Picasso said that painting is a way of keeping a diary. The Blue Book is an example of such a diary. A diary, both in words and images, tells us that we can keep in sight the daily sublime. All we need to do is pay attention, with an equal eye, to everything around us. Beauty exists only if you notice it. Don't let your life pass unnoticed. Best Intentions is interesting and gripping contemporary that revolves around Gayatri and Akshay’s family and their growing bond with their increasing family issues that turn their dislike for each other to love. The story is about Indian politics, culture, family pressure and expectations, problems in marriage, love, prejudice, family drama, trust, and betrayal. The story is written in third-person narrative that switches fast between Gayatri, Akshay, Neelam, and Vikram but mainly follows Gayatri and Akshay. The setting of Delhi adds its own flavor to the story. There is lot going on at the same time but the main focus was on Gayatri and Vikram’s meetings, Vikram’s agenda, problems in Nandini and Amar’s marriage, and how Gayatri and Akshay’s view towards each other slowly change as they meet more for threats Gayatri is receiving at workplace and Nandini and Amar’s marriage issues. There are many characters and they all are realistic, some relatable, and intricately connected with each other. There is surprisingly more focus on Nandini and Amar’s marriage issues, politics, and power game than Gayatri and Akshay. It also gives lot do discuss in the book with many layers and themes making a simple looking story a little complicated. This is hate to love romance but that is sidetracked by themes and layers so I wouldn’t say romance is big part of the story. I wish Akshay and Gayatri had more chapters together. Why 4 stars- Like I said there isn’t many chapters with Akshay and Gayatri together. Even that Vikram got more space with Gayatri than Akshay. I would have liked more focus on them and would have liked to see how they convinced their family in the end. Overall, Best Intentions is captivating, dramatic, fast-paced and well written contemporary with many layers and themes. 🅱🅾🅾🅺 🆁🅴🆅🅸🅴🆆: 𝙏𝙝𝙚 𝘾𝙚𝙡𝙡𝙞𝙨𝙩 Author: Daniel Silva Ratings: ⭐⭐⭐⭐/5 This is the 21st book in the Gabriel Allon series but it can be read as a standalone as the author provide the necessary backstory and all the characters from previous books are reintroduced so that readers can connect to the story. This story is about Russia's campaign to undermine and defeat democracy in western Europe and the US through various conspiracies. The story starts with the death of the wealthy Russian dissident Victor Orlov in his London home by exposure to a nerve agent which was transferred to him via some documents apparently brought by a journalist who is suspected to be working with Russians. And Gabriel Allon, who owes his life to Orlov for his own team to unsolve the mystery behind Orlov's death. The author's knack for storytelling is amazing and the characters are portrayed really well. I really liked the Cellist's role and her strong character. The author has mixed some of the recent events and things like money laundering, covid, international espionage etc into the story brilliantly. Some of the scenes had me on the edge of my seat. Even though this was my first book from this series I had no difficulty grasping the story. The plot was very intriguing with amazing twists and turns. Overall it was a very captivating story. Can't wait to read more of this author's books. I recommend this to everyone. #bookreview #thecellist #harpercollinsindia #danielsilva #danielsilvabooks #harpercollins #bookstagram #bookstagrammer #bookstagramfeatures #bookstagramfeaturesonly #bookishladiesclub #bookstadigitalreads #bookstadigitaltbr #booksofinstagram #authorsofinstagram #thriller #mystery #suspense #crimethriller #spy #spyfiction #bookstagramengagement https://www.instagram.com/p/CStmaPeBIVt/?utm_medium=tumblr

First, I pre-order a copy when I get his mail, get super excited about getting it, then thanks to the pandemic, things changed. So, I waited, hoping his team will figure things out soon. Finally, this morning it arrived, even though I was still sleeping and it was my mom that received it.🙇🏻‍♀️ Should I wait to finish my current reading pile and then start on this book? After all that waiting and hype( come on) so, I just began reading it.😉 I finished the Introduction(small steps) and all I could hear is @jayshetty voice in my head while I was reading it the entire time. Where did my reading mind-voice go?🕵🏻 Anyways, let the journey begin! #thinklikeamonk #trainyourmindforpeaceandpurposeveryday #jayshetty #positivity #power #selflove #selfdiscovery #love #compassion #lovingkindness #purpose #harperathome #bookstagram #reading #bookstagramindia #hapercollins #harpercollinsindia #letthejourneybegin (at Bangalore, India) https://www.instagram.com/p/CE_cuVWF7GJtlL1MmKxpRyZbRRSHKx0cdf17SE0/?igshid=1umrdppcnlnpx

Narasimha by Kevin Missal (The Mahaavatar Trilogy Book 1) . . . 📚📃📖 Book Review 📖📃📚 . Narasimha is first of ‘The Mahaavatar Trilogy’, the reimagining of mythological tale about Lord Narasimha, fourth Avatar of Lord Vishnu. Narasimha is written in third-person narrative, where chapters are narrated through different POV characters. The thoughts of particular characters are presented in each chapter. The story starts with prologue, where POV character is Kayadhu, Hiranyakashyap’s wife. Hiranyakashyap is ruler of the Asura Empire. The writing style is simple yet gripping. . The story was very unpredictable and bit slow at first until Holika made her first appearance. Then it started to build speed and remained steady but was still unpredictable. The story then accelerated when Hiranya discovers about Brahmashastra but it still remained unpredictable despite the fact that we all know this tale since childhood. The character arcs are very dynamic, be it Holika or Prahlad. Each supporting character contributes in the storyline. The conception of weapons and the stones that fuels them, like any other modern fiction but is meaningful for the future of story. Romance is the inevitable part of the storyline and gives the very reason for the succeeding plot. The end is satisfying and I am already waiting for the sequel. . Final words. This book is an epic in the true sense for author has mind-blowingly written providing multi perspective view of ancient epic, makes it more realistic and more stimulating. . 🔗🔗 Check out the full Review on my Blog: Link in Bio 🔗🔗 . . . #bookaddict #bookstagram #bookish #booksofinstagram #booktube #bookclub #bookmail #narasimhabykevinmissal #narasimha #kevinmissal #harpercollinsindia #indianmythology #mythologicalfiction #fantasy #readers #peace #dhirajsindhi #bingebawse #readersofig #instagood #bookphotography #bookobsessed #bookreview #bookblogging #bookblogger #bookreviewers #prahlad (at Gulf of Cambay) https://www.instagram.com/p/BzI_Hd3F2br/?igshid=11v2l5ni1x7md

