Hey how are you? I was wondering if you could have some headcanons for Hermes, Poseidon, Apollo and Loki with a goddess of sadness. She is the tallest of all the goddesses there, measuring almost three meters, she always has a melancholic aura and a quite sensitive, solitary and serious personality but she is kind to the most intimate people in her circle. She adores humanity and used to have a human husband before he tragically died. She is one of the strongest goddesses, when she cries she makes her sadness infect others, making them cry too and feel her pain (it is based on blue diamond from Steven Universe but I don't know if you know her. - he's very curious as to why you're so gloomy and emotional. But you are the goddess of sadness, you live up to your title. Literally.

- whenever he pulls pranks or Snickers at jokes, he's always looking towards you and pointing a finger at whoever was unlucky enough to be his target— thinking you'd instantly feel better.

- no, you actually got gloomier.

- but I think he'd take a liking to you. Opposites attract pretty well if I do say so myself. Atleast he has someone (not really) willing to listen to him.

- and about your height, I bet he'd use his floating ability to float towards your face, so he could talk to you more , and os that you don't have to bend down a little to hear him. And yes, he will ignore the fact that you are uncomfortable or not.

- he just yaps and talks about anything basically. Even if you are very quiet. you talk sometimes, only when you really feel like it.

- seeing how you can make people cry just because YOU are crying... its probably super amusing to him. Even if he's also there shedding tears.

-i bet he'd try to make you cry near the unbreakable ones like Thor, Poseidon, Odin, and so on. Just for the fun of it. A little experiment to make sure you're really that strong.

Apollo

- this guy is the perfect ladies man. He knows how to entertain you, he knows how to stop your thoughts from going elsewhere (or maybe stopping you from thinking about something sad. Or else everyone will get affected with your sadness plague.)

- even with your tall height, he still knows how to take care of you. He will find ways. Like when you visit his place, he will make sure you have enough room in the pool of water. He'd also dismiss the nymphs who are staring at your tall figure.

- if y'all are in a relationship, then he's willing to make you atleast a little bit happy. Seeing you cry for the first time was so heartbreaking to see, until it started happening more often.

- well, he learned to embrace it. And now, whenever you cry, he'll just come up to you with his arms open. (Like the "where my hug at?" Typa pose.) and he'll approach you slowly like--

"darling, darling, no need to cry. Let's look to the bright side!"

-- before he makes a tiny lil ball of light in his hands w his photokinesis. If not, he himself would probably blind someone with his light, just to make his statement clear to you. Lmao 😭

- he's already used to this. But I'm sure he'd find joy in watching your power do its thing to those around you. watching people—especially the most cold blooded gods—cry because of you, is incredible.

- he'd give you praises on your power, and how delightful it was to have such a goddess existing in the realm of divine beings. He'd serve you food and tea, ones that are extra big because of your size and height. Like I can imagine this man carrying a huge ass cup just for you to sip some tea or smth.

- I know you both gossip. He'd be whispering all the stuff he has to know on that day's tea, and you just quietly listen and softly giving your feedback. Y'all would do it in front of the other gods too lmao 😭😭

- your aura combined with his, it's a peculiar combo. But its certainly calming, with his personality and yours, it leaves a weird feeling in the room whenever you two are close.

- you both are pretty chill together tho.

- if you guys were in a relationship, he'd be so understanding and supportive of you. When you enter a battle, he'd probably be behind holding light sticks or something with that small smile he always has.

Poseidon

- now him. He likes your presence. Cus it reminds him a bit of hades. Not the crying part, but more of the calm demeanor you have. You are very soft spoken and it doesn't annoy him.

- you and hades are his only exceptions. Your aura is comforting in a way that soothes his nerves. He's also seen and even felt the sadness you've carried on your shoulders all those years after you beloved died, as well as the burden of other things.

- so he can quite understand you. It must really be difficult dealing with such feelings he learned that after he felt the pain you buried deep into your body when you cried.

- you both are also a peculiar duo combo. I just know most of the gods there ship you both. Loki was the one making the scenerios and fanfics (he's such an ass)

- Poseidon acts like he doesn't care, or is irritated. But in all reality, he doesn't seem to mind. He likes you a lot.

- he's pretty quick to slice someone who makes you cry. He just uses the excuse that he doesn't want to shed tears and all because showing weakness is weak af. But in reality he actually just doesn't want anyone fuckin w you.

- like imagine him saying that showing such weak emotions as a god is pathetic, before seeing you and quickly saying "unless it's completely necessary".

Alpha Miguel hearing you don't want kids like "I can fix them uwu". One day you realize "oh is he like, courting me" and you're confronted with the terrifying mortality of "holy shit does he want to date/have babies, idk if im ready for something that serious 😳" and also just, him having all these biological advantages over you like he eventually figures out how to tell your emotions by your scent and things like that, you hug the wrong person and suddenly he's in a foul mood and "wanting to speak to them" because their scent transferred onto you

-normal Miguel finding out about an Omega Reader and "no, I'm just studying them for science though--" *suddenly has terabytes of notes about you, your biological aspects, info from your home dimension about Omegas, plenty of personally written 'research notes'* he's just utterly obsessed and fascinated. He learns you're just basically a guaranteed baby machine amd suddenly he's astral projecting himself into another reality, man reads a factoid on how Omega typically have 3 or even more babies and he's sitting there thinking about the two of you with four daughters. Maaaaybe one son but, he loves the idea of all girls, he's just baby crazy for a daughter specifically and he's like "but wait, I could have multiple". But papi, four quinces sounds expensive lmao, lucky he's got that CEO money

-But of course, I'm growing especially fonder of female Alpha Reader and Omega Miguel and like. You're both kind of socially awkward and feel 'out of place', and being atrracted to each other is weird because you both lowkey hate yourselves and aren't sure how you two would work out. What does it mean for you to be an Alpha? Isn't he more dominant than you? Should he... act more submsisive towards you, like, you're both so confused and not sure how to act and also kind of being social recluses. One day you have your whole aha moment where you realize it's kind of a perspective thing and suddenly you cant thinking about him holding a chunky little newborn or having a tea party with his daughters and how, oh wouldn't he be so cute with a baby on his hip

Alpha Reader "I want to see him holding my babies and i wanna love n support him" vs Omega Miguel "I want to cuddle and kiss her while she carries our babies and protect her and love her 🥰" like fjfjff the nuance is THERE

