Part SEVEN of "Clone Danny"
Red Robin, Danny recognizes, steps away from him as he sits up. "My name is Phantom," he signs, blinking the exhaustion out of his eyes. (From Red Robin's perspective, it looks like he has no eyes. There lacks his signature green glow.) "I'm not a gang member, just an out-of-town vigilante."
Red Robin frowns at him, an uncertain grip on the bō in his other hand. "Phantom?" He repeats, no lacking amount of suspicion in his voice. "How can I believe that?"
Right. Yeah, okay, that's fair. Danny shrugs at him, and slumps against the wall. "Google search?" He gestures, he's been out in the daytime before and he's seen the news articles about him.
Red's eyes narrow at him and Danny simply draws his knees up and faceplants into them, half-listening to Red's murmurs into his comm while also trying to get some extra-shut eye.
("Oracle, can you pull up anything on a vigilante named Phantom? The guy here is claiming to be one." Tim says.
"On it."
"Is this Phantom wearing a white mask?" Bruce asks, his voice gruff like an aftershock. "There's a vigilante who shares the same name, but he resides in Illinois."
"Is this guy from that Amity city you visited ages ago?" Says Tim, before shaking his head. "Don't answer that. Yes, he's wearing some freaky mask. I said it reminded me of Hood's helmet for a reason."
"I've got something," Oracle interrupts, "Bats' right. as usual. The Phantom of Amity Park, not much stuff of this guy but he's only been out for over a year. Apparently, his rogues' gallery consists of ghosts."
"Oh great.")
"Look tell the Batman that I'm sorry for trespassing on his turf," He signs irritably when Red Robin eventually starts talking to (re: interrogating) him again. "It's not like I want to be here."
"How did you get in Gotham anyways?" Red Robin questions, batman was on his way to help deal with the situation but Tim doubted he wouldn't get caught up on the way with dealing with petty crime. "Your turf is nearly a thousand miles away from here."
"Two words." Danny deadpans, "Teleport ghost." (Red Robin winces sympathetically.) "I'm keeping this bastard in the thermos for a month for this alone."
(Danny was ignoring the slow-choking anxiety growing in his lungs over how he was gonna get home. He never takes his phone when he goes out, the risk of breaking it was too high. He had no way of contacting anyone to get him home.)
(He swallows the growing lump in his throat, and buries the feeling in the back of his mind.)
"Thermos?"
Danny unclips his Fenton Phantom Thermos off from his belt loop and shows it to Red Robin. "My ghost-catching device," He says with one hand, tilting it carefully for Red to inspect. "I wish I could say I made it, but its a FentonWorks invention."
(He wasn't sure if it was a smart idea to say who it belonged to, but saying it wasn't his probably loosened up any tracks on him, right?)
"Do you work with these Fentons, then?" Red asks, and something dark and shadowy flickers from the corner of Danny's eye. He glances over, and sees nothing, and his hackles raise.
(Either that was Batman, or a ghost, or Danny's mind playing tricks on him. He couldn't feel his ghost sense building in his throat, so he decided it was either the latter of the former.)
Danny snorts, quiet and gruff. "No." He clips his thermos to his belt again, stifling a smile on his face. "The Fentons hate me actually, I prevent them from catching ghosts themselves. Their son gives me their tech."
He had a cover story, so he might as well stick with it, right?
Batman shows up at that moment, appearing atop the little roof where the door is, and giving Danny a heart attack when he speaks in his low, rumbly voice like thunder rolling in, "Why would they hate you for that?"
Danny shoots up to his feet with a startled yell in his throat, clutching his chest as he whirls around and looks up. He nearly runs into Red Robin, and signs a few choice swears at the Bat.
"wow you're scarier in person, asshole."
"you didn't answer my question."
"Of course I didn't, you scared me." and Danny takes a trembling step back when the Batman jumps down and lands on the roof in front of him. He's faced ghosts before, but somehow the living is always scarier.
"But, um, the reason is a bit.. complicated, I guess." He says, fingers beginning to shake as his adrenaline wears off. God is he tired. He wants to go home. "The Fentons are the local ghost hunters and local crazies. I don't know if I can call them mad scientists because they're harmless to the living."
"But they're extremely anti-ghost. I've heard from their son multiple times the very unethical things they would do to ghosts if they got their hands on one."
Danny 'talks' a little more before calling it quits, even telling Batman that he can't tell him more without putting his identity at risk.
Plus, its getting harder and harder to hide his bone-deep exhaustion and his growing fear of being stranded in the most dangerous city in America with no way home.
"I would love to tell you more, believe me I'm dying to." Danny signs, shaky sarcasm dripping from his fingers. His hands are visibly trembling and he's withholding a slowly growing panic attack. "But I would like nothing more than to figure out a way to get home."
"Do you have no one to contact?"
"Sort of. But only one of them could probably come get me and get me back to Amity by sunrise. And I have no phone."
That one person being Ellie.

"Aww, man!"You hear bakugo hiss from the floor. "This always happens!" he cursed, standing up.
You try to breathe as quietly as possible but you knew it was useless.
Katsuki had great hearing.
He turned around at lightning speed looking right in front of your face.
"Y/n?" He asked.
"Shhh! Keep it down! I don't want the others to know I'm in here!" You whispered, putting your hands over his mouth.
When he nods, as u finally remove ur hands from his mouth and let them drop to ur sides
You did your best not to look down and admire his half naked body.
"Why are you in here?" he whispered. "Were you spying on us?" he asked, raising an eyebrow.
"NO! The girls wanted to pull a prank on you guys but I ended up getting stuck in here!" You explained desperately.
"Oh!" he sighed, smiling a little. His face soon dropped. "So...did you hear everything then?" he asked, looking down a little and blushing.
You were way too aware of the lack of room in the closet. You was an inch away from being pressed up against bakugo body and it was driving your mind a little wild. Your imagination was going crazy with the possibilities. You were finding it hard to concentrate.
"Not everything…" you said, wanting to tell the truth but not wanting to sound like you listened in on purpose. Even if you did.
"Fuck. I'm sorry, Y/n" he said, a little desperately.
You watch him, confused. What was he apologising for? He still looked down, away from you and he suddenly punched the wall beside him.
You flinched as a bunch of equipment fell off the shelf and landed behind u guys. He jumped forward to avoid u getting hit and ended up flush against You
"You're really close" You whispered, feeling his hot breath against the exposed skin on the top of your chest.
His head was still facing down and his lips were millimetres away from your cleavage. Your closed eyes, trying not to think bad thoughts. He was your best friend. You are not supposed to be in love with your best friend. He was probably in love with another girl.
Your heart was pounding and you could feel your skin getting slick with sweat.
"Y/n" he said, barely more than a whisper. You could feel his lips brush ur skin.
You couldn't help feeling like the room got hotter. You felt a fire spread through your body, rushing through your veins until it pooled at your lower belly.
His head rose until you were face to face. His eyes were hooded and his lips were close enough to kiss.
"Katsuki?" You asked, feeling the whisper of his lips against your own.
"What did you hear?" he asked, his voice deeper and raspier
"I heard you talking to Kirishima about a girl and then you guys all arguing...and the other stuff" you blushed, thinking about katsuki saying he was bigger than Kirishima . You swallowed, trying to dispel your bad thoughts.
“So you don’t know who I like?”he asked, squinting his eyes to assess you.
"No" you sighed, and paused before adding "I'm sure they’re wonderful though…"
You looked down, unable to meet his piercing gaze.
"Why d'ya say that?" he asked.
"Because any girl that you like has to be wonderful. Just like you" you said, sadness seeping through your voice.
"Yeah.. They’re pretty wonderful"
"Well I'm sure they feel the same way and you can get married and have kids. Have the perfect life. You wouldn't need me anymore..."
"Man, I think about havin' kids with them all the time" he said, moving his head so he whispered it in ur ear. You shivered. "But you're wrong. I'd still need you"
"W-Why?" You spluttered, feeling urself go red.
"'Cause they'd need their mum and I'd need my wife." he said cockily, drawing his face away from your ear so he could watch your reaction.
You immediately blushed more than before and spluttered.Your heart was running a mile a minute and you felt the familiar heat settle between your legs.
Before u could think about it any further, he kisses you.
It was a little hesitant at first, like he was worried you was going to push him away, but as soon as you responded, he pushed back with a renewed passion, as if his whole body was overwhelmed with the need to kiss you.
It was like he had caught on fire, he moved his lips against yours in a frenzied passion, not wasting any time as he pushed you against the wall behind you and let his hands wander, not caring about the equipment he knocked to the floor.
Katsuki was actually kissing you. Did that mean you was his crush? It must be, right? He practically told you they were going to get married and have kids. You was pretty sure if he asked then you would say 'yes' immediately to either suggestion.
U moaned, unable to keep it in when realised that having kids with katsuki would mean having katsuki.. seemed to take it as a good sign because he pushed further into you, pressing his body flush against urs so that u could feel his thick erection pressing into u.
U gasped as bakugo took the chance to push his tongue into you mouth, tasting and pressing his tongue against your own. He tasted like gunpowder. That was the best way you could describe it; warm and smokey just like his smell. It turned ur legs to jelly and, if katsuki had not grabbed roughly onto ur hips, u would have collapsed in a puddle in the ground.
The shuffling of feet outside only made katsuki pause for a minute, stilling his lips against urs, before he continued again. Obviously deciding that kissing her was more important than being found out. U couldn't disagree, and u found it flattering that he felt the same.
Luckily, no-one entered as Katsuki’s hands wandered from ur hips, pushing under ur shirt until they rested on the bare skin of ur side, his thumbs skimming the undersides of ur breasts.
Your heart was pounding against ur chest, your breath hitched when He pulled away to look at u with hooded eyes.
"Y/n," he moaned, before he ducked his head to kiss ur neck. U raise ur head to give him better access, shivering as u felt all of his burning kisses.
You weren’t exactly sure how they had gotten to that point but you was just about ready to rip ur shirt off when Katsuki started tugging at it. He only paused his hot kisses for a moment to throw the material away, taking a minute to groan at the sight of ur breasts only clad in a lacy bra, before he pressed his lips against u again, taking advantage of the newly revealed skin by kissing his way over the top of ur chest.
You grab tightly onto his back, so tight u swore u must have dug ur nails in, but neither of u noticed as Katsuki’s hands slowly made their way to the back of your bra.
"Shit wait Katsuki~!" You cooed, forgetting that they should probably be quiet considering their surroundings.
He deftly unhooked ur bra.
"Shit, y/n. You're even hotter than I imagined." He groans, watching ur chest intensely, as if he was trying to memorise it for a later date.
Before u could even reply - or question the fact that he had imagined u naked - he had dipped his head down to take one of ur nipples in his mouth, rolling his tongue around it experimentally until u gasped. He used a spare hand to play with ur free breast, pinching and moulding it until u were finding it hard to contain ur moans.
He pressed u further against the wall and grinded against u, swearing at the sweet friction it created. Just as he was about to buck against u again, u wrap ur legs around his waist to get closer together. It was so worth it when u felt his hard length rub u again.
"Ah! Katsu! So good!" You cried, hardly able to make fully formed sentences.
Head clouded with lust, you pulled one hand from his back and snaked it around his front, slipping it into his boxers to explore the one part of him u had never been able to touch before. He hissed as u wrap ur hand around him, moving his head away from ur breast to press ur foreheads together. His eyes were scrunched shut and he let a gasp out as u gently rubbed up and down his shaft.
Before u knew it, bakugo was pulling off ur shorts and diving a hand inside of ur panties. You gasped - unsure whether it was because of the shock or the pleasure - as his hot fingers found ur clit and started gently massaging it.
"So warm," he moaned, moving his face so he could give u a lingering kiss. "Fucking Wet," he said, as he slid his fingers along ur slit, trying to find ur opening.
You was desperately clutching onto both his back and his erection, moving ur hand faster so he could feel just as good as he was making you feel right now.
You bit back a cry as his finger finally slipped into ur entrance. It was new and strange but it felt so good and when he starting moving it in and out u had a hard time remembering what u were supposed to be doing.
"So good," you gasped as he let another finger slip inside you. "So, so good!"
He started moving his fingers fast, teasing ur clit with his thumb.
"Come on y/n." He demanding, curling his fingers until u let out a quiet scream, "Fuck. You need to come."
You weren’t sure if it was his demand or the way he kissed u - hard - after, but it u shattered instantly, Katsuki swallowing your whimpers as u came on his fingers.
U could still feel his hard, throbbing erection in ur hands and u knew u were far from done. You needed him. So bad

your toxic könig is so perfect and the more recent posts made me think about a similar kind of au but with gromsko. like god i need this man to """force""" me into being his perfect little wife i swear.
AND IM SO SORRY but being slavic also makes this even more feral for me because i imagine the second his gf shows a bit too much independence/DARES to talk over him (yeah it's an achievement to be able to talk over him, the mf is LOUD)/etc he just. goes feral like he sees it as a challenge and he needs to show her what a slavic woman is actually supposed to be like.
but slavic or not he'll keep holding the fact that he "tamed" you over your head even when he's fucking you. talks about how this is your place, this is where you belong and how he's going to make sure you remember by breeding you full.
Omg Gromsko OMG
I'm so normal about him yes yes it's just your ask that made me this way ^^ I'm blaming you my dear anon 💕
CW: Protective & possessive behavior, implied sexism
So, Gromsko. Your car broke down in the middle of the road and this absolute bear of a Pole pulls over to help you. He has a charming smile, sure, but he's also obnoxiously bold. That casual masculine bravado makes you feel weaker than it should; there's this aura of shameless pride about him, and you can't quite decide if it's annoying or sexy.
You try to tell him you can handle it, that the repair guy is already on his way. But Gromsko? Hah. He just bypasses that shit. Pops up the hood and gets to work. The car is fixed in no time, and the next thing you know is that you just said yes when "Sobieslaw Kościuszko, pleasure to meet you, miss," asked if he could take you out to dinner this evening.
And it's true that he's loud. Like, why does he have to talk by half shouting...? (Probably because he has to make it known that he's the strongest, most virile male in the area.)
Sobieslaw always sits with a wide spread, with a broad, tall chest, with a confidence that seems to come naturally to him. He never tries to make himself smaller, no matter how crammed a space is. Everyone except the elderly has to move aside when he walks because he's not going to dodge or sidestep. You're not the only one who fears he will eventually break one of those dainty little chairs in the fine dining place he brought you to; the waiter side eyes this man like he's some beast that somehow got in and should be caged, not fed.
Despite all that brass, Gromsko is a proper gentleman. Always opens the doors for you, always pays at a restaurant. And always grabs your waist and draws you closer if there are other men around. Guy looks like he's ready to get into a fist fight for you if it comes to that.
It's kind of hair-raising how he laughs at the very concept of independent woman. His woman should never have to be "independent." It would be an insult to him as a man if his wife had to go to work.
He tells you how beautiful you are with intensity and passion that seems to come from another age. That boundless adoration makes you feel drunk, and Gromsko doesn't seem to notice anyone else but you – it's like all other women have disappeared from this planet.
He lays siege to you like crusaders of old laid siege to a city. You never have to fear whether you're coming off as too interested or eager or that you'll "scare" him away: this man is always more interested and eager than you. Still, you fear that everything will come to an end once you give this man what he wants – namely, sex.
You couldn't be more wrong! He's not fucking around, and he's not dating for the sake of getting laid. He's looking for a wife and a mother for his kids.
An infuriatingly sexy, uneven smile spreads across his face everytime you meet. He's checking you out, and he's utterly shameless about it. You're being rated like cattle, and it should not send butterflies to your stomach when you notice he seems to more than just approve of your hips and breasts. Little do you know Sobieslaw Kościuszko has already decided you're to be his wife.
When you finally spread your legs for this man, you expect him to fuck you with the urgency and attentiveness of a 20-year old hockey player. But Gromsko is actually a skilled lover! You don't know why and you don't know how, but he seems to decode you and all your weaknesses in record time. Hot kisses and intense love making are his bravura. Gromsko is so attuned to you and your pussy that it should be illegal.
