now.” His tone is nothing but genuine concern, which just makes Hajime feel worse. Sometimes he has to remind himself that he is 27, and Miya Atsumu is not Oikawa. He can’t just headbutt him to get his point across.

“Sorry,” He says, a little louder, sheepishly meeting Atsumu’s gaze, who shrugs it off. “Alright,” He brings his hands together, “Let’s just keep going.” The truth is that he’s been out of sorts all day, and trying his best not to let it show. Obviously he isn’t being very successful.

It all started when his alarm didn’t go off this morning. He only woke up five minutes late, but it still threw the rest of his morning off. You were trying to help him get out the door on time, but he’d just brushed you off. Maybe if he hadn’t been so short with you, you would have reminded him that his lunch was still in the fridge when he dashed out the door.

Now he’s just getting hungrier, and he’s not looking forward to going out in search of a quick bite at lunchtime. It’s always such a hassle, and he always ends up eating something he regrets later.

When lunchtime comes around, he’s just shrugging his coat on when he hears a familiar voice across the gym. Turning quickly, he sees you chattering with Hinata, who’s opening the lid of a familiar container and peering inside with a delighted grin. In your arms, your son is babbling away, eating up the attention Bokuto is giving him as he waggles his fingers in his face.

“What’re you doing here?” He asks when he reaches your side, and you turn to him with a smile. Your son immediately loses interest in Bokuto and reaches for Hajime, patting his small palms on his cheeks the moment he’s in his arms.

“Well, we were on our way grocery shopping, and I saw that your lunch was in the fridge,” You give him a pointed look, and he offers you an apologetic smile.

“You didn’t have to,” He murmurs.

“I was out anyway,” You say breezily, remarkably unbothered even when you’d have every right to be. “That’s why we made you something a little special for lunch,” You grin, handing him the bento box. It’s not the lunch he’d packed for himself last night, that’s for sure. He peers inside and nearly feels faint at the aroma wafting from the meal. It looks incredible.

“I brought something for the rest of the guys, too,” You add, turning to a sheepish Hinata who already has a half-eaten cookie in his hand. “Don’t worry, they’re actually sort of healthy!” Hinata examines it with a little more scrutiny. “I mean, for a cookie,” You giggle. “Somebody’s gotta treat them every now and then, and we all know it won’t be you,” The laughter that rings out would have gotten under his skin this morning, but now he just smiles good naturedly, cuddling your son a little closer.

“Just this once,” He allows, shooting you a fond smile as he grabs a cookie from the container for himself. He steps a little closer to you as the team disperses. “Thanks for stopping in,” He murmurs, “Sorry for this morning.”

You wave it off with a shake of your head. “It’s fine,” You insist, “It was a rough start.” You laugh softly. “Hopefully it’s better now, though.”

“Much,” He says, leaning in to steal a quick kiss when he’s sure most of the guys aren’t looking. “I love you,” he adds, pressing a kiss to your son’s cheek.

“We love you, too,” You grin, reaching for your son. “And now we should probably get going to finish our shopping, right?” You ask your son as you settle him back in against your hip. He burbles in response. “See you when you get home,” You say finally, leaning in for one last kiss. Hajime lets himself linger just a few seconds longer than he knows he should. You leave to a chorus of goodbyes from the team. There’s still a smile on his face as he watches the two of you go.

“You seem like you’re in a much better mood than this morning,” Hinata comments later that afternoon. Hajime can only nod. His family are the ones to thank for that.

