I've shared these on my Instagram, but I also wanna share them here b/c I'm pretty proud of my plushies and I spent a lot of time on them at the end of last year! More pictures of the details n words below the cut!!!

Okay last one promise! This was for a friend, but also a good test of Cholyknight's chibi doll patterns for myself! (That one costs money but it's well worth it!!!) The embroidery for the face came out really good!!! I think the ears were initially bigger than I intended and I was at a point where I couldn't undo them, but it worked out really well in the end! A lot of the base clothes and hair all came with the patterns, but I adjusted the mohawk to fit his face better, using a darker grey to show it was shaved, and I tried to detail his shoes a little more to look like sneakers. The horns I took an existing horn pattern and adjusted it to be Mallek's, though the piercings I struggled for a time before settling on stitched pieces of fabric. The piercings above the eye on the brow are hand down embroidery, which works well enough!

I'm actually super proud of the hoodie; the symbol is embroidered!!!! I made it into an embroidery design and did that myself!!!! With like, a free to use program but STILL!!! And then the hood can go on his head bc there's holes for horns!!! Actually incredibly tricky for a first attempt of that hood, but I got it!!! Also all the clothes? Easy to slip on and off! Though maybe I should've sewn the shoes in bc they fall a little too easy… but my friend really likes it so that's what counts ❤

Also it's also completely made of fleece! Minus the lining in the hood of course; since it's fleece though, there's no shirt under the hoodie bc it wouldn't fit right, but I sewed in a little bit of blue to give the illusion of a shirt xD

00 - THE FOOL Sora is the most foolish of innocents, especially when he leaves his fate to the machinations of others. And when he does have his own agency he tends to be too reckless and headstrong. Of course his inherit knuckleheaded nature can be his best quality, pulling out an unexpected surprise that not even the most carefully calculating villain can possibly account for. And since the beginning of his quest, he's never really needed the conventional outdated wisdom of so called "Masters", he has always forged his own path.

01 - THE MAGICIAN It is no secret that Tony Stark is a creative genius. After all he was able to develop a revolutionary perpetual energy reactor the size of a human hand in a cave with but a bunch of scraps. Is it any surprise he was even able to casually discover time travel whilst in his pajamas? And don't even get me started on all the razzle dazzle he tends to put on his wonderful toys. Guess the line between science and magic truly is a razor thin one....

02 - THE HIGH PRIESTESS The knowledge of what the future holds is something reserved for God, but alas such knowledge has been dropped right onto Tsukino Usagi’s lap. Her marriage to Mamoru, the existence of her future daughter Chibiusa, the fated ascension to Neo Queen Serenity and the rise of Silver Millennium. All just dumped before a high school student who is already having trouble just trying to graduate. It is a lot to unpack and Usagi must now prepare herself to take on the inevitable burdens before her. To trust her instincts and learn from her past mistakes. She has a lot to learn ahead of her and not as much time as she thinks she has to do it…. 

03 - THE EMPRESS For what else is the Princess of Friendship but a surrogate mother? What else are the people of her kingdom but her adopted children? They are not subjects to be ruled, they are her family. This is why Twilight Sparkle ascended to the heights of an alicorn, to uphold the responsibility of being a parent.

04 - THE EMPEROR There is no question his allies and friends look to him as a "leader", though that is more because of him being the biggest fish among them and their resulting dependance on his power. And as a father figure? Well, it is quite telling that his most defining act as a father to his son Gohan is a last ditch effort to fix the mess he created himself. But hey, better to be the father that sacrifices himself to save their child than the one that leaves them to die in the lion's den....

05 - THE HIEROPHANT As Bruce Wayne, his political influence upon the world is limited to the amount of charity money he can dish out, still having to abide by the system that puts him in the one percent. People just don't take him seriously enough to listen. But as the Batman, he can move droves of people with action. His battle against crime garnering the respect of even the police, those that faced his judgement have no choice but to heed his words. The cape and cowl is unbound by the petty status quo of society, he has no strings to hold him back. Everyone listens to the bat.

06 - THE LOVERS The Freedom Fighters don't just have one heart, they have two. Sally Acorn, the one to think up the plan of action. Sonic the Hedgehog, the one to take action. Two halves of the same singular ray of hope to guide the rag tag group of resistance to victory. Though they do not think alike (and can sometimes get on each other's nerves) they are still harmonized, able to work together at the most dire of straights. With only one of them, the Freedom Fighters are compromised, without both they are lost....

07 - THE CHARIOT The four Ninja Turtles were taught ninjitsu purely to survive in a world that would not accept them, told to stay in the shadows where it is safe. But perhaps because of their excess of superhero comic books or just their mutant ability to feel empathy, they cannot help but jump into action when someone is in trouble. They are always tapping into that most primordial of heroic traits, the will to act.

08 - STRENGTH It takes more than just "strength" alone to tame an eldritch horror like the Bird of Hermes. Whatever the bird sees in this one Integra Hellsing it has formed a bond that cannot be truly explained.....perhaps it is not as simple as a monster recognizing her as a strong human being? Perhaps....he sees her as a similar breed of monster?

09 - THE HERMIT There are those that work alone and then there's the self proclaimed "Terror that Flaps in the Night". So intent on doing things his way, so hellbent on getting all the glory, so desperate to prove himself to the world that the very idea of getting help from others ruffles his feathers. Of course he is not above having a sidekick but that is more someone doing things his way and not stealing his spotlight...

10 - THE WHEEL OF FORTUNE Many are at the mercy of fate, but none are quite as vulnerable to it as Matoi Ryuko. Her luck flip flops between good and bad so often that it's hard to tell if fate favors her or is out to get her. Sometimes it feels like she loses more than she wins. Not helping matters is how she is at the forefront of destiny, one of the few among the many that are the most important players for what destiny has in store. Lucky her.... 

11 - JUSTICE Diana of Themyscira doesn't just embody truth, she is the Spirit of Truth. Thus is her mission, to bring truth to the world of man, to be a guiding light towards peace and prosperity......a task that becomes increasingly difficult and nigh impossible with each passing year. Luckily, no task is too daunting for an Amazon, and no matter how long it takes she will bring man to a better place than it is right now... 

12 - THE HANGED MAN Kurosaki Ichigo is not the hero he should be, no, he is more of a plot device. A pawn used by both ally and enemy, not allowed to have any real agency of his own. A slave of fate caught in the same loop of trying to be a hero, fail miserably, go through "training" to receive new strength, fail again, deus ex machina just giving him the win. It's like whatever god is willing the stars of his universe is an incompetent who has no real concept of how the hero's journey is suppose to go. And what other choice does he have but to surrender to the cycle? His constant self sacrificing is what keeps the world spinning. And of nothing else at least he gets to keep becoming a better Ichigo than he was before right? Right?  

