September's full moon will put on quite the show on the evening of Sept. 17. Not only are we treated to a slightly larger-than-average "supermoon" but also a partial lunar eclipse.

Summer 28th of Year 1

Greetings earthlings,

I watched The Queen of Sauce to start my day. I learned to make bread.

I checked my mail. Demetrius wanted to inform me about the Dance of the Moonlight Jellies.

I sold all the summer forage I saved. I harvested my crops. I petted my chickens, collected their eggs, and opened their coop. I petted Stellara and filled her water bowl. I placed the eggs in the mayo makers. I collected mushrooms from the cave.

I took Demetrius a melon. I took a red mushroom and a cave carrot to the Community Center. I donated a prehistoric handaxe to museum. I worked on the tree farm until it was time for the festival.

I made my way to the beach. I spoke to everyone there. Pierre was promoting his store by ‘reminding’ me to buy my Fall seeds there tomorrow. The Wizard mentioned the magic aura that radiates from the jellyfish. I could sense the aura too. The jellies are imbued with moon magic. I found it quite intriguing.

I'm trying to make a HM/SOS timeline and I am losing my mind

Okay I need to info-dump around my headcanons for my Harvest Moon/Story of Seasons timeline. This is MY headcanon, and any headcanon you have is completely valid! And if there is anything I say that is contradicted in any of the games, please let me know so I can adjust my headcanons, lol!

So! I have a working theory that there is more than one world in the timeline, and multiple games take place in each world.

World 1:

HM SNES

~Decades later, as 64 Pete is the grandson of SNES Pete

HM TOT

HM 64 (takes place 1-2 years after TOT, since Elli and Gray need to return to Flowerbud Village)

~100 years later 

HM AP

So I imagine that the Waffle Island that you send your kid to in AP would be an AU Waffle Island that runs parallel to this world, but is NOT the one we play in TOT.

World 2: 

HM FOMT/MFOMT

HM AWL

Maybe HM MM takes place after year 1 of AWL, since Nami is in the game, and it would explain her leaving in AWL if you don’t marry her.

HM IOH (1-2 years after FOMT, since Karen and Rick are canonically married)

Some notes

Games I have no idea what to do with: HM STH and HOLV. Haven’t played these games. I don’t think they would be in World 1 or 2, and may be in their own world. 

I think HM IOH and SI would take place in world 2. IOH would take place around the time of FOMT and AWL, while SI could take place around DS. I believe they would have to be in world 2 since the mineral town villagers visit. 

HM ANB, SOS, and SOS 3OT AT LEAST are all connected because of the SOS POOT DLC. Because 2 HM TOTT characters appear in SOS, that also connects TOTT to these games. AND HM Grand Bazaar because Dirk from GB is in TOTT. AND PIERRE FROM THE IOH AND SI IS IN TOTT SO THAT CONNECTS ONE OF THOSE GAMES TO THOSE GOD DAMMIT THIS IS SO CONFUSING

I made it so that SI Pierre is the Pierre that appears in TOTT because I like the idea of POOT taking place later in the timeline, so that’s why it takes place a little bit after SI

More games I haven’t played so I don’t really know where they would go, or care honestly, lol: All the game boy games, and BTN. Sorry to any fans of these games, but I have lost my fucking mind and dealing with all the other games has made me lose my sanity. Anyone that has played these games, go ahead and tell me where you would put them, if you want to.

Anyways, that is all I have figured out so far. I lowkey want to bash my head into a wall, but if anyone has some corrections or anything to add, please feel free to do so, because this game series is a very hard one to make a timeline out of lmao 🫠

Agree with your Harvest Moon post for the most part but I wouldn't say the game is "for children." It's for all ages, like Mario and Pokémon are, which is why most of the games do have something of a variety when it comes to marriage candidates ("younger" ones like Hiro or Luna and "older" like Klaus and Iris). Idk maybe you didn't mean it in the way of "It's for children SPECIFICALLY" but it came off a little like that.