-then there's the juicy idea or "alpha Miguel from a dimension without really any Omegas meeting an Omega Reader for the first time" and he's just kind of head over heels for you (and so is everyone else really). He starts realizing how powerful your "abilities" are when one day you're called into his office to see him throwing things around and shouting about "another hole in the multiverse" and Peter B is like silently begging for you to try and calm him down and you just. Panic and hug him! And you're hugging him and he can get a whiff of your scent and you hit him with the boo boo eyes "It'll be ok, please don't be so stressed 🥺 I'm sure we can figure something out. You're strong, you'll get through this"

Peter B and Jess just like exchanging knowing glances as you get him to settle into a chair and he's still grumbling and irritated but like significantly calmer now and you're just rubbing his shoulders and offering to get him a coffee and giving him a little pep talk amd being very, you know, gentle and nurturing :) totally disarms him and calms him right down, he goes from a red faced screaming mess to purring in a chair as you force idle chit chat about "are you hungry? When did you eat last? Or sleep?" And suddenly he's imagining being at the breakfast table with you and the pups he can easily see you two having together and from then on, Peter B knows to keep you nearby at all times to help calm the big bad Alpha down next time he's about to get an ulcer from stress

Even thought i currently find myself stuck in a brazillian 12th grade high school classroom for the next 11 hours of my day, there's a very personal hankering in making a full blown analysis about a topic that i haven't seen people talk about much in terms of Ink's character (i'll explain, hold on-)

Anyways, been noticing that people often narrow Ink's social 'deficts' as him being 'blunt and little tone-deaf at times' (actual quote) and while that's true, i do not think this description does much justice to explian what it actually representes for his character. (and as a gal who's extremly interested in psychology, it's a shame really but i don't blame anyone lmao xD)

Warning: lots and lots of the word 'social understanding'

Basically, it's described that Ink 'hardly has a proper social understanding' (quote from Ink's offcial F.A.Q). The use of 'hardly' just helps me prove that using 'a little tone-deaf' is very incorrect since it would actually be 'almost always tone-deaf' but ANYWAYS.

As someone who is interested in the field of psychology, the use of this particular term has always caught by attention a little bit, such a specific word isn't it? Since 'Social understanding' is more widely used in more academic centered context like studies conducted in relation to social competences, something more informal/non-academic would perhaps be a better fit with the context of a tumblr post ('social skills' for example). BUT! here's a fun fact for you. Social skills and Social understanding are not the same thing, ever!

The term social skills can be defined as 'the skills who individuals integrated in society uses for everyday communication with others'. While social understanding can be described as 'the understanding of the social de features of the world, as people with beliefs/intentions/emotions/wishes and desires'. Noticed how different those concepts are from each other? It can be argued that social understanding affects a person's use of social skills but the lack of social skills does not affect social understanding. The reason for that is because the understanding of the social world is a feature whom is always related to the neurobiological development of the brain, while social skills (a.k.a how you deal with social issues) can be properly trained. (basic words, someone's ability to understand social interaction is a neurodevelopmental gift)

Now, to make sure everyone understands, (i'm not downplaying your intelligence but presenting extra information is my jam, really) most can agree upon the fact that social understanding is a form of 'big-picture' thinking. It involves observing and processing the larger social environment, for real-time social interaction, that feature is often times crucial. It is observed that social understanding starts to develop in a very early stage in a child's life, precisely at the stage of early development period (age 2 to 6) and continues to develop till early adulthood. Whatever or not a child has the 'proper social understanding' is obviously seen in early childhood (it's observed that even one year old babies have the understanding of the social world, a very premature one, but it is still something lmao)

Now coming back to Ink, to stated that 'Ink hardly has a proper social understanding' it can be argued that he barely has a proper theory of mind (i've already said this but anyways) since both of them are characterized as the same social cognitive chategor, but are described with different names (according to some sources of information, psychologists have actually wanted to integrate the word 'social understanding' instead of 'theory of mind', since it seems to be a more accurate term for the topic in hand).

Now let's see, what causes Ink's problems with social understanding? Well, It's definetly not his soullessness (remember what i said about how the ability of understanding the social features of the world is related to brain development? Ink wasn't born soullessness and it does not affect this type of development as a result. His soullessness seems to be caused by 'environment reasons', anyways.) nor Ink's isolation in the Doodlesphere (it def could cause some problems at first glance but nothing *this* persistent). Anyways, it's very obvious that i want to say 'autism' so there you have it (social understanding is only affected by certain specific conditions, those are ASD and schizophenia). Just sayin...

Anyways, i think that Ink's social issues are such a fun topic to discuss but also surprisinly complex! It's more nuansed than it seems basically.

New York:

He will 100% cry or at least struggle not to cry if someone makes fun of the fact he can’t walk right.

Hella insecure about the fact that it’s really difficult for him to be able to gain weight. It doesn’t help that he was bullied about it when he went to school.

NY actually did very well in school and was a bright smart student, but his classmates and teachers were absolute ASSHOLES to him.

Him and sleep are the type of enemies that if one was on fire and the other had a glass of water, the one with the water would drink it. So- NY is tired ALL. THE. DAMN. TIME. But if he tries to sleep, he can’t. And if he does manage to fall asleep, he just wakes up an hour later whether it just be out of nowhere or he has a nightmare.

Louisiana:

When France killed Loui’s mother, Loui’s mom actually put a curse on France that would give him terrible and vivid nightmares, ones that were so vivid that the victim could feel the phantom pain even after they woke up. But ofc since Louisiana has a heart where he should have a brain, he felt bad and took the curse off of France and put it on himself. Which is one of the reasons that he can’t sleep now. And most of his nightmares are about France’s abuse and war so. Yeah. He feels it all.

So like- Loui is a very kind, very gentle, and very big-hearted person. And he wants nothing but the best for most people. Unfortunately, this has led to him being used and hurt and manipulated more times than anybody is comfortable with hearing. And it’s usually the people he loves most that end of hurting him.

He finds it hard to believe that everybody actually loves him and cares about him. He just- can’t believe it. Yeah, he’ll say he believes it, but he doesn’t. Not fully at least.

For my cryptid/animal stuff, I picture Loui to be some blend of either a wolf and gator, or a wolf and Pelican. But he has the wolf ears and tail. They’re usually out, but they’re just hidden under his hat and in his shirt. Why does he keep them hidden? Well- his ears and tails are VERY sensitive to pain. And France use to take advantage of that by stepping on his tail and yanking on his ears and yelling constantly cuz he knew that it hurt Louisiana. I’m gonna skin France alive.