13 - DEATH Optimus Prime is well acquainted with the concept of change, is it after all hard wired into his very race's biology. But more than that, his years in perpetual war have shown him plenty endings and new beginnings, perhaps more of the former than the latter. And so long as he lives he will always be in the very company of death itself, looming over him, his allies and his enemies. Such is the nature of war.

14 - TEMPERANCE How long has Kiryuin Satsuki waited until she could finally be free of her vile mother? How much longer would she have waited to finally avenge her father? She waited years of her life for one moment to finally drive her blade through that vile woman, she didn't care if she succeeded or failed she has waiting for that moment long enough. And it seems that though her attempt did fail, that evil woman met her just deserts regardless, in the end fate still saw fit to reward Satsuki's patience.

15 - THE DEVIL Thanos is a very sick man. He is driven by his obsessions and desires, trying to hand wave it as "inevitability" or "higher purpose" when really it is but his own selfishness running rampant. And in his delusion he insists that the greater universe abides by his desire, worse even share in it. No matter how much he tries to change or has seemingly learned his lesson, he'll relapse in no time at all, going right back to his genocidal addiction. He truly is a lost cause....

16 - THE TOWER Uchiha Sasuke acts like he's the only one suffering, that his pain is more important than everyone else's. As such he pays no heed to that which he ruins or those that he hurts. Everything he touches, he destroys. Enemies, allies, friends, it matters not so long as he can get what he wants....which is constantly switching out. One minute he wants to get revenge on his brother, the next he wants to avenge him, and then he wants to be the one Hokage to "break the cycle of war". Whatever, he's always spin doctoring the horrible things he does to have some "deeper meaning" like he were a far right politician rewriting the bible. One has to wonder if he truly wants to use the darkness to bring about "positive change", if you ask me, he merely loves causing misery.

17 - THE STAR Sometimes it's easy to lose hope, just ask Peter Parker. Too many times it feels like no matter how hard he tries, even with spider powers his best is just not good enough. Most seem to believe so, most see him more as a menace doing more harm than good, especially Jameson. It's easy to forget what one is fighting for.....but then in his most dire moments, he can hear Uncle Ben's voice in his head telling him to not give up. Telling him about the few that do look upon the friendly neighborhood Spider Man as a symbol of hope, a star to look towards even when all other lights dim. And like that his strength returns to him, like that he gets back up and keeps fighting.

18 - THE MOON Ryoko Hakubi is both beauty and beast in one being. Not only does her power inspire fear, so too does her temperament whenever her pin is pulled. And even aside from that, she is one mystery after another, never will you truly understand how her mind or heart works. And not helping matters is her fluctuating moral compass that is comparable to mood swings. You'd have better luck figuring out women that you'd have trying to figure her out.

19 - THE SUN It's hard not to see that giant burning ball of gas as but a blight, a bleak reminder of the inevitable. But for the Last Son of Krypton, it is the source of his power. His true power, the power known as the best in humanity. That big Red S that shines like that very star inspires all to be the best they can be, igniting hearts with the strength to stand tall and proud even if they are not the strongest. Even if not everyone can be like Superman, anyone can be that which lights the darkness, anyone can be a hero.

20 - JUDGEMENT To become a Power Ranger is to be reborn into something beyond a mere human. To be infused with power for the sole purpose of answering the call to arms. Only a select few ever get to wear this mantle, and those that do must take up the fight against pure evil to their dying breath if necessary. As such the quality to become a Ranger is the resolve to always stand, to always get back up and never stop fighting. To be a Ranger is to be the one that has the resolve to fight the most important battle.

21 - THE WORLD So few can truly say they beat the Devil and got their soul back, but Albert Simmons is one such person. Perhaps it did not bring him the closure he was hoping for but it did bring him closure none the less. When he remembered the truth of his relationship with Wanda, remembered why exactly he was never allowed to have her back, he was finally able to let go and move on...

The gradient on their mane, tail, and wings is always moving, so the colors never stay in the same place for long. They also have heterochromia; sparkles can be seen in the gradients. Their cm will also sometimes sparkle. They were conceived on accident whilst the mane 6 were hanging out on a hill in Sweet Apple Acres. There was no actual birthing, the mane 6 just turned into a ball of light then poof, a child. Spike was there to witness this and was very freaked out by the whole thing, so Cadence and Shining Armor raised them for a while (since they have experience raising a powerful baby). Everything about them often changed when they were younger, this is because their body was trying to figure out what it wanted to be, and it ended up deciding it wanted to be one person, not six. Extra stuff: - They choose their own name. - Get strong moments of déjà vu and occasionally great strangers as if they have already met them. - They have the same strength in magical power as Celestia and Luna, and as they grow older it gets stronger. - Their cm changes often, however it tends to resemble the one above. - Magic color is pure white, sometimes it can appear rainbow. - They are currently the average pony height despite being 5 years old. Once they are an adult, they will end up being taller than Celestia. - Don't like using their magic due to how unstable it is. - Celestia and Luna often help them with controlling their magic.

What are your MLP Height Headcanons?

Okay so like.

My height thoughts on the Ponies are more general because figuring out a measurment system is ass though I do have heights for the Human Counterparts

But the general vibes for the main Pony races:

Unicorns, being naturally inclined to Spellcasting over Physical, are the smallest of the three.

On the other hand, Earth Ponies whose Magic is mostly Passive and will end up as the biggest of the three.

Pegasai, more physical than Unicorns but needing to be light to fly, are in the middle.

Now this is the 'average'. But due to luck of genetics and sometimes having something else in the gene pool, they can get bigger or smaller than average.

For the Mane Six, from shortest to tallest:

Rarity - She is actually the average height for Unicorns. But the smallest of the Mane Six. She doesn't usually get bothered by this, but on occasion....

Fluttershy - Shy is a bit on the small side for a Pegasus, but not wildly so. This is a detriment in flight, as he's a bit too light to muscle through windspeeds, but it work out for the short-lived modeling career as Shy meets idealized Canterlot Beauty Standards.

Rainbow - Perfectly average for a Pegasus! Gets all the benefits of speed and strength in her flight.

Pinkie - Average for an Earth Pony! Ponies forget that because she's kinda all over the place and not that intimidating but if she stands up properly to full height they're all like 'oh'.

Twilight - Unicorn!Twi is actually the same height as Pinkie, but Alicorn!Twi is a little taller. Twilight is very large for a Unicorn. It didn't bother her much because she wasn't socialable enough to notice others commenting on it. If asked she'll admit that she might have some Earth Pony somewhere in her mom's family but they don't know for sure as only the height gene seemed to have survived to her, her mom and her brother.

Applejack - LARGE. Even for an Earth Pony! Not the tallest pony ever, that might actually be Big Mac. But the Apples have the large pony genetics!

Daedalverse Canon Character Height Headcanons

Breezies. Ex: Seabreeze. Usually small enough to fit in an adult pony's hoof easily.

