Kishiar replied with a thoughtful expression.
"You've done well, Nathan. Don't approach either side too closely, keep watching the situation, and next, inspect the locations marked in this book as well."
"Understood."
"Ah, and don't forget to bring chocolate cookies the next time you come to report."
"...Understood."
The response came, somehow a beat slower than before. Before leaving the room, Nathan Zuckerman stared at Yuder for a long time, then exhaled deeply and turned his head.
Nathan giving Yuder the bombastic side eye everytime Kishiar gives him these errands is peak comedy. My evil, rich mother in law "Stay away from my son Duke" Nathan brainrot is getting worse every chapter
The thought of Nathan Zuckerman mingling among the servants lined up to buy cookies, beautifully garnished with dried fruits and decorated with colored sugar powder, was not something he wanted to imagine. Even if it was for the sake of pretending to be decadent, having a swordmaster like him run such an errand was something only Kishiar would command in this world.
Even Yuder feels bad for him lmfao. He would've been in Nathan's place, suffering,if he hadn't lost focus and had a consensual workplace romance with his boss XD
...would have at one blow put an end to her misfortunes, had not King Marcus, whose love for Yseult daily increased, though ever so ill requited, rushed from behind the area, where he had hid himself in order to enjoy the pleasure of hearing her voice, and took her up in his arms, before she could fulfill her desperate purpose. He then left her once more to the care of Brangien and Dinas, charging them to keep a better watch, and not leave the Queen one instant to herself...
...As for Marcus, seeing that it was his nephew, he considered nothing but his piteous condition, and was the first to recommend him to the care and skill of his royal consort.
Favourite relationship trope (romantic or platonic):
Clingy Character A who has always been told they love too intensely and overtly & Character who doesn't know what it is to be loved unconditionally, surprised and awed and overjoyed at being loved so shamelessly so Character B
wondering about Frank and insects but specifically about how it looks like the WH insects are highly stylized, so does Frank even know anything about real butteflies/insects?
& if he saw a real one, would he recognize it? are all of the species names he applies to the WH bugs real, or are they all made up like "Vibrant Eyespot" or "Fluttering Heartwing"?
and then there's the question - does the neighborhood have some of the more 'undesirable' bugs like moths, worms, roaches, spiders? does it have bugs outside of the generic groups of beetles and butterflies? like are there mantids? leafbugs? dragonflies? weevils? or are those too specific/complex/not-cute for the Playfellow Workshop to have included?
and then there's the question of what are the bugs? props? puppets? are they alive or do the neighbors just perceive them as such? Do they even exist outside of art, storybooks, and animated segments? I highly doubt they're alive like the neighbors are, since in the gif of Frank's head spinning, the framed butterflies' wings are moving. which is kind of horrifying if you think about it for more than a second.
just... the critters Frank loves so so so much being a complete fabrication... every piece of knowledge he prides himself on / delights in knowing being utterly Untrue... oof
in my ending of the dsmp, wilbur finds out abt exile and captures dream, dragging him back to that sorrow filled sand and trades him to XD, the revival book in human form, XD loves his rules so he accepts. XD turns dream into a portal to Limbo, where wilbur gets to see ghostbur eye to eye.
They get to talk, 'i thought you hated me.' 'i could never hate you'.
wilbur wakes up in the sand alone, but with a fullness in his chest.
He makes amends with who he can, he leaves the door open and the window cracked.
He rebuilds Lmanberg with his friends and family, on the side of the crater, homes line the walls with ladders, stairs, and porches.
There are long tunnels expanding out to other nations, other homes and towns, they trade together, they visit.
Hes not president, he doesn't want to be, theres no cabinet, just people. Tommys taken on the leader role, keeping the history alive is important to him, Wilburs proud of him, and he knows when he leaves, theres something to always come back to
its not perfect, things never will be, but its their life, a life they've dug out of the mud and polish everyday.
seeing posts about the damage that skyward sword did to the nuances of lore in zelda games (bc the whole thing with demise and hylia in canon really is the start of flattening the lore down to always be extremely black and white with no grey in between-)
and wholeheartedly agreeing but also thinking about how i have written the storyline in destiny and it putting a whole other context on it all and kinda wanting to know how other people think of seeing it that way when i just only got the first chapter done and its still just my cringy fanfiction and most people probably not being interested anyway (thats ok) and it not mattering anyway bc you can make up anything you want anyway so its got no impact on the lore anyway-
but also i cant help but feel like i need to defend demise in a way bc i KNOW his introduction did alot of damage to the lore but feel like its not really fair to pin it all on him as a character bc he also suffered from that one-note thing all games past skysw have, he also is a one note villain with no lore other than -is evil- and similarly dubious design decisions, but with even less characterization and even LESS screentime so naturally people dont like him or care about him at all bc after all he also negatively impacted the way more beloved villain (gan) and people not liking demise bc of everything is absolutely justified but i still feel sad about it bc he is my blorbo and somehow feel responsible for making him into an actual character with a background that isnt just -evil demon- and attempt to change how people feel about him but i would never butt in on someone elses post so i am wiritng it here instead
Dennis had been giving Dee money for weeks to tip for coffee. Dee, on her own volition, bought a lottery ticket with the money instead. 2 weeks pass and it remains in her purse, un-scratched. The ticket falls out and into the street. Mac spots it and claims it for himself. Right after picking up the ticket, Mac is almost crushed to death, but Frank calls out which prompts Charlie to kick Mac out of the way, saving his life.
Based on the scene at face-value, who do you believe is the actual owner of the lottery ticket in Hero or Hate Crime?
(To clarify: I am not asking who you think deserves it, but who you personally believe the ticket actually belonged to at the end of the chain of events?)
Explain your reasoning in the tags if you feel passionately!
I met people I knew only online for the first time irl last night and I'm still extremely exhausted cause I am not a social person so here. Take an OC.
Katale (Kitty) is wonderful and I love her and she's a criminal and that's fine. She likes to look cute and so whenever I see a really cute outfit in public with a specific vibe, I'm like "Kitty would love that". So here. Please. Please know that I saw this very pretty woman jogging with her hair pulled back, running shorts, and the CUTEST top with a little scarf from the same fabric tied and wow. It was. So wonderful, please have a wonderful day @ the lady I saw jogging yesterday.