Texas:

When he gets way too damn tired to even want to exist, he’ll just completely give up. He’ll just lay there and cry. He won’t even try to fight someone coming to front, he’ll just let it happen. Someone needs to sit this poor boy down and help him talk about his issues please I’m begging-(no let him suffer <3)

The only time he ever opens up is if he’s drunk or if Austin is fronting. And when he comes back to front, he’ll completely ignore everyone and isolate himself.

I’m very very nice to him and I’ve given him: asthma, an iron deficiency, and hemophilia (so he bleeds REALLY easily). He absolutely REFUSES to take his medications and stuff and use his inhaler when he needs it. And all he does is work outside and lift and do stuff all day. Which he gets really dizzy and winded and hurt from. So cue someone finding him completely dazed and out of it leaning against a wall just so he can keep standing and he’s just trying to control his breathing and all of that.

He absolutely loves giving and receiving hugs and physical affection, but if ANY touch restrains and/or restricts his movement and ability to escape, someone is getting kicked, punched, bitten, slapped, or all the above.

Gov:

Oh Gov. Poor, poor, not-so-innocent Gov….. he needs a nap. Desperately. And a hug. Please. He needs it. So, so bad.

He has PA’s alcohol addiction, but instead it’s caffeine cuz he’s seen what alcohol does to people and fears becoming like PA.

He has TERRIBLE dissociation episodes that usually end with him just passing tf out.

Gov felt as though the Civil War was mostly his fault and pinned the blame on himself for some reason. He felt as though he had done something wrong that made half of his country wanted to leave.

Massachusetts:

Blames himself for almost everything that happened to his siblings. Even though literally NONE of it was his fault.

His biggest fears are failure, and hurting those he loves. He can’t stand the thought of it AT ALL. He can’t.

Often fears that he’s not “masculine enough” since England always told him that ever since he transitioned.

He tries not to use his magic as much after the Salem Witch Trials happened. Cuz he got beat and burned at the stake at least once or twice and would rather not relive that pain.

New Jersey:

Okay- tbh, he’s not the sharpest tool in the shed, and he’s kinda insecure about that cuz he was never as smart and creative as his brothers.

Will literally hold in his tics until he’s alone, and usually by that time, he’s incredibly uncomfortable and maybe even in a bit of pain.

For the cryptid/animal stuff: one of his horns is cracked and a little shorter than the other because England broke one of them. Asshole.

His biggest fears are: the death of his loved ones and hurting his loved ones (oh look he has something in common with Ma-*gets choked*)

An anon talked about this before (and you too prob.) but i also don't like how people portray his soullessness eitheir, mainly due to the implications of it (in which are not good at all lmao).

You said that soullessness in Undertale kinda of represents depression/ptsd and while this can be aplied to Ink, i so more think that it represents a chronic autoimune disabilty of some short for him. He has a certain condition that heavily affects his ability to perform certain tasks (like talking, moving, interacting etc..) and will not function without any outside help/support, so much so that he needs 'paints' ('cause it doesn't taste like paint for him apparently) that helps him heavily in his functioning (also, the defenition of vials is 'a small container, typically cylindrical and made of glass, used especially for holding liquid medicines.'). You can even argue that his soullessness being a parallel to real life chronic disabilities is not even a methaphor 'cause that's what he literally*is* (disabled) and even if it's just all a methaphor, It's just SO in the nose bruh.

The consequences that his soullessness brings to his characters are also very similar to real life. He doesn't feel the "privilege" of considering oneself as a person like everyone else, blames himself from being so different and often hides his condition in pure shame, is insecure about his worth, has tried to cure himself a bunch of times in canon...Hell, he's heavily implied as having internalized ableism towards himself, in which creates a never ending clycle of pure self hatred!!! The core of his insecurity IS his lack of soul!!

But utmv fans just looked at all this and were like, 'nah, he's totally and utterly EVIL bc of his condition and doesn't deserve any love or affection from anyone'. People just CAN'T seem to understand that his soullessness affects him the most! Yes, it does affect other people (ink canonically isolates himself 'cause he's dead afraid of acidentaly hurting them) but!!!it hurts him the most!!! He's being hurt too!!

Anyways lol, i often feel like that Ink's treated as 'the soulless one' rather than a person who lacks a soul, you know??

I did say that in undertale, being soulless can be read as having depression or ptsd, but I did also point out that it can be read as a chronic autonome disability too, ESPECIALLY in ink's case. my main point of argument for this being that he can't function with his vials, who sound a lot like they're his meds

in terms of ink having depression and ptsd, I personally read him as having depression, but I found it heavily implied in his canon that he has ptsd, he has a breakdown when left in a white void for too long, and also his detachment from everyone around him and his inability to connect with people can also be read as being caused by his ptsd (just like flowey)

the internalized ableism that he has I find that very interesting. seeing everyone around him feel every emotions without trouble, have energy to do what they want, not being slowed down...

seeing everyone *being alive*, while he struggles too just survive, of course that gonna make him think he is 'lesser' or make him think that isn't a 'person', since people in undertale are so defined by their souls.

I made a post not long ago about how ink is stuck in a loop, a hell of his own making. about how he keeps gaining friendships but always ends up breaking them at some point because he thinks he doesn't deserve it. or that the people he's with don't deserve to have to 'deal' with him.

and that another factor of him always leaving is pure fear that they found out he doesn't have a soul, like it's a sin or a moral failure that he is disabled (which it isn't of course)

I'm the number one guy that keeps reminding everyone that the only one affected by ink's soullessness is ink himself. that's like my catchphrase at this point lmao

but I think since our main reference of what being soulless is like is flowey, and since people thought that kid was pure evil without bothering to look any deeper, then they thought that every other soulless character must also be pure evil.

despite the fact that flowey did all those horrible things because he obtained the power to reset, not because he couldn't feel empathy (flowey in his first few runs helped everyone and became friends with all of them, people love forgetting that)

and it's the same thing for ink, ink's an asshole because he refused BY CHOICE to take anything seriously or care about anything, two things that he can totally do without a soul.

the thing with ink is that he puts on facade after facade to hide so much vulnerability. he is an asshole specifically to push people away because he can't fathom being loved.

and the thing is that people FELL for his facades. like good job mate, u decided to only look at the surface level and keep othering him from his peers just like he wanted.

baizhu often has a hand on their shoulder or on the dip in their back, so...

it's understandable that a lot of foreigners misinterpret their relationship.

however, it tends to become very clear that they aren't dating after a little bit of observation.