Foals. ex: Pumpkin Cake, Pound Cake, Flurry Hearts, etc. Size depends more on parents- but they're mostly the same no matter the gender.

Younger Fillies and Colts. Pipsqueak, Toola Roola, Cozy Glow, etc. Size varies, gender doesn't apply yet.

Average Filly . Ex: Sweetie Belle, Apple Bloom, Scootaloo, etc. Tends to be smaller than colts, but can vary.

Average Colt. Ex: Tender Taps, Rumble, Button Mash. Tend to be taller than fillies, but can vary.

Tall Colts and Fillies. Ex: Snails, Spur, Plaid Stripes. Closer to Teenage-sized ponies, ponies that get tall faster tend to be rarer.

Average Mare. Ex. Bon Bon, Rarity, Moondancer. Smaller ponies are much more common in Equestria, and the mares are usually the smaller gender.

Small Alicorn Mare. Ex: Twilight Sparkle, Season 1 Princess Luna. Most fully grown ascended alicorns don't get much higher then the height they were born, but born alicorns will grow based on how much magic they're holding in their bodies.

Average Stallion. Ex. Doctor Whooves, Cheese Sandwich, Thunderlane. Smaller ponies are much more common in Equestria, and the stallions are usually the larger gender.

Tall Mare. Ex: Princess Cadence, Fleur di Lis, Sassy Saddles. Rarer than the average mare.

Tall Stallion. Ex: Shining Armor, Big Macintosh, Troubleshoes. Rarer than the average stallion.

Average Alicorn mare. Ex: Princess Luna. Although not an alicorn, Queen Crystalis is also this tall.

Tall Alicorn mare. Ex. Princess Celestia, Nightmare Moon.

Discord is most commonly this height- he likes being tall to appear imposing- but changes at a whim. Tirek is probably around this height too.

actually, general ponymon au thoughts (this is a don't reblog post but if you wanna send an ask ab it go ahead)

champions = alicorns. so we have prince blue oak; prince red morning; prince dragonstorm; prince ocean glimmer; prince shining stone; princess moonlight; prince fond fires; princess wrymling; princess incarnat; princess moonrise/prince sunrise; prince lionheart; princess la primera; and princess nemophilia. (and also enharmonia, but he was born an alicorn, which is unbelievably rare.)

new champions adjusting to their form change is always funny. lionheart is informally banned from flying on his own because he can get EVEN MORE LOST in three dimensions than in two. nemophilia still crashes occasionally.

technically i guess lionheart is a peryton, fond fires is a winged kirin and ocean glimmer is a big hippogriff with a horn, but whatever.

also this is the only au ever where leon is taller than raihan.

kanto and johto are mostly earth ponies. hoenn is mostly pegasi with a few hippogriffs. sinnoh is mostly crystal ponies, but there's some variation due to the galaxy team's influence. unova is a melting pot. kalos is mostly unicorns. alola is mostly hippogriffs. galar is mostly deer. paldea is also mostly crystal ponies.

horselike pokemon (eg ponyta) are viewed in a similar manner to how we view humanlike pokemon. i will say no more on this topic.

kids usually get their first horseshoes a bit into their pokemon journeys. the exceptions are those with non-horse hooves - hippogriffs, crystal earth ponies, deer, kirin, changelings and zebras.

it is not uncommon to see somepony with a pokemon riding on their back.

it is also not uncommon to see somepony struggling with a newly-evolved pokemon that no longer fits on their back.

most ponies are smol, because my LITTLE pony. nine hands is average height, alicorns can be up to thirteen hands, az is the tallest known at a whopping SIXTEEN hands.

because the ponies are smol, riding pokemon can still work in mostly the same way.

part of the purpose of the pokemon journey is to help foals find their cutie marks. all species have cutie marks, but their appearance can vary. deer and zebras tend to have very stylised marks that can be hard for outsiders to decipher.

ponies etc still have to control the weather/seasons, but they have the help of pokemon to do it.

do the ponies have eggs? i have not decided if the funny of this concept outweighs the weird.

i DO know that inheritance of race usually follows the mother, as with pokemon, but there can be rare exceptions. eg tea pour, tea leaf and tea brew, who are a unicorn, earth pony and pegasus respectively despite being triplets.

changelings are A Thing. they can still transform, but it's more limited - they have to actually work at it to transform into somepony with a very different appearance to theirs.

Princess Cadenza and Shining Armor Redesigns!

Okay so foreword I’ve kind of changed how alicorns work. When they initially become alicorns, they look like normal ponies but obviously with horn and wings. The longer they live the bigger they get. If power is given to them (like when Luna and Celestia give Twi their power) they will hit a growth spurt due to all the sudden magic (which is how Twilight sprang to Celestia’s height seemingly so quickly). Anyways the more ancient alicorns are, they less they seem like ponies. They become pony-like, yet something always seems off about them. It’s too much magic for a mortal pony to understand, so the brain makes the alicorn look normal. Super ancient ones, like Celestia and Luna, have become almost completely one with the sky. They can manifest physical forms when needed. They are more like goddesses at this point, whereas Cadenza is more of a normal princess (for now).

Anyways~ these two are T4T and wlw ‘n mlm solidarity (get it? bc theyre both bi)

I wanted Shining to look more like his sis. When his mane is out of its ponytail it’s almost the same as canon twi’s. Oh also I like to think Twi’s family isn’t as high of a level of unicorns, so they don’t get unicorn tails (except for when Twi becomes an alicorn). He had to shave it for work, but he has a unicorn beard. He’s still the leader of the guards. His title doesn’t change after he marries Cadenza. He has trouble sleeping and makes friends with Luna when she returns because of this. He is Cadenza’s biggest supporter. 

Cadenza is kind and quiet. She loves being around the fillies and colts and they love being around her, too. Just like in Twilight Sparkle and the Crystal Heart Spell, she was adopted as a young pegasi by some Earth ponies in a town outside of Canterlot. On one of her days back from high school, she helps her village stop Prismia. Princess Celestia tells her this was a sign she must become a princess. The pressure from Celestia made her agree. She hides it well, but sometimes she resents being an alicorn princess. She would have rather helped her people as just herself, instead of this idolized pony. Her and Twi become close because of that. 

Similar to canon, they were high school sweethearts! He knew her before she became an alicorn (she became one around the time they were halfway in high school or whatever the pony equivalent is). She slowly gets bigger as shown by my size chart (shining armor is the size of my alicorn twilight design). Oh and they actually don’t live in the castle (Cadenza feels weird living in there). They are the rulers of the people and are very well loved (even my Sunset respects her ways). 

She also used to date Chrysalis and when Chrys gets redeemed they get back together (a throuple!) They also adopt Cozy Glow too.

