thanks you for the question, and yes, Jacq joined a druid circle for a bit.

under the encouragement of Gortash to pursuit the things he liked, for a bit of time (a year), Jacq decide to join a Shadow druid circle of the sea. they approach was much more similar of what Jacq believed, and he did enjoy his time in there, learning their way and their magic.

But we all know that it didn't last.

in one of his Dark Urges blackout, he did massacred the entire circle, and what he felt after waking up weirded him out: he felt really conflicted and confused by not understanding if it was because he wanted to do himself the massacre, or because he didn't want to kill them.

suffice to say, this was a punishment of Bhaal, he didn't want his perfect son and best weapon to develop more of a personality than what was already there, but he was to late.

just the will to change, the choose of Jacq to be there was Bhaal greatest failure.