It's like the gods made this man to breed women and spread his seed because he has the biggest balls you've ever seen. He doesn't grow all too soft after climaxing, and continues to fuck you even after you both just came. With sloppy patience, sure, because you're practically begging for mercy under him… but the point is that he just won't stop. He continues to pump you with strong hips and infinite stamina, and groans how perfect you are as you approach your second orgasm.
He places so much trust on his cock that, perhaps surprisingly, you're the first woman he has ever put his mouth on. It's the only thing that makes that eternal shield of pride tilt aside a bit, because he hates it when he doesn't know what he's doing… but neither is he a man who backs down when faced with a challenge!
He doesn't know what he's doing, which means he takes a mental note of every single thing that makes you shiver and sigh. This Polish bear learns to please you and just you, examines how you respond to slow licks and fast laps, sucks on your nub until you cry, and when he sees how much you enjoy his treatment, this man goes crazy.
"You like that, kochanie?" He pants between your legs, drunk on your pussy, swearing in Polish and giving lewd comments about how wet you are. He only ups the pace with his tongue when you cum. You're an overstimulated mess, but he's not done. He crawls on top of you and gets down to business with his thick cock, those heavy balls start to slap against your soaked flesh until you feel like you have no brains left.
"It's easier to just stop fighting, kotku," he seems to approve of your wet, moaning state more than anything. But it's the wickedly pleased gruff of "Let's get married, Słoneczko," that sends you spiraling into another overstimulated, glorious orgasm.
You don't even know that he's already told his whole family about you. You don't yet know that his grandmother already loves you. But it starts to dawn on you that you got more than you bargained for when Gromsko informs you that he'll take you to Poland but only as his wife.
Perhaps that's where this man's charm lies! Gromsko simply knows what he wants: a good loyal wife and a nice, large family. If you can give them to him, he's not wasting any time getting you pregnant. You're knocked up before you even know it, there's a ring on your finger before you get to say Na Zdrowie. You're his little wife now, and there's nothing you can do about it ❤️

does anyone remember when i was tdp on main years ago... probably not... well with s4 around the corner i got an idea to write something that will most certainly not age well and be disproven in a week, please enjoy <3
~
The mission had to be secretive.
Despite all of Ezran's bids for peace and a new friendship with the Dragon Queen, the human nations - and Katolis especially - were still... wary, of the idea of hosting elves. It was hard enough to lobby for the friendlier Earthblood and Skywing elves to come and trade goods, but the thought of hosting Moonshadow elves after the assassinations?
Yeah, it wasn't happening anytime in the foreseeable future.
But this mission was different, personal. It had come only a few months after Callum's birthday, when he had desperately sent off a letter, "d chatted with Soren and with Gren for the rest of the details, had been stupidly hopeful. Despite his naive hope, he hadn't actually expected anything to come out of it; he knows her too well for that, knows her sense of pride would have her avoid everything until it stands directly in front of her, but he had still hoped...
...well, the fruits of his labor now stands in front of him, clearly uncomfortable in the stone of the palace.
"I appreciate your cooperation in this," Callum says as he leads the way to his own chambers. "Most of the people of Katolis are still... hesitant around Moonshadow elves."
"I cannot say I blame them," Ethari says, and his hood drops now that he's indoors. "I must admit, I feel the same, knowing tragedy has befallen us all in this very place."
At the very least, he's... considerate. Callum admittedly hadn't gotten the greatest impression of Rayla's pseudo-father figure in the short time they had met, except that Ethari had humored his bad jokes and had, at the very least, seemed to love Rayla very much- that had to be enough for now.
Even now though, he droops with the heavy weight of grief, and not for the first time, Callum is reminded of all he and Ezran have fought for since the day their lives changed.
"You got my letter, so you know why I've invited you here," he says instead, choosing to ignore the heavier nature of their conversation. "Two of the finest people I know have both testified that the leader of the assassins was kept alive before our previous high mage vanished him, and though I can't tell you exactly what happened to him..."
"...I understand," Ethari promises, and there's a visible slump to his shoulders as they finally reach Callum's room, where he's prepared what he has found. A bow, shining with elven magic, found in Viren's own lab along with the mirror that Callum has hidden away. It could only belong to one; in fact, Callum had seen its owner wielding it only moments before it had been used to fatally end his stepfather's life.
Some part of him, bitter and vindictive, had wanted to destroy the bow in vengeance. Instead, he had polished it and kept it as a reminder that even his enemies have families and lives of their own.
"I'm sorry I couldn't do more for you," he says as Ethari grasps at the bow, holds it like a long-lost friend, close and tight to his own heart. It reminds him of the way King Harrow had cherished everything of his mother's after she died; everything including Callum himself, though he only realizes this in the bittersweet ache of hindsight.
And yet, as he remembers what he had seen in the lair of the Dragon Queen, remembers the fate that he just needs evidence to prove, he keeps quiet. No need for false hope, not yet, not when he doesn't even know if there's a cure.
"What you have done is more than enough, I know what he took from you as well," Ethari says remorsefully, and he finally looks up at Callum once again. "But I know you did not draw me all the way from Xadia just to gift me Runaan's bow. What troubles you?"
Callum hesitates, and then commits. "It's Rayla," he confesses. “She’s been gone for months now, and I… worry. She hasn’t talked to you?”
He doesn’t know what he’s expecting. Somehow, he had hoped that maybe, just maybe, Rayla’s first stop after disappearing had been to drop by the Silvergrove. He doesn’t even know if she’s still Ghosted, and the way Ethari’s face falls seems to confirm what he had been fearing.
“Rayla is… free-spirited,” Ethari says, and his lips curl in the barest form of a smile. “She loves hard, but she also has a sense of… righteousness and duty, the kind of person who’d risk everything on a whim for what she believes is right. She’s done this time and time again, and it seems this time, you were the casualty and not the cause. It’s hard being the one left behind, isn’t it?”
Callum sighs, and his heart aches in his chest as he stares forlorn at the ground. “I just wish I had been enough for her to stay,” he admits, and it comes out wretched, hollow. It’s nothing he hasn’t thought before, but he’s kept them buried, not wanting to put the pressure of his own problems on Ezran or Soren, not this time.
“Don’t be so hard on yourself,” Ethari steps forwards, gently placing a hand on Callum’s shoulder. It draws Callum out of his self-inflicted stupor, and he can’t help but relax at the way Ethari looks at him; it feels strangely comforting. “One day, she will come right back to you as though nothing has changed and preaching about her goals and what she’s accomplished, just as you two did to me. When that day comes, make sure to stop by the Silvergrove again, will you? I’ll ensure that you two receive a safe welcome.”
The implications - that maybe, Ethari will be able to remove Rayla’s ghost status in her town, has Callum breathing a sigh of relief. “Will do,” he grins, and a thought occurs to him. “You know, in some weird way, you’re probably the closest thing I have to a father figure left, too.”
“Ah, is that so?” Ethari chuckles, and he slings the bow across his back, still holding it with gentle hands. “Ah, to be a single father at my age… might as well break my back now.”
Callum laughs, and despite the circumstances, he’s finally feeling… not better, but maybe okay with the situation.
Besides, he thinks as he sees Ethari off again, it probably won’t be too long before I see Rayla again.
Right?

The Pen Pal Plan, chapter 5
Link was relatively calm, but she still hated to see him threatened like this. "He's done nothing wrong!" Zelda choked out, finally finding her voice again.
The guard with the black eye, Avon, if her brain didn't let her down, scrutinized them, one-eyed gaze hopping from one to the other. "Well, all I can see is that he's drinking on duty and has been caught in quite a compromising situation with Hyrule's princess after abducting her from her other guards."
Link went pale beside her, hands sinking, but lifting them promptly again when he suddenly had a spear in his face.
"Please!" Zelda hissed and nervously glanced at the other guests of the tavern. They were slowly but surely making a scene. "Link is the last suitor I intended to meet." She pointed at the paper flowers. "Look, here's the Silent Princess we agreed on to identify ourselves. We only drank one glass of wine and he's been the perfect gentleman the whole evening." She blushed but held his gaze. "Everything between us has happened consensually. There — there hasn't been a single moment where I was in danger."
Boots scraped over the floor, the guards stepping back. Avon cleared his throat. "Well then, I apologize for the interruption. We'll take our posts, Your Highness. Just continue as if we weren't here."
Link and Zelda exchanged a look and burst into a fit of laughter, nourished half from relief and half from the ridiculousness of the idea. They were surely not starting to make out with a bunch of guards standing around them!
"Thank you, Sir, but we'd prefer if you accompany us back to the castle," Zelda explained. "It's been a long day for all of us."
Avon bowed. "Whatever you order, Princess."
Zelda nodded and under the gazes of the other tavern occupants, they slipped into their hoods again and went outside.
The sun had long set and they had to rely on the torches Avon and his men had organized. Words were sparse on their way through Castle Town's alleys – the guards were busy keeping an eye out for a potential threat among the straying festival goers and Link and Zelda walked quietly next to each other, too.
Zelda didn't know where to put her hands. She fiddled with the brooch of the hood, crumpled the hem of it, and wiped her palms on her pants. Everything had changed since the guards showed up and she couldn't tell anymore what would be appropriate. They had nearly kissed. Would Link still want to do that? Maybe the reaction of his fellow guards had changed his mind, he had nearly been thrown into the dungeons if not for her word…
"Zelda?" A chuckle, next to her. "Are you nervous? Your hands are uneasy. Are you afraid your parents won't approve?"
"What? No, no, they'll accept my decision. And if my father trusts you already, he'll be very pleased."
He smiled, firelight from the torches flickering over his face. "Okay. Maybe you just need someone to calm your nerves."
Zelda hummed quietly, shoulders dropping when he took her hand in his. Yes. She needed him to calm her. "Thank you," she murmured.
"I guess we need to get used to the situation with the guards, anyway," he whispered back.
"Probably, yes.” She leaned closer, whispering in his ear. "But I'm not going to get my first kiss from you in front of them."
"Nope." He popped the 'p', promptly drawing attention to him. Waiting until the guards had turned back to the road, Link murmured, "Okay, but how are we going to do this? I–I would really like to kiss you tonight."
“Oh, that's no problem at all. They'll leave me to my business as soon as we're in the safety of the castle walls.”
Link frowned. "Really? Your father has two guards with him for every step he takes."
Zelda giggled and tugged him closer with her hand. "That's only because Mama pranked him one time too many."
"No way!" Link stared at her with his mouth open.
"Yes!"
They continued their walk, leaving the hectic mingling of music and people of the festival behind them. The cold air of the winter evening was clear and the frozen landscape between the town and castle humbled them into silence. At the gates, however, the rhythmic clanking of boots halted, and inside, it was as Zelda had predicted. The guards announced their goodbye, leaving them on their own.
Now, it was Link fiddling with the hem of his sleeve.
"Would you mind accompanying me to my room?" Zelda asked, giving his hand a squeeze. "We can go the way over the castle grounds so that not everyone stares at you."
"I'd love to."
She guided him the long way around the arcades and alleys. Did he think about what this evening meant for his life, too? It must be ten times more life-changing for him.
Zelda had wanted a suitor, skies, she had prepared a whole year for finding one, but the reality still felt strange. Not in a bad way, far from it! She already knew she was crushing hard for Link's simple words, his cute smile, and his easy politeness. Maybe it was relief disguised as nervousness.
Without gathering too much attention, they entered her wing from the far-east side and were nearing her door. Her shoes seemed to have turned into iron boots and Link wasn't faring any better next to her.
"Sorry," he squealed and released her hand that he had squeezed a little too tight. A little frown appeared on his face and he looked around, searching. "Where are the guards?"
"Hm? Oh, they're only here when I'm in my room."
"Your father…"
Zelda grinned, pulling him closer to her door. "My mother hid a mouse under his blanket once."
"She seems like fun to be around."
"Oh, she is. But she won't spare you."
They smiled at each other bashfully, running out of topics for small talk.
"So, um, it was a really nice evening." Zelda shifted her feet nervously, promptly hitting the door. "And I, ah, enjoyed our pen pal ship a lot."
"Yes. Me too. A lot, I enjoyed it a lot, too, I mean."
"I wouldn't mind if we meet in person more often, though. I mean, you still can write if you want, that's not it."
"Zelda?" He breathed, eyes searching hers, fingers flexing at his side. "M-may I kiss you?"
Her words wouldn’t come out, every thought consumed by the tenderness with which his hand came up to her face and pushed the hood she was still wearing down, so she just nodded.
He stepped closer, both hands cupping her face. He was cold everywhere where he touched her, but she couldn't care less. His lips hovered over hers, breath stroking over chilled skin. Lashes fluttering shut, he still waited, proving himself the gentleman she trusted him to be.
"Kiss me, please," she muttered against his lips, half fulfilling her plea herself.
His lips were warmer than the rest of him, soft and firm at the same time. She sighed into the kiss, erasing his nervousness. His hands grew more sure and in a whisk of possessiveness, she grabbed his hood and pulled him against her. They stumbled against the door, but Link kept the rhythm steady, opening up to her. She didn’t hesitate to follow. This was all she ever wanted, Link was all she ever wanted. Someone to talk the night away with (and yes, kissing), someone who balanced her overthinking out, someone who teased her. Someone to be Zelda with.
They broke apart and she rested her forehead against his, both hands holding his face and unwilling to let him go just yet. His eyes mirrored the fond expression her gaze held for him and he smiled. “See you tomorrow?”
“Yes.” She smiled back. “And the day after tomorrow and every day after that.”
“Sounds like a plan. I- I hate to say this, but I’m back on duty tomorrow… and your day has been long, too. So…”
“It’s okay, Link. I’m tired, too.” She cupped his cheek for a last time and leaned in for another kiss. “See you tomorrow.”
She resisted the urge to look after him as he descended the stairs with light feet and went through her door with a dreamy smile defining her face. What a day. First the creepy weirdo, then the incident with the carousel, and oh! She had completely forgotten about the boring poet. Giggling, she slipped out of her shoes. Serves him right! To communicate solely in verses, how odd and off-putting.
“Good evening, little bird.”
Zelda shrieked, whirling around, her hands shooting to her chest. “Mama! Goddess, you gave me a heart attack.” Catching her breath, she went over to the armchair where her mother had curled up and was reading a book in front of the fireplace.
“Oh, I apologize, I thought you’ll notice the lanterns but I guess you were too absorbed in your thoughts.” She yawned and put the book aside. “I was too curious about how your plan would play out. I assume that you’re so late is a good sign? And the thud on the door?”
Zelda shrugged out of her hood and put it away, drawing closer to the fireplace. She was still cold, especially her feet. “Yes. I’m happy to give you a detailed report tomorrow since literally everything went wrong, but I still managed to make my decision.”
Her mother laughed. “You managed to make your decision? Come on, give me a little more. Is it the last one who wrote the adorable letters?”
Zelda nodded. “Yes, his name is Link and he— wait. Do you hear that?”
Someone played a tune on a flute or something similar… no! An ocarina!
Not a second later, Zelda was on her balcony, shivering in her blouse.
Link stood at the foot of her wing, a small ocarina raised to his lips and playing a familiar song. The pale moon illuminated him, making his blond hair shine like pure silver.
Wait, was that… yes! He played her lullaby. Tears shimmering in her eyes, she waved her hand in greeting. The last note rang through the air and he smiled, pressing a kiss to his fingers and lifting them to her. Then, he disappeared into the night.
Zelda lingered, sighing contently, but her mother pulled her back in and gave her a cardigan. “Oh, how cute! He’s a guard, right? I recognize him. That explains why he didn’t disclose his profession.”
“Hmhm.” Zelda wasn’t able to do much more than hum, her emotions leaving her still in trance.
Her mother chuckled and pulled her into a tight hug, roaming her hands over Zelda’s frame. “Guess we have a wedding to organize, huh?”
Zelda nodded into her chest, the pleasant warmth and the scent of her mother’s safe arms forcing her eyelids to waver. “Not today, okay? Give us a little time.”