[name] has been known to hit his arm (gently! they're very conscious of his physical condition) or pinch his cheek. they bicker. they fight like siblings. liyue's residents see this kind of interaction between the two very often.

i also think that [name] has nightmares sometimes, largely about their time in the abyss.

just... baizhu cuddles. that's all. just him quietly talking them back to sleep, fingertips massaging their scalp, because they like hearing him talk. him somehow always knowing when they have a bad night, despite them never daring to go bother him about it. he always just seems to know.

Judging by set traits, there may not be many reaction options. It worries me a little, bcs I don't like it when MC is forced to behave in set way, for example, always nice to someone, be antagonistic and reader has no influence on it.

I understand where you're coming from, but there will be a lot of reaction options.

If you're worried about your Previous Role, it's really meant to affect your beginning stats and give you different opportunities/abilities within game to increase replayability. It will mostly affect the flavor text, rather than actual choices.

Having it affect anything else besides the occasional off hand sentence or thought, beginning stats, and events where you can use your Previous Role specific abilities is literal coding hell and you can be sure I will not be doing that LMAO!

If you're concerned about the other set traits, I'll explain a bit!

Cheshire's relationship with O will start off assuming you two have been antagonistic to each other up to that point. Stat wise, you'll start with lower friend points by default (picking Talking Flower as your Previous Role will increase your beginning friend points with them). O will treat you as if you two have been bickering/antagonistic to each other, but you can choose if you want to react to them by continuing the bickering or not.

Cheshire always being kind to the Wonderland citizens really comes as a reaction from my other two blogs where people have expressed quite a big interest in some pretty fucked up violence against the characters. That's just me saying you won't be able to be a dick to them/harm them. As for the Ichor, Cheshire being concerned about it is the whole reason they set off on this quest to begin with. If Cheshire didn't care about the people of Wonderland or the Ichor, we really wouldn't have a story, or it'd be a very different story.

As for Cheshire being mischievous and chaotic, like with your Previous Role, it'll affect flavor text and smaller pieces of dialogue than actual choices. Cheshire will propose or express favor for the more chaotic ideas and inclinations but ultimately it's up to you on whether or not they go through with it.

I will probably never be subtle about Turtle Temper being one of, if not, my *least favorite* episode of the 2012 series. There are a few episodes in this show that handle the turtles’ (Raph is far from alone here) struggles poorly, but this one in particular just really pisses me off. We start off with the boys on a roof trying to catch the kraang and we see Mikey pestering Raph. Totally fine, siblings be like that lol. My issues with the episode don’t necessarily start until they get back to the lair, and Splinter decides to be uh… hm, not smart? He puts all the blame on Raph for them getting caught and recorded, blaming it on his inability to control his temper. Now, that would work… if Mikey hadn’t been the one being loud and pestering Raph until he snapped in the first place. Seriously, they were on a mission and Mikey knows Raph tends to react to being pested, but he continues until Raph snaps. Wouldn’t have a problem with this, but Splinter puts ALL of the blame on Raph! For that to make sense we have to pretend Mikey had no idea what he was doing. We aren’t treating Mikey like a baby in this household, he knows he was being annoying. I want to be very clear, though: I’m not mad at Mikey here. He’s a teenager messing with his brother and that’s normal. My issue is and will always be Splinter here.

Then we get to the part of the episode that just… why? Splinter has the “brilliant” idea to have Raph dodge arrows while his brothers insult him. The goal is to teach him how to control his temper in a fight and what happens when he doesn’t right? Cool, goal makes sense. What I don’t like is the method. Look, Raph is an emotionally volatile teenager, but have you met teenagers? That’s kinda just how they are because their brains are basically on fire changing so much. What Splinter does here isn’t an affective way to teach anyone, let alone a teenager. Raph gets humiliated in front of pretty much his entire social group. He can’t defend himself. Humiliation is a good tactic… as a threat to prevent people from committing crime. What does it do when someone actually experiences it? Oh, it encourages revenge fantasies and other harmful ways of thinking. Yes, this has been researched. Basically, Raph should have learned *nothing*. This method of trying to teach him was cruel and completely useless to boot. Raph’s temper is absolutely a disadvantage for him in fights. That’s just kinda what anger does in that situation. Treating Raph this way just wasn’t the way to handle it. Honestly I could go on about how Raph’s instinct of “destroy that damn phone” was right but we literally see that play out in the episode when they try negotiating with the guy lol.

Anywho, yeah this episode drives me nuts. Telling someone to control their anger does not magically give them the ability to control their anger. Also, don’t expect teens to just know how to deal with emotions! No I do not care that they are ninja Splinter, they’re fucking teenagers help them fix the mistake don’t berate them for it. If anyone wants me to expand on this more lemme know I can talk for ages lmao.

SO the way it works is that they can only be in one form at a time, either weapon or normal person form, so jekyll can weild hyde, or hyde can weild jekyll; they cannot both exist as a person or a weapon at the same time (we'll get back to that)

imagining each of them having their own half of one soul, getting farther away drastically affects their health; they're already kind of dying because of the split but getting further just kind of makes it worse, since their already frail tether to each other could kinda just snap

i think of it like an egg, they split a whole egg in 2, so now the 2 halves are each in their own half of an eggshell; if the eggshell tips over too much then the egg falls out and Thats Bad

jekyll was able to manifest the split by focusing his entire will on trying to become a weapon without losing his human form in the process; he basically focused Real Hard on doing both at the same time, he did a lot of research and practice and testing stuff before actually being able to do it, but he cant put it back now oopsies

about their differences, thats the part thats more interesting to me! generally people view jekyll and hyde as a split personality sort of thing when it isnt really that originally? the original book is much more leaning towards being a metaphor for alcoholism; basically hyde is less of "evil jekyll" and more "jekyll if he had no inhibitions" so i wanted to lean into the fact that hyde is basically the same guy as jekyll! whenever jekyll does Crimes he does it as hyde because he knows no one will think its jekyll committing these crimes (testimonies going "i saw a white hair man at the scene!!" while jekyll has black hair, etc)

final thing, their resonance... he ehhehe so he only ever does this Once (and then is fucking Murdered minutes later but we dont talk about that) as a last resort sorta thing; so hes basically backed into a corner, and his last resort is to use all that Wonderful focusing ability he gained in his tests to try and split his soul Again so that he can wield Both halves of his blade together again (individually theyre light enough to be one handed swords, but together they form a big two-handed sword) BUT when he does this, his physical body is just. Not there, it moves very funky and looks like its being puppetted around

and then he eats shit and dies but we'll get into that later LMAO

In FNAF 4 game: There's an oddity with the NPC with a green shirt and brown hair, he has a STRIKING appearance to one of the "bullies" older brother's friends. But the one in the green shirt in the game has blonde hair. Idk if they're meant to be the same character and the sprite was just bonked up or what. FNAF color pallets being consistent is NOT something this series is known for lmfao.

