No one asked but here's Ulric's (the Drow from the Yuan-Ti art) beautiful fiance and her family, and her most favored investigator!

(It took hours for this to get uploaded because I had to split the image in half apparently? Curse you Tumblr for making me split them up)

SO the adventuring party (consisting of Ulric the Drow Wizard, Ghrosh the Orc Ranger, Thimble the Halfling Bard and Needle the Cat, Many Fingers the Tabaxi Fighter, and Nils the Dragonborn Cleric) have discovered that one group is funding the various Large Crime Families, Creepy Cultists and General Evil Mayhem (and one house of well-intentioned body horror), and the trail leads to the capital of the small kingdom of Kilnvalley (named for its abundance of metals, fine pottery clays, and high quality sands). So they head out, and make it to the capital city of Casteltun.

The group hangs out at the Pewter Palace Inn, and somehow Ulric accidentally drinks alcohol. This is a Mistake, because Ulric is a lightweight who gets startlingly good at brawling and really loud. It gets worse when he wanders off, and hears some Dwarf degrading the royal family - specifically degrading the royal women. This is also a Mistake, because Ulric was raised communally, and calls nine different women Mom.

So Ulric starts loudly telling the Dwarf to stop being such a bull headed yellow bellied sapsucker, and the Dwarf swings on him. After a short scuffle, Ulric pins the Dwarf in a head-and-beard-lock and makes him apologize to women, apologize to all of them NOW! And gets hustled off by the only woman in the bar, a red haired Gnome named Grenda.

Now you may see where this is going...

She helps him escape, and gets him to the very worried party, and she slips off into the night after speaking to Thimble and Ghrosh, while Nils and Fingers corral the now-singing Ulric into bed. He wakes the next day very confused. Everyone is even more confused when a royal guardswoman shows up to talk to them - no one had even looked funny at a guard oh wait no the dwarf Ulric whyyyyy?! But Captain Thunder brightly assures them that there's no trouble, but someone wants to talk to them about the incident - it's becoming startlingly common for strangers to come to town and try to stir up anti-non humanoid rhetoric lately, and that Dwarf was one of the culprits. So she wants to talk somewhere more private than the Inn, and vows that Ulric is NOT getting arrested for defending himself, if a bit interestingly, and Thimble sees this as a great way to make a connection, so off the party goes.

Once Ulric tells Captain Thunder what he remembers, she thanks him, but asks the party to keep an eye out - things haven't been smooth lately, and she's worried. And after a quick huddle, Nils presents the Captain with their findings, as everyone chimes in with their experiences. Captain Thunder looks them over, then makes some magic copies and asks them to meet her and some allies behind the lower quarter pub The Beer Stein the next night.

After a thankfully uneventful day of shopping and information gathering, the party gathers behind the pub, and right on time, Captain Thunder pops up - literally out of a manhole cover. Behind her are a half-elf man she introduces as the Royal Advisor Lowery, and a familiar gnome woman - the third in line to the throne, Princess Gunda. Fingers exchanges money with Thimble, who called her being a noble at least. The three exchange information with the adventurers, and Lowery brings them into a conspiracy - someone has been trying to kill King Geiron and his heir Princess Meridella. Seeing the investigative prowess (also known as accidental bumbling and guesswork proved correct by later evidence) of the adventurers, he asks them to help them save the King and kingdom.

And he'll pay them!

The adventurers agree, and are given a cover story, to get them into the castle - the royal family is always looking for new talent, and they can meet up each night at the Inn to hopefully put the pieces together. The next day, Ulric begins under the Royal Wizards; Thimble in the Music Hall, Ghrosh in the Hunter's Guild; Fingers in the Guards; and Nils in the Halls of Healing.

Ulric keeps getting assigned to Princess Gunda, apparently as hazing, but they get along really well actually! He infodumps about the legendary smith that forged her sword Whistling Doom, and she gets to talk about the pressures of nobility, and hear from someone who understands the world like her sister Gemma but has the words to explain sensory issues and overstimulation. It's nice to have someone to talk to, and Ulric keeps having Feelings. Gunda also is having Feelings. Neither of them talk about it. Thimble can taste the Yearning in the air.

But the investigation goes on, and enough solid evidence is found to implicate the underhead of the Merchant Guild, the deputy of the Guards, and a diplomat from the neighboring country of Nellingstor. The evidence is brought to his majesty, who is appalled, but the traitors strike out at the king and royal family. After a huge fight, the diplomat and Deputy are killed, and the underhead is taken into custody. However, when the King of Nellingstor is informed, he demands recompense - his son to wed the princess Gunda, unless she has a true love (for Nellingstor was founded on such things) or a large sum of money. She immediately freaks out, for she has long thought herself unloveable, and Ulric nearly has a panic attack.