“All the time in the world, my little bird,” her mother said and pressed a kiss onto her hair. “All the time in the world.”

I'd like to thank @hkzv for drawing my boy again, as one last Pride Month piece. I had this image in mind for a while because I wanted to write a small scene to go with it. And the nice touch Hkzv put into the art of matching Kouta's hoodie to the binder truly is such a sweet thing.
In addition to my boy Kouta and his Raijuu, there is also a little cameo from @uchihashisuii 's wonderful girl Akari Nara.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
He makes sure to open and close the door gently when he finally returns home for the day after work. With an upbeat mood and unusually good energy level, he's in no rush and no hurry to destress and so has time to make sure he's careful with everything he does. But it seems even his muted volume actions have caught the attention of someone else who is currently home. While Kouta takes off his shoes, hoping he hasn't tracked in too much dirt with him, he fails to notice the brown eyes that peek around the corner at him to examine who has entered the home. And when he looks up again to see himself being watched, he jumps just a little bit in surprise.
"How was it today?" Akari greets him, keeping her voice down so as not to jostle him more. She knows well by now how easy it is to startle the former Taki nin even on a good day. "You seem like you're feeling good."
Kouta collects his wits and puts on a smile for the Nara matriarch. She definitely didn't mean to catch him by surprise and he won't hold it against her. "I think it went well. It's good to have a day out of the shop anyway, didn't feel like getting so sweaty for hours working in close proximity to fire. I already need a shower badly and that wouldn't have helped. Probably going to take one before bed tonight."
She laughs to herself a little as she examines his usual outfit of choice and considers the irony. And to boot, the hoodie is definitely zipped up all the way today. But she's just glad that he has had a productive and easy day and so hopes that whatever he has planned for the rest of it only makes it better. Anything that takes his mind off the fact that his partner is absent, because said partner had told him not fixate and make himself feel more lonely, was a good thing. Kouta carefully unzips the hoodie now that his shoes are off but opts not to remove it entirely. At first she's unsure why but after examining him a little more she figures it out. Which is about when the hood itself moves slightly before a little furry head pokes out to look at her.
So he let the little beast have some time out today huh? At least it seemed to be behaving at a cursory glance. Whether that was because its chosen enemy was still absent today or not was unclear and Akari figured it was better she didn't know the answer to that question. Instead, she bids the two farewell as she still had business to attend to around the estate. "If you need anything you won't have trouble finding me. And don't hesitate to ask. Take care, Kouta."
He waves a little and returns the sentiment. It's a little formal but he tries to maintain that level of respect for his partner's mother.. "Thank you and take care. I'll see you around Ms. Nara."
Akari slips out of his sight in the next moment and he can hear another door open and close quickly as she heads to her next destination. Now it's most likely just him in the house as he knows Shisui is probably off on a mission and Sai is over with his fiance at the Yamanaka sector of the village, perhaps even helping her out in the flower shop. Kouta is overjoyed for him when he sees how happy Sai is with the life he's leading these days. That lovely woman Ino adores him more than anything else in the world and the two are so good together. Truthfully, the wedding couldn't come soon enough if you asked the ex Taki nin.
His train of thought is cut off then by the feeling of his animal companion scrambling out of his hood to drape across his shoulders like a gaudy but warm fur stole. In its clumsy movements the fabric of the hood clings to it and manages to work over his head as if he had put it on himself a little haphazardly. Rather than fix it yet, he let the Raijuu get comfortable again and settle down before he went and messed with its former choice of bed. And eventually the hood was forgotten altogether as he managed to make it to his room, train of thought still blissfully empty. By the time he realized he'd forgotten to fix it he didn't think it was necessary. No. There was something else that caught his eye in that moment that became his priority. And when he reached for it, his strange animal companion suddenly scurried down the length of his outstretched arm and tumbled onto the bed.
"Don't you try anything." He scolds, not taking his eyes off the bold little animal currently getting its bearings. Kouta thinks he knows what it's thinking and is proven right rather quickly.
The stray Raijuu, true to form, immediately grabs hold of the article of clothing lying on the foot of the bed with its little teeth and shakes it lightly. It knows exactly what it's doing and Kouta can only sigh as he watches on. After a moment, he reaches over with one hand as if to say 'give it here' but his constant companion only slinks further away from him. He knows it can understand him even if it can't talk back. He's aware of what's going on and he refuses to feed into the bad habit by yelling and chasing. This is not a game and eventually that will sink in.
"I know you can smell Shin on that binder because it belongs to them. I know you're doing this because you don't like them." He keeps his volume reasonable. No need to make a scene in the middle of the day. "They'll be home in a couple days and you gotta be nice to them. You gotta go easy, okay? They will need gentle care for a while and that means you're not allowed to be spiteful."
Its eyes lock with his for a few moments as if it's considering its next move internally. And, to his surprise, it begins to come over to him with the binder still held in its mouth. When he reaches over for it again the weasel relinquishes the item without a fuss despite looking like it wanted to continue to play keep away. Kouta brings the thing up out of its immediate reach and examines the binder closely, letting his mind wander, almost forgetting he's not alone in the bedroom. There isn't any damage to the well worn fabric caused by sharp little teeth thankfully. Though, even if there had been holes poked through, he would have made sure to repair each one carefully.
"Thank you for being nice this time." He manages to get out, a little spacey, and his weasely companion seems to finally give up the rowdy mood.
Now he holds the article of clothing up to eye level, looking at it from every angle, thinking about how long they must have had this particular one. There may not have been any bite punctures inflicted this time but it still showed its age and level of use plainly. It wasn't the same zipper one he had first seen on them years earlier. No, Shin had told him that that one was a gift from their mother after they had had some issues getting in and out of a pullover one as a teenager. At some point they had had this one made special. It was another pullover but they didn't mind since they had him around to help with removing it at the end of the day in the case that it was causing a problem. Kouta never minded the task. By now the colorful fabric, patterned like the agender flag, was wearing out bit by bit and seemed like it had been pretty stretched out. In any other version of events this is when he would have had a new one made for them. But thankfully the days of binders were finally over. He couldn't be happier for them at that fact.
"Yeah...I can't wait till they're home." He quietly talks to himself. It makes him almost not register the sensation of a small animal scaling his upper arm once more to rest across his shoulders. When he does fully notice, he very gently raises one hand to the Raijuu to stroke the fur on its head. "Can't say the same for you though, huh? You better be good to them or I'm not letting you have any out time for a while." Despite his scolding, he's laughing just a little. And his pouting pet makes no motions to suggest it's intending to give him any problems.
After a few more moments, Kouta sets the binder down on the end of the bed once more. He'll have to move it somewhere it won't fall on the floor later. And find a spot to store it as soon as his partner was back from their hospital stay as they no longer needed to wear it. He was missing them terribly the more he thought about it and almost wished he didn't have to go back to his shift at the shop tomorrow. Instead, he'd like to go see how they were recovering after the surgery. But they'd told him before all of it that it was better if he kept himself busy instead of worrying over them all week they had to stay for post-surgical care and monitoring. It pained him to say they had a point but he could find no way to argue with that logic. Shin knew his habits very well and thus knew how to keep him from falling into the bad ones over and over.
"You wanna go see what we can't get as far as food goes maybe?" He talks to the Raijuu on his shoulder as if it could speak back to him. The little mustelid does not make a sound or movement but that doesn't bother him. "Okay let's go do that. I'll probably feel better after eating something. Maybe you will too."
So he leaves the binder back where it had been before, making a mental note to move it tonight, as he heads out of the house he'd been staying in these days with Akari and Shisui and Shin. The two parents had graciously invited him to stay with them as they knew his partner, their son, would not be able to do a lot of serious activity for a while and it would benefit them more to have their parents AND Kouta around to help with anything they'd need during the downtime. With this in mind, Kouta and his constant musteline companion head towards the center of his favorite food district, his thoughts never leaving the feeling of missing his beloved partner, hoping that a late lunch would be a great distraction from the melancholy. When Shin was back home all would be well again. Until then, Kouta knew he had to keep himself busy and right now the best way to do that was with some good food. Maybe he'd invite Akari out with him tomorrow after he got out of work so she'd be able to have a break, too, from all she'd been doing.
*Running down a hallway* Zan! Prince Fluff! Where are you? I need your help! I've got Kirby with me and a wish version of red riding hood chasing me! -☘
[I wrote way too much for this (spent too much time on it smh) with only 2 drawings, it's past midnight and I'm tired so no more posts til after I wake up later. That being said this is a very long post with a bunch of text!!]
Meanwhile, with Prince Fluff and Zan...
Tumblr media
Prince Fluff had just woken up, sitting there on the floor groggy and dazed. Zan was looking at him with a concerned expression, her eyes widening a bit as she saw he was ok--well, as 'ok' as he could've been.
Zan: "Fluff, are you ok?"
Prince Fluff: "I...I think so...what happened...?"
Zan: "I'm not entirely sure. You ran off ahead of me, and then I heard shouting followed by you screaming...by the time I arrived, you were unconscious and everyone else was gone. I...I'm sorry I couldn't stop whatever happened..."
Prince Fluff: "Don't apologize...it was my fault for getting so angry with you and running head-first into a bad situation. You were right, I should've been careful...all I remember is Ester's amulet thing started glowing, and then I just felt...overwhelming pain. I guess that's when I passed out."
Zan: "...Wait, his amulet? That means--"
Her sentence was cut short as she heard the voice of a young girl who had floated up to her and Prince Fluff, carrying...wait, was that Kirby? Why was he so...dull?
Tumblr media
Prince Fluff: "Wha--Kirby? What happened?"
Zan: "I've never seen anything like this...it's like all the color was drained out of him, and he looks so...numb..."
Prince Fluff: "Also, wait, Ester might be chasing you? Ugh, I'm so tired of that guy...!"
Zan: "...Wait. What if he doesn't chase after us? Javez probably needs to keep him around near the Jamba Heart for whatever the two of them are planning...and I think they might need Kirby for their plan as well. So...what if he's expecting us to go to him? Maybe we can stall for time and try to figure out how to fix Kirby. Then, if Ester does show up...well, we'll deal with him when we see him."
Prince Fluff: "...You...might have a point...ok. We'll wait here for a bit, but we can't wait too long. That ritual thing could be ready at any time, and whether they need Kirby or not, we're gonna have to show up to stop them regardless in order to save Hyness. ...Do you think he can hold his own for a bit?"
Zan: "I don't think they want to physically harm Hyness any further. The most either of them would do at this point is try to get into his head, which is still bad, but...we can't just rush in there blindly either...let's figure out what's up with Kirby and then develop a strategy."
Prince Fluff: "...Right."
[The focus has shifted back over to Prince Fluff and Zan for a bit. Maybe try helping them develop a strategy for confronting Ester and Javez?]
my mtt designs + design notes
Tumblr media
they had a glow up. anyways same designs just redrawn better!!
horror + killer similarities
unzipped jacket
same pocket type
shorts
actual shoes
jacket fuzz
killer + dust similarities
covered necks (absurdumsid reference)
gloves
socks
same type of fluff (sherpa??)
horror + dust similarities
jacket length
black pants/shorts
(formerly) white shirts
eyelights
lighter colored pockets
ok ok design thoughts....
for horror his outfit is incredibly similar to undertale/horrortale canon because i'd say that he's the one who still considers himself to be the most sanslike so he wants to cling onto that identity (that's why his jacket is still blue.) his clothes are kinda fucked up tho bc living in horrortale messed it up. his shirt has short sleeves under and used to be white but then it got dirty and stained. the only reason he doesn't have gloves like dust is because his fingers keep ripping holes in the fabric and he thinks fingerless gloves are stupid because they're the complete opposite of what gloves are supposed to do (protect the fingers from chills). he used to have a zipper on his jacket also like dust but then it broke and he couldn't fix it despite his best efforts. actual shoes because he has to move around to swing his axe n stuff (even if he has majority of his normal sans attacks like bones and (probably) blasters. he prefers to conserve that magic)
dust i thought that shorts didn't fit him at all and it just felt awkward to draw him with shorts despite the fact that he'd probably still try to cling onto the sans identity like horror (blue jacket = sans) (even if he feels like he doesn't deserve it. a sans who kills is no longer sans.) also he's just more covered up in general to cover himself from the dust all over him (if he covers his head with the hood to prevent dust then why not the rest of his body?) like horror his formerly white short sleeved shirt is now darkened by dust (like the rest of his outfit.) his jacket pockets are different (definitely not because i wanted to give him different design elements than horror and killer no no) because his cigarettes kept falling out of the jacket and he was willing to make the sacrifice to change jackets since those pockets were more secure and he could just put his hands in his pants. dust has slippers because he doesn't move that much in battle unless the enemy gets close to him (and then he goes off and loses a slipper but that's what the socks are for. backup foot protection.)
killer definitely has the most variety compared to dust and horror because of his colors i'd say all because he's trying to differentiate himself from being sans but also trying to stay comfortable (because he's still sans under all that denial. which is why you don't see him wearing those slutty sleeveless tight fitting sweaters. he wouldn't wear that dude...) his jacket is more green and tealish because that's nightmare's color and that's his way of saying he's affiliated (owned) with him. dark sweater and inverted bottom because again he's trying to be different from the classic white short sleeve and black shorts combo (his outfit is still similar enough that he's comfy and looks like a sans.. so is it REALLY that big of a difference? killer says yes but it's really not.) killer has fingerless gloves because holding onto the wood in his knives gave him splinters from how hard he was holding onto them. (at first it didn't effect him but after it kept happening too much and he couldn't hold his knives properly it started to piss him off) but ALSO he wants easy access to be able to actually feel the metal with his fingers (it's a sensory experience for his fucked up nerves that can hardly process stimuli.) the jacket is PURE cosmetic. there is no zipper and the pockets don't actually work and he doesn't have pockets in his shorts BUT he still manages to carry 4+ knives on him either by hiding them in his sleeves, in his socks/shoes, or on the underside of his jacket/sweater/shorts. he has different fluff from horror because the seperated strands on the classic jacket kept on getting stuck to his eye goop and spreading it around and getting stuck to his face and after a while he processed it feeling uncomfortable and it made him look more messy so for the sake of style and convenience he swapped fluff style
First story I've ever written and it's on Wattpad too!
Its been a hundred years since we've been driving..or atleast to that's what it feels like...my toes are so numb that i can't even feel them anymore . "Are we there yet?! It's taking so long!" Evelyn asked. "I swear if you ask that question again I will-", My mom cuts my dad off and i can already imagine what she is going to say next. It's probably gonna be "Oh stop fighting you two!" Or "Stop arguing! you two are finally getting the chance to even be in the same car together!",My sister and my dad never had it easy they would always argue for stupid reasons like what show to watch on TV or about Evelyn's Future plans." Stop arguing With your father!" Mum howls and i know why she said it like that and it's because of her head aches during road trips..Great. "But really dad, how long will it take to reach Houston?" I ask "Just a few minutes" The light on my sister's face cannot be described when he says that,It soon fades away as she realises that dad didn't answer her question but answered mine "You could have said the same to me ,you know" says Evelyn . my dad is all silent suddenly.I try to ignore my dad's tranquility and my sister's headphones blasting rock music and just focus on the road,the buildings and the cute dogs i just saw sitting beside a trashcan. I'm going to Houston to have a freaking Blast with my best friends this summer instead of focusing on Brittany Jade,Tia Stone and the sidekick and wannabe 'mean girl' Samantha Wilson.We finally arrive to my Best friend,Nitaanya's house and to my surprise even Kaashvi is there sitting on the couch watching "Mean Girls". I've known my friends for atleast 10 years now and we see each other atleast thrice a year...and you guessed it ,It was my third time here. "What took you so long?!" Kaashvi asks impatiently "there was a lot of traffic!" I say Quickly because i couldn't think of a better excuse as even i don't know what took us so long to come here. "Hey atleast you made it" Nitaanya says "yeah...atleast i made it" . "Do you wanna sneak out at night?" "What?" I ask Nitaanya as she glances at the window next to the bed "Yeah! We could go for a drive,walk in the park and talk! Like old times.. except the only difference is that we didn't know how to drive in "the old times" Kaashvi says all thrilled expecting an answer right away and I'm feeling like I'm 100 years old. "Ok..sure" i say reluctantly "ok great i have lots of tea in store" says Nitaanya as she winks and me and they leave the room. Now it's just me in this small bedroom thinking about the "tea" that they just informed me about.But i see something that catches my eye,i walk up to it and i recognise it right away..it's the drawing we made when we were 8... It even has our initials on the it - "N,K,R" i see a box next to Nitaanya's closet and on top of it is written in a black bold marker "Only for Nitaanya,Kaashvi and Roselyn!" Im not surprised that she keeps this stuff in her room.Nitaanya is BIG on making memories..I want to check out everything that's in the box but then i hear mom calling me for dinner " Rosie It's dinner time!!" She yells "Coming!" I yell back. As I'm about to put the drawing back and say bye to the drawing  i see someone out the window ,this person doesn't have a hood on..He doesn't have a hood on and i can't explain why i was happy to see that he didn't have a hood on.His curly hair is just exposed and His hazel eyes meet mine and then i try to recognise who this is because i have a feeling i have seen him somewhere before.."Roselyn Reyes!!" My mom yells my full name and this time it gives me the feeling that if i ignore my mom again then she will murder me. So without even replying back i just head straight to the kitchen downstairs and everyone stares at me and give me the looks which said "Why were you late Roselyn? We had to wait an extra 30 seconds for you!". "Sorry" i say quietly but deep down...I know i don't mean it.I sit beside Nitaanya and Kaashvi and to my surprise,they didn't stop staring at me. "What?"