That being said people think too long and hard about the marriage candidates and their "childish" designs. Like damn what if I just think (to use aforementioned Pierre as an example) Pierre and Chelsea look cute as a couple together lol it's not that deep. And if people don't like a certain candidate (for that or ant reason) they can just ignore them? Most of the games have pretty specific requirements for heart events that it's easy to avoid characters you don't wanna Romance so idk why people act like the games force you into romances or w/e.

!!! i definitely didn’t mean it that way ashsjsjd my bad if it came off as too firm😭 the games are totally for all ages, but the fact that kids are included in that demographic is a really big factor people need to consider, as opposed to a game like rune factory which is marketed at teen and above audiences. especially because a lot of people ARE introduced to the series in their childhood, i think people just in general tend to forget that there are a TON of different people playing these games, which is why sometimes there ARE candidates who seem younger or older and just because they arent everyone’s personal taste doesnt make it morally wrong!!! in general. yeah people think WAY too hard about it, if the characters can get married, they’re all adults, it’s literally not that deep😭

☘ - Which game was the most fun in your opinion?

For me personally, I think the gameplay I enjoy most is Harvest Moon DS / DS Cute. I can play that game for hours upon hours!

I think all the games are fun, of course, but I really like the way DS uses its main quest - I like collecting the sprites by doing various tasks. My only complaint is that for 100% completion, some of the requirements are a bit TOO out there! Still, I have very fond memories of this one.

Magical Melody has a similar gameplay feature, collecting notes, which I also enjoy. I think that level of collection is more manageable, but I still think DS is 'the most fun'. This is actually different to my all-time favourite, Animal Parade, because while I prefer the game's features overall I think the 'funness' of the quests could be streamlined a bit.

💍 - First bachelor/ette you married?

OK but now that SNES has come to Nintendo Online I'm definitely going to be marrying her again. I've married Eve and Nina on other playthroughs, and I'd like to marry Ellen and Ann sometime, but I keep going back to Maria because she's my favourite. She's a bit different in Magical Melody though, I've not married her in that...

SNES must have been an early time for videogames, because never again has a character bold facedly asked me if I believed in God as a Yes/No prompt.

If I try to cast my mind back, I think the first bachelor I married was probably ... Pierre? I didn't play Mineral Town until much later, and the only way I could play DS Cute for ages was on emulator. It would've been Carl if I had the means, I still tried to propose to him as a dude :(

Harvest Moon DS Cute

Commentary- I never actually played this game. I asked for it but my brother got me "Harvest Moon DS" instead, but SKYE is the reason I started playing harvest moon! When I was little I was trying to find games where I could marry and start a family. I found skye and I was swooning instantly! Now that I'm older, im too scared to buy and play the game because what if my fantasy of the guy who started my love of the series doesnt come close to who he actually is?

Harvest Moon : Sunshine Islands

Commentary- THIS was my first harvest moon game! As for Will, I cant remember exactly why I chose him since it was so long ago. Maybe I thought he was cute, I didnt like the other candidates or that I thought marrying him would help my income on the farm (Which it didnt!) But it doesnt change the fact that he'll always have a special place in my heart for being my first Harvest moon husband! I still do think he's a cutie to this day.

Who I thought i would marry - Pierre! I was on the road to him until Will came at the last minute! Lol

Child name- Maulina. I remember before the kid was born, i named my cow malina and i liked the name but i didnt want to name my child after a cow so i spelled it differently. I also remember seeing a "leak" of the child portraits, with will's kid having blonde hair and blue eyes and I thought the name was fitting for that design. I later found out that was not infact an official leak 😅

Harvest Moon : A New Beginning

Commentary - I had no patience to wait for all the bachelors to show up in this game so I regretfully rushed and married the first person that came, Neil. I was never a fan of his tsundere personality but his nervous face did make me smile after the marriage every now and then.