And he steps up, all nerves and determination.

"I don't know what true love is. I've heard love is-is fiery passion, hot blood and searing to-touch. I've heard it's-it's at first sight, or at a tou-touch. But all I know is that the world is brighter si-since I met you, and that I look forward to seeing you every day. I hear that a loved o-one is a perfect pri-pricceless treasure, bu-but they're a person, with a-all the flaws that frame the strengths. I-I don't know what love is, but I think I'd like to-to find out with you."

The room goes silent, and Gunda goes redder than her hair. Thimble gives a low whistle of approval and the room erupts into noise. Ulric puts his head in his hands as Fingers covers the ambassadors mouth. Ghrosh calls for quiet when the king's voice goes unheard. Gunda slowly smiles.

"I think that's a wonderful idea."

The price is paid, and as Ulric and Gunda have their first official courtship meeting, Ghrosh gets a call on his Sending Stone. His son Brisbane frantically asks for help, grandpa Richard died and Aunt Kelena is sending him away-

and the call cuts.

Everyone in The Court knows that King Geiron’s advisor is the problem in the kingdom. The old Gnome would have been done away with by his peers if not for his loyal guards - especially that dratted fleabag! She’s not Court Material - too blunt, too innocent, too cheerful! It’s insane how she knows when the wine is poisoned, or where the assassin is. And then someone will be arrested! In full view of The Court! It’s scandalous!

Behind a tapestry, Thunder stifles a chuckle. The idiots in the court really think she’s a country bumpkin, when she’s been responsible for the investigations into their crimes. Just because she’s chipper doesn’t mean she doesn’t understand the convoluted laws they try to pass, even if Royal Advisor Lowery has to explain some of them. This idiot, for example, put forth a law that would ban non-human races from petitioning the King! She writes down the sedition that the racist is slinging to his mistress, and as soon as he leaves, Thunder will gladly report to Lowery, then take a shower to wash off the filth the idiot was slinging.

@hellothisisangle , thanks you for giving us the template for this! and thanks you @kawareo for giving me the idea to do this (saw your version with Strike, and I love it, so, thanks)

It's a bit of a interesting concept to make, so, when I saw this challenge, I couldn't resist, so there they are!

first of all, as you see, green and red are HUGE part of all of version of Jacq (because I love those color). the colors topical of the races are a bit off, because Bhaal know shit about them.

His background doesn't change, he is raised by a human woman and a hobgoblin for 6 years until the cult take him back. he still became a druid after the tadpole (part of my canon), but the classes before it are differents.

His personality doesn't change a lot, but there are parts of it that got more prominent depending on the race.

here we go:

Lolth-sworn Drow: (cleric of the death domain) similar to his tiefling form, he is a pretty big guy, his skin is a weird shade of green, very different from the others drows. he's a bit more calm and suave than the original version.

Forest Gnome: (ranger gloom stalker) this little guy he's the most composed of them all, and the most malicious. He is quite tall for a gnome, but all version of Jacq are quite bigger than the normal, so is to be expected.

Ghit: (monk of the way of the shadow) this little shit is sassy, and is not afraid to show it. as a ghit raised in Baldur's Gate, a lot of people were curious about him, but this version of Jacq is an isolationist, he just disappeared when people got to close (the society of brillants wanted to study him, but it didn't go well).

Human: (paladin oathbreaker) oh, he was a paladin of Bhaal, before the tadpole, and after that, without even knowing, became a oathbreaker because he is nice with people. he is like the original version, even if a bit more grumpy.

Orc: (sorcerer draconic bloodline) same as the original version, but more chill. he is a mountain of an half orc, really intimidating but nice guy inside.

High Elf: (bard of the college of swords ) ohhhh, he is charming as hell this guy, and a bit arrogant. he prefer the violin and the arp as instruments, and he is a good dancer. he is the least bigger of them all, but he is freaking tall and creepy.

Mountain Dwarf: (rogue assassin) found it funny that he is a REAL cannibal, because is a dwarf who eat others dwarfs , lol. he is a proud little guy, who stab people just because. Gale go crazy because of that.

Black and green Dragonborn: (barbarian berserker) should I explain how this motherfucker is a big intimidating machine of death ? the biggest Dragonborn in circulation, he can transform in a real dragon if he want, and he bite. it became a competition with Astarion for how many people they bite.... he is very intelligent despite been barbarian.

Final piece of gift art for the season, for my D&D group's secret santa exchange on Saturday (none of them follow me here to my knowledge, so I'm not spoiling the surprise).