I made these two characters brothers and modified his dialogue to suit that he knows Cody by "Josh's brother". Either way this character should know this kid's name lmfao.

The party coming up is apparently Cody's. The last NPC is debated to be the character "Susie" from the games....I color picked and this girl looks black to me. (Susie is white with styled blonde hair) Like they both have bows and wear pink so MAYBE it was meant to be her but idk. This was the design I went with. Retconning design and inconsistent colors in FNAF again: Is not new.

Susie is used as a character in another place in Creations anyway and it wouldn't line up timeline wise. (This makes an animatic with her as the Chica we meet in Mike's story outdated and incorrect but there's LOTS of ideas in the animatics that were abandoned going over all of them would take hours lmfao.)

You might have noticed an itty bitty detail of Josh getting set off every time Cody starts shouting. Bro does not handle that shit well.

If you are a fan of The Sign and enjoyed the last episode, please do not read any further. Believe it or not, I don't want my negative opinion to affect your good mood 🤗

Okay, so I hated the finale 😆 The series ended exactly as I feared it would. With what was also the worst thing about the Last Twilight finale and why I hated CharlieBabe's relationship: namely, when one person call the shots in the relationship, makes all the decisions on their own, including the most drastic ones, and lies to the other a person "for their own good", and the series shows this as something positive and romantic. I hate these tropes, i.e. forced separations, fake deaths, making decisions for two without talking about it, and noble sacrifice without informing the other person about it. I hate showing it in a romantic light as the ultimate proof of love because it IS NOT proof of love. This only proves that 1) you don't trust the other person, 2) you don't believe that he or she is a rightful member of your relationship 3) you don't believe that you can talk to this person, that this person will help you, advise you, support you 4) you subconsciously question their intellectual and emotional abilities 5) you think that this person needs to be babied and you are the only adult in this relationship 6) this person does not deserve to make a decision in their OWN CASE, their OWN LIFE. Tharn decided to "save" Phaya and grandma by leaving with Chalathorn, he made the decision thinking what was best for them, but never considering IF THEY WANTED IT. The sight of grandma fainting, and later clutching her heart and losing strength as Phaya cries in the hospital scene, the sight of Phaya's utter despair as he is unable to function normally, go to work, live, who spends every waking moment looking for Tharn - yes, THIS is it the "life" that Tharn had so nobly sacrificed for. THARN NEVER EVEN THOUGHT TO ASK PHAYA AND GRANDMA IF THAT'S WHAT THEY WANTED. HE MADE THE DECISION FOR THEM, LIED TO THEM UNTIL THE LAST MOMENT AND LEFT THEM ALONE TO DEAL WITH THE CONSEQUENCES.

What I ABSOLUTELY HATE is that Tharn has NEVER even wavered in his decision, even though Phaya MANY TIMES, including on their last night, tells him, begs him not to leave him and to trust him, that Phaya will always be by his side. And I also ABSOLUTELY HATE the fact that when Tharn returns, Phaya tries to explain to him how hard it was for him, what a traumatic experience it was for him, and Tharn doesn't even let him finish. How can I support such an unequal relationship? How could I trust Tharn if I were Phaya? Our Dating Sim showed how such separations affect people's mental health. However, Lee Wan realizes this and when Shin Ki Tae breaks down, he lets him talk about his fear and then comforts him. And he doesn't shut him up.

I admit I lost it when Tharn said to Phaya and Doc "Please stop killing each other" lmao what? Are you equating your boyfriend who had to fight for his life and the guy who tries to kill him in every incarnation, including when he is still a child? What about this sick symmetry? 😆 Of course, nothing compares to the fact that Tharn stayed with Chalathorn for a whole year because he felt sorry for him, while his grandmother (the heart-clutching one, you know which one) may have had a heart attack, and both she and Phaya are in agony and losing their health ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I loved Tharn, he was my favorite character in The Sign. And in the end he became the worst.

What was really funny was that in the end, NOTHING depended on Tharn and Phaya, it was Chalathorn - a murderer, manipulator and kidnapper - who made them happy 😄 And finally, they even thanked him and Phaya promised him to take care of Tharn, as if the doctor were the father of the lovely girl, who was being given away for marriage. Just kill me now 👌 Their love turned out to be completely pointless, because everything was decided by CHALATHORN, and everything related to their relationship took place offscreen and was actually a result of coincidence. Chalathorn even gave life to Tharn, gave him his soul. Thus proving that Phaya was useless to Tharn. Amazing 👌 Their love is based on fear, death, and separations and making the same mistakes, instead of taking action together, trust, faithfulness to each other, and mutual support. In their relationship, only Phaya makes an effort, I stopped feeling Tharn's love a long time ago. Tharn has always just surrendered to what is BAD happening around him (because Tharn/Wansa always surrenders to Chalathorn, not relies on Phaya/Garuda). The worst thing is that Tharn from the beginning of the series WAS NOT LIKE THAT 😤

THE POINT OF THIS SERIES WAS SUPPOSED TO BE THAT THIS TIME PHAYA AND TAHRN WOULD OVERCOME KARMA TOGETHER. They were to break this cycle with precise instructions from the abbot. Not only did they not overcome it, but they repeated it exactly to the letter. This raises the question: what was the point of all this, if Phaya and Tharn repeated the cycle of love, despair and death and got out of it thanks to someone else's decision? Is this a series then… about Chalathorn? 😂 HOW CAN I SUPPORT THIS RELATIONSHIP AND BELIEVE IN THIS LOVE WHEN ULTIMATELY NOTHING DEPENDED ON THEM AND THEY DID NOTHING TO SAVE THEMSELVES AND SAVE THIS LOVE. Oh, by "they" I meant Tharn.

What else was weird:

how is it that Doc is suddenly so sacrificial and willing to let Tharn go when he was willing to destroy his own soul just to kill Phaya and take Tharn like 5 min ago???

where are the Chart scenes? Khem and Thongthai?

random scene with Phaya's sister and Dao who is in France? Anyone interested in this?? So there was time for THIS, but not for Chalathorn and Tharn?