I ask staring back at them "Nothing" they both reply at the same time. I want to whisper "something" to them,So I move closer to both of Them ."I've got some Tea for both of you too"
-You liked the way the sheer shirt hugged his skin.
PAIR: idol!jungkook x reader
GENRE: drabble
W.C: 724
WARNING: none, just them being horny teasing each other backstage lmao
------------
Getting ready to perform, you both were backstage with the boys and, staff.
"you look hot."
A finger slowly tracing up and down the middle of your boyfriend's chest you feel how the fabric touches your boyfriend's skin so well. Jungkook's hands holds your body with his arms around your waist, hooded eyes dominating his gaze.
"I like how this outfit looks on you, a good choice from the stylists" a sensual smirk draws your face, and he does it too biting his lips. Both of your hands touch his defined pectorals all the way up to his neck. Placing a soft kiss to his lips he pulls you closer to him. You know he has just a few minutes to perform but damn.. He looked like pure sin right now. You know It wasn't right, you both knew.
"Yeah? You like it that much?" He lowers his voice -mindful of the people around you- but it was always like this whenever you visited his work. The both of you in your little world.. it was like jungkook couldn't think of anyone else but you and Jungkook didn't even noticed. That was one of the reasons why you didn't visited him that often, also the reason why the boys teased him.
He firmly squeezes both sides of your waist. Goddamn it how much you love the way he touches you.
"mmh-huh" placing a quick lingering kiss to his neck, "I can see your whole body with it. You're so sexy baby. And all mine.." you pull your face away from him maintaining your eyes into him. "It makes me want to kiss your whole body.." He chuckles and does the same. "thank you so much baby." a pretty smile draws his face, eyes glistening while looking at you with so much love in him."I wish I could just do the same to you right now... and you know it." He was all head over heels for you but you weren't left behind.
Anyone that could take a glance from afar could tell how much in love you guys are.
In moments like this though..? You both always wanted to destroy each other and had this high sexual tension going on in between trying not to fuck each other and give the staff or the boys, THE show. So Yeah, it was hard to keep it together.
"are you staying at my place tonight right?" His face is close to yours, he's trying to calm down his crescent future boner.
You laugh, "of course baby"
A tiny moan scapes his lips but only you can hear it. purring to your ear, "so good baby. I want to fuck you so bad."
You feel how he giggles at your ear with his hot breath and a new wave of arousal pools into your underwear. "If you don't stop right now.." sensuous to him, your fingers meet the back of his hair trying not to go further and damage his hairstyle,
He pulls away from you, laughing. "ok.. ok angel" a pretty smile meets his face. "I get it"
"Jungkook we should get going now" Jimin approaches once he's done with his make up.
"Yeah.. let's go until both of you eat each other.. damn" yoongi says at the back.
"were you looking at them the whole time?" hoseok humorously says teasing him.
"no, but you don't really need to try hard to know these two are doing something tonight"
"YOONGI--" You playfully call him.
"what? Am I wrong?"
"PERFORM RECORDING ABOUT TO START" a staff yells
"Let's get going now, that shouldn't be in our business" namjoon says and they all follow him while playfully talking to each other.
"I think we should be more careful?" Jungkook says soothingly pulling away from you.
"Yeah.. A finger up into his chest.. That says a lot of things y/n" seokjin says.
"HEY--" You yell at him playfully though, you thought their teasing was funny because you knew they were probably right. It was obvious. But you also couldn't resist him a viceversa.
You both shyly laugh it off. He gives you a tender kiss, "I'll get going now princess, if it gets too late just go to my place and I'll meet you there ok?"
"Ok baby.." You kiss him back. "Good luck! I'll be watching."
"I know you will~" he bites your lips and with that he's gone.
[1:02AM]
putting a bit of effort into it you open your eyes, tired after waking up from what felt like a long nap.
your head still was unsettled, confused, looking around the place you found yourself at. by some point then you manage to recognize the living room and the nice sofa on which you were lying, such things from nothing less nothing more than the comfy, simple house of your best friend, sanha.
honestly no matter how much you tried to recall it on your mind, nothing reminded you of what could have happened for you to wake up there. despite how it was already one habit of yours to often visit this house where the tall, half black half blonde haired boy used to greet you in with his bubbly smile several times, and of course with his extra peculiar style, ripped pants, bandaids and chaotic printed t-shirts you always thought to be funny.
to be friends with a professional skater since high school days wasn't so bad, after all sanha was indeed one of a kind, such a mature and high spirited boy. he was such a nice goofball, always ready to talk about any topic, share taste on music or learn new things, the actual opposite of what people say about someone like him. sanha has always been an amazing friend, making you feel comfortable and your days a lot lighter every time you went to see him after dealing with responsibilities.
whether your short visits were to spend some time for both of you to help each other with things about studies or just when you missed spending time with him, you were already a common guest. for textbooks and notes purposes or for when it'd all turn into laughs, popcorn and your best friend's favorite games, or even in skate competitions he used to bring you with him at the square down street.
or else, when you'd also come to secretly see the black haired handsome man always on his casual clothes living there with your friend, who at the time he was home would stay sometimes in the kitchen, sometimes doing his works outside at the small desk near the garden, sometimes practicing sketches in his own room.
sanha introduced him as his older brother bin, who unlike him was a lover of all kinds of arts. whom you shouldn't pay so much attention to, but before your mind could go against it all of your thoughts were just as they ended up. constantly filled with him, with the need to see him everyday.
however now instead of going on trying to figure out any other possibilities to what could've brought you there, or even letting your thoughts wander over sanha's brother again, you hear calm footsteps approaching and immediately close your eyes, burying yourself on the sofa's recline. there you pretend to be still asleep, yet not understanding why your first reaction was like this, if it could be just your best friend.
for a few minutes the atmosphere remains monotonous, but soon enough turns tense as you feel someone come too close. two strong muscular arms embrace you carefully, bringing a sweet smell of shampoo you instantly could recognize so well. since the time when, in a game match with your best friend and his brother, both you and sanha attacked him with tickles for being the loser, as a form of punishment. you'd never forget it, for how it was your very first time hearing bin's boyish giggles, and touching his so silky, smooth hair, like a thin fabric tinted by the late night hues.
all of this together sent your heart pounding madly, already knowing who was there with you, especially when his jaw's downy skin brushes against your face for the proximity. at first he made a kind of awkward attempt to put you into his arms, in a position you could be carried comfortably. after one more try he gets to pick you up, and just when he easily manages to hold you firmly in bridal style, taking you off the couch like a light plush on his arms, nervousness started taking over you in silence as you couldn't assimilate where he planned to carry you to.
albeit a bit sudden at times and without much control of his own strength, except when you saw him drawing extremely detailed lines with his tattoo needle for customers at the studio he worked in, to where once sanha took you to bring him lunch, albeit he was too broad and intimidating, and his own homemade food didn’t always come out good for that little rough way of his no matter how hard he tried to do something thinking of you and sanha, albeit it all bin was always too gentle, too loving. it was so much whenever he'd open his mouth to talk with such sweetness and even a tiny bit of timidity to express his thoughts, even though how excellent he is with words, all of his little 'eh?'s when he'd be confused or cute neck scratches, you'd never believe he'd be a professional tattooist for years. he could normally work for all kinds of people, from madams to rockers, and do any type of drawings, from small daises to pretty complicated dragons and skulls. you'd have no clue of it if sanha didn't tell you, also about the fact bin always wanted to be a dancer, but because it was just the two of them and life tends to adapt itself according to necessities, he never thought about doing tattoos, yet casually came to work on it with time.
outside his job bin always took good care of his younger brother, though the troubles sanha would occasionally cause or how mischievous he could be even with him, and bin had to hit his head sometimes. all of his gestures were always docile, humble, treating you as if he was also a friend, and always being a real gentleman. not mentioning the countless times he had his crescent moons smile on up his eyes, just utterly enchanting.
all of this inevitably got you even more lovestruck, and your heart weak, no matter how hard you tried to muffle down those feelings. bin remained as the only man whose your mind and its daydreams for hours never grew tired of, the only one who gave new colors to your days. the more you knew him the more you were sure you couldn't be in any other way than hopelessly in love with him, too affected whenever he'd be around.
before you'd notice it you were thinking about this, about all you kept hidden inside for him. so you just settled yourself to forget what would be going on and let him believe you were really asleep, although in fact tension ran down your nape feeling his body's warmth, heat uncontrollably up your face while you leaned against his large chest.
after a few minutes of more footsteps sounds on stairs and doors opening through he carried you, bin stops at a certain point, slowly placing you carefully over another soft material, which you deduced to be of a bed.
you held yourself static, thinking he'd soon leave you there to rest and go, as you figured out sanha's brother probably would do so by his cordiality. nevertheless almost all at once you were simply taken aback when the male leaned on the bed, and slowly on top of you. his elbows and one knee supported him over, in such a way that made you too weak under his figure covering yours up, as if he was like a huge brown bear in charge. shivers hardened your shoulders, as you feel a heavier breath against your face.
"i know you're awake." he says softly, yet his characteristic boyish voice sounding way huskier than normally. you instantly open your eyes in disbelief over what you've heard, and just so your cheeks turns crimson, realizing how both of you were just few centimeters apart. his stunning almond eyes sparkled brightly into the room, dark and hooded while staring deeply at you. every one of his features on his manly face were lined on a serious expression, seeming concentrated, but almost fatal.
"bin.." all you could do was just mutter his name sheepishly over embarrassment, only to get a sigh from him in response. "shh..." his index finger lightly touches your mouth, tracing its tip to the corner of your lips, your hands starting to sweat cold just by the small contact with his digits.
bin then suddenly towered over you, without removing his intense brown irises from yours and rests his arms around your face, so his long fingers would now caress your hair. solely in this move his body quickly cornered you on the bed by his height. butterfly swarms rush into your stomach, as for a few minutes both of you kept quiet, staring intently at each other.
you swallowed hard. any trivial action like breathing now seemed dull, with him there so close to you as never. bin was like the definition of being drop dead gorgeous, every detail, every fiber of him exuded beauty, to almost seem unreal. through these few seconds watching him you couldn't keep your eyes from wandering, over each one of them. his thin, dainty rosy lips, which looked a little swollen, begging for another one's touches. black hair strands resembling the universe's dark matter hovering messy on his slightly sweaty forehead, and over his expressive frowned eyebrows. soft, milky skin which became a little more flushed as he stared at you, thick neck exposed by his t-shirt colar, wide shoulders covered by his cardigan tucked on his elbows.
oh everything about him was, so breathtaking.
although you couldn't understand why he was doing this, for how in your head you wondered why such an attractive man like him, who anyone would want to have, was there looking this way at someone so simple, still you couldn't hold back such things he made you feel. too many things screaming for you to let them out. and it was just the same for him.
"you know what.. damn it.." you heard bin break down the silence with a shaky whisper, and before you'd realize or question anything he placed your noses together in a soft brush and collided your lips with his eagerly, both of you sighing in the contact.
fear still was the main emotion taking over you, even though you closed your eyes right away and gave in to him, millions of beautiful sensations coursing through your veins at once. you simply didn't have any idea on how to act, what you should do in the first place all because of the frozen state his attitude caused, something you'd hardly come up with in your dreams by how far out of your reach you thought it'd be. however now you just put everything aside, gradually melting away with your knees getting weaker, as you felt bin kissing you in an irresistibly slow, delicate way.
not even through any of your deductions with yourself you'd imagine these little things which had your heart to almost explode now, that his nose would be so soft, and his lips would taste so sweet, velvety in their texture extremely hot and moist, pressing and moving gently as if they were massaging yours. easily you were found anesthetized, like one who reaches the ninth cloud. when they started to move more, just a bit hungrier between small sucks created by him and nibblings on your lower lip, you began to gradually further correspond them into the kiss, wherein he lets out quiet sounds, his pulsations so out of control and his cheeks burning red just as, or perhaps even more than you.
bin was still trying to not lose his composure. still trying to keep the feelings he had hidden for you from being all poured out at once, like a waterfall.
since the first time when sanha introduced you to him as his best friend, after he came home from a rough day at work. since then when you smiled saying your name and he could sense flowers blooming all over his chest, stealing the air on top of his lungs. to every time you locked eyes for too long or your hands accidentally touched his when you'd volunteer to help him in the kitchen. every little conversation, every time you patted his shoulders to encourage him when his brother would as well, never looking intimidated, like most people he knew.
he didn't want to show each drop of his honesty so fast in case you wouldn't flinch, but it was too hard when he had you there kissing him back, only the two of you in this moment, feeling you not repress him but otherwise, just wanting his touches as much as he's been longing for yours. he couldn't help but lose his mind more and more into each of your small actions. your hands timidly plugged on his waist, almost embracing it while his warm, long fingers intertwined with your hair strands, that somes mixed a little in his bangs, or your leg unconsciously poking his. in a way that without noticing bin tightened his arms more around you as well as the pressure of his chest, looking for more and more closure to you.
it didn't take long until the male would part his lips like a bud's petals, and so you shudder with his hot tongue there rubbing your lower lip, asking for entrance. you just give in not even being able to think through all the flustering this new sensation sent on you, and bin slowly deepened the kiss, making it fulfilled by all the so suffocated attachment you had for each other.
little by little his tongue slides in intertwining with yours, as the first thing hitting you was the fresh flavor of his chocolate mint cereal bar, which you were used to always see on bin's hands or pockets, and it just added an even better feeling through you explored his mouth. plenty more touches come up between the two of you so that the male, after staying still in the same position for a little while, suddenly slides one of his arms down. his huge veiny hand grips firmly and gives light squeezes on your side what caused you to jump a few times, running it down in a path of pure shivers to your hips, until he catches your hand still on his waist and without any previous warning pulls it in, under his shirt.
air immediately hitched on your throat out of shock, but bin was immersed, focused on only feeling you more. in the intervals his tongue's tip traced your mouth tilting his head for access, and when he brought it back so he'd press and gently suck your lips with his, the male kept the pace guiding your hand on his large back. slowly he also brought it down to the point of his firm, built up abdomen, which caused chills on himself, and moved your palm to make contact with the warmth of his absurdly soft, fragile bare skin inside the fabric. uncontrollable pulsations took over you the moment you get access to this new touch, your head in a fog of only bin.
this one was indeed a little different from the docile person you knew, with his contagious smile behind gloves and a tattoo needle you were so used to see. instead bin showed to be such an intense man, and why not say sexy, full of alluring gestures you didn't know how to handle, solemnly irresistible. over an impulse you make up a little of courage and start moving your hands by yourself, caressing and feeling his muscles, that have always been apparent on his manly athletic body, as each of his proportions under the shirt.