It’s really late at night and I just finally found where to watch the final season on My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic (the years gone by have made me forget how good the show was and I’m having fun) and so it’s that time again where I get crazy ideas!

Alicorns, right? What exactly are they, compared to normal ponies? Naturally born Alicorns are extremely rare, but a normal pony can just become an Alicorn under very rare magical circumstances. They live much longer than normal ponies, growing much taller than normal ponies can ever grow, their manes can flow as if blown by unseen winds 24/7 because they’re so full of magic. What’s their deal?

What if they’re like the Egyptian gods? Stay with me here, I’m gonna try and make it make sense. So the gods of ancient Egypt were technically mortal, they could be killed, which is why Osiris is a mummified god of the dead, he was dismembered and then brought back to life except it wasn’t exactly complete so he remains in the underworld. Ra, the sun god, eventually got old and lost the respect of the mortals, so he created Sekhmet to avenge him and then had to fix things when she wouldn’t stop her murderous rampage. After that Ra gave up his semi-mortal godly form and retired to his sun boat where he dies and is reborn every day. Why am I telling you all this? This is just a lengthy preamble for how I think Alicorns as a species work.

Celestia and Luna are basically goddesses of the sun and moon. They have lived for centuries, they control heavenly forces, the ponies worship them on festival days and such as we humans would worship the gods in ancient times. Twilight Sparkle, in the end of the Season 9 finale and the end of the series as a whole, was shown to still look youthful in her adult Alicorn form, about the same height as Celestia was, while her friends are all showing signs of aging at a normal rate for mortals. Celestia and Luna are nowhere to be seen in this epilogue, it looks as though they really have retired completely and Twilight is the sole ruler of Equestria. But are Celestia and Luna still alive? Probably, but in the distant future of Gen 5 there are no more Alicorns anywhere in Equestria. So that tells us Alicorns are not 100% immortal, meaning they either can die or they just kinda fade into some kind of magical ether that exists in the universe.

I think I’m just tired enough that I can’t think of anything more to say, so I hope I made my idea clear and understandable. Good night everypony!

MY LITTLE PONY: A NEW GENERATION (G5 Movie) THOUGHTS

It’s finally here. The beginning of Generation 5. Though before I get into the movie in some detail I’m going to reiterate one more time what G5 means for my content and a non-spoilery summary of the movie.

Again, I will say that the movie nor will the G5 series coming later have much of an effect at all on any of my blogs. The revelation in Secrets of the Dragon’s Tear that life itself is also magic means that a world that implied to have no magic for years would mean the extinction of all life (Perhaps resulting in the wasteland we saw in the Season 5 finale). There may be something I’ll probably do at some point on a certain different blog. But even then, that may likely be a one-time thing and probably come around the time the series is starting to air.

That said, just because I’m continuing with mainly G4 content doesn’t mean I disapprove of G5. In fact, my non-spoilers thoughts on the movie is I think it is a good start for this new generation. There are questions I have that I’m not sure will be answered (Though many of those questions are the same ones I had in my Trailer/Preliminary thoughts) quickly enough. But the movie is structured well enough, in fact it’s probably a better movie as a whole compared to any of the movies G4 had (The 2017 movie, Rainbow Roadtrip, and all 4 Equestria Girls movies). As the 2017 movie was fun, but it jumped around a lot, sometimes scenes transitioning too fast. And while Rainbow Roadtrip may have been this on purpose, the entirely slice-of-life story taking up a long length… made it something of a less interesting plot to follow. It feels like some of that special could of been cut to at least a two-parter length and keep the same beats they hit. And while i have a soft spot for the 3rd and 4th Equestria Girls movies, I’ll always say a full-length pony adventure feels better suited for what I want to see out of MLP then spin-off movies with high school movie cliches and weird pony/human world shenanigans.

So movie-wise I’m not a G4 purist. It’ll take some time to see how Gen 5 compares to Friendship is Magic when we get to the series. As I feel it’d take a lot for it to surpass G4 in my mind. But I’m going to try to be as fair as possible and judge on it’s own merits. The implied connection to G4 by referring to G4 being ancient Equestria is going to naturally get the staff and hasbro pressured by fans to tell us what happened in-between the generations. Because that’s the trap they put the writers in when they made it so they want to try to say it’s in the same universe. That’s the double-edged sword Hasbro chose to have, trying to appease the G4 fanbase and keep at least some of them around. But at the cost of questions both nitpicky (Such as character design being inconsistent) or actual honest questions that need to be known (Why did magic disappear, and what happened to the Alicorns) for some of us to truly see this as the same Equestria.

After the break, I’ll have more spoilery thoughts

Even for a brief moment, it was nice seeing the Mane 6 and 2D animation. The former because of course those are the ponies many of us that saw all of G4 loved. And the latter, because while the animation wasn’t bad in this movie. I’m one of those who’d prefer to have 2D animation in an animated film. As in most cases aside from Pixar, it’s just a strong preference of mine. If this had the animation of the 2017 MLP movie but otherwise everything else was generally the same here, I feel that would of have been great.

I wish they didn’t have to have Sunny’s dad die off-screen, as he seems like he could of been a compelling character. And not to mention if perhaps he has any connection the “ancient” days in any fashion. But *sigh* I get it, it’s an old trope where part of the character’s offscreen growth is not having their parent(/s) around.

On a side note there’s quite a few times during the beginning of the movie that somewhat foreshadow what happens to Sunny later. 3 times where she had a fake horn and wings on her. Once in the flashback, then 2 separate times when she’s doing her protest where she has her own costumed wings and horn. As well as the helmet and mechanical wings.

Also, there’s no way around it. Some of the discussions this movie are going to get quite political. (Namely one part of Sunny’s song that could be seen as having a double meaning of a jab at Trumpsts regarding “Building your wall”) From the very premise in the early times, we know that the inspiration for the story was last year’s Black Lives Matter protests. Which honestly, I do support the message they’re going for. Having an anti-racism message to tell kids from the very beginning and making a focus on it is important when in G4 it only got briefly touched upon in Bridle Gossip and the Heath’s Warming Eve play. Although it certainly rose up to some form of prominence with Season 8 and onward. Still, while you can argue if G4 executed the anti-racism message well. it does come with something of a problem that the series finale left Equestria in the least divided it’s ever been.

And personally, I feel it’s a terrible interpretation of time to say “Well, it’s a realistic take. Racism has existed for years in our world. Same should go for the ponies” and while yes, racism is still rampant in today’s world. That said, that ignores that if we went from The Last Problem to the start of G5. There’s a huge difference between our world and Equestria. There is no ancient civilization that we look at like “Yeah, those were the golden days of world peace” when normally the “Golden age” was reserved for the high classes of Ancient Greece or Rome. It was most decidedly not perfect, with slavery rampant and wars for the sake of expanding an empire. While if you look at The Last Problem’s Equestria, you not only have peace between the three main types of ponies. But you literally have non-pony citizens in Equestria. You can see a dragon handing off a flower to a pony which can imply cross-species romantic relations. With the Friendship school still going strong, and was the reason that the world was saved in The Ending of the End. While perhaps it may be too glowing to say that future is perfect for everyone even in-universe. It’s certainly a hell of a lot better outlook then comparing to how we view even the so called Golden age of ancient civilizations. The Last Problem’s Equestria implies it looks to ally with every country outside of Equestria, not conquer them.