The finale otherwise had no emotional impact in the most important scenes:

Tharn joined the police to solve the mystery of his father's death, Akk had his entire agenda in this matter. However, after the killer is arrested (with Chalatorn's help lol) it doesn't feel like it has any major impact on either of them

Chart almost died. He didn't even deserve a single scene with Akk, who would thank him or just talk to him (I don't care about it, just to close this thread)

Khem almost died. We only see him once more after that. He's fine 🤷‍♀️

there are no scenes of Tharn reuniting with Yai, grandmother, or even the abbot

the sex scene is boring, repetitive, with weird music at the beginning that doesn't match the mood, the sight of them kneeling on the bed with pixelated butts, their dicks touching, with their pants around their knees is nothing but ridiculous. The whole scene is overshadowed by the fact that Tharn is lying to Phaya, that he's giving him something nice before he leaves (pity fuck) and taking fond memories with him (selfish fuck), and basically we all know it's a goodbye fuck. That is, everyone knows except Phaya, who, like Babe and Mhok, is oblivious at this point and happy to have it all taken away from him by someone he loves.

Actually, the last time this show was nice was when they still called each other bolster and jellyfish 😄 Also, if I'm not mistaken, all but one of the flashbacks in this episode were from episodes 1-5, plus the sex scene from ep. 7. Because back then the series was still good and it was about PhayaTharn. How could such a perfect series fuck up so much?

What was good about the finale? Just like in Last Twilght: the hets. Thank you Yai for being there and maintaining your integrity from start to finish 💖

there’s a lot to say in terms of cycles! hawke having their father’s personality is so fascinating for that and handers is so fascinating for the obvious parallel to malcolm and leandra

i would say i don’t play keir and malcolm as carbon copies of each other. keir is trying to be his father, because he thinks that’s his job. being “red” does come naturally to keir in terms of bluntness, but a lot of the way keir has learned to behave is about overdoing the aggression especially when putting on a front with strangers, to fill out his father’s shoes so to speak and cover up his relative lack of sheer charisma. malcolm was a prodigy and, like, a romantic hero, i have to characterise him as a powerful speaker and a quick thinker in a way keir simply isn’t. on the other hand, keir IS better at doing affection than malcolm was. he’s earnest with the people he loves in the sense that he’s “bluer” with them, he’s very physically affectionate, all in a way that malcolm was never really capable of. but he and malcolm both find it very hard to express that verbally

(this actually characterises a lot of my keir and bethany dynamic, because i think a younger bethany looked up to keir a lot and a few years of separation give her the perspective to be like, oh you’re just pretending to be dad. that’s kind of embarrassing isn’t it. does this really work on people. JGSHSJSKSK.)

when i say anders is bringing a lot emotionally to the table i mean that in game he expresses his feelings verbally a lot, he’s a romantic, he’s a talker. i’ve made jokes abt just how many more words he gets of dialogue when i write them lmao. he makes declarations of love, he has ideas about relationships even if he’s not familiar with actually being in them outside of what you can get away with in the circle, he has fantasies and ideals and concerns and the ability to say all of this aloud is a luxury to him, one he couldn’t bring himself to waste. keir by contrast doesn’t like to talk abt his own feelings, it’s not something he was taught to do. he likes it from anders, but his own feelings are supposed to be his own problem and not put onto anyone else. similarly to how he’s an intensely fear-driven person bc he internalises like all of it rather than expressing anything bc it’s his job to make everyone else feel safe. and yeah i would say that’s similar to the malcolm and leandra dynamic in my canon

honestly the interesting reversal of all this is actually the “fugitives together” ending, in that keir abandoning everything for anders actually switches him to his mother’s role. which is i think true to keir having more in common with leandra than he thinks. anders being the only other character who gets compared to malcolm (by bethany) is also super interesting

I know I said I would take a break, and believe me, I have, but I wanted to post these before the desire to write something else came into my head. Now that this has been posted, however, I'm going to go play some Detroit Become Human and try like hell to not start writing out ideas for that as an AU lmao!

Unlike many of my previous AUs, there aren’t a lot of scenes that didn’t make the cut as I followed my original plotlines pretty closely, but there are a few that I mentioned offhandedly that were never fully explained or fleshed out, so I figured I would post segments of my original scribblings just to show where my head was when I wrote certain lines.

(Part 1) This is a little explanation I wrote for myself when I started figuring out the plot so that everything flowed together well and it would feel like time had passed, but not a ton. I wanted it to feel like the genuine passage of time, but I only brought some of these to fruition and I’m pretty sure you can tell which ones!

"The kids have been practicing magic under the watchful eyes of Mick, Miles, and Carrie, who, despite not possessing magic, have worked in the magic shop for long enough to know the basics. The kids have sworn only to use their magic for good, and while they try to help everyone, it’s not always easy. Royce has spent most of his allowance on spell books - most of which don’t work as they aren’t legitimate spell books - and has gone a bit overboard trying to figure out every aspect of their powers. Kona has been practically glued to Bentley, pestering him about why he and the others have been acting strangely, but he refuses to tell her anything until they’re all on board for telling her. Vivien has tried everything in her power to give Mick some semblance of magic and heal her magical ties, but nothing seems to work."

So, yeah, I ended up only mentioning a few of them, but this is a little background to give off some more information on what’s happened since the last story.

(Part 2) Initially, Mick’s bond with everyone - especially the kids and particularly Vivien - hadn’t been affected at all. My original idea was that everything had just returned to normal and that everything was fine. The only time the whole possession thing would have bothered her would have been when the kids chose to give up their magic, making her freak out for seemingly no reason as, until that point, she hadn’t said much of anything about it. However, I realized that it made no sense and, if this had been a legit scenario, I would have wanted to seclude myself for a while in order to protect the people I loved in case something like that were to happen again. In the long run, I changed things around and made it feel like she had taken a lot from it - trauma especially.

(Part 2) Kona’s magical realization would have been a lot more fleshed out if I had followed my original ideas. It was supposed to have a full scene on its own, but I’ll let you read the bit I had written before I explain myself.

"Not long before Serena knocks at the door, Kona comes in, pressing them for answers as they haven't been answering their phones. They push her away because they don’t want her to get hurt if Serena comes, but she’s adamant. Ultimately, she storms off but runs into Dorothea, who sits her down, and they talk for a while, getting to the root of the issue and revealing Kona has abilities as well as she nearly sets the kitchen table on fire when she thumps her fist against it."