"god.." he suddenly said under his breath in a way sounding too sensual from his gracious, still husky voice among the kiss, melting completely in sensitivity and a cardiac mess because of you. bin then pressed a few more pecks a few more times on your lips, not wanting to pull away but doing so already for running out of air, through both of you parted trying to catch it.
yet you fail miserably, as soon as you see your best friend's brother face, completely flushed and breathless. his coffee colored eyes dripped fondness and loads of tiny stars all together, eyebrows pressed in such a lovely, affectionate expression you swore you never saw anything so endearing in your life. if it wasn't for another beat skipping your chest when you noticed a small amount of saliva, that you could clearly define as traces of the wonderful kiss of a few seconds ago, in the corner of his mouth.
as soon as he notices your widened eyes, bin's face changes and he cleans it by licking his lips seductively, as if he knew how much it affected you. the cardigan he wore falls from over his shoulders and he removes the cloth piece, dropping it on the floor. a small smile sprouted on his captivating features when he looks over at you watching him, as he lowered himself to your neck, putting his lips near your ear.
"keep going.." bin closed his eyelids, feeling the characteristic and comforting smell of fabric softener on your clothes. this smell which he always had on his memories from that day he shyly hugged you on your birthday, that now made him ask sweetly into whispers for your hands on him again, pressing more of his fine body and chest against yours.
his hips suddenly rolled down in a slow move, stimulating waves of electricity and adrenaline onto your stomach, your state now broke into sighs. you squeezed his waist slightly and involuntarily, moved by your latent feelings as he nuzzled against your neck, like a fluffy cat purring. bin was panting still heavily, sending incessant shivers down your spine.
"bin... you.. you're too much.." losing any lasting control over yourself you buried your face deeply on his shoulder and grabbed his huge biceps, letting out any first thing that would come out of your mind.
he smiled against your skin with a muffled chuckle, light and content for how cute you sounded to him, what got you even weaker as well as over the moisturizer perfume on his exposed collarbones by his shirt, before you went to fulfill his request. soon enough your palms were all over his muscular back once more, massaging them in up and down movements. bin took time to appreciate the feeling of having you into his arms, touching your hair, your nape, your lower back, or your cheeks where he decided to put gentle, tender kisses, that got you forgetting even more about the destination of your fingers under his shirt.
they ran all over his torso, sides, down to his beautiful abdomen once again to trace trembling patterns with your fingers under his stomach, running them up to reach the area of his chest, where you accidentally touch one of his nipples. bin stopped when he felt the stimulus, letting what sounded like a frustrated moan resonate in response, and you move your hands right away. yet you didn't expect him to feel so flustered to the point of, having his weight against you, to this time start distributing wet kisses, full of desire onto your neck and jaw.
in the middle of them bin took pauses where he sucked some of your skin to mark it slightly, or moistened each sensitive spot he left with the way too warm texture of his tongue. his hands also return to be entirely over you, one putting stronger, breath taking grips and squeezes on one side of yours as the other entered under the hem of your sweatshirt, his thumb touching your belly's area. each thing he did left you helplessly more and more of a mess for him, while his hips gave another roll once again in an enticing motion, causing you to feel an inevitable friction you tried to ignore but his moves only made it harder and harder, between his thighs wrapped tight by his jeans and yours pressed in the middle of his from jumping so much with his touches.
"sanha, saw you fell asleep, and asked me to take you to a room.. i went to see you and heard, you mutter my name.. saying that you wanted to have me..." for a moment, your eyes widen in realize, and finally you get how you were there.
your mind gets back remembering how sleepy you were before you'd come to see sanha, something which was again the result of another pulled night thinking about life, studies, and about bin constantly, about how incredible would it be if you had the courage to confess to him. but before you could even die of embarrassment for letting your dreams go too high right at your bestfriend's house, right next to him, bin slowly brings another trail of his warm kisses up your neck, eliciting quiet whimpers from you this time, especially when he stroked your waist skin inside your sweatshirt and reached for your earlobe, instantly capturing it in his mouth to suck on the small cartilage.
"do it now.. do whatever you want." you heard him confess with a bit of difficulty on his tone, for the much any response from you for now would mean to him. therefore he stopped, pulling away as he looked at you with sad traces, insecure.
bin needed to know about you, to get a reassurance from you, one more time of you expressing fully whether you were in love with him as much as he was with you to let yourself stay with him more, or if not, as hard as it could be he'd stop there, despite how reciprocal everything was from your side. he didn't want just a make out with you.
uncertainties still bothered him inside, through several sleepless nights spent on his room's desk among all his draft drawings and work notes, but thinking of the stupid, probably one sided attachment he developed for you, growing everyday because of how regularly he could see you. way too quickly you stole a space on his heart, bigger than the passion for art and colorful designs his job gave him. even when his needle did its work putting on pigment, when he found himself alone before a customer would come, he often wondered about what you'd feel, if you saw him only as your best friend's brother, if it'd be too risky to try and tell you what he felt.
there wasn’t one moment in 24 hours all of this didn't cross bin’s mind for once as the days went by, but he was too afraid of being rejected, to the point of thinking his brother could have much more chances with you. though he left all these things aside when he finally heard you demonstrating something for him as simple as saying his name on your sleep was, losing it all while he held you on his arms.
and so you knew you had to get all that fuss of feelings off your chest at once before the chance slipped from your hands. before you had no option but to go back to your routine of sinking in sighs about what could have been, wanting to be in his arms for a day, when you wanted it to be always.
taking a second to comprehend his eyes you raised your arms around the middle of his back to caringly engulf him on them. it caused bin to unhesitatingly lower himself again, resting his chin on your shoulder and hold onto your lower back, his heart rushing loudly, unsure by your action.
"i want what you want, love.." you confessed as well, still feverish for his previous caresses. then you just rested your face on his shoulder, and with all the sincerity within your heart you tightened your arms in a hug, trying to show your intention of making him feel exactly this, your simple embrace.
love.
as he heard you clearly when you hugged him, the moment you loosened the grip bin pulled his body a little away to look at you again. his serene, loving eyes flickered until they were deeply on yours, oceans overflowing with hope and anticipation into them. "did you say.. love?"
"yes, i.. always wanted to call you like that. can i?" your knees flutter with your own question, just by the idea of being able to call him as something that in so long would describe him so well for you.
bin, however, sighed till the bottom of his lungs, both now filled as everything within into a magical warmth, through every inch of his longing feelings were complete over his exhale. he wondered if he was dreaming, if this was finally the pure and graceful joy of touching clouds, or the lightness of blowing dandelions to the wind, of knowing that you felt the same, despite how he still couldn't believe it at all.
"you're so cute, i adore you so much y/n. if you say it like that, i'll be addicted to you.." the male's palm comes back to find itself cupping your cheeks, as his fingertips against your ear. once again you watch his fascinating gaze and face too close to yours, his irises, his lips to his shoulders, as if it turned into a new habit which would give you life. his voice sounds honeyed, like a blanket on winter, yet intimate, breathy.
almost as an immediate response you blinked repeatedly at the main three words on his first sentence, as of it didn't take long until you blushed violently trying to proccess everything, surprising bin while you placed your wrists at your nose's level to hide your face. you were now too caught up on a mixture of inexplicable waves of euphoria and emotions hitting you, too overwhelmed at all of these extremely heartfluttering things he just said so naturally. god, indeed he was too much to handle, but he still was your favorite.
"don't do this, fool! i adore you too.. a lot.." with your wrists still there your embarrassed expression only increase as you let out, but soon you moved them aside when the sound of his soothing laugh echoed into your ears. "wow.. i guess i'm the happiest fool now."
bin was smiling widely, grinning, perhaps in the most angelic, genuine way among all the days you've seen him do through routine. the crescent moons forming his beaming eyes harmonized as his lashes half closed with the curves on his lips up, giving room for two light dimples, forehead aligned with yours, emotions all over that you still couldn't read, as of relief and affection at the same time on his details. to hear him laughing in a tender and so spontaneous tone, his body seeming relaxed, comfortable, and to be a part of it almost like watching stars at midnight, all of this also made you smile along with him.
without being able to express too many feelings at once or what you'd like to say to him now you simply place your fingers against his face, the small, gelid earring on his ear, touching his bangs between them dearly, as if he'd be made of crystalline glass. another silence raised as you both kept looking at each other, like the night stopped passing around you, until bin draws another small smile and breaks the short distance again.
you took a deep breath, grabbing a certain spot on his shirt when you feel all the coziness of his thin lips pressing more kisses on different points of your face all slowly. on the area next to your nose where he placed the most of them, or on your mouth as he initiated another sweet, luscious round of lips on lips, pulling you closer and closer by your lower back, which seemed to be his best choice for a comfort zone.
but it doesn't take long for his attention to turn back to your neck, stopping to scan and softly trace his thumb on the small crimson hickeys he left there.
"some of them, look like tattoos... sorry, i.." bin whispered, trying to explain himself somehow embarrassed, but gets interrupted by you taking the initiative to hold on his back and get closer.
there you bury your face on his neck and kiss him gently, under his jaw to the beginning of his collarbones, as of every inch of his velvety skin flushed hot and sensitive in goosebumps where you explored. still being a bit taken aback bin shut his lashes and rested his cheeks now tinted in shades of pinkish hues against yours, disarmed by your suddenness. the more he felt your timid lips going so intimate on him, the more unrestrained beats and pantings had the best of him at that moment, bin no longer being able to maintain the same calm. you always had that power to leave him like that, definitely. the only one who ever did.
"there's something i always wanted.. but first tell me, if you want me by your side." one of his thick arms hug your waist, a barely audible moan escaping through he said out without thinking at all, just letting himself upon your guidance, locked on your touches.
the moment you proccess bin's words and what they'd mean your fingers slip from curling the silky strands at his nape, also leaving the curve of his shoulder where you planted more confident kisses, as if by magic your heart was sent on another unbalanced marathon. did he really ask it?
"of course.. of course i do." you answered his doubt with your whole chest, and it was all he ever waited to have you saying.
bin didn't know what exactly made him feel so lost on everything about you, wishing to stick to your side more and more. but he knew it was such a thing way too heavenly for him to not want to dive deep in. one drink, or a way too pure cup of water on thirsty times he'd last there appreciating till the last drop, a room wherein he'd feel better than in any other, or even a necklace he'd carry on himself everyday, a permanent tattoo.
any way it all should be, he wouldn't care. as of the moment he heard you a smile flourished across the corners of his lips again, and in a matter of minutes he held your sides pulling you with him as he sat back among the sheets, placing you onto him all too fastly and strongly in a way you had to look for support by putting your trembling palms on his chest.
you were left once more in a loss of words, swallowing hard over another wave of butterflies when you found yourself held sitting on his lap and facing him, through he gave you such a dangerously charming, sexy smirk, gaze so intense it almost knocked you dizzy like you never thought to be. yet less even would you imagine he'd strip off his t-shirt right in front of your eyes, and reveal his toned, absolutely perfect torso, all of his muscles there totally exposed from collarbones to his lower abdomen, where a black butterfly spreading its wings showed up printed on his skin at his side. bin just let your shocked eyes hover on the sight of his whole sculptural half naked body, before he'd glue your foreheads and squeeze your sides excitedly, also giving attention to your right thigh caressing and gripping it with his other hand through he adjusted you on his lap.
"everything i want is us, y/n..."
he couldn't wait to throw aside his stupid composure with you.
Summary: Two years after the events of Barviel Keep, Varian has tried to adapt to the expectations brought by being a King’s Ward, with mixed results. Haunted by ghosts, Varian is forced to face the demons he tried to leave behind in Bayangor when his abdication is forcibly stopped by a third party, out for revenge against the Bayan Royal bloodline. On the run, with few allies left to turn to, Varian finds himself chasing a ghost through a series of tests that only a true heir of Demanitus could ever hope to pass.But the shadows are ever present, looming and dark, and not everything is as simple as it might seem.
Notes: There are many things of interest, buried deep in the earth.
The adder stone was a slight weight in Varian's hand. He idly played with it, watching how the carved runes seemed to glitter in the sunlight. It was hypnotic, the shimmering light of subtle magic playing through the stone in delicate wisps. Ori had said it was good for lost things, whatever that meant, but he’d neglected to give any more information after that, instead opting to shuffle them out the door with a grin and a wave.
They'd gone back to the boat after the events of the early afternoon. Ori's cabin, it turned out, was only a small walk back to the center of town, so the trip had been brief at best. Rapunzel had kept a hold of Varian's hand the whole walk back, her grip tight and unyielding as she borderline dragged Varian back to the known territory of the Oracle.
The boat rocked softly under them, still tied off to the pier. Eugene bustled in front of a small cook-stove, one made of thick metal to avoid burning the wood of the deck. The man's jaunty whistling mixing in with the gentle beating of waves against the Oracle's side. Varian could smell some kind of fish cooking, alongside some roasting onions if his nose was correct, and tried to ignore the small pang of hunger he felt at the smell. Ruddiger made an impatient chirp next to him, making grabby hands towards Eugene.
"Almost time, bud," Varian gave him a scritch behind the ear. "Be patient."
Ruddiger huffed but settled, curling closer to Varian's leg on the crate they were sitting on. Varian snickered, giving the raccoon another scratch for his trouble.
The boy took another look to the adder stone, twisting it between his gloved fingers. It looked relatively normal, save for the shimmering runes of subtle magic, but he knew better than to trust something based on looks alone. He turned it again, seeing his palm through the smooth, circular hole carved in the center of it.
He brought up the stone, at least somewhat familiar with the mythos surrounding it, and held it to one of his eyes. He squeezed the other shut, peering through curiously. Everything seemed relatively normal, if not a little duller in colour, and he couldn't help but feel a little disappointed. He looked around a little more, trying to see if anything looked interesting. He saw Eugene, just as dulled as the rest of the Oracle, the deck of the ship, up above he could see seabirds flying without a care.
"Varian?"
He twisted a bit to look at Rapunzel. Through the adder stone he could see her entire figure glowing a bright yellow, like an aura. It was similar to how she'd glowed when using the power of the Sundrop. Varian blinked, lowering the stone. Without it, Rapunzel looked normal, if not confused about what he was doing. He brought the stone back up once more, noting with a little bit of childish delight that he could once again see the glow.
"What are you doing?" she asked, tilting her head. "Isn't it just a rock?"
"It's a special rock," he grinned, lowering it again. "Lets you see magical things easier. You still glow!"
"I do?" she asked. He handed her the stone, and she peered through it like Varian had been, looking at her own hand. "Huh," she said, "That's different."
She passed him the stone back, letting Varian continue to look around with it. He didn't see much else on the boat; Ruddiger seemed even more monochrome through the stone, which was kind of funny but not important, and though Rapunzel glowed it wasn't exactly breaking news that she'd had magical ties.
He twisted again, this time looking at the town through the stone. Like most things it was dulled, almost black and white, save for one noticeable difference.
Off in the distance, in the same way Rapunzel glowed, was a shining blue light. Varian tilted his head, standing up to try and see what was causing the light, but it was too far away. He let the stone drop, trying to for a better look, and caught the look of a clearing in the trees at the far side of the town.
"What're you lookin' at, kid?" Eugene asked. Varian didn't turn around, still squinting in the sunlight.
"I'm not sure," the alchemist replied, "But I think there's something at the edge of town." He un-twisted, looking at Eugene. The man pursed his lips, thinking.
"Think it's her?" he asked, "No one in town seemed to know who she was, but if Ori's weird rock is giving you hints, maybe that's where we're supposed to look?"
"Maybe," Varian shrugged, "Can't hurt to check, I guess."
He felt that creeping disappointment from town creep up again, at the reminder that they hadn't found his mother yet. He'd been nervous, and excited, to meet her, and the sting of a failed day was still fresh. He let himself sink back onto the crate, looking out over the water to where he'd seen the light.
