conflicting desires for lyke and duvall in sangfielle season 2:
-duvall low-key resenting lyke over the chine thing
-lyke high-key resenting duvall over the oratorio thing and EXPECTING duvall to resent him over chine but instead it's the same one-sided tension that they had on the jade moon
i want them to be involuntary friends. I want it to look like a huge 8ft tall straight* guy calling his obviously gay best friend a wretched bitch and everyone is a little uncomfortable about it except for duvall, who may or may not be behind lyke's bizarrely bad luck when it comes to flies landing in his drinks.
(*i don't think lyke is straight but i do think he's the type of bisexual man that people assume is straight)

I've been working through RtDL DX's Extra Mode fairly slowly, so I'm only just getting close to finishing it up now. I got all 120 Energy Spheres earlier today, and uhhhhhhh
Fun fact: This dialogue is entirely new to DX! It's not in the original. I went back to my old file on the Wii and checked.
Haha yeah you little shit, we know you're planning to betray us soon (still love you though <3)
WHAT THE FUCK????????
EXCUSE ME????????
And then he goes on to explain a bit more, as seen above. But uhhhhhh,,, yeah!!! He's not actually Halcandran!!!! That's a new piece of Lore right there. My jaw dropped while reading it lmao
Anyway, moving on from that bombshell of a sentence, since we still aren't done with the full dialogue,
Remember that post I made a bit over a month ago talking about some of Manager Magolor's dialogue, where I was wondering if that dream of his regarding the theme park also applied to Main Mode Magolor?
I WAS FUCKING RIGHT!
Hell yeah this is such a victory for me I was so excited to read that dghsghfs
Magolor stole the Master Crown so he could make a giant theme park Confirmed and Canon and Real /hj
And then we also get a fun little reference to the Kirby Clash games!
A steal in Kirby's eyes, maybe, but that's only because he doesn't understand real-world currency.
And to close out this post, here are the last two lines of dialogue from this conversation!
Anyway. I'm losing my mind 💖

Test designs for some new guys!
First one is Yellow Platanera, he's a Texas Wasp Moth. He's a rockabilly star who's very popular in the fruitbugs desert level. He's no stranger to getting close with his fans- it's actually because deep down he doesn't feel like he deserves good things. He feels that way because people compare him- despite being in a different genre of music- to Pricklypear Glowkids, and Platanera feels like he'll never be as good as the former.
Second and third of the first pic are the same person, pre and post transition: his name is Quadrat Wassermelone, and he's a Hollow Twig Spider. He's a real estate guy that builds bauhaus-like houses, but thing is that they're also non-euclidian endless labyrinths. He also makes people trapped in them pay rent. But guys it's ok he's trans and happy now dont worry about it
Third is Hawthorn Wildflower and he's a Common Cricket. He's essentially feral but also a knight. He lives in a wild meadow full of wild flora you don't find anywhere else, and protects it from anything and anyone that threatening. He made his sword himself and can't talk so well but like most fruitbugs he's romanceable. He's pretty spontaneous and impulsive in behavior.
Last one is Rosehip Valiantheart- and he's a White Plume Moth. Dont be fooled by his given name, he's actually a bad guy! Rosehip hunts who or what ever is the strongest foe in a given level/area and battles it to the death. His reasons for that behavior are a very skewed sense of 'justice', that actually is more a selfish thrill. He was once a noble knight, but something happened that broke him and turned him into a relentless, violent shell of a man. He doesn't have any mask or armor- what you see is his actual face and exoskeleton! His facial cavity can have an inhumanly long tongue come out of it, if you ever get lucky enough to 1) be spared by him 2) make him trust you and 3) take him in an ice cream date or something (which is entirely doable. Hard but doable).

im so obsessed with thinking about abbacchio’s time with the police force and how he probably did other shady things like . instead of properly confiscating expensive items and putting them into inventory, he just takes the more expensive jewelry / appliances so he can keep or sell them.

im rewatching community and just got to what is arguably the shows absolute worst episode - the one where britta finds out all her friends have been essentially getting paid off by her abusive parents, and somehow britta is the one at fault for being “childish”??
i find this episode so cruel in so many ways honestly, and not the least bc dan harmon, after giving britta a backstory that involves CSA (which her parents didnt believe happened), chose to convey the message that britta is 100% wrong & you should always forgive your abusers regardless of all else, and we as viewers are just supposed to be ok with that.
its extra evil too because dan harmon was fired from community in the first place because he was sexually harassing one of the shows writers, and now here he is actively denying the trauma of his female character who was a victim of sexual assault. like bro. this could not be more on the nose if it tried