Now, if you’re anything like my niece who sort of told me off for getting rid of this, I bet you’re sort of wishing I had stuck it out and written this, but I have a few reasons as to why I hadn’t. First of all, I realized as I was writing that, if I were to break up the tension of Serena’s visit any more than I already had with Kona showing up, it would have brought more focus to Kona and less on the stress of Serena’s entire ending scene. It would have made it less impactful as your attention - or mine, at the very least lmao - would have been more focused on Kona’s abilities and how they suddenly came about. It would have been a jarring shift to go from this scene of Kona finding out she has magic, to Serena and the group’s plan to stop her. Second, I wanted Kona’s entrance in the third chapter to be subtle, yet mildly surprising. I didn’t want to go in-depth on her magic or explain her family’s magical history when the story didn’t need it. Still, I wanted her showing up in the woods to link back to her having a conversation with Mrs. Murphy where she, ultimately, discovered her magic in the first place. And, finally, I also cut this out because I was already a lot further along than I thought I would be and I sort of wanted to just get through Serena’s part and call it at that. However, the facts still stand, and I don’t really regret taking this part out as I feel it all worked out in the end.

(Part 3) Now, this is the part that I think I changed the most, but the first thing that comes to mind is this segment:

"After they ask some questions, Mrs. Murphy explains that, during an eclipse, the power transfer is most powerful and will give the vessel - sometimes a magic-less human - powers of their own as they permanently drain the powers from the witches." 

While not a lot has changed there, I’m sure the word “permanently” caught your eye. Yes, the transfer thing was going to be permanent, and in a way, I wonder what it would have been like if I had kept it this way. It would have killed me to write, but it would have hit everyone - me included - really hard. The three kids who had only had magic for two weeks, sacrificed all of it to save someone who wasn’t even truly a friend to them… I mean, wow, it would have really hurt and it would have been painful for the older group as well, as they knew they now had the kids’ magic with no way of returning it to its rightful owners. I kept going back and forth as to whether it was a goodidea to keep the kids as mages, but in the long run, what’s done is done… right?

(Part 3) Directly following the last part, we have this: 

"With that knowledge, we jump to them sitting around in Miles’ room, coming up with a plan. Vivien decides that Carrie, Miles, and Mick will keep crystals with them for protection - Malachite for protection from toxic energy, Smithsonite for bringing them back down to reality and granting the clarity they need to make tough decisions, and white Moonstone for full moon power."

As you can probably tell, I took this section and moved it to the second part as it felt more realistic that Vivien would have them take crystals from the shop. It also gave that sliver of friendship between Vivien and Mick, hinting that both of them want things to go back to how they were. Having it here sort of left things between them feeling flat and unnecessarily stiff whereas it felt more genuine putting it in an earlier section.

(Part 3) Something I don’t have any notes for, but remember writing down, was the idea of Serena taking Kona hostage after the scene in the woods goes south. I got rid of it early on as I felt Kona wouldn’t stand for that kind of thing and would be the most obnoxious hostage ever, pushing Serena to dispose of her when she’s driven her too far up the wall. Kona would be the biggest pain in the ass if she were ever kidnapped, and I love her for that.

(Part 3) When I started writing out the fight scene in the commons, a lot changed, but here is where I think things changed the most:

"As Serena makes her appearance, Kona turns herself invisible and begins taunting her, using her newfound abilities to keep the redhead at bay. It works for a while, but as the transfer nears completion, Serena gets desperate and sends a burst of magic around, knocking Kona to the ground. Royce opens his eyes as he hears the fight ending and looks at Carrie with wide eyes before telling her, “Behind you!” Unified by magic, the older trio turns their magic on Serena and, as the transfer completes, they lift into the sky and begin to fight her. In the middle of the fight, Miles sees the kids still stunned by their new abilities and gets Viv’s attention, telling her to get them out of there. Weakened, the young trio find Kona, stumble down the street to the safety of the nearby cemetery (Howard Street Cemetery), and surround themselves with heavy salt rings before collapsing in exhaustion."

Now, there are several parts of this that I broke off and worked on differently - Kona getting knocked out, Miles joining the fight immediately instead of checking on the kids, and the kids going to the cemetery instead of the Murphy family’s home. Kona getting knocked out changed when I realized that she could still work with the others as a distraction, a rune-maker, and someone who could help complete the circle for the exorcism/draining scene. She became more of a foreground character for that, and I like how it panned out. My decision to change Miles’ reaction to the kids was an easy one as I highly doubt he would have just up and left them to fight - he loves them far too much to do that. As for the cemetery thing, it was mainly going to be a callback to the Hocus Pocus movie, but I realized it would be much easier for them to run from the commons entrance to the already salt-protected house on Forrester Street than it would be for them to cross one of the busiest streets in Salem to get to a cemetery for the sake of hallowed ground.

(Part 3) Finally, the last thing I changed here was, well, this:

"When the kids awaken in the morning, they find themselves on air mattresses on the Murphy family’s living room floor. Serena, while grateful to finally have her mind back in order and no longer be possessed, is quick to leave, heading home after making sure to thank everyone for helping her and telling the others that she’d see them at school."

While I loved the idea of Serena knowing she had been possessed and admitting to it, my mom brought up the idea of her keeping it to herself as she didn’t want to sound like she’d lost her mind, and, honestly, I loved that even more. It is entirely up to you to decide whether or not she remembers everything as I made her brush it off as a bad dream and get kind of snippy and evasive over it, but that just felt like something Serena would do. It felt more like her to keep it inside for her own sake rather than admit she needed help and got it from the people she had abandoned for “greener pastures” with the popular squad. It would probably make her think a lot about whether or not she could actually consider the people she now kept close, “friends.” Also, just the idea of her having this internal, existential crisis over being possessed and everything she experienced while trapped inside her mind just made me laugh. 

Actual scenes that were inspired by movies/shows (spoilers, just in case):

Something about Vivien’s interaction with Carrie in the first part was inspired by George Weasley in this scene.

The part in the woods where they’re trying to drain Serena is inspired by this scene from WandaVision.

This scene from Avengers: Infinity War was what drove me to write the interactions in the commons the way I did. Initially, the transfer would have gone almost exactly like this, with everything falling apart around them and the older group having to fight while everything else was going on. It changed a bit, but I was very close to keeping things identical to this. I guess you could say I wanted them to suffer.

Again, I take a scene from WandaVision to show what I originally wanted the fight to end with. This would have been very different, obviously, but it would have caused a chain reaction that I wasn’t prepared for in the slightest, and I just didn’t go with it in the long run. (Kona would have taken on Wanda/Scarlet Witch’s lines and everything while Serena was Agatha Harkness)

Everyone's powers explained:

I know I went over it a little, but I wanted to sort of explain them a bit. The primary ones - Royce, Bentley, and Vivien - are the easiest to explain as they are the moon, sun, and stars respectively. Like in Magicae Maxima, their powers correspond with a color and, again, they are blue, yellow, and purple respectively. However, for the others, I figured I would explain a bit more as I didn’t go into it much in the story.

