when you ask a guy to prom but he rejects you with this letter... but in the letter is the most heartfelt, sincere apology you've ever read in your life complete with an invitation to discuss it, and compassion, and even a line telling me that I deserve the world, but "I'm just not the right person to give it to you"

and OMG. the feels. Because holy shit, this man just gave me more validation, love, and sincerity than my past two exes combined. No one has ever told me that I deserved the world. I don't think anyone's told me that I truly deserve anything outside of basic human necessities. Which. Wow.

So anyways, this guy is just super sweet and kind and he told me he doesn't like me romantically, but I might be falling for him a bit more after this... and I don't know if it's genuine, or if it's because he's the first guy that has shown me this level of kindness and respect...