So it should still be a valid question on just how this world collapses to the point it gets to where G5 is at the start. I at least assume that it’s not the fault at all of any of the Mane 6 nor Twilight. Or at least I hope it isn’t, as I’d rather the MLP fanbase not have to deal with a The Last Jedi Luke Skywalker situation. (Where after the joyful end of the original trilogy, things go wrong as Luke almost murders the son of one of his best friends and his sister despite trying to hard and succeeding at redeeming his father who at that point in the canon was a galaxy-wide known ruthless mass-murderer.) I assume we’re at a point where everyone of the Mane 6 sans maybe Twilight are presumed dead. And even in Twilight’s case, there’s a chance that G5 decides to say that G4 overestimated the whole Alicorn immortality thing. Though I wouldn’t put it past Hasbro to have some event where the Mane 5 of G5 meet the Mane 6 in some special event whether that’s a a Season finale or a sequel movie/special. Where either the Mane 6 return in a limbo situation similar to the Pillars at the end of Season 7 or Time travel gets involved. They may even string us along on answering just what in the heck happened until they involve a meet-up with the Mane 6 in that way. Though I hope they don’t, I’d really like the beginning of the series (Or I guess this supposed special coming up in Spring supposedly?) starts to answer some questions. G5 should get a chance to stand on it’s own, but I hope the writers are actually well aware there will be so many questions people have and address them in the show. A cynical part of me feels like they’re likely to string us along until at least the Season 1 finale.

Onto the characters for a bit. I think Izzy Moonbow was absolutely the most stand-out character in the whole movie. She was energetic, funny, and aside from “The pegasi are bad news” she along with Zipp and Sunny were the most averse to the way the world was. She was already the most popular due to the tennis ball memes. But now it feels like she legit stands on her own and most certainly deserves to be the most popular character of G5 thus far. Behind her in a bit of a surprise to me was Zipp, who I thought would be mainly a Rainbow Dash-expy. Though she really helps out Izzy and Sunny in Zephyr Heights. Despite having Twilight be my favorite pony from the very beginning of G4 all the way to the end, I didn’t feel as strongly about Sunny for some reason. So she’s in the middle of the pack, she could grow on me later. I just don’t know if I click with her as much as I did with Twilight. As for the last two, while I don’t hate either of them. Either one could be the lowest of the 5 for one reason or another. Pipp (Although I will say she's probably my favorite character design out of the 5) feels like she doesn’t do a whole lot in the movie and it takes until she’s forced to be an outlaw because the other choice was to get imprisoned like her mother was. So she may come off as quite pretentious, though it’s arguable Rarity was the same way early in G4. But she definitely grew later. Could be the same case for Pipp. And as for Hitch, he has shining moments in the film. But what might hurt him is the fact he was such a bad friend to Sunny up until the campfire scene. “I’m the last real friend you have. You really want to lose me too?” is not a healthy friendship. Hitch may have been Sunny’s friend the longest, but it definitely feels like Izzy connected immediately. I don’t know if this show will get into shipping any of the main characters between each other mid-show, but if they do. I hope it’s between Izzy and Sunny currently, cause Hitch and Sunny just gives bad vibes even with Hitch getting better later.

None of the songs I felt were particularly too special. Though I think the closest was Sprout’s “Danger, Danger” song that has similarities to Smells Like Teen Spirit in some parts of the song since I tend towards more rock/metal-esque music.

I touched upon it earlier, but there’s perhaps a stand-out reason for why the G5 movie outdid the 2017 MLP Movie. They have the typical “Our heroic group splits after a sad moment before coming together again for the climatic good end” in Sunny seeing that that the two crystals don’t instantly bring magic back, and when Twilight left the group after an argument that happened with Twilight trying to take a pearl. They perform the same purpose in the movie. But the crystals not working, crushing Sunny’s hope for a little while works better into the story. Where as Twilight’s part frustratingly brought the sea pony scene to an end too quickly and/or doesn’t feel right of Twilight to have done that. It felt forced in the 2017 movie, but works out in the G5 movie. Especially since a part of it is that it’s not the crystals themselves capable of bringing magic back. But it’s the journey going after the crystals that brings the ponies themselves their magic back.

Just a small note on dictator Sprout, he tries to cause a war. Though admittedly the film seems to treat him as a joke the entire time despite his seriously evil ambitions. With the only repercussions is he gets a wishy-washy answer on if he was a good sheriff from his mom. I don’t quite know how I feel about that yet, but I wonder what they’ll have in mind for Sprout given his actions. He and his mom are the only ones that feel like a true antagonist. Though they seem to be ok with things fast when the magic comes back.

But anyway on to the ending, we see that Sunny becomes an Alicorn. Which I guess with no other real Alicorns around, I guess it makes sense to alicornify her since she’s the real leader behind what united the leaders of each type of pony again. Though there is of course this weird thing where her horn and wings don’t seem like as much a part of her body compared to very obvious connected wings on Twilight when she got hers. Sunny keeps her horn and wings to the end of the movie, and has colored streaks in her hair. Though I do wonder if that;s truly permanent. If it is permanent, I suppose at least they got to have a headstart and have it established at the end of the introductory movie rather then have it shock people at the end of a shortened 3rd season. I still feel like Twilight had well earned her alicornhood considering that besides what she did in the series. She has a whole childhood and time as a teenager learning under Celestia. Which had to mean something, and I’m not sure Celestia just leaving her to live the rest of her days with her friends in ponyville was that. Sunny has no doubt been trying countless time to try to spread friendship throughout her life even after the tragedy of her father’s passing. So there’s no doubt she’s been through a lot, and may indeed be worthy of being an Alicorn at this point. Though in terms of screentime before Alicornhood it's definitely a lot less then Twilight had. And it is at least nice to see that it is possible for non-unicorns to become one. (The only case of that we sort of got was a children's book that may or may not be canon that implied Cadence was a pegasus before she ascended)

Though you have to wonder if the visual differences such as Sunny’s alicorn horn and wings, the cutie mark only on one side (Yes I know that’s how it was normally in the MLP generations before G4. But a distinct visual difference between shows is still noticeable even if the context of G4’s cutie marks on both sides of the flank was about it being easier on the puppets for Flash), and how animals can have wings or weird round shapes such as those bunnies when G4 has normal looking animals. There’s enough striking visual differences for any nitpicky G4 to say “This isn’t the same Equestria”. And if someone tries to say maybe some sort of evolution happened. That’s still trying to put a little too much real world logic on this fantasy world. And evolution tends to take millions of years to have such dramatic changes. Not 1000 years or so, there should still be normal looking animals at this point and time. And these small details are probably going to be the things most ignored but nonetheless can build a case that this isn’t the same Equestria. Even if they touch on the important questions like how magic disappeared and what happened to the Mane 6, there will be details they make different that will add to the case that this is it’s own universe if it doesn’t quite matchup with what was remembered about G4. There will be fans who will be that nitpicky to call G5 out of continuity for small details like that. That is again the trap they put themselves in when they decided to try to say it’s the same Equestria.

