Do you ever consider just deleting all of your socials?

I just feel like I can't relate anymore to so many people on social media. So much of it is just so incredibly fake to me. You get the feeling that people put up this shiny, glossy version of their character just so they can fit in with 'the good crowd'.

For me Tumblr used to be one of the last places where, aside from the occasional hater post, I could just go to as an escape to just enjoy fun F1 content with like minded people. But unfortunately I don't feel that way anymore. It's pretty much joined the ranks of any other toxic social media platform for me.

I pretty much think daily about just deleting everything and living life without social media. It sounds very liberating.

The only thing stopping me at this moment is that I just don't want to miss out on cute Max content. And I do enjoy sharing the excitement after a win for example. The thought of letting that go genuinely makes me sad. But on the other hand I don't know if it's worth the frustration I experience on a daily basis seeing so much BS.

I don't do much backstory tbh, I have some worldbuilding and what they do in that world I guess, some things of them, but not like, all their life... And I have a loooot of OCs so I'm not sure who should I show as an Example 🤔

i’m a little over 600 episodes into one piece and i’m seriously debating if i should switch to reading the manga. i love it, but the pacing is so atrocious that sometimes i feel like i’m rotting away as i watch it. but there’s also a part of me that’s so used to it that i know it’s going to take a while for me to adjust to the manga (+ i’m not a big manga reader anyways). i know i’m going to start reading it at some point because i eventually want to be fully caught up, but i’m not sure if it’s the right move for me right now.. think i’ll read the manga for the rest of punk hazard (where i’m at) and see how i feel from there

Yeah, San Diego Comic-Con is going to be weird this year, with the WGA and SAG-AFTRA unions on strike.

But you know who is not on strike? Comic book writers / artists / makers. Comic book editors and publishers. Writers of novels and short stories. Journalists. Cosplayers. Experts in fields ranging from astronomy to psychology to botany. Exhibitors. Game designers. Librarians. Academics. Artists. Fans.

Yes, some of these people may also be union members and be on strike.

Will I miss seeing panels that feature the cast of a show or movie I love? Yes. Will I miss panels that feature the writers of shows and movies I love? Hell yes. Will I miss panels about being a working voice actor / cast and crew reunions / seemingly random group of people chatting about non-IP related topics? Fuck yes. (Though a few of these might still happen.)

I don’t envy the professional writers and actors who have to decide whether they want to attend the con as fans or exhibitors. I feel bad for the actors who attend to sell their autographs; I imagine SDCC is one of their major money-makers.

I’m kind of looking forward to experiencing the weird vibes.