For starters, I always sort of imagined Kona as a comet - fiery and ready to blaze a trail, but still connected to the cosmos like the other kids. Her colors are a combination of pink and blue, the colors flowing from one to the other like a lava lamp as the heat comes and goes. The easiest to explain are Carrie, Mick, and Miles, who are fire, water, and lightning. Their magic sort of corresponds to the kids’ powers as well, just not the ones they took from. Carrie’s magic reminds me of the solar flares that arc off the sun, tying her abilities to Bentley. Miles’ lightning is quick and hot, like Vivien’s shooting stars, not to mention it flickers purple from time to time. Then, there’s Mick’s water-based magic, which is a direct representation of Royce’s moon abilities. The moon has a gravitational pull that affects the tide, linking her magic to his. As physical representations of the earth, the older trio have a direct link to each of the kids and their respective abilities, showing that the remnants of magic that remain in them after everything is done with the transfer, still have a connection to their origins.

As for the ones I touched on the least, Dorothea, Brady, and Tommy. As I already stated, Brady is a phoenix, Dorothea is a pegasus, and Tommy is a Cetus or a sea dragon. Again, their magic corresponds with the others, but their magic is different. As representations of mythical creatures, they have powers higher than the kids. Dorothea’s aura-reading, clairvoyance, and overall light magic give her a connection with Vivien and Miles; Brady’s heat, light, and fire generation powers give him tie-ins to Carrie, Bentley, and even Kona; and, even though we don’t see him, Tommy’s water manipulation and weather control abilities are a direct link to Royce and Mick. I sort of see this as an Avatar: The Last Airbender type of deal, where there are multiple facets of a person’s abilities, and they just have to find it in themselves to make things happen. The possibilities are endless, really; they just have to find that out for themselves.

Yes. Is the short answer. It's weird, and kind of creepy, and a violation of privacy. Anything I say after this is not an excuse or justification that it's OK, but more a reflection of how we (collectively, culturally in the fandom culture sense) got to this point, and why BOC is powerless to stop it even if they had any interest in doing so.

Part of it is that airport fashion became such a prominent part of kpop culture, really being pushed by cultural and fashion icons from Big Bang. So it hasn't been that long really - maybe 15 years at the most, but now Korean idols especially dressed to be seen. if you promote a culture where stars are dressed to be seen at the airport, then it follows that fans will go to the airport for a chance to see their idols. It's that simple.

Just as BTS inherited a lot of fans from 1D when 1D broke up in 2015, KinnPorsche's release in relation to BTS's hiatus announcement also in part helped pushed KinnPorsche to even greater heights. BTS fandom still remains incredibly active, but it's the same way it was with 1D -- the fandom wouldn't get regular updates, and suddenly there was a something interesting and at least worth filling the time with until BTS came back. It's the same reason BrightWin and 2gether became such a big thing when by itself, 2gether was fairly typical of other Thai BLs of its era. Or why Animal Crossing was such a massive hit. The timing affected its success.

(For more context, you should watch this video about the science of luck. A little funnier tidbit, when he talks about running the simulation 1000 times to pick candidates -- that is in fact how machine learning (my job!) works. The tl;dw version of that is to say that talent itself isn't the only factor - success is very reliant on luck.)

So back to your question - inheriting fans from a kpop fandom also means inheriting some of kpop culture. And many post-Hallyu Wave fandoms originating from Asian countries as a collective push for soft power via media output fashion themselves after Korea's success. For example, we don't see this airport culture retroactively affecting jpop fandom (which has a long-standing history) the same way. It's more in countries which fannish cultures are still more malleable and developing their own identities.

In the same way, it's inherited a lot sasaeng culture as well from kpop - specifically, individuals or groups who have way to much access to private information they shouldn't, like flight information.

There's two other factors: few Thai actors(/idols) have been flying out of the country to work and promote as much as MileApo have. At the beginning (for KPWT stops), BOC wasn't encouraging fans to show up at the airport; they were just there. And also going to the cities because they were dedicated enough to support KinnPorsche and BOC outside of the country. And then when it became difficult to manage, BOC more formally organized these more airport sendoffs because they knew people would show up anyway. It was at least a way to help control the chaos, as a courtesy for the airport staff.

Airports are public spaces; BOC really does not have any ability to limit an individual person's presence at the airport, even if they try to discourage as a whole.

That leaves a weird space for these follow-the-actor sessions at the airport when there isn't a send-off announced by BOC, but groups get flight information and word spreads around. Or, when they're past security, which is not a public space.

From Mile and Apo's perspective, I don't think they're necessarily "ok" with this, but there is also very little they can do about it, to an extent. Following them and recording them on a plane has loudly been declared a no-no, as well as openly exposing their travels when they request fans don't because it's for business under wraps (eg. Pond and Apo flying to Europe to iron out the Piaget deal). Unfortunately, it seems like in the general space of the airport, they have to trust fans be judicious in what's an appropriate distance to stay away, and what is appropriate to do/photograph. When fans do violate that perceived barrier (e.g., mil3mile/CaiCai trying to hand Mile a note then throwing it at Apo's head, or the fans who kept stalking Apo in Shanghai despite requests to leave him alone on his trip and irritated a man at the airport into throwing a bottle at Apo's direction), other fans are at least more quick to punish these offenders to this perceived violation of space... though, again, if we're honest, photographing them esp past security, or seeing them off at the airport when they didn't announce it was for fans is... already that.

It's really hard for BOC to curb. But if they want to even address part of the root issue -- which is that there's someone internally who's leaking information to sasaeng/groups likely for financial gain -- they have to be more willing to clean house too. Apo's Shanghai flight wasn't the only thing leaked -- fans knew he was going to show up at iQIYI headquarters too, at what time and date. There's a lot going on that Pond can't control here, and I don't fault him for. Even if they catch one or two internal instigators when they find out who, the damage is already done.

So tl;dr yeah it's weird and sometimes uncomfortable, but become kind of normalized through the way that fandom has developed recently. And it's also very hard to curb, if BOC tries. So some of it is just managing it as much as they can at this point.

Thanks for the question. I think I'll also be more judicious in the airport I stuff going forward. It was always something I said I would continue to revisit, and post at my own level of comfort.