Who I thought I would marry/ Runner up - I remember dating allen in this game but I thought his personality was so horrible after a while I deleted the save file. I do wish I had took the time to get to know Sanjay. Thinking back on it, I couldve possibly liked him if I had talked to hime more.

Child name- I think it was Sage but im not 100% sure...

Story of Seasons

Commentary- My FAVORITE game of the series with my most FAVORITE bachelor! Mistel! His personality got me immediately! I was always caught off guard by him and blushing. Needless to say he's my number 1. With Nadi an extremely close runner up! I actually chose the picture of him that made me like him. The first time I ever saw that smirk, I had an instant crush.

Child name- Surprisingly I never married! It came out when I was in high school and I got too busy but I do sorta remember the names I was going to use! There was 4 names in total since this game gives you twins but I only remember "Drossel and Verona". I guess the art design made me feel like these names were fitting for this game. I also remember wanting to give Nadi's kids a plant based name.

Story of Seasons : Trio of Towns

Commentary- I liked Inari's ears and im a sucker for white hair. Other than that, I just wasnt a fan of any of the other bachelors

Runner up- If Inari didnt exist then I would had chosen Hinata, I like positive energetic characters.

Commentary - Kai! I LOVE Kai! I hate putting my favorites in competitions with eachother but Kai is DEFINITELY in my top 3. He's so charming, smooth, funny and charismatic! How could I NOT like him? He's made me blush a few times too. Not to mention we both have the same favorite food!

Runner up- If Kai never showed up, I probably would have gone after Cliff, It made me sad that he came with no family, I wanted to help him go from nothing to a new found expanding family!

Child name- No child name! I got too busy with school again to marry him sadly! Plus I never thought of a name for our future kids.

Story of Seasons : Pioneers of Olive Town

Commentary- Not too much to say here. I liked Jack's normal personality, his events were cute AND he's not too bad looking himself. I never finished the game far enough to marry him.

Runner up- Ralph. I had a hard time deciding between the two. Ralph's events were pretty cute plus I liked his personality.

Rune Factory 4

Commentary- Doug! I didnt expect to like him but I was so caught off guard the first time I saw his introduction! I was like "Woah! Whos that!" He had instantly piqued my interest after that!

Runner up- I remember I had accidentally asked Dylas out in one of my other files. I had no interest in him but seeing that he liked me made me see him differently. I also had another file where I had planned dating Leon but I lost interest in that

Who I thought I would end up with- Before the game came out I looked at everyones Bio and thought I would fall for Vishnal! His design was cute and his personality seemed nice on paper but once I started playing I lost interest fast lol.

"Harvest Moon" : One World

Commentary - Jamil had the best 1st love event to pull me in. It showed how compassionate and caring he is and has to be one of my favorite events I've seen. It had me thinking about him hard enough to leave an impression on me!

Runner up- Sami. I did marry him but Jamil stole my heart.

Who I thought I would marry- Everyone except Braden

Commentary- Muffy is DROP DEAD GORGEOUS! And has such a cute personality! I could never understand how she had romance troubles. If she were real I'd snatch her up in a heartbeat! As for Leia, Her sweet pwrsonality and cute looks got me too. Sadly, all my hard work went in vain as my save file corrupted and I was never able to marry in the game.

Commentary- I never really had a thing for Lily, she was more of an "If I had to choose" option because I find her pretty.

Commentary- I feel like If I could, I could write a whole essay about Tina. Im surprised that she's so underrated when she literally started my awakening! Everything about her is so perfect! She made me realize Im a sucker for short hair and her peppy outlook on life and energy made me feel so refreshed. Infact the first thing she ever told me that made my heart flutter was "Let's seize the day!" and she had the cutest little smile. For some reason that moment was a core memory. I just think she's best girl. I started a new save file just for her and Ive never done that before!

Child name- We never married but I had planned on naming our daughter "Tharja" for some reason.