So, Kuroo definitely hogs the whole bed with his long-ass body and he loves to put his head in between the pillows (his bed hair gets a special kind of touch when he sleeps like that) or on your pillow to purposely annoy you. I bet he has the fluffiest pillows because he loves when his head just dips in the middle; he loves sleeping on your pillow because he loves the smell of your shampoo right after you shower, so make sure you get into bed ahead of him lol

During the weekdays, he’s rather productive and gets up early to make you guys breakfast, but if he has the chance to sleep in on the weekends he will take it because he loves his sleep. If you happen to wake up after him, then he’s either kind and brings you breakfast in bed or makes you get up by jumping on top of you and messing with you until you give up and wake up – he loves disturbing you in the mornings most of the time

He’d definitely have a special place in the house to put your wedding pictures on display. His go-to afternoon routine is to make himself a cup of coffee or tea if it happens to be a rainy day and sit down in the fancy ass armchair with a footrest that he wanted to splurge on and read a book while glancing at the wedding pictures from time to time, a small smile on his face every time he looks at them

When you get home, you always find him asleep on the couch, his reading glasses crooked and book nestled in his lap, emitting soft snores while snuggled into the soft material of the armchair. If you were to ask him about his favorite sight in the whole world, it would be waking up and seeing your face in front of him as he wakes up from his nap, the dimmed lights of the living room enchanting the moment.

He’s such a romantic, I can’t emphasize this enough. When you two first started dating, he was more of a lost cause because he didn’t know how to present to you his romantic nature and he still had his dorky ways. Now, married to you, he’s learned the exact ways how to impress you and show you how much he loves you. That said, he never forgets an important and likes to splurge when it comes to anniversaries or birthdays.

„It’s only a few days per year, why don’t we celebrate it like we deserve to?“

He’s the most talkative person when he’s on a business trip or away from you for a few days because he is bored whenever he doesn’t have anything to do, so he can talk your ear off at these times – he never calls you when he knows you’re at work tho :)

You two would be the couple that literally does everything and anything, and you’re always out and about. But, of course, on the weekend, both of you prefer to have some alone time at home and just do nothing; and then that nothing turns into let’s watch movies or bake something because Kuroo loves trying out random recipes and burning the pots in the kitchen – I don’t headcanon him as the most skillful cook honestly, so don’t let him near the stove

You know how some people know the waiters in literally every restaurant in town and they always come to welcome the said person? Well, that’s literally Kuroo lol. Every waiter knows him because either the two of you frequent said places or his office buddies do, sometimes Kuroo has a bakery or coffee shop he particularly likes so they know him there as well – just wanted to get this out there lol

Even though Kuroo didn’t pursue professional volleyball, he’s still physically active and loves doing exercises at home or runs in the mornings. Couple’s yoga is definitely a thing with this guy because it’s a way to be somewhat active (you two would laugh and mess around more than actually do yoga) and he has an excuse to place his hands wherever he wants because you’re his partner for life

Oh, also, like every couple, you do have your arguments and disputes, but Kuroo knows how to balance it out because he hates being in an argument with you, so he almost never says something out of spite in an argument and thinks before saying anything. If you two happen to have a big argument, he tends to apologize first if you don’t want to and he always has these long-ass speeches prepared on why the two of you shouldn’t fight

He tends to end it on a funny note if the air is immediately cleared once the two of you talk it out. Yes, he’s definitely the type to immediately talk to you after an argument and settle things right away than wait for things to calm down on their own

Now, cause the topic of marriage is usually followed by the topic of kids, Kuroo doesn’t really care if you two are going to have kids or not, he’s rather neutral about that idea. He does like kids and would like to have a mini-him, but if you don’t want to or the two of you are unable to have them, Kuroo doesn’t bat an eyelash and is perfectly content with the idea of just the two of you being a family – and, of course, Kuroo definitely wants to have a pet; preferably both a cat and a dog, and he’d name his cat either ’neko’ or ’nekoma’ and buy it random red outfits or accessories so it’ll remind Kuroo of his high school days

Evenings with Ennoshita

Summary: After moving in with Ennoshita, you spend dinners and baths catching up. How else do you like to spend your evenings with Ennoshita?