Eugene seemed to pick up on his mood, the man smiling easily and scooping up some fish with his spatula. He plated it, along with a few other odds and ends, and gently set it next to Varian. It smelled good, but Varian didn't break eye contact with the shoreline.
He felt Eugene put a hand on his shoulder, patting gently.
"It's okay, goggles," the man said, "We'll find her. Just gotta keep trying, right?"
Varian smiled, weak but there. "Yeah. Of course."
Eugene's grin got wider, more real. "There's my boy," he nodded. "Now eat your lunch, you need some meat on those bones."
Varian snorted, but took the plate nonetheless. He fed Ruddiger in between bites of his own, eyes drifting to where he'd seen the glow. From the way the trees broke, there was definitely something there, though he couldn't tell what it was. The sound of conversation behind him fuzzed out, the boy focused on the parting of the trees.
The town may have been a bust, but they weren't out of ideas yet. With a newfound determination he shoveled food into his mouth, ready to take on the next step.
He just had to keep trying, and eventually he'd find her.
No matter what it took.
>>>><<<<
The gap in the trees, it turned out, had been a graveyard. An old one, from the looks of the crumbling tombstones and large, creeping vines covering everything. Probably abandoned, Varian thought as he almost tripped over an exposed root, or at the very least uncared for.
They passed by a large mausoleum, one of many littering the grounds, and reached the center of the graveyard. It was oddly huge, for being near such a small town; the graveyard for Old Corona had been maybe a quarter of the size. When Varian pointed it out, Eugene just shrugged.
"Maybe the town used to be bigger," he said, "Or there was a lot of deaths. Sometimes there's things like plague, fire, flood, things like that... that'll make a graveyard double in size in a short time."
Varian grimaced at the implications, the numerous gravestones suddenly seeming all the more sinister. The sun blazed high above them, hot and brutally beating down on them all. Varian looked around for a second, noting how isolated they were, before dropping his hood. Rapunzel made a nervous noise when he did, but a nudge from Eugene and she dropped it.
Varian looked around again, unable to see anything that seemed out of the norm. Just a creepy, old graveyard, he thought, a little fed up.
He reached into his pocket, drawing out the adder stone and holding it to his face. The rock was warm to the touch. He peered through it, but had to bring it away from his face with a grimace when everything was glowing the same blue he'd seen from the boat.
He blinked the spots out of his vision, looking through again more carefully. Sure enough the entire graveyard was permeated by the blue glow, a soft, seafoam shade. It covered everything like fog, making picking any sort of source impossible. Varian let his drop with a scoff.
"Useless," he mumbled. Though, if there were something around here sending this much magical energy into the surrounding area, it must have been powerful.
Or, theymust have been.
Eugene set himself down on a fallen log, looking around the graveyard. "Got anything?" he asked, "Cuz I'm seeing a whole lotta nothing, I'll be honest."
Varian snorted, scratching at his chin in thought. "Nothing yet," he admitted, "But I'll keep you posted. There's gotta be something around here to cause the glow, even if it's not... not her."
He combed over the graveyard for the rest of the afternoon, slowly growing more desperate as the time ticked on. Soon enough the sun was beginning to set, casting the graveyard into shadow. Varian had walked the perimeter of the graveyard six times, had looked at every tombstone and mausoleum a hundred times over, and even had climbed a tree at one point to try and get an areal view, only for all of his ideas to end in nothing. It was more than a little frustrating.
"There has to be something," Varian grumbled as he threw himself down next to Eugene. The man had given up an hour ago, he had long since slouched against a rock and covered his face with an arm. Eugene snorted awake when Varian flopped next to him, blinking rapidly.
"Ehm-up!" he slurred, "What's first, captain?"
Varian rolled his eyes, glaring around the graveyard again. "I must be missing something," he said, "A key, or a clue, or a cypher, but whatever it is I can't find it."
Ruddiger chittered in consolation, patting Varian's knee. The boy scratched his pet with a frown, leaning back against Eugene's rock. The sun was nearly down for the night, but Varian wasn't ready to give up. Rapunzel was nearby, picking her way through the graves carefully.
She'd been quiet since they'd gotten to the graveyard, but Varian was slowly growing used to being able to get his way through a full sentence. It was oddly... nice. He felt the sting of guilt for feeling that way, but shoved it aside. He could have something to himself for now, even if it wouldn’t last forever. He shook his head, clearing his thoughts. One problem at a time. Rapunzel knew what she'd done, even if she'd apologized Varian wasn't quite ready to forgive her for the note-
Wait.
The note.
Varian pulled out the note from his mother, looking it over again. Nothing seemed out of the ordinary, but... well, it was worth a shot. He snagged the adder stone out of his other pocket, setting the note down on his lap and lifting the stone to his eye.
He squinted through the green haze caused by the graveyard, looking down at the dull page. The letter was the exact same as always, though when Varian looked down to the very bottom he noticed a subtle green glow. He tilted his head, peering closer, and blinked in shock when words began to appear at the foot of the page.
He moved the stone away to double check, and sure enough the words vanished without a trace. Varian felt a grin split across his face, bringing the adder stone back and took a better look.
"I lay within the gaze of our ancestor," he read aloud, voice soft to not break the quiet of the coming evening.
"Whazzat?" Eugene asked. Varian let the hand holding the stone drop down, shaking the note gently.
"I found the missing piece!" he crowed, shooting to his feet. "She left me a clue, I just needed to look closer!"
"That's great, kid!" Eugene got to his feet as well. "What did it say?"
"I lay within the gaze of our ancestor," Varian repeated, putting the note away with the adder stone.
"Great!" Eugene said, "...What does that mean, though?"
Varian paused, unsure. "I don't know," he admitted. "But has to be a reference to something, right?"
The man nodded, but stopped when Rapunzel cleared her throat from nearby.
"We should call it a night," she said, "It's getting dark."
Varian felt his heart sink. They'd been in the graveyard for half a day, and she wanted to leave just when they found their first real clue? He didn't want to leave yet, not when he'd finally had a break! He knew the second she succeeded in getting them back to the boat, it would be a fight to get back here tomorrow. He needed time, and space to figure this out, and he wasn’t about to get it back on the Oracle.
"I think I'm going to stick around," he said. He tried not to feel cowed when her eyes snapped to him, but it was a near thing. "I'm going to look around for something to do with the clue."
Rapunzel pursed her lips, looking ready to argue, when Eugene piped up. "If you're going to stay, then so am I," he shrugged, "No sense in splitting up. It'll be a team awesome sleepover under the stars, right kid?"
Varian couldn't help but chuckle, nodding. "Sure, sounds like fun."
The boy could see the way Rapunzel wanted to argue, the way her shoulders were raised, and her mouth opened only to snap shut when she realized she was out voted.
"I'll start the fire," she said flatly, spinning on her heel and leaving the boys behind in the graveyard.
Varian sighed, slumping a little. He felt Eugene put a hand on his shoulder, and looked up at the older man with what was probably a very kicked puppyexpression from the way Eugene frowned.
"She'll come around," he soothed. "She's under a lot of stress, and we both know how this whole thing makes her feel. Give her some time to get settled. She was the same when Cass- well, when they had their problems."
Varian slouched a little more. As much as it hurt, this was something he had to dig his heels in over. If he didn't, he'd go right back to being dragged everywhere by the wrist for the rest of his life. He couldn't do it again, not now that he'd finally broken through that boundary. He wouldn't be shoved back into the mourning waif box, even if it was causing strife with Rapunzel. Not after all the progress he’d made while out of Corona.
But that didn't make the sight of her retreating back any harder to watch.
They'd set up a fire on the outskirts of the graveyard. Nowhere near the tombstones, more of an open field that was next to the graveyard to be honest; just far enough to feel respectful. Varian huddled close to the fire, wrapping his dad's cloak tightly around himself to ward off the cold. It didn't do much, but he was, at this point, used to the chill in the spring air. Eugene was nearby, as was Rapunzel, the two of them quietly talking between themselves.
Ruddiger purred as he snuggled close to Varian's hip; the boy smiled and ran a soothing hand down the raccoon's spine, lost in thought. The note was on his lap, just as cryptic had it had been before. Varian grumbled, flipping it over and staring at it through the adder stone. Other than the new sentence, the note didn't have any more secrets to give, it seemed, and Varian couldn't help but feel a little disappointed at the fact.
Rapunzel quietly stirred a pot that they'd put over the fire, filled with some kind of soup. Eugene had said what kind, but the specifics slipped Varian's mind in favor of staring at his mother's handwriting. He pursed his lips, flipping the paper over again and letting the adder stone drop. He chanced a glace up when Eugene pushed himself to his feet, the man stretching.
"Gunna get more firewood," he explained when Varian shot him a look, "You two don't burn anything down while I'm gone, yeah?"
Rapunzel patted his knee with a small smile. "I'm sure we can handle that, between the two of us," she said. Eugene took her hand, bending at the waist and pressing a kiss to her knuckles. Varian made a dramatic gagging noise, pulling a face at the lovey-dovey display; doubling down when Eugene stuck his tongue out in retaliation. The man laughed, walking past Varian and taking a second to rustle the boy's hair as he passed. Varian grumbled at the attention, swatting at Eugene's hands, but took it with grace. Eugene's footsteps faded behind him, the man wandering off into the forested section in the middle distance.
Varian sighed and looked back to the note, gnawing at his lip. It hadn’t given him any more clues, and he’d be staring at it for hours now. He’d be content to stare at it for hours more, but not even a minute after Eugene left, the silence was broken again.
"Can you please put that down for a second?" Ah, Rapunzel.
Varian looked up, blinking in question. Rapunzel wrung her hands, looking at the note.
"I- sure, why?" he asked her, folding the note and putting it away in his cloak pocket.
Rapunzel visibly relaxed with the letter out of sight. She waved him over, shuffling over to make room when Varian got up and shuffled around the fire to sit next to her. He waited, knowing Rapunzel enough to know she would speak when ready. She didn’t usually ask for his undivided attention unless she had something to say; and he was willing to hear her out, for now. He wanted to try and mend things, but if she wasn’t willing to give ground, he wasn’t sure if he would accept that. Rapunzel seemed to finally get her bearings, twisting her hand around her brunette hair.
"I... know you're excited," she started. "To find your- well, to find her."
Varian felt a tingle of apprehension in his gut, but tried to ignore it. This was the first time Rapunzel had said anything beyond flat, safe statements regarding Aisha, and if this was her way of making a step towards reconciliation, then Varian was willing to hear her out.
"I am," he admitted. "Excited, but mostly nervous, I guess?"
Rapunzel smiled, her face drawn and tired. "I understand that," she admitted. "When I first- well, when I first came home, after the tower, I felt the same way about meeting my parents."
Varian nodded. He felt the urge to hold her hand, to reach out to her in comfort, but refrained. He still felt a little off when it came to her; if he pushed too quickly, he knew he'd let her steamroll him once again.
"Sounds stressful," is all he said, trying to get a laugh. It worked, Rapunzel huffing out a breath. The fire in front of them crackled, bright and cheerful. Varian felt himself relax a little, forcing his shoulders to lose their tension. Rapunzel shook her head fondly, obviously lost in her memories.
"It was," she agreed. "I didn't know them, didn't know what they were like. After m- after Gothel, I had a few days to think about what they could be like."
Varian felt a rock settle in his gut, starting to get an inkling of where she was headed with this. He clenched the hand farthest from her so she wouldn't see the reaction, and kept his face carefully blank, hoping beyond hope that he was wrong.
"When I first met them, I had this... idea, of what they'd be like," she mused. "I was wrong, for both of them. The real version of them turned out... a lot more complicated, then I thought they'd be-"
There it is.
"-And I had to give up that perfect idea of them, to see how they really were. I'm sure they had to do the same thing for me. But if I had clung to that imaginary version, I'd never really meet them. See them." She huffed another breath, toeing at the ground with a bare foot. Varian's hand clenched tighter, the apprehension settling into proper dread.
"I just want you to be careful," Rapunzel said, and bingo, we're back on this. Varian had to refrain from rolling his eyes, not really wanting to have this conversation again.
"I will be," he soothed. "I know, she was evil incarnate, I remember."
Rapunzel's face fell at the sass, the woman leaning forward and wrapping her arms around her knees.
"You know I didn't mean it like that," she said firmly, but Varian cut her off. He was over trying to dance around each other, if she wanted to have this conversation, then it was time they had it.
"Then how?" he asked, not harsh, but firm. "How did you mean it? Because you've made it perfectly clear what you think of me trying to find her-"
"I'm just trying to keep you safe!" Rapunzel argued, "You seem to think that you're going to find her and everything's just going to work out!" She slouched again, shaking her head. "Things don't always happen like that," she said, "And I just want you to be ready if something goes wrong."
Varian scoffed, looking away. He didn't want to admit she was playing to some of his insecurities, the nerves that had been plaguing him for days since finding the note stirring at her words. They’d been whispering in his ear since he’d arrived on the island, but he wasn’t about to let them ruin what he was trying to build. He ignored the insecurities, shaking his head. He knew exactly why she was trying to feed those doubts.
"Are you saying that because you're worried about me?" he asked, "Or because you want to see this go south so you can be right?"
Rapunzel reeled back, bodily flinching. "What?" she asked, stunned. "How could you think I'd want that?"
"Because I'd go home with you." The feeling of apprehension in Varian's mind was long gone, replaced by irritation. "Because if this all goes to hell, then you get exactly what you want. You want her to be terrible, so I'll run back to Corona and hide in the castle with you until I'm old and grey."
Rapunzel balked. "Is that really what you think?" she breathed. "You think I'd ever want to keep you somewhere you didn't want to be?"
"You already lied to me." Varian pointed out. The letter in his pocket felt impossibly heavy. "Honestly, I'm not sure how far you'd go."
"I just want you safe!" Rapunzel finally seemed to lose her cool, her volume raising. "After everything that happened, why do you think I want anything else? I'm trying to protect you!"
"You're trying to keep me in a box!" Varian snapped back, "So yeah, I might be safe there, but I wasn’t ever given a moment’s peace! And everyone treated me like glass all the time, and I couldn't escape, Rapunzel, every time I looked around there was something that reminded me of- of him, or of Meave, or my dad-"
"And what, you think finding her is going to solve it?" Rapunzel seemed more agitated, "That if you just pack up and abandon everything that it'll be like nothing ever happened? It doesn't work like that, Varian!"
"It's better than staying!"
"Is it? You'd leave everything and run away just so you can keep ignoring Bayangor?"
"If that's what it takes!"
Rapunzel threw her hands up, shaking her head. "You can't just run forever," she told him. Varian felt a pulse of panic as the conversation quickly got away from him. Rapunzel didn't realize, continuing to rant. "I knowit's hard, out of everyone I promise you I relate the most out of anyone, but that's why I'm telling you that you can'texpect finding her to make you suddenly-"
"Suddenly what?" he demanded, "Suddenly my own person? Someone that I actually am instead of what you all want me to be? I want out so I can be treated like I'm not going to shatter the second anyone looks at me wrong!"
"That's not what this is about-" Rapunzel was as tense as bowstring, "-And you know it! You just want something to chase, so you don't have to work through things back home. I was the same, with the Moonstone! And look how well that turned out! You wanted to leave before you knew she was alive!"
"Which you lied to me about!"
"So you wouldn't use it as an excuse!"
This was getting too close to the chest. Varian could feel himself start to hyperventilate, the breaths coming quick and stuttering. He pushed himself up off the ground on shaking hands, refusing to look at her. He hadn't meant for that to come out, hadn't meant to get that close-
Rapunzel's hand grabbed his, keeping him in place. He whipped around, tugging fruitlessly at his arm to try and pull himself from her grasp. Rapunzel held firm, irritation clear on her face. Varian's panic only grew, the boy tugging harder the longer she refused to let go.
Rapunzel stood, the woman still taller than him. "I'm letting you do this-" she said, the bitterness easily apparent in her voice, "-Because you want to do it. But I'm not going to pretend like this is going to fix all our problems, no matter how much you pretend they will."