All-in-all though, I think that’s at least a good enough chunk about my thoughts on the movie to end off here. If there’s something I missed or something from the movie you’d like me to give a particular opinion about or elaborate on something feel free to ask me here. G5 is indeed off to a good start, just I will be along the many hoping some questions get answered sooner then later. And I’m not sure I’m confident in getting anywhere until a Season finale or a 2nd movie. And it’ll be a year before the series starts proper (Though again I guess there’s a 44 minute special coming in Spring to try to hold us over). But I could definitely see G5 finding it's own following, now there's just the inevitable clashes between some of the more vocal fans of each generation bickering at eachother. But hoping there will be enough that take the movie's lessons on divisiveness to heart and be able to enjoy both even if there may be preferences.

FINALLY! After teasing the ever lovin’ hell outta ya’ll with sneak peeks I’ve finally finished the core cast of this little mini-project! What is all of this for?

WELP. A couple of weeks ago I visited FIMFiction for the first time in years and came across a fanfic called Azure Edge by LeafBlade. I ended up binge-reading the entirety of it and it inspired me to just do some designs for the core cast based on some of the descriptions and my own vision for them. The fanfic is a lot of fun to read by the way, and I highly recommend you give it a read! <:

Now then, some notes on the art itself! If you plan on reading the fic I highly suggest you do THAT first before reading these notes; it gets a tiny bit spoiler-y! Now onward!

-Mane 6 are the same ones I drew a little while ago but I just tweaked their designs a bit then drew their outfit designs over those drawings. I was gonna draw new art for each but I figured I needed to draw clothes on the base drawings anyway, AND it saved me a lot of time. Work smarter, not harder ;3

-The first image acts as an impromptu height-chart to show the characters’ sizes in relation to each other. Rarity’s about the average height of a mare and Twi’s a bit over the average height of a stallion to give ya’ll a reference point.

-Given how Luna and Celestia are pretty dang huge in the canon show I made them mirror that here. Given they’re naturally born Alicorns, they’re basically literal giants to the little ponies they rule and protect. No other mortal ponies is as big as they are.

-Applejack and Pinkie Pie are the only two I gave two separate outfits: their work clothes and their default clothes.

-All of the dragons have a glow in their eyes that the ponies do not. Even in their disguise this glow, while not as intense, is still there and gives their eyes a more intense feeling. Or at least that’s what I wanted. o3o As a side note, Spike isn’t a dragon, nor is he a dragon in disguise, so he doesn’t have the inner fire in his eyes Twi and Shy do.

-For extra context if you’d like them: AJ is a blacksmith, Pinkie’s an enchantress (who works with AJ), Twi’s a librarian, Fluttershy’s the guardian of her forest (both are dragons in disguise), Rarity and Rainbow are Hunters, Celestia and Luna double as queens and Hunters. Shining and Trixie don’t get any context because we don’t know what they are in the story yet.

Sir Billium III, and his butler

I'm here to challenge you

Hmmm... Alright, let’s get into it! (Also, thanks for being patient with this one)

I’ll do the Butler first, since he’s simpler. I’ll warn you, I’m not caught up on Tales yet, so I haven’t watched the full stream, but I have a decent idea of who the characters are, so... I may be way off, but I’ll try my best!

The Butler is a Unicorn. Originally, I thought I’d make him a Breezie (or rather, a close relative of Breezies that live in the End - so yeah, just Endermen, basically) since, y’know, Ranboo. But then I checked, and since he’s human(?), I can get a little more creative with it.

Unicorns have a natural affinity for sensing crystals, metals, and their magic, and that seems like a useful skill for someone working at an old-timey bank; in turn, it’s also the sort of ability a rich man like Sir Billiam would be looking for. His mask is encrusted with emeralds and rubies, too; I think at some point, it was established that crystals can be used to amplify and focus a Unicorn’s magic when worn close to the horn, so, yeah. It’s got utility to it, not just style.

I also considered making him a Pegasus because of how quickly he rushes around when given orders, and sometimes decides the most effective route is just... Straight off the top floor. But that felt a little cheap, and honestly, it’s funnier to me if he’s just Like That, fall damage and all. As a Unicorn, he can mitigate it slightly, but his stunts are still noteworthy because he has no wings to smooth out the landing easily; he’d have to either have to land in a roll, use magic to cushion the hard floor, or simply tank the hit and patch himself up later with a quick spell.

... And also, I just think his final scene with the sword would be even more badass with red aura. Up to that point, it could be foreshadowing, especially if both his eyes are green and he therefore has no red in his “natural” palette aside from his Cutie Mark, which, of course, is a lot more flexible and could also be influenced by the Egg. Maybe it’s even hidden by his coattails until the Egg is revealed.

Now, Sir Billiam... I think he’s a Minotaur, just stylized a bit to look more like a pig.

Originally, I was planning to parallel Griffons to Piglins, since they’re dealing with a similar background economic issue and are therefore stereotyped in a lot of the same ways, and they’re both just as plentiful as villagers (humans) / Ponies. But the issue there is that Piglins can’t fly, of course, while it’s an essential part of Griffon society, and besides, Griffons could also be set up as much closer parallels for Avians, like Quackity (sort of) and Philza. Also, if the Nether is still a realm all its own like the End is, that means Griffons are still born of the Overworld - so, again, they’re closer to Avians.

Anyway, as for what Piglins are in this AU, I’d say they’re also their own thing, sort of like how I’m setting up Endermen as Breezie relatives; they’re very closely related to Minotaurs, but split off on the evolutionary tree before developing their cousins’ bipedal stance, therefore convergently evolving a lot of what we’d consider Pony or Zebra traits. They’re bulkier, simply because of their ancestors’ sheer muscle mass, and generally develop more angular heads as they age; their color palettes are also fairly limited, since the Nether is a much more dangerous environment and camouflage became a higher priority than just flaunting shiny coats. They don’t have Pegasus or Unicorn variants - that really is mostly just a Pony thing, caused by their overuse of body-altering magic throughout history - but they do have something halfway between what a Crystal and Lesser Alicorn would be to a Pony. These are called Blades. I’m not getting into that today, but basically, they’re blessed with their own form of minor magic and are protected from the harsh atmosphere of the Overworld; of course, Techno is a perfect example.