Notes: Traditional Japanese baths include a shower area (that has a stool) and a short but deep bathtub. One showers first before soaking in the tub. (wc:  815) Lowkey inspired by Little Karasuno Things by Kris (haikyuudreaming)

Ennoshita x fem!reader genre: lowkey smut, fluff, domestic,

When Chikara Ennoshita steps into the shower, you look away to give him a semblance of privacy.

“How was work at the hospital?” you lean forward to ask him while you lounge in the tub.

He sits on the shower stool, running the shower head through his body. The gentle hum of the water fills your ears. Finding a home in the suburb allowed the two of you to buy a house with a bathroom that could fit a reasonably-sized shower area and a tub for your nightly ofuro or a Japanese bath.

“Not so bad,” he smiles mildly, “The patients that showed up today were showing signs of improvement. Felt nice to see their work get somewhere.”

When his arms are raised, you study his defined back and biceps. He notices how you’ve been looking and takes it as a sign to let his gaze lingers at you. You’d think you’d be used to his gaze by the now, but you still resist the urge to blush sometimes.

“It’s your work too, Chikara. Give yourself some credit.” you lean back into the tub.

“I’m here to help, but if they don’t put in the work physically and emotionally, my guidance will be useless.” he murmurs humbly. He often defers from praise.

Before he starts shampooing himself, you point towards a new bottle of shampoo, “I got you your shampoo on the way home.”

Ennoshita chuckles, “Alright! Alright, I’ll stop using your stash.”

When you come back to the bathroom and sink area twenty minutes later, he is bent over the washing machine, loading in another batch of laundry. He looks up and his eyes widen at what you are wearing. A glint flickers in his eyes before his usual thoughtful expression resumes.

“The last time you wore that shift dress was on our wedding night. You’re out of pajamas.” he observes, “Mmm...maybe I should’ve done a load yesterday.”

Ennoshita is the type of man who prepared dinner on nights you don’t feel like cooking and did the laundry even if it was your turn to do so.

“I forgot about my turn, sorry.” you apologize.  

“I’m not complaining,” he tilts his head to give you a smile.

You place your hands on his chest and dip your forehead into his collarbone. He puts his arms around you. Both of you stay still for a few minutes. His hands do not linger anywhere they do not have permission on and instead he rubs your back. You sigh in contentment. You sometimes wonder how he could spend all day helping people and come home still ready to spoil you.

“You’re a little clingy today,” he smirks. He liked the pressure and warmth of your body on his.

“And?” you reply, pulling away to look him in the eye.

“Nothing, I’m just saying. I don’t mind it.” he says, giving you a peck on your cheek, “Who says that romance dies after marriage?”

You run his hands up and down your body, letting him explore your curves and bumps. You feel his hands wander up your dress and you gasp a bit when he presses his fingers inside of you.

“Seriously? In the laundry room?” you ask.

In response, Ennoshita sweeps you off your feet and brings you over to your shared bed. He crawls on top of you and starts planting kisses along your neck and collarbone. You bury your nose in his hair. His shampoo is a common enough scent, but it is his scent. And you missed it every night he didn’t smell that way.  

You run your fingers through his cropped hair as he gently presses a kiss onto your lips. The bed shifts as he lays down beside you and he wraps his arms around your waist.

“I like the smell of your hair tonight.” you murmur. You can feel him pull up the covers on the both of you. You wrap your arms around his neck.

“Because it means I’ve stopped using yours?” he grins cheekily, his face so close to yours. His hands gently slide down the straps of your shift down and you could feel his hands exploring your chest. You moan in pleasure as he softly grinds himself against you.

“Because I don’t like it when you smell like me. I like it better when you smell like you.” you say, sleepily smiling and pressing your lips into the crook of his neck. You tug his shirt up lightly. He stops you and gets off the bed.

Ennoshita turns out the light before he crawls into the bed again. You wait for him to settle in beside you before you close your eyes. The scent of his shampoo still lingers in his hair. It’s how you know that he’s by your side when the room grows dark.

“You can’t be going to sleep just yet.” he hums.