Commentary- Xiao Pai is just cute! I think I liked her mom more though lol.

started over my main save for sunshine islands cuz its been a while. kinda related to frantic farming since it uses the characters from islands of happiness/sunshine islands.

changed the character hitomi, will probably still be marrying pierre (mini gourmet) °7°;;

it occurred to me this the only random hito (oc) ship that could involve them being a chef in doodles.. hito is a chef… i don’t think this has really come up outside of character notes (not shared)

puyo fever 2 did not work.. but puyo 7 and frantic farming both work so record for random games from ebay is still mostly positive for me (lmao)

L'intrigue de Stardew Valley raconte l'histoire d'un jeune homme qui mène une vie normale en tant qu'employé d'une grande entreprise. Dans le passé, il a reçu une enveloppe mystérieuse de son grand-père, avec la recommandation de ne l'ouvrir que lorsqu'il sentira que sa vie est devenue monotone et qu'elle ne lui apporte plus de bonheur. Décidant que ce moment vient d'arriver, notre protagoniste l'ouvre et apprend qu'il a reçu un héritage de son grand-père sous la forme d'une petite ferme située quelque part à l'extérieur de la ville. Sans réfléchir, l'homme abandonne son ancienne vie et son travail ennuyeux pour relever un tout nouveau défi. Cependant, lorsqu'il arrive à la ferme, il s'avère que l'endroit n'a rien d'idyllique ; la ferme, qui est tombée en ruine, est en fait une petite maison entourée d'un terrain envahi par d'épais buissons et des mauvaises herbes. La tâche du protagoniste consiste à redonner à la ferme sa splendeur d'antan.

Mécanismes de jeu

Le gameplay général de Stardew Valley est presque une copie conforme des solutions connues de la série Harvest Moon. Le point de départ est donc un jeu économique, au cours duquel nous nous occupons principalement de la gestion et du développement de notre ferme. Tout le jeu commence par la remise en état de la ferme : déterrer les pierres, couper les arbres et éliminer les mauvaises herbes. Nous nous occupons ensuite de planter des cultures, de les arroser et de les récolter, ce qui constitue notre principale source de revenus. Au fil du temps, nous avons la possibilité de cultiver de plus en plus de produits et même d'élever des animaux, et nous pouvons investir l'argent que nous gagnons dans le développement de la ferme.

Une grande liberté d'action

Les réalités décrites ci-dessus d'un jeu économique classique ont été encadrées dans Stardew Valley en tant que sanbox RPG. À cet égard, le titre nous offre une grande marge de manœuvre, en proposant une extraordinaire variété d'activités et de tâches auxquelles nous pouvons nous consacrer, en fonction de nos préférences. Outre l'agriculture, notre protagoniste peut, par exemple, pêcher, visiter une mine voisine et chercher des matières premières utiles, ou encore s'aventurer dans des donjons où l'attendent des monstres dangereux et de précieux trésors. Lorsqu'il ne travaille pas dans les champs, notre fermier peut se rendre dans une ville voisine, participer à divers événements, interagir avec les personnages qu'il rencontre et accepter des tâches de leur part. Comme dans Harvest Moon, le jeu offre également la possibilité de vivre une histoire d'amour et, à plus long terme, de se marier et d'élever des enfants.

Multijoueurs

Stardew Valley est un jeu initialement conçu pour un seul joueur. Cependant, après la sortie du titre, l'auteur n'a pas cessé de travailler à son développement, introduisant un certain nombre de nouveaux éléments dans les mises à jour ultérieures du jeu, y compris, entre autres, la possibilité de jouer en mode multijoueur en coopération. Il est à noter que le mode multijoueur est absent sur les plateformes mobiles.

Problèmes techniques

En termes de décor, Stardew Valley ressemble fortement aux premiers volets de la série Harvest Moon, offrant des graphismes simples en 2D en vue de dessus, rappelant les productions de l'ère des consoles 16 bits.