Sir Billiam, though, is definitely not a Piglin this time around, because he’s not a Blade, but he can survive in the Overworld, anyway. Also, if any of these dudes were to go fully bipedal, it’d be him. He’s smaller than the average Minotaur, but that’s not saying much when you compare him to the average Pony; he’s still twice their height. Standing on two legs means his balance isn’t great, but that’s fine, because he has a Butler to do the more physically-demanding things for him. His tailored suit doesn’t have to be changed much from the original, since he’s standing upright.

The blinding white faded and Twilight trotted into the throne room of Princess Celestia’s castle, before stopping with a small start.

“Huh?” she questioned, her tail swishing. The thrones were unvacant and the entire room was empty. She pulled a hoof to her chest and her gaze darted around quizzically.

“Twilight Sparkle, my faithful student.”

Twilight’s ears perked at the sound of her favorite princess in all of Equestria and she softly pivoted on her hooves. She faced Princess Celestia, ever so graceful as she stood in the hallway of her castle. Her beauty is beyond compare, her elegant multi-colored mane and tail drifting effortlessly in the air as if the wind were always fanning her. She faired beautifully despite being millenniums old and she radiated regality and brilliance. No matter the close bond she and the princess had, no matter how often she saw her mentor, the alicorn still took her breath away at times and she couldn’t help but bow to her princess.

“Princess Celestia,” she greeted, picking herself up from her submissive stance and padding over to her. She stood sideways in front of the princess and stretched out, where Celestia placed her head down on the ridge of her back, Twilight nuzzling the back of her head to the side of her mentor’s.

“You were just the pony I was looking forward to seeing. We must discuss urgent matters at once.”

Twilight blinked. It sounds important . “Oh. Okay. What do you need to discuss, princess?”

“It is regarding Spike,” she said, striding towards the throne room, Twilight in tow. “I am afraid he must leave Equestria. The Dragonlands have much more to offer a growing dragon.”

“For how long?” she asked, trotting next to Celestia. “Because I don’t feel comfortable with him staying there by himself and I have-”

“Forever.”

Twilight froze. It seemed as if time froze with her. The air stilled around her and the skin under her fur broke out into goosebumps. This couldn’t be happening. Princess Celestia would never do such a thing. She liked Spike! I should let her explain herself. Yes! She’s just kidding, just joking around. Or maybe I misheard. I must have heard her wrong. She can’t really be asking me to-

“Twilight.”

Her head snapped to where her mentor sat, on the top step leading to where her and her sister’s thrones lay.

“I know this will be difficult, believe me, but it must be done,” she spoke, her tone not betraying that of regality and elegance. Not a trace of emotion weaved its way through her voice.

“B-but why? Spike’s been raised by ponies, he’ll be eaten alive by the dragons there! And the citizens of Ponyville aren’t bothered by him, he’s a good dragon! If this is a culture thing--he wants to live among ponies, princess,” Twilight explained.

“This is not a matter of which Spike goes voluntarily.”

“S-so you’re banishing him? What reasoning do you have to banish him from all of Equestria?” she cried, lowering her body as she spoke up to her mentor.

“As much as Spike is a joy to be around, he is still a dragon . My subjects in Ponyville may be accustomed to his presence but others are not. He is terrorizing the citizens of Canterlot and the Crystal Empire everytime you two visit,” she countered, sitting up tall.

“Spike doesn’t terrorize anypony-!”

“-He may not mean to, but he does . My student, you represent me. Everytime you bring Spike along to a royal event or announce yourself as my student with Spike at your flank, that is a representation of me and my competence as a ruler. “I-I don’t understand. You’re the one who appointed my parents legal custody. You allowed him to stay and become a part of our family. You’re the reason he’s in Ponyville,” she said softly, ears flat against her head.

“And it was one of my biggest mistakes. It seems that even princesses have faults.”

Twilight lowered herself to the floor, tucking her legs under her body and ducking her head. Celestia stood.

“I will be asking my guards to fetch him so you two can say your goodbyes.”

“Please, princess, don’t take him,” she whispered, tears gathering in her eyes.

Princess Celestia made her way down the steps and halted in front of her pupil. The alicorn bent down and lowered herself to the floor, trying to catch Twilight’s eye. She tucked her legs as well, mimicking Twilight’s stance. She extended a neatly-trimmed wing and wrapped it around her student. Twilight raised her head, tears streaking down her face. Celestia placed a gold-plated hoof under Twilight’s chin, lifting her head and leveling it with her own.

“Twilight, look at me.” Twilight did not look.

“Twilight Sparkle, look at your princess,” she demanded, eyes betraying her calm exterior. Violet snapped to hot pink.

“What did you think was going to happen, my dear student? Did you think you and Spike were going to live together in Ponyville forever? Spike will one day grow, grow much bigger than this castle we lay in. You will die and Spike will live. Who will keep him under wraps? I have much more important means than keeping tabs on a predator in my country.”

“Spike wouldn’t attack anypony!” Twilight exclaimed, standing up.

“Oh? And is this the same Spike who after getting a few gifts for his birthday grew into a fifty-foot dragon and rampaged through Ponyville?” Celestia challenged, standing to her full height and unfurling her wings, raising them threateningly at her sides.

“You can’t judge creatures by their worst mistakes! Your sister turned into Nightmare Moon and tried to cast eternal night on Equestria, but you forgave her!” Twilight yelled, cowering before her but practically muzzle-to-muzzle with her mentor.

“That is different!” Celestia shouted in her royal canterlot voice. Twilight gripped at the floor with her hooves, awkwardly trying to stay on the ground from the sheer power emitted from the princess before her. She pawed at the ground with her front hooves, her lips and mane pulling back, her tail snapping and thrashing in the air behind her.

“How?” she cried, all but crumbling to the ground, panting and quivering. “How is it different, my princess? Because he’s a dragon? Please. Please, princess, I’ll do anything! Let me prove to you that he’s not dangerous! Please, let him stay! I’ll let him go off on his own in the Dragonlands when he’s ready, I’ll keep him confined to Ponyville, I’ll end my studies, I-I’ll stop being your student! Just please, don’t make me leave him. You can’t ask me to do that!” she implored, sobs wracking her frame.

She collapsed at her mentor’s hooves, hugging the alicorn’s front leg. She whimpered and sniffled, forehead pressed into the princess’ leg.

“I’m begging of you, please don’t take Spike...”

Celestia seemed to consider this for a moment, before resting a garnished hoof on Twilight’s head and shoving her student off. Twilight looked up at her, wide eyes pooling with tears that had long soaked the fur of her face, matting and discoloring it.

“It has already been decided.”

The frantic unicorn shook her head, her disheveled bangs catching on her drooping ears.