The player I got for the exchange plays a druid named Al who lives down by (possibly under?) the docks in Saltmarsh, and they command a swarm of rats, whose company they enjoy more than the company of people. And yet, they're still not the most difficult member of the party to befriend.

Meet Aral-Lis the githzerai, my first monk and my first true neutral character! He’s a veeeeery curious monk who thinks he’s above everyone else, yet finds others insanely interesting.

I’ve always wanted to challenge a true neutral character because I find it very hard to role-play. A lot of my players also have the same problem with true neutrals, they tend to have less fun during RP scenes. So it’s a nice challenge 💪

-Prudencia is my main tav and good heroic paladin who romanced wyll <3

-Galathea is basically just default durge but i made her a woman, i got a run where she romanced karlach and another canon divergent where she fails the roll and kills her and her whole team so she is just with act 2/3 gang (minthara jaheira minsc and halsin) and ends up dating minthara in a enemies to lovers way where both had lose everything and were out of their own will when they did it joining forces for Revenge. (her and prudencia are the only runs i finished. yes i do more charas than play the game)

-Gith monk to date lae'zel <3 i do not have either astarion or gale in this run dfgjiogdf trying also to start like a githyanki will act and then soft along the way. let arabella die and also failed to save isobel so rip all the inn people including jaheira. thought world run kinda deal

-Six Times Stronger was supposed to be my No Sleep Mega Evil Durge run but i ended up getting an artificier mod and also toned down the evil. In the end is a "i prioritize People my size" run so sided with the goblins but also the deep gnomes. Also i am romancing minthara again cause i wanted to see if it was different if you had the goblin party (also sazza bestie)

-Friend is my mega neutral run but i just started and idk how im gonna play it or who am i going to romance, I just wanted to play a cleric of kelemvor cause they are cooool

-"Ram" rampelstinsking is the first monk i played in a multiplayer run with a friend. We play 2 siblings and mine is the rebel one and my friend plays the older responsible sibling (who is shorter uwu ) we steal everything and I my mission in that run is go to all the jails in game. Sadly is hard to coincide so thats why i later did other monks in solo runs

-Buena Suerte is another multiplayer run i have with 2 other friends where i play as the bodyguard of one of my pals, it is EXTREMELLY funny to play but sadly coinciding 3 people is even harder than 2, i miss themmmm

-Skullcrusher is a rude motherfucker but helps in the end (?) also tried the artificier mod with him. idk what im doing with him tbh i just wanted to see the duergar options in the underdark

-Gadoth is my newest one and he just exist with the sole purpose of doing a run ONLY with enchantment spells and see how i fare (he will probs die anytime i find undead) thinking if to play him solo or get like 1 companion (maybe lae'zel and hireling gith to go full githyanki)

I also have another run thats just playing as Harrowhawk Nonagesimus cleric of kelemvor + necromancer wizard my only human but i didnt put her here. She went straight to the creche and everyone died <3 but i did not draw her cause she is no oc of mine that doesnt count

Dungeon Meshi Human Interracial offspring (Mostly Spoiler Free)

As you might know, in Dungeon Meshi "human" is a term that refers to not only "tallman" (the equivalent of our world humans) but also Half-Foots, Ogres, Dwarves and Elves.

Besides the weird bone counting classification Kabru made I think one of the defining "human" aspects might be being able to have offspring with each other (unclear if that's possible at all between human and demi-human).

That said the Adventurer's Guide has some information about it that I wanted to share.

First, Humans in dungeon meshi are divided between short and long lived races, those are:

Long Lived Human Races:

Elf

Dwarf

Gnome

Short Lived Human Races:

Tallman

Half-foot

Ogre

As a general rule mixed offspring seems to be infertile but there's some exceptions.

Confirmed mixed race offspring that can leave descendants (Fertile offspring):

Tallman x Half-Foot

Tallman x Ogre

Dwarf x Gnome

An easy chart with the info! (It's not that complicated but its easier for me to see like this) (edit: added info what mixes have confirmed and speculated characters)

Seems like short-lived species can only have fertile offspring with each other and the same for long lived. Although there's no information about elves being able to have them with any other races, maybe because they live so much more than the other long-lived species (400 vs 200 & 240)

There's also no information about Ogres with Half-foot but I don't imagine the logistics to produce offspring would work there 😳

Another thing is that the Adventurer's Bible describes that the tallman have had an explosive growth due to having fertile offspring with half-foot and Ogres , so I wonder if that means their offspring are tallman too? Or are they still half-half-foot (a funny name) and half-Ogre? Unclear!

Like are Half-foots just miniature hourse versions of Tall-men? Why are Ogres miex in with them? Can a Half-foot breed with an Ogre and make a kid who can have children?