Many thanks to @blogchatter and @harpercollinsin for review copy. The Magic Mindset: How to Find Your Happy Place by Preeti Shenoy ⭐⭐⭐⭐ (4/5) The Magic Mindset is self-help book about healthy and positive mindset and attitude towards different situations of life that help in dealing with problems we face not by looking at bright side but by accepting feelings, having positive attitude and hope, and how to change our outlook to keep hope. The best part of the book is the activities in each chapter. There is also 14 days challenge at the end of the book with activities to do daily and table to write our feelings after finishing the exercises. Another good thing, this can be read out of order. You can pick any chapter at any time and never feel you missed anything in the previous chapters as each chapter deals with different topics like– relationships, social media, money, health, education, family, past unpleasant memories, out of control situations, saying no, and other people’s actions that affect us. You can pick the topic you’re not happy about in life and read it first or any time in life. Why 4 stars- I really liked the book and some aspects but some points aren’t new or I haven’t known before and so this served as reminder for me. I might have found this more helpful when I was young as this is like a guide. Overall, The Magic Mindset is inspiring, motivating, relatable, and well-written self-help covering many topics and life situations with many tips and suggestions. QOTD - Which is your favorite self-help book? If you don’t read one what would you like to change in life or nature? 🅱🅾🅾🅺 🆁🅴🆅🅸🅴🆆: 𝙏𝙝𝙚 𝙍𝙚𝙖𝙙𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙇𝙞𝙨𝙩 Author: Sara Nisha Adams Ratings: ⭐⭐⭐⭐/5 Mukesh, a widower is still grieving his wife's death and is trying very hard to come close to his granddaughter Priya who is a bookworm just like his wife. Aleisha, a bright young teenager who hates reading books since childhood is now working in a local library which she hates too. Mukesh finds a book under his bed which his wife had borrowed from the library and decides to return it and at the same time try to understand more about books so that he can develop a close connection with his granddaughter and asks Aleisha for suggestions. But Aleisha who has not read a single novel in her life doesn't respond quite well initially. But when she stumbles upon a piece of paper that has a list of novels that she has not read or heard of before, she grows a little intrigued and decides to read each and every book in the same order and also suggests the same to Mukesh after reading it. Little did they know that reading these books will change their perspectives about life and also each other's relationships. A fantastic debut that will connect with all those who loves books. It shows the power of reading and how it can alter our lives completely and the way we think and responds to situations, the wisdom it imparts on us and so on. A very enthralling read that with a very engaging plot and some amazing selection of books to discuss. The author has summarised each of the books so brilliantly that if you haven't read those books yet you will definitely feel an urge to read them as soon as you finish reading this. I recommend it to all the book worms out there. I thoroughly enjoyed reading this one. #bookreview #bookstagram #harpercollinsindia #thereadinglist #saranishaadams #fiction #booklove #bookstagramfeatures #bookstagramfeaturesonly #bookstagramengagement #indianauthors #booksofinstagram #authorsof#readersofig #reviewersofinstagram #ReviewerPartner https://www.instagram.com/p/CSLkkwMrsUf/?utm_medium=tumblr

“Don’t You Forget About Me” 💖 ~ By Mhairi Mcfarlane ~ A cute, strong, hilarious rom-com. 🥰 ~ This story is about Georgina Horspool, a 30 year old, aspiring writer but at present a waitress, sacked from her job then finding her comedian boyfriend in bed with his PA. Georgina is then offered a job only to find out her new boss is Lucas McCarthy, her first love from school. This could be anyone’s worst nightmare but what’s worse is that Lucas doesn’t remember Georgina. The story then unfolds into Georgina’s life. ~ I quite enjoyed this book, it’s a light, fun read. I love Mhairi’s ability to bring characters to life. Georgina is so relatable, she wants to follow her dreams, as well as hold her family, personal and social life together to drive out a balance amongst all. I loved the character of Lucas as well, and I cannot fail to mention how much I loved Keith and Lucas’s love for Keith. 🐶🐾💕 ~ If you’re looking for a fun read, this book is great although I’m a bit disappointed from the romance point of view. I’d rate it a 3.9/5. ⭐️ PS: This is Heidi, my adopted stray, she’s quite expressive every time I leave my house 💁‍♀️💖 #mhairimcfarlane #harpercollinsindia #dontyouforgetaboutme #dogsofinstagram #bookstagram #mhairimcfarlanebooks #harpercollins #doglife #dogoftheday #bookstagrammer #bookreview #wednesdaywisdom #romcombooks #romancebooks https://www.instagram.com/p/CIAyYVTLoDg/?igshid=1qxuit7iqfl2j
