Season of love [Nanami x reader]
just a little drabble i am not too glad about.
rimjhim gire sawan was the inspo. i headcanon nanami is a kishore kumar enthusiast.
Tumblr media
He loved the monsoon, perhaps added the soothing he craved, from nature herself. The sound of the raindrops filled the empty office as he worked overtime. The light from the screen highlighting his eyebags, the rainfall making it a tiny bit bearable.
He slowly walked towards the bus stop, he had about 15 mins left until his bus arrived. The blue umbrella covering him as he almost fainted from the tiredness. He looked straight at the bus stop to see it empty, probably because it was late. As he entered and sat, he heard footsteps from his right. When he looked there, he felt something different. A girl running towards the stop, totally drenched with a bag over her head which is like contributing nothing to protect her from the rain. Just this small thing made him genuinely smile in weeks, just for a second though.
He saw the unknown woman sit on the bench, totally not trying to look at her. Okay fine, but only a side eye. If anyone saw the scenery, they would think Nanami is quite a judgmental guy.
But in his eyes, he was star struck by the beauty of yours. How could someone look so beautiful just existing? It wasn't love at first sight but there was just something different about her.
He boarded the bus alone, feeling somewhat happy to go back to his home. And as the bus departs, his eyes met hers for the first time.
The overtimes became regular, he was pissed but didn't say anything as that might add to his wallet. One thing that this stress made sure was seeing you every time at that bus stop. At this point, even tho you two haven't interacted at all but not seeing each other at the bus stop, sitting at the two opposite ends of the bench felt weird, sometimes others accompanied you, somedays it was just you two. He always left before you and couldn’t help but feel a weird sense of euphoria everytime you flash him a small smile when the bus leaves.
You sat there, a little worried as your phone died. And you needed to call your mom. Sitting on the bench, your legs tapping the floor anxiously. Suddenly you hear a deep voice from your left. The blonde man you had a little crush on talked to you for the first time. Your heart was beating so damn hard.
"Hey... If you want you could use my phone, you know." he said, sounding a bit tired. Your eyes widened and you thanked him taking his phone.
Just after a few minutes later, his bus came and he boarded it. But he turned around and looked at you. He gulped and said, "You know maybe we could exchange our numbers? If you want?" You almost choked on your saliva, no way such a handsome guy asked for your number. You two exchanged your numbers. Maybe this was the reason poets and artists romanticised monsoon so much.

The Yoga of Happiness and Bliss - Light On Ananda Yoga - Spiritual Awakening Radio Podcast
Tumblr media
Sant Kirpal Singh: "There lived in India Swami Shiv Brat Lal, a disciple of Rai Saligram [successor of Swami Ji Maharaj], who was advanced in spirituality but he gave out all these things about which I am now referring, in story form. He would bring out these very teachings of the Master in some novel like form in the Urdu language, of course, not in English. He did a splendid work, having brought out two, three thousand books, I think. Somewhere he takes the soul as a prince so that he may bring out a story with all these teachings given here. He did a very wonderful work. He has now passed away. He loved me much. I loved him too. He loved Master too [Hazur Baba Sawan Singh]. In all love, you see, he wrote many stories like that. Novels -- very interesting -- in which all these teachings of the Saints were included -- given out. That will draw many people to the Truth." (The Light of Kirpal, Sant Bani Books)
Today, a Sant Mat Satsang Podcast featuring readings from a rare Radhasoami (Radhaswami) spiritual classic, Light on Ananda Yoga - The Yoga of Happiness, by Baba Faqir Chand's spiritual master Shiv Brat Lal (also known as Sant Daata Dayal Ji). Light On Ananda Yoga, was published in English in 1982 by Sant Bani Ashram with some editing guidance from my good friend Steve Morrow. "Ananda" means bliss and happiness and is Shiv Bral Lal's description of Surat Shabd Yoga: the bhakti (love) of inner Light and Sound Meditation, the spiritual practice (sadhana) of Sant Mat, also known as the Radhaswami Faith.

