Jumin has a white, long haired cat of sorts. I think its a maine coone bc she's huge. Her name is Elizabeth

🐣- Any childhood things that should've tipped you off to being a system?

So I didn't know this meant I was a system until I was in my 20s bc no one even remotely thought I had DID (or MPD back then) and I was misdiagnosed as having psychosis. but throughout my entire childhood, i had two "imaginary friends" i would talk to all the time. But i had an imaginary friend of my little brother who sadly passed away when I was pretty young. it was like my brain didnt accept his death or didnt know how, so there he was in my headspace and i'd talk to him out loud. My abusers often caught me talking aloud to myself. The other one i was aware of was Grimsley. Grim has been with me since childhood and originally started off as a narrator-- I realize this was them performing their gatekeeping duties as we were a kid. It was much easier to view my life through the lens of a book rather than it being real. This is how Grimsley imposed their reality onto us and kept us from accessing things we shouldnt. But eventually this narrator started talking to me. And id sit and journal for hours, writing stories with Grim, and I went back to read some of these one day a few years back-- i realized the "fantasies" i was writing was actually early descriptions of my headspace.

i think that's why Grim and I are so close. bc i knew them from the start and they were never dissociated until I entered my teenage years and then poof i forgot that they had even existed until i was in my late teens. which is when I was diagnosed as schizo effective it took until I was 20 to rediscover grimsley and the day i rediscovered them i just remember sitting on the ground like when I was a kid with a notebook and writing with them and i just wept. : (

All through my childhood I knew I was different but i didnt know how. i didnt know how to explain that i had conversations with other people in my head and that i was their mouthpiece. they would speak through me (which eventually uncovered my role as the Shell host)

the way I can flip flop on a dime is both due to BPD and DID so for the longest time i was only diagnosed and treated for BPD there were a lot more incidents than just me talking to myself but also like, one day as an 8 year old i took on a rattlesnake by myself bc it was going after our chickens, that def was uncharacteristic of me, bc i was kind of terrified of rattlers so. that was another thing anyway im yappin, thanks for the asks! sorry i took so long to get to them!!

My mom was convinced my cat is a Maine coon so she got him a cat dna test and it came back with the highest individual percentage being 10% maine coon. Is it wrong to say that hes a def a little bit maine coon?

Unfortunately yes, it would be incorrect to call him part maine coon. Breed-determining DNA tests for cats are practically scams, as it's impossible to test for a cat's breed due to how new they are. Almost all cat breeds have been created within the last century or so. (Before anyone mentions it, yes that includes "landrace" breeds like the egyptian mau and siberian).

If you used something like Basepaws, which is the most popular test out there, it only tests for breeds that are similar to your cat. If your cat is longhaired, then "similar" longhaired breeds might show up, but that doesn't mean your cat is actually that breed.

Not many people would buy a cat DNA test if the test just came up as "we can't accurately test for cat breeds yet" or "your cat is a domestic longhair/shorthair just like 98% of cats on the planet" so it's purposefully misleading in order to draw more sales. They're fun to do, but a complete waste of money if you're looking for anything truthful.

my sister gave me some fancy cat food she was going to return (her family has a picky main coon cat, her name is Misato) so that I could give some to my neighborhood cats.

there’s one cat that doesn’t have a tail, it’s grayish but like that type of gray that looks almost blue idk cat breeds like that but all I know is that it’s so cute but I’m never able to get close to it, it’s very lowkey and keeps to itself but I see it from my window all the time.

another cat that comes around is def still a kitten. it’s all black and so sweet but I’m not sure if it’s a street cat tho bc of how friendly it is like it literally cuddles w me and tries to come inside my home, no collar tho and I only see em at night. literally never wanted a cat until I saw this one and it came right up to me. it got bigger frm the last time I saw it 🥹

🐈 Cat: Do you have any pets? Are there some pets you really want? 

I have a kitty! He's my baby boy I love him so so much. He's a tabby (?) And very very soft, and I've had him for about 4 years I think. He's very cuddly and affectionate but only with me. He's a little chunky (but working on it) and he has the most beautiful big green eyes. He always always has to be in bed with me when I go to bed, he usually sleeps half on my shoulder against my back, or behind my legs. He also has a strict bedtime and will bother me to go to bed if it's past like 8-9PM. He wakes me up for breakfast by bonking his head against my hand or face LOL. Also he lives with my roommate's cat, a big Maine coon who's older than him and thus the Queen of the House.

I don't think I want any other pets, I've wanted a cat forever and I'm so happy I have one now. I used to be more of a dog person but dogs are a lot of work I don't think I could keep up with, and have a lot of energy I don't think I could match consistently. I'm happy when my friends or other people have dogs though! I do love them I just can't meet their needs.

🐓 Chicken: What is a comfort movie/show for you?

Obviously my comfort movie is Sonic 2020, but sometimes I watch Sonic 1996. I don't think I rewatch movies very often outside of that, except maybe Knives Out I really like that movie, but I like watching that with other people. I watch Sonic on my own, I probably watched it ummm double digits by now. I'll probably do the same to Sonic 2 when it's on streaming, but I think Sonic 1 has more comforting themes? Because it's a lot about Sonic bonding with Tom.

For shows. Obvi Sonic shows apply again here mostly Sonic X or Sonic Boom (I prefer Sonic X.) But I also have a soft spot for ABC sitcoms like The Goldbergs (my personal fave among them) and The Middle. I've started watching Abbot Elementary and really like that too! I watch anime in theory but haven't for a while to be honest, probably because I have to pay more attention to it, and it isn't as much "comfort" because it's not funny and light most of the time. The main anime that comes to mind that I used to watch a lot (and some parts still feel connected to it in a way that they enjoy rewatching it) is Baka and Test. It's about a bunch of kids in a remedial class in a school where you can play a sort of RPG where your character's power is based on your grades. It's an anime about SpEd essentially so obvi I'll vibe with it, but it's very silly and funny and not serious so it doesn't make me sad. Also it def shows the remedial class isn't like, totally dumb? They're very clever. I think you might like it actually? IDK one of the characters looks like the kinda style you'd be into! She's got pink curly-ish hair and has a lot of bunny themes, her name is Mizuki.

You also play volleyball? Trust me, no matter your position, they're always constantly helping you improve and are at every game they can attend.
