He wanted...
He wanted me to be weak and submissive and listen without question, BUT THAT IS NOT HOW MOMMY RAISED ME. He wanted me to cook and clean and stay home while he went out, BUT THAT IS NOT HOW GRAM RAISED ME. He wanted me to need him and call on him and only him, BUT THAT IS NOT HOW DADDY RAISED ME.
MOMMY RAISED ME to be strong and have opinions and stand up for what is right. GRAM RAISED ME to know my self-worth and carry myself with dignity. DADDY RAISED ME to be independent and self-reliant and TO KNOW WHEN I AM LOVED.
He wanted me to stay quiet and do as he expected. He wanted me to change. I WAS RAISED TO LOVE MYSELF AND LOVE MY FAMILY AND BECAUSE OF THEM I KNEW IT WAS MY TIME TO LEAVE.

Apparently the local university’s undergraduate entomology course sends students to catch insect specimens at the same place I like to go birdwatching, which explains why I saw three enormous frat looking dudes with tiny bug nets and overheard one emphatically say “bro BRO I told you we already have enough lepidopterans”

there’s something sooo sickening about how dunmeshis whole energy is like sometimes something terrible and awful happens to you and it changes you forever and nothing can make you the person you were before but there’s still love and there’s still sharing a meal together and there’s still living

>Join a union
>Hear people constantly complaining that the current union leadership is super corrupt, it's all just the same ten guys making all the decisions in secret and nobody else in the union ever gets to know what's going on
>Go to the monthly union meetings that are completely open to all 1200 union members
>The only attendees are the same ten guys every month, giving detailed reports about everything that's going on