PRAYER
O August Radhaswami (Lord of the Soul),
Thou Living Self and Living Master,
Beneficent Father and Mother of All!
Be merciful – make us Thine own,
And thus save us from the snares of Time.
Past are the Golden Age and others,
Unknowing of the Heavenly Melody proper,
Yet now art Thou Merciful, in this hard Dark Age,
To chant in loud and lucid strains, the Sacred Word,
O Lord, having descended into this plane below,
Helpest Thou the living entities,
To span the Worldly-Ocean across;
To cast off the Trinity, and reach the Fourth Abode,
Whence the Living Name unfolds,
And the Living Mastership.
Bathed in Glory and Effulgent Light,
Thy servant tenders this Solemn Petition:
Grant us even The Regionless Region,
The Chief Abode, the Sphere of Bliss,
The Holy Refuge at Thy Feet,
MY LORD!
– A Prayer of Sant Daata Dayal Ji (Shiv Brat Lal) of the Radhasoami Faith
In Divine Love (Bhakti), Light, and Sound, At the Feet of the Masters, Radhasoami,

Freed Palestinian prisoner diagnosed with cancer says ‘happy’ to be home
“Nehaya Khader Sawan is among the first batch of Palestinian prisoners who were released a short while ago from Ofer Prison.
A cancer patient, Sawan told Al Jazeera that while she was “exhausted”, she was happy to be home.
Her niece said Sawan was unable to continue speaking and needed to rest; she said her aunt was disoriented all day as she had “no idea where she was going” to be released, or when.
“She cannot speak [like she used to]. She is a cancer patient and in detention, her condition deteriorated,” her niece told Al Jazeera.
Sawan was diagnosed years before her arrest, her niece added. She was sentenced to 44 months in prison in August 2021.
“When we saw her we were happy, but we were also pained to see her [deteriorating] health condition,” her niece said. “We quickly realised that my aunt who went to prison, is not the same person who came out.””

Fast story of Putrada Ekadashi
Lord Krishna himself had told the importance of Putrada Ekadashi to Dharmaraj Yudhishthir. According to the legend, in a city, there lived a king named Suketuman, whose wife's name was Shaivya. The king and queen had no children, about which he was always worried. He was always worried about who would take over his throne after that who would perform his last rites, Shraddha, Pind Daan, etc. after his death who would liberate him, and who would satisfy his ancestors. Just thinking about all this, the king started falling ill.
Once the king went out to visit the forest and started seeing the beauty of nature, there he saw how deer, peacocks, and other animals and birds were enjoying life with their wives and children. Seeing this he became even more disturbed. He started thinking that despite doing so many good deeds, I was childless. Then the king felt thirsty and started wandering here and there in search of water. While wandering, his eyes fell on the hermitage of sages built on the banks of a river. Being a devotee, the king went there and paid obeisance to all the sages. Seeing the simple nature of the king, all the sages were extremely pleased with him and asked him to ask for a boon. To which the king replied, “O God! By the grace of God and you Saint Mahatmas, I have everything, only I have no children, due to which my life is meaningless.”
Hearing this the sage said, “King! God himself has sent you here today with a special blessing on you. Today is Putrada Ekadashi and you should fast on this Ekadashi with full devotion. By doing this you will get a son. Hearing this from the sage, the king observed that fast and according to the rules Break the fast on the day of Dashashi. After a few days, the queen became pregnant and gave birth to a bright and successful son and finally, the king attained salvation. In this way the importance of this fast increased manifold.

We may find ourselves beginning our spiritual search with only questions, and not have anyone able to answer them. Or we may notice lots of religious or spiritual voices out there pretending to have the answers, and not believing them, not trusting them to be Sure Guides, Sources of Genuine Wisdom, Competent, Honorable Masters, Qualified Teachers. "Cut off have been My people for lack of knowledge." (Hosea 4:6)
We may have had some spiritual experiences such as seeing inner light, colors, stars, or a bright light, or in the silence hearing a kind of sound of the silence ringing in the distance, or perhaps we have memories of such experiences when we were children, maybe at a very young age. If we remember these experiences and ask some religious authority, usually they will look at us funny, tell us, "It was nothing", dismiss our question and tell us to move along. We may walk away feeling like a heretic or weirdo, and for sure are not getting our questions addressed at all in those places.
But instead of having our curiosity crushed by the Negative Powers That Be, telling us to go back to sleep, to forget, WHAT IF INSTEAD we  learn of someone who would be happy to answer our questions, is able to answer our questions, is conversant with Inner Experiences and Inner Space, and could introduce us to new dimensions, new possibilities, whole new worlds?
