Hankcon Bingo Interest Check (and Mod introduction!)

Greetings, everyone! My name is Hemlock (She/They) and I am the new mod for the Hankcon Bingo account! 💙

As a big Hankcon fan, I am happy to help with the running of such an important event. Though I have taken part in many fun fandom events over the years, including Hankcon ones, this is my first time taking a moderator role so please bear with me. 😅

To start things off, I hope to gauge any interest in Hankcon Bingo for this year. If anyone is interested in taking part in a Hank x Connor themed bingo (or even casual little prompt fests peppered throughout the year,) please feel free to fill in the attached interest check and share with any fellow Hankcon shippers that might be interested.

Hankcon Bingo 2023 - Creature: Dragon.

Things got a little weird here, but i like it! connor's not the most Aesthetic dragon ever, but i based him mostly off a komodo dragon and used bat wings as a ref for his dragon wings. i like to think this au would be like: a dragon keeps popping up in nearby kingdoms bc he's curious about humans and wants to find a home to live. no knight can catch the dragon and kill it bc it seems to disappear into thin air every time. in reality, connor's practicing transforming into a human in each town and learning to blend in as he scopes the place out, dissatisfied for one reason or another, before transforming into a dragon again and moving onto a new place. and eventually, he seems to settle into hank's kingdom. hank used to be a fantastic, happy and accomplished king, but now he's cynical and jaded, many years after the death of his only son, prince cole. the dragon lands in his kingdom and doesn't seem to want to leave, so he offers himself as a sacrifice to it without knowing what connor's like or what he wants. maybe hank hopes to be eaten by the dragon, but the way he phrases it is something like "i give my life to you" and connor's like, "!!! bonding?? MARRIAGE?? :D A HUMAN KING AND ME? i'll get to know what humans are like in this nice kingdom! yippee!!" and hank's like "ah shit- that's not what i meant!", but they're bound by magic at this point. and then connor transforms into his best approximation of himself as a human and hank's endeared to this strange fella who still struggles to keep his form human. and u can easily imagine the angst of dragon hunters chasing connor down too and hank having to show everyone why he was once considered one of the best kings

I went with something simple for this first drawing ^^  Hank as a rockstar and Connor being a fan meeting him in the Greenroom (Is Connor his husband AND biggest fan ?! I'll let you decide~ 😊)

Hank tugged at his jacket. He resisted the urge to tug at the belt of the pants and try to cinch in the swell of his stomach. He'd tried to tie his hair back again, but it had taken Tina and approximately three million little brown hair grips to keep it back last time. He'd been picking them out of his hair for two day after the auction.

Connor wanted to go on a date with him. The thought still made his throat dry out. He liked Connor, but he hadn't figured that Connor liked him, at least not that way. They'd been friends since the revolution, and Hank had been Connor's sounding board when he'd started on the campaign trail with Markus, and Connor had been his as he'd stumbled his way through another Christmas without Cole, and then Easter, and....

Connor wanted to go on a date with him. The world had spun like a ballerina and Hank was still trying to figure out which way he was facing.

He tugged at the jacket again. The Whitney was a fancy place Hank had never been to. He hadn't bothered to look too hard into the date he'd been given to auction away. There hadn't seemed any point. No one would be spending crazy money to take him there. He'd expected it to be bought by Fowler, or maybe Chris if he wanted to treat his wife to an adults' night.

The place had a dress code. And a menu with prices that made Hank's eyes water, although not as much as the price Connor had paid out to take him to it. In Hank's view a ninety dollar steak was only gonna be worth it if the damn thing took him home and gave him a blowjob after.

He tried not to think about Connor taking him home and doing that instead. It was just a date. He didn't even know if Connor was interested in that. The contents of Connor's shorts hadn't come up in the past year, figuratively or literally. Romantic entanglements hadn't been Connor's jam, or at least talking about them with Hank hadn't been.

Connor doesn't know. He doesn't fucking know. All he wanted was a piercing and now...

Her full lips lift into a grin. Connor notices a tiny sparkling stone in the centre of her nose ring. A septum, he knows. A blue butterfly tattoo is also visible on her left collarbone. "Don't worry, Terminator. You're not the only one shitting his pants." Almost encouragingly, she pats his shoulder, making Connor wince in surprise. Not much, but enough to betray him. "I'm not shitting my-" "Suuuure. But you're lucky. Hank knows what he's doing. Mostly." Mostly?! Sweat starts to pool under Connor's armpits. His eyebrows rise in irritation, but before he has a chance to ask any more questions, North pushes him gently but firmly over the threshold and deeper into the studio.