Varian tugged again, nearly frantic. "Let go," he breathed, voice weak. "Let go."
Rapunzel didn't seem to hear him, still on her own train of thought. The alchemist gasped again, yanking his arm away.
"Stop touching me," he wailed, backing away and tripping over a rock behind him. He felt a pulse of pain on his spine where he landed, one of his wrists smarting as well. He sat there for a second, stunned, before pushing himself up into a sit and looking at his sister with wide, fearful eyes.
Rapunzel stopped dead, blinking in shock at his reaction. "Varian-" she started, reaching for him.
Varian scrambled back in the dirt, ignoring any sort of decorum in the animal urge to run. "Please," he gasped, "I just, I need space."
Rapunzel flinched back like he'd burned her. She brought her hands to her chest, closing them into tight fists. "I- are you okay?" she asked, eyes bright in the light of the fire. They were wide as saucers, the princess seeming unable to process what exactly had just happened.
There was a long beat of silence. The only sound was Varian's heavy breathing, like he'd just run a mile. Varian felt himself tense when she shifted on her feet. He- she wouldn't hurt him, he knew that, this was Rapunzel, but something in him still looked at her, looming over him just like Father had, and screamed threat.
"I need space," he gasped again, finally getting his feet back under him. He turned and nearly ran in the opposite direction of her, unable to look at her broken-hearted expression for another second. He sprinted for the trees; he tried to ignore the feeling of salt burning his eyes, of dampness on his cheeks.
Tried, and failed.
>>>><<<<
The next morning, it was raining.
The air was considerably tenser than it had been before; any sort of tentative truce between Varian and Rapunzel had been shattered. Varian refused to even look at his sister, keeping to himself as he paced around the graveyard in the light of a new day. Rapunzel seemed to get the hint, maintaining the distance that Varian had created between them.
Dead grass crunched underfoot. Varian paced towards the center of the graveyard, slowly circling it by walking through every row. He kept an eye on names, bitterly wishing he'd listened more to Aldred's insane rambling- how was he supposed to know what ancestor Aisha had been talking about? In theory he wasn't even supposed to know about any of this.
He entered into a section of mausoleums, all of them surrounding a large statue. Varian looked at it, and was startled to see in the light of day that it was Demanitus. He peered closer, noting how worn down the statue looked in comparison to the ones he'd seen in Corona; it seemed the graveyard really hadn't been cared for in years. Something in Varian felt sad at the thought- he personally made sure that Quirin's grave was kept spick and span no matter the weather, just as his dad would have liked it. It was upsetting to think that all of the people buried here didn't get the same treatment, that they'd been forgotten here.
It made him despondent, the idea that someday Quirin's grave would likely end up the same. Hells, his own would too. It made him feel... cold. Eventually no one would be left, and they would all fade into nothing but dust. He looked back to Demanitus, deciding to drop that train of thought.
The great inventor hadn't been buried here. Varian knew that, the boy had been to his tomb in Corona, after all. To see him here, on a tiny island's disproportionately large graveyard, was a mite bit suspicious if he did say so. Varian drew close to the statue, inspecting.
Demanitus looked the same as he always did, the cracked marble doing nothing to hide the statue's visage. Varian chewed on his lip, thinking. Aisha had said our ancestor, the only one Varian knew of was Demanitus himself; in theory all of Aldred's family history was null and void, as it was Aisha's family line that would hold the clue.
Varian walked around the base of the large statue. He squinted up at the statue, noting that the eyes were indeed focused somewhere other than directly ahead. In fact, they were looking off to the side, towards another mausoleum. Varian fetched the adder stone, peering through it. Sure enough the marble building glowed the same bright blue, though it seemed to be much stronger than the light on the outskirts had been.
Choice made, Varian marched to the thick, iron doors of the tomb. Eugene was nearby, having been kicking stones, and wandered over when Varian moved.
"What's up, goggles?" he asked, eyeing the tomb. Varian reached up and rattled the door, testing it.
"I think it's in here," he said. Eugene went a little pale, eyes flicking between the mausoleum and Varian.
"You think she's... in the tomb," he said, apprehension obvious. "Are we, uh, are we sure about that?"
Varian nodded. "In the eyes of the ancestor," he repeated, pointing at the statue of Demanitus. Eugene turned toward the statue, then back to his charge.
"This feels morally wrong," he said thoughtfully, before his tone turned giddy. "Look at my little man, all grown up and graverobbing!"
Varian snorted, moving aside as Eugene drew a lockpick from his boot. The man-made quick work of the door, the old iron creaking open. Varian peered into the looming darkness with apprehension. Eugene stood next to him, brushing off the knees of his pants.
"Et, voila," he said, gesturing with his hands.
Varian didn't tear his eyes away from the tomb, slowly taking a step inside. "Thanks," he mumbled, offhandedly, already distracted by the interior.
The mausoleum was the same white marble as the outside had been, a large space that was nearly five meters square. In the very center was a single, stone coffin, topped with a sculpture of a woman. Varian could only assume that was the person buried in there, though the thought made him a little squeamish. At the foot of the coffin was a large, ornate design in the floor, a compass rose with north pointing towards the coffin.
Varian nearly jumped a foot when the torches on the walls all sprung to life at once, the flames all starting without a trigger. He let out a very manly yelp, nearly falling on his ass when his boots slipped on the marble. Ruddiger hissed, digging his little claws into Varian's shoulder to keep steady as the boy found his balance.
"Magic," Varian muttered, "Why is it always magic?"
"Kid?" Eugene. "Everything okay?"
Varian turned, shrugging as Eugene and Rapunzel entered the crypt. "Everything's fine," he said, trailing off. "I just need to figure out the next step. She said she was hiding, in the note, right?"
Rapunzel nodded, looking around at the blank, stone walls. She fidgeted, obviously a little unhappy with being in such a small space, but did aid the boys as they began to search. The stone was cold, unnaturally so. The rain pounded on the old roof, leaking through in a few places and making the polished stone slick. Varian walked the perimeter of the room, a hand on the wall. He didn't feel anything odd, nothing that would indicate a secret door or compartment at least, but he refused to give up.
"Guys?" Rapunzel's voice drifted across the room. Varian paused his pacing to look at her; Rapunzel's green eyes were locked on the compass rose design on the floor. "This isn't right," she said, tilting her head.
"How do you mean, sunshine?" Eugene asked. He walked over to Rapunzel, looking at the design as well.
"It's pointing the wrong way," Rapunzel explained. "Look, it's got its north pointing towards the south." She pulled out a working compass from the duffle bag, holding it up. Sure enough she was right, the arrow spinning and pointing toward the door. Rapunzel remained kneeling near the design, running a hand along it once more.
Varain drew close, inspecting it again. It was a darker stone, embedded in the marble with perfect accuracy. When Rapunzel squatted down next to it and ran a hand across the compass her fingers never hit even a groove. Varian mimicked her, pausing when he saw something strange in a puddle nearby.
It was on the edge, overlapping where the two types of stone met, and in the puddle Varian could see small bubbles of air floating up. He scooted over. His brows furrowed in thought as he swirled a finger through the rainwater, disturbing it roughly. When it settled again, Varian noticed that the bubbles began to rise once more.
"There's something under here," he said softly.
"What?" Rapunzel asked, leaning closer.
"Look," he pointed to the bubbles. "There must be a space under the floor, there's air coming up through a seam in the rock."
Rapunzel blinked, nodding. Eugene took a peek as well, patting Varian on the back.
"Good catch guys," he said, "Now we just have to figure out how to get down there. I don't suppose either of you brought shovels?"
Varian huffed a laugh through his nose, poking at the design again. Rapunzel did the same, to his left.
"I still don't understand," she mumbled, "Why include a compass and have it point the wrong way?"
Varian tuned her out for a second, watching the bubbles. Eugene began to poke at the center of the compass rose, Varian was ready to ignore him too before a subtle click was heard. The boy snapped his attention back, seeing Eugene fiddling with the center of the design, which had popped up and out of the floor.
"Woah," Varian said, "How'd that happen?"
Eugene shrugged, tugging at the centerpiece. Varian and Rapunzel scooted backward, watching with curiosity as the entire design of the compass rose slowly lifted from the floor, held by a small contraption in the very center. It was only a few inches off the ground now, but Varian still looked at in in fascination.
"Rapunzel," he caught her attention, "What way did you say true north actually was?"
Rapunzel caught on to what he was asking, pulling out her compass. "It's towards the door," she said. She twisted a little, looking directly behind them. Varian smiled, feeling a rush of satisfaction as he grabbed one of the points of the compass, the west one, to be exact, and gave it an experimental push. Sure enough the large design began to spin on its axis, still parallel to the floor and supported by the mechanism in the center.
The alchemist kept pushing, slowly rotating the stone until it had gone in a perfect half-circle. The north arrow finally pointed to true north, as it should have. Varian then pressed gently in the center, putting it back down into its original spot in the floor.
They all held their breath, waiting for something to happen. Rapunzel reached for Eugene's hand, eyes wide, while Varian set a hand on an anxious Ruddiger's paw. Varian held his breath, listening for anything at all; the only sound was the pelting rain above, an occasional gust of wind, and his own excited heartbeat.
They waited a second more, before Eugene slumped forward with a dramatic sigh. "Damn," he sighed, "I was actually thinking we had it-"
The coffin in front of them burst open like a balloon.
All three of them shrieked, jumping out of the way in a tangle of limbs and panic. Varian ended up with an elbow to the gut, letting out an oomph as they all hit the floor. His own landing was soft, cushioned by poor Eugene. Stone fragments rained down on all of them, clattering to the floor like hail. Varian covered his head with his arms, keeping Ruddiger covered as well; it wouldn't go well to get a shard to the eye.
Eventually the aftermath settled. Varian chanced a look toward the tomb, grimacing when he saw the entire lid, statue included, absolutely decimated by whatever explosive had been set inside.
"Is everyone okay?" he asked, slowly pushing his aching body into a kneel. Eugene groaned, facedown on the floor and seemingly unwilling to move but unhurt. Rapunzel was behind him, sitting up and rubbing at her head.
"We're alright," she said, "Are you?"
"Fine," Varian dusted a bit of the dirt from Quirin's cloak. "Fine, I think Eugene broke my fall."
"Yer we'chom," Eugene grumbled, his voice muffled by the floor he refused to get up off of. Varian bit his lip, trying not to laugh, and instead forced aching arms into pushing the boy to his feet. He slowly approached the coffin, coughing and trying to wave the plume of smoke away from his face.
"What was that?" Rapunzel asked, "Some kind of explosion?"
Varian coughed again. This probably wasn't good for his lungs. "Gunpowder, I think," he replied.
He inched closer, peeking into the gaping maw left behind. Varian blinked, a wry smile crossing his face.
The coffin was not only empty, but not a coffin at all. Varian waved dirt from his face, looking down into the hollow shell created by the coffin, covering a dusty old stone staircase that led deep into the earth. There was no corpse, hell at this point it seemed like the entire tomb had been a coverup for something much, much bigger.
"Guys," he waved them over. "I think we just found our way in."
Eugene and Rapunzel were taking behind him, but Varian tuned them out and put his hands on the lip of the coffin, swinging a leg over. He tested the stairs, grinning when they held strong. He brought the other leg in, taking the first step down.
"Ah, hey kid?" Eugene asked, "Maybe we shouldn't be going down the creepy staircase in the graveyard. Do you want ghosts? Because this is definitelyhow you get ghosts."
Varian looked down into the darkness, shrugging.
"I dunno, I have the afternoon free," he replied.
Eugene paused, before rolling his eyes. "If we end up haunted, I'm blaming you, goggles," he grumbled. Rapunzel giggled next to him, following Eugene's lead as they trailed Varian down the steps.
The stairs were long and thin, a straight shot down into the deep. Much like in the mausoleum, torches sprung to life when they drew close, only to snuff out once they'd passed. Varian grew used to the dim light, his eyes adjusting slowly to the darkness the further down they got. Rainwater followed them down, drip, drip, drip that echoed in the quiet.
Soon enough they hit the bottom, after nearly a full minute of descent. It was cold, so far underground; Varian couldn’t help but shiver as he peered through the darkness at the foot of the stair. There was nothing but a hallway; one way forward. Varian peered into the depths, not seeing anything untoward lurking in the dark but still cautious. He turned to his friends, seeing both of them looking nervous.
"What do you think?" he asked.
"I think it's creepy-" Eugene began, but Rapunzel cut him off.
"It might be dangerous," she admitted. "But if she- if your mother needed a place to hide, I could see this being a good one. If you want to keep going, we will." She pulled a piece of chalk from her dress pocket, and made a little arrow on the wall, pointing toward the staircase. "I'll add these as we go, that way we can find our way back if we need it."
"Haunted," Eugene grumbled again.
Varian snorted, taking a small step back toward the stairs. He felt his foot catch on something and looked down with a gasp. A small trip wire, barely noticeable, was caught on his boot.
"Oh, that's not good," he muttered. Eugene and Rapunzel followed his gaze, the two of them already moving. Varian felt two pairs of arms grab his own, dragging him forward and away from the stairs in a dead sprint as there was a loud poppingnoise coming from the walls.
With a horrible BANG the ceiling above the staircase crumbled, the large stones dropping to the floor in a plume of dust and smaller rocks. The noise it made was deafening, echoing through the thin halls and into his chest, rattling up his spine and into his brain. All Varian could register was the noise, flinching away as the ceiling continued to collapse.
Rapunzel and Eugene stopped a few meters away, all three of them watching with horror as the rocks continued to crumble down, quickly covering the way they'd come from with a pile of boulders and loose earth. The light from the staircase got dimmer and dimmer, unable to break through the stone. Varian felt a pulse of pure, primal terror as the sunlight was thinned out to a single, weak beam. With a tense note of finality, the last stone came down, covering their last hint of the surface and cutting off the light once and for all.
And then, there was nothing left but the dark.
Captain the Retired Police Dog Part 4
Back by popular demand here's Part 4. I just want to thank everybody for reading this. Also Shout out to all the Mummy fans and Maribat discord users thank y'all for hyping me up!
The next morning Damain met Marinette and Captain bright and early
He was determined to make this day one of the best in Marinette’s life
He was so excited that he didn’t notice his brothers’ strange facsination with his plans
Jason:  So what’s your plan for today? How are you going to top last night’s  movie marthon?
Damain: Not that it’s any of your business, but Marinette, Captain, and I are going to the park where she met me as Damain, then the botanical gardens, and then we’re going to explore the city some more.
Dick:  Not bringing Titus with you this time, Baby Bird?
Damain:  He’s still exsahuted from the late night last night.
Bruce *drinking coffee*:  You should bring Ace with you then.  She needs a day out.
Ace who’s been sitting at Bruce’s feet shot her head up to look at him
Like she really wanted to be stuck with two love stuck teenagers and Titus’ friend
Damain:  Not a bad idea father.  Come on girl let’s head out
Ace just rolled her eyes but went with Damain either way
 At worst she’ll get some exercise and out of the manor
At best she’ll make a new friend
Once Damain and Ace were out of the house and the other Wayne boys got to work
Dick: Alright men we can do this, all we have to do is decide when to ambush the happy couple.
Jason: I say we do it right when Demon Spawn picks up his Angel
Tim: No too dangerous.  He’ll spot us before she even gets out of her hotel
Dick: What about after the botanical gardens?  We can trail them from a distance until they get in the building then all we have to do is wait outside until they come out.
Jason: GENIUS! And there’s no way for him to avoid us.
Alfred:  Don’t you have jobs to do
Dick:  We’re pulling a Bruce
Bruce glared at his 3 boys unamused
Bruce: Just make sure to get plenty of pictures
Jason *saluting*:  Will do
With that the 3 adopted Waynes ran out to inact their plan
Alfred:  Are you sure this is wise sir?
Bruce: If they don’t push Damain we may never meet Marinette
In the hotel Marinette was getting ready for her date with Damain
Tikki: Don’t over think it too much Marinette, Damain really likes you I can tell.
