I did a vine theme for pumpkin carving this year. A pumpkin pumpkin and a rose pumpkin.

I'd made a poll asking whether to do vines or draw Dan and Valerie from Danny Phantom, or both. ...And although 'vines' won, the idea of adding something Dan and Val related was too compelling. The thought of deep red roses with their thorns being like Valerie. ...And, well, I suppose Dan's like a big heavy pumpkin being thrown at stuff?

I tried making the plants wrap around an object representing them, Dan in a D shape and Valerie in a triangle shape. Though it's not very noticeable.

i'm just remembering how seeun was clinging onto hyunwoo during tricky house ep 19

if you put on a scary movie, seeun will be glued to you - indefinitely. one moment, you're cuddled with your boyfriend under some blankets, and the next, a ridiculously tall, human rucksack had spawned onto your back. when you're on the sofa, he'll wrap his arms and legs around you like an octopus, hunching to make himself smaller so he can hide behind your frame, and although he won't scream that much, he'll constantly be mumbling to himself (or you), because the sound of his own voice makes the movie seem less real.

however, that doesn't stop him from dragging you with him to the kitchen to get snacks or even to go to the bathroom - it'll be the same if you get up, too. he'll be right there beside you, one arm tight around you so you couldn't escape even if you wanted to, flinching away from the shadow of your hung up coat in the hallway. when the food you've ordered comes, he'll jump so violently at the knock on the door that you both almost crash face first into the bowl of snacks you've put together, and he refuses to let you leave him on the sofa go to get the food alone.

it takes a little getting used to, seeing as you happen to have a whole new set of limbs attached to your back, and you definitely accidentally push him into furniture as you try to navigate the house with him glued to you. if you grab the arm that he's got securely across your chest, making to remove it, he'll immediately protest.

'hey, hey, wait, what are you doing - ' 'just going to top up the snacks, seeun, don't worry - ' 'well, i'm coming with you, then.'

at some point, you'll stop watching the movie and kind of just... enjoy the way he's holding you. it's actually really nice, the way he has you cradled half on his chest, even if it's to use you as a human shield. his body is warm against your back, and the beat of his heart is steady, albeit a little fast. he stays as close to you as he can all the way until you get into bed, immediately taking up his spot behind you once you're under the covers. eventually, you turn your head and brush a soft kiss against his jaw. blinking his eyes slowly, he looks down at you, a sheepish grin on his face.

'ah, sorry, i'll just - ' 'no, no, jagi,' you hush him. 'let's stay like this a while.'