Marinette:  I know Tikki, but I can’t help but be nervous.  What if I do something wrong and he never wants to see me again?
Tikki:  That’s just Lila getting into your head don’t let her.  You are one of the greatest ladybugs I have the priviledge of working with.  Anybody would be lucky to have you as a friend or a romantic partner
Marinette: Thanks Tikki. Your right like always.
Marinette head her phone ding with a notification
Marinette: It's Damian he's waiting for us in the lobby let's go Captain
Down in the lobby Damian was getting a taste of Lila
Lila was holding trying to get a hold of Damian's arm, but Ace was doing a good job at keeping the annoying girl at a distance
Lila: Oh what a beautiful dog. You know I do a lot of volunteer work in animal shelters with Damian Wayne. You know Dami's such an animal lover
Alya: Oh really Lila that's so giving of you.
Damian: You know Damian Wayne?
Lila: I know not many people know. But you probably think the worst of me thanks to Marinette. She's so cruel to me for no reason
Lila started to pretend cry making Alya and the rest of her sheep flock to comfort the "distressed" girl
Damian was in disbelief about how gullible Marinette's class seemed to be.
He was a little relieved to see that some of the class didn't see it buy it.
A blonde girl, pink hair girl, and Asian boy stood at a distance and just rolled their eyes
Chloe, Alix, and Kim have been disillusioned to Lila's lies
Chloe new from the very beginning just didn't see a reason to say anything
Alix and Kim found out over time, they felt like it was too late to do anything and feared ending up like Marinette
So they are biding their time waiting for the best time to exposed Lila
Damian was happy that they didn't fall for this girl's lies, but not so happy that they didn't speak up
Lila tried once again to grab onto Damian's arm, but Ace being the good girl she is growled a little at Lila who once again jumped back
Damian: Sorry about that Ace isn't good with sudden movements. As for Marinette she actually hasn't mentioned you. The only she she told me about anybody in her class was that she was here with them. She does speak a lot about her friends Luka and Kagami though
Lila was surprised she was sure she could use Marinette's whining against her
Lila: Oh how rude of Marinette-
Damian: Actually I don't see anything rude about not mentioning somebody who clearly wants to but her down.
At this point Marinette and Captain walked into the Lobby
Damian: Hey Angel
Damian pulled Marinette into a side hug and giving her a kiss to the side of her head being careful to keep the two dogs at a distance for now
Marinette *giggling*: Hey Damian. Who's this
Marinette looked down at the German Sheperd connected to Damian
Damian: This is Ace. Titus was still tired from last night and I didn't want Captain to get lonely and she could use a day out
Marinette: Well hello Ace
Marinette bent down slightly and let Ace sniff her hand
Ace gave her hand a little sniff, she decided to let the girl give her a pet
Not to mention Ace could sense that she was a lot better then that sausage hair girl
Marinette gave Ace a nice little head rub
Marinette: Well aren't you a pretty girl
Lila seethed in her place she tried to get that stupid dog to let her pet it 10 times, and Marinette just has to let it sniff her hand and it'll let her touch it
Damian: Come on Marinette I got a big day planned for us
Damian wrapped his arm around Marinette shoulder leading Marinette and their dogs out of the hotel, but he stopped right before the door
Damian: And Lila maybe you should make sure you know what a person looks like before you lie about them. I would suggest you look up what Damian Wayne looks like.
With that Damian, Marinette, and the 2 dogs left the hotel
Alix intrigued by Marinette's mysterious boys comment looked up Damian Wayne and burst out laughing
The others in the lobby looked at the pink hair girl in confusion
Alix: No wonder he warned you about looking people up.
Alix showed the picture on her phone to her classmates
Kim: Omg he was Damian Wayne!
Lila faced grew red and quickly tried to cover her tracks
Lila: Oh I must have gotten him confused with someone else. Haha you know I meet with soo many people
Lila's sheep laughed with her, but Lila could sense that she lost a little bit of her hold on them with that slip up
At the park
Marinette: You didn't have to do that Damian?
Damian: And why wouldn't I Angel. She tried to threaten you and she was stupid enough to try and use me to impress ME she deserved to be called out a bit.
Marinette and Damian kept talking while Captain and Ace got to know eachother
Captain had to admit he was a bit smittened by this German sheperd
She looked gorgeous and had a good head on her shoulders
But most importantly he could tell she loved her humans just as much as he loved his
Ace: So you really us to be a police dog?
Captain trying to impress Ace: Yep and I still remember all my training. My girl and I run through courses on the weekends to keep it up, but enough about me tell me about you.
Ace in a bit of a flirty tone: Well I don't mean to brag, but me and my humans go through a lot of training too. I actually have a couple of humans. Though inhave to admit my favorite one is the leader of the pack. He's called Alfred. I didn't have the best puppy hood. Alfred's pup, Bruce, found me and helped other people take me to a shelter. Alfresco came a couple of days later and picked me up. He helped me overcome my past and convinced Bruce to keep me. Now I have a pretty cushy life.
Captain: I can relate to that.
Marinette watched as her big tough retired police dog cuddle with Ace. She could already tell her boy was starting to fall for Ace.
Captain laid his head over Ace's and Marinette couldn't help but aww
Damian wrapping his arm around Marinette as they sit under a tree: What's on your mind Mari?
Marinette: It seems like Captain had fallen for Ace
Damian: I'd have to agree with that and it looks to me like the feelings mutual
The two couples stayed in the park for 2 hours alternating playing and cuddling
Damian: You're going to love this next stop Angel
Marinette: Where are we going?
Damian: You'll see when we get there. Don't you trust me?
Marinette with a small smile: Yes
Once they got to the botanical gardens Marinette loved it!
All the flowers and planets gave her plenty of inspiration and Damian let her stop and draw as much as she wanted without getting impatient or annoyed
He even commented and gave feed back and suggestions to some of Marinette's designs
Damian was just enjoying watching Marinette's face throughout the whole experience.
Her face was so open and showed every emotion that she felt and Damian just couldn't turn away
The dogs also had a great time getting to see new sights and smells.
But in Damian's opinion all that was ruined when they walked outside and saw his brothers
Jason: Hey Demon Spawn
Bonus
Dick: Omg they're both cuddling hurry get a pictur!!!
Jason watching Damianwalk out with his arm around Marinette: Damn I didn't know demon spaw could be so smooth. Hurry get a picture
Tim: Look at them playing with the dogs! Hurry get a picture
Both Dick and Jason gave him a weird look
Tim: Oh right I'm holding the camera.
Okay I can feel y'alls annoyance with the cliffhanger, sorry.
Game Day - A Matchmaker's Story
Pairing: Alex x Reader
Warnings: Fluff for days
Summary: Going to the Whitecaps game to support Alex.
Author's note: This is a headcanon for my Matchmakers series but you don't have to read it to understand it (tho I highly recommended it because it's awesome). There are a few references but nothing to big.
Beta'd by @winchestersandco
"Looking good, girl" Kathryn smiles brightly at me as I take the seat between her and Katherine. Gen, Dee, and Vic couldn't be here today since they are back home with their families so the girls came to keep me company.
"Not hiding it anymore, I see" Katherine smirks as she stares at the back of my shirt where CALVERT reads in big blue letters.
"It's not like we've been secretive about it" I mutter, looking for Alex at the bench. He’s running his hand through his hair as the starting players move to the center of the field. "Besides, most of the fans have already figured it out"
"How did it happen? You haven't given us the details to your love story" Kathryn asks me as a loud whistle indicates the beginning of the game.
"I kinda knew that I liked him, I was just in denial about it and he says he knew he liked me and that he had always wanted to ask me out but never got the courage" I bite the side of my lip to hide my grin. "But when we went to the beach with the guys, they made it their mission to get us together so we ended up spending most of the time together, so it was impossible to pretend like nothing was going on between us"
"And who made the first move?" Katherine turns around to focus on me, more interested in the conversation than in the game.
"Mmm, Alex tried to kiss me first but I ran away but later I kissed him so, I don't know" I chuckle at the surprised look on both of them. "I did walk in on him when he was showering so maybe that was me making the first move.
"You saw him naked?"
"You ran away?"
They both ask at the same time, the noise of the crowd stopping the people nearby from hearing them. "I panicked when I saw him leaning in and no, I didn't see him naked. He was already walking out with a towel wrapped around him"
"Boring" Kathryn pouts before turning her eyes back to the game. "I bet he looks good naked, no offense”
"Non taken, I know what you mean" I blush, remembering all the times I've spent staring at Alex when he is shirtless or in a towel after he has taken a shower.
After a while, the game comes to its first break so I decide to get something to eat. Alex hasn't played yet but I think he is going on in the next part of the game. As I wait in line, I check for my phone only to find several tweets about how I came to the game to support Alex. There are a few hate comments but nothing too serious. I get them, I've been the fangirl with a celebrity crush before.
I get back to my seat just as the game starts again and I see Alex being called out as the camera points to him as he gets ready to enter the field. "Oh my god, he’s going in”
"What if he scores a goal and dedicates it to you?" Katherine giggles as she watches me looking at Alex.
"He’s playing defense so I don't think that's gonna happen" I smile as Alex runs for the ball, being completely focused on the game.
As Alex moves in to stop a player from scoring, the other guy hits him and he falls to the ground. A few players run to him so I cannot see what's going on.
"Is he okay?" I stand up to get a better look but I can only see his face and I can tell he is in pain.
"Yeah, I think the other guy kicked him" Kathryn stands up to watch too.
"I am going to kill him" I turn around, ready to walk down there but Katherine stops me.
"It was probably an accident. And look he’s already back on his feet" She points at Alex as he stands up, wincing a little bit as he takes his first steps. "He’s going to be fine"
"I hope so because if that guy hurt Alex, he is going to be a Hellhounds meal" I huff, flopping back into the seat.
"People are staring, Y/N" Kathryn smiles awkwardly at a girl who is frowning at us. "No more supernatural references, okay?"
The game went over pretty smoothly, Alex played really well even though it was his first time playing on such a big field. We are currently waiting for him to come join us, I even got him a beer so that he can cool off.
"Hey baby" I grin widely as I watch him walking over to us. He bends over to kiss me, a smile present on his lips. "You were amazing"
"Thanks" His eyes are soft as he watches me before giving me another kiss, deeper this time.
"Mhm" Katherine coughs, smirking when I turn to glare at her. "Get a room, Calverts"
"We are not married, you know right?" I roll my eyes as I wrap my arms around Alex.
"Yet" He winks at the girls and before I can reply, he gives me a quick peck. "So, let's get going"
"Wait, I want a picture" I give my phone to Katherine and then I turn around so I have my arms around Alex and his last name is visible in the back of my shirt. He wraps one arm around me, holding his beer in the other hand as he smiles to the camera.
"I love it" Kathryn giggles as she leans over Kat’s shoulder to look at the picture. "You guys are so cute I swear"
"I know, right?" Alex runs his hand through my hair as he looks me in the eyes. "I am one lucky guy"
"Stop it" I blush as he grabs my hand to guide through the stadium.
"Do you really want me to stop complimenting you and admiring you?" He pulls me to his side so he can wrap his arm around my shoulder as we walk, the girls following close behind.
"Okay maybe not" I turn around to look at the girls which makes them hide their phones since they were taking pictures of us. "Thank you so much for keeping me company today"
"We loved coming here" Kathryn beams at me as we say our goodbyes. "We need to see each other more often"
"Yeah, let's meet up for coffee before shooting starts again" Katherine suggests so we all nod along.
After a lot of hugs, the girls go their way, leaving Alex and I on our own. We walk hand in hand, bumping into other actors as we make our way to the car.
"Did I mention how much I love that shirt on you?" Alex pushes me slightly against the side of the car, placing on hand on the hood and the other one around my middle. "That's all I've been thinking about"
"I am glad you liked it" I whisper as he leans in to kiss me but then pulls back slightly when I reach for his lips. "Don't tease me, Alexander"
"We are in public, buttercup" He rests his lips against my forehead, holding me in place. "Whenever I kiss you, I lose track of what's happening"
"I don't mind it" I hug him against me, not caring about the fact that minutes ago he was sweating like crazy. "I actually love it"
"I know you do" He gives me a wink as he pulls back, creating a distance between us. "But I don't think the other people do, besides we don't want to end up on E! news because I couldn't keep my hands to myself"
"You take the fun out of everything" I pout as he opens the door of the passenger seat for me.
"Trust me, I'll show you fun as soon as we get home" He gives me a quick kiss, not even letting me react to it.
-
"Can you put your phone away so you can pay attention to me?" Alex pushes my phone away from my face as his head is resting on my lap.
"I am writing the caption of our photo, just give me a second" I quickly type the words before uploading the picture to my instagram. "I tagged you so you have to like it"I give him my phone so that he can look at the picture.
Tumblr media
"Y/i/n: He might have played defense but he is a keeper. Love you, my angel 💙"
"God, you are so cheesy" He bites his lips as a smile creeps over his face. "C'mere"
I lean in to meet his lips halfway, placing my hand over his chest. He bites my lower lip, I open up my mouth so he can deepen the kiss. He sweeps the tip of his tongue over my lower lip just as I slip my hand under his shirt, feeling his muscles tense under my finger tips. He groans under my touch, running his hands through my hair to pull me closer. The position is getting a little uncomfortable so he moves to sit next to me but instead of just turning my head, I decide to straddle his hips. He brings his hands down to hold my hips as his lips move from mine to my cheek then to my jaw and finally to my neck. He knows my neck is the way to make me melt in his arms so as soon as his lips are on my skin, a deep groan escapes my mouth.
"God, you are killing me" He breathes out heavily, digging his fingers into my skin. I grab the hem of his shirt, he takes the hint and brings his arms up so I can remove it.
"Have I mentioned how much I love your abs?" I ask him as I run my hands through all the lines marked in his abdomen.
"They are all yours, babe" I can feel his breath getting harder as he reacts to my touch. Before I know it, I’m placing kisses over his shoulder then down to his chest.
"Do you want me to take the jersey off?" I ask him as I move my lips back to his face, biting him slightly under his jaw.
"Tempting, really tempting" He groans as his fingers move under my shirt. "But there's something about you in just that shirt and underwear"
"Why?" I pull back to rest my arms around his shoulder as his fingers draw lines in my back.
"I don't know, I just-" He breathes out before looking me in the eyes, a little more serious now. "I love seeing you with my last name on your back, it reminds me that I finally have you"
A silence falls between us, and I don't dare to move, I just look into his light blue eyes. I feel a lump in my throat as he reaches his hand to tuck my hair behind my ear. "I am sorry. I shouldn't have said that, I probably scared you, I-"
"Shut up" I place my hand over his mouth. "You are ruining the moment"
"Okay" He mutters when I remove my hand to place it over his cheek.
"You didn't scare me, Alex. It shows me you love me as much as I love you" I hide my head in the crook of his neck, hugging my arms around his middle. "I am keeping this shirt forever"
Half an hour later, Alex is snoozing next to me, completely exhausted by the game. I quickly snap a pic before looking at the comments on the picture I posted earlier.
"@danneelackles512: You two are killing me, I swear😍"
"@nowandgen: in love with your love❤️"
"@jaredpadalecki: You guys are adorable, I want to throw up"
"@jensenackles: I see Alex found someone just as ridiculously cheesy as him"
"@mishacollins: I am still waiting for you to properly ask for his hand"
"@kathrynnewton: Favs💕"
"@katramdeen: Adopt me please"
I laugh at all the comments, liking them before noticing one that immediately makes my heart feel like it's going to explode.
"@alex8calvert: I could watch you forever and it would still feel like the first time. I love you"
Matchmakers is my baby and I don’t want to let it go so when I saw the picture Jenna posted on her instagram story, I knew I had to write something. Hope you like it:)
Also, I wrote 'Claire' insteand of Kathryn and when I was fixing it I realized that I had Kathryn and Katherine so I hope that is not too confusing. For those of you who don't know, Kathryn is the actress that plays Claire and Katherine is the one that plays Alex :)