“No. No, you don’t get to decide that. With all due respect, Princess Celestia, you can’t banish him all because of a simple ideation or your prejudice against dragons! He’s my family! Mine! You can’t take him! He’s just a baby dragon! He won’t hurt anypony!” Twilight shouted hoarsely, practically tripping over her hooves to get in front of the princess, blocking the entrance.

“Please don’t do this, your highness. Please. There’s still time to change your mind,” she whispered, ears pressed against her head. She hadn’t called Celestia ‘your highness’ since she was a filly, but she was desperate and panicked and clinging to anything that could change the princess’ mind.

Celestia lowered her nose to nuzzle her student’s cheek and perambulated past the unicorn and through the doors of the throne room. The doors swung closed and the room was empty once more.

She curled up in the right corner closest to the doors, hiding her face in her tail. Broken sobs escaped past her lips and she wasn’t sure if the absence of hoofsteps in the hallway were because the princess teleported or if she simply couldn’t hear them over the sound of her own gasps and hiccups.

“Twilight!” A faded voice echoed through the entire room.

“Twilight!” Came the booming voice a second time, bouncing off the walls.

“TWILIGHT!” All noises were drown out by a familiar voice and her vision blurred white as the room spun around her.

Twilight shook her head, blinking hard a few times as she looked around, taking in the new but familiar surroundings. She watched as Spike raced down the obsidian steps, sharp claws clicking against the crystal staircase.

“I know you told me to stay up there but you were down here for such a long time and you weren’t answering and I got worried so I came down here and you were just staring at that wall! And I was calling your name but I couldn’t seem to get your attention and--what were you looking at?” he rambled, going off on a tangent and gesturing wildly with his claws. He waddled up curiously to the door, inspecting it. 

“I mean, it’s just a wall,” he stated, before the whites of his eyes turned green and his irises and pupils turned different shades of red.

Twilight quickly pulled him back from the door, kicking the door closed with her back hoof. His eyes returned to normal while hers filled with involuntary tears.

“Twi . .?” Spike asked cautiously, claw reaching out tediously towards her. “Are you okay?”

Suddenly, the unicorn leapt at the baby dragon, tackling him to the ground. She swaddled him up in her arms, the two rolling on the floor a few times before she lazily ended up on her back, hindquarters sprawled out and tail flicking excitedly.

“SPIKE! Oh, Spike, I’m so happy to see you,” she cooed, lifting him up by the armpits in the air, his back legs and tail just barely grazing the fur on her stomach. He stared down at Twilight’s tear-stricken face, growing increasingly more concerned by the second.

“I’m . . . happy to see you too, but why are you acting so weird?” he asked, maneuvering his body to bend down, gently wiping a tear from her cheek. He was careful not to cut her skin or poke her eye out with his claw. She sniffled, letting her front legs give out. He settled on her chest and she wrapped all four legs around him, nuzzling his cheek with her nose.

“H-hey! Twi! S-stop! I’m not a hatchling anymore and, heh, your fur tickles! Knock it off!” he laughed, trying to shy away from the unicorn, who was continuing her onslaught of nuzzles and nose-kisses.

Once she was satisfied with the number of nudges and cuddles, she pushed herself up, letting Spike slide in between her hind legs. She swiped a hoof over the spines on his head and Spike looked up at her, all wide-eyed and innocent. The face that Fake-Celestia had tried to send away.

She glanced over at the door, biting the inside of her cheek.

“King Sombra’s dark magic. A door that leads to your worst fears,” she explained, pointing to the door with a hoof while wrapping her tail around Spike’s midsection.

“Did that fear have . . something to do with me?” he asked, playing with her tail and trying to smooth out the frazzled pieces.

“Yes,” she said softly.

He looked up at her again, before turning his body sideways and resting his cheek against her stomach; her soft, purple fur feeling warm and oddly cozy on his smooth scales. He propped his back legs on her left hindquarter as Twilight unraveled her tail from around him.

“Do you wanna talk about it?”

“Not particularly,” she answered and it was the truth. She really, really did not want to think about it right now. All she wanted to do was sit with her dragon and pretend like it never happened. It wasn’t real, it was a hallucination. It shouldn’t be shaking her up so badly.

“When I have nightmares and stuff . . . you always say that it’s good to talk about it with somepony. Not good to bottle it up and all that,” he tried, glancing up at her.

“Maybe later, Spike,” she responded, giving him a soft noogie on the forehead.

They sat in silence for a few moments, just basking in each other’s company, until Spike spoke up.

“Soo . . . about King Sombra.”

Twilight’s eyes widened and she jumped up on all fours, knocking Spike over in the process. “OmigodtheCrystalEmpireKingSombratheTEST!”

She galloped over to the door, igniting her horn and blasting a stream of magenta magic into the rhombus-shaped crystal above it. A rainbow cast around the drab room and Spike looked on in awe. Twilight lifted the door’s handle with her magic and threw open the door to reveal an intensly pristine white room.

“C’mon, Spike, hop on! I have a Crystal Empire to save and a test to pass!” she exclaimed, as Spike hoisted himself onto her back and wrapped his arms around her neck, holding on tightly as she dashed up a new flight of stairs.

Empeor Stygian's and Roi's Second Daughter.

Name: Milim

Gender: Filly/Mare

General Appearance: Milim takes after both her parents in terms of her appearance but her mane and tail remaining a tad shorter than her sisters and her body markings being darker than Lilim's and Roi's. Milim would ask her sister to use magic to dye her mane to a dark red color keeping the light streaks in her style untouched by the magical dye. She'd grow to be the same height as her alicorn born sister if not a tad shorter with her wings being the same length as Roi's. She'd tie her mane into a knot whenever she was doing activities related to sword fighting or going out on a flight.

Personality: Dedicated and loyal to her fathers, Strong but also stubborn. She is an opposite to her older sister Lilim in terms of preferring combat and fighting instead of reading books. Milim loves to travel with her fathers and older sister whenever she gets the chance to do so. She is a warrior at heart and is passionate about someday joining the Empeors Royal Guard and making her fathers proud. Milim as she is stubborn will refuse to give up on anything she has set her mind to finishing which drove her to become a warrior under Empeor Stygian's guidance.

Special Talents: Swordmanship, Knowledgeable on warfare and battle tactics, Shadow magic through her wings.

Who they like better: Milim loves her parents both equally but tends to like being around Stygian whenever he heads off to a war council or to oversee a battle.

Who they take after more: Takes after both Roi and Stygian equally but goes in Roi's direction attributed to her being a pegasus. On of her eyes takes on a unquie trait that being a double split color within her iris. Her father Stygian has attributed this to her being a good omen for the empires future she will help her sister bring about.

Personal Headcanon: like her sister Milim was born through the process of merging of the magical and soul essences of both Stygian and Roi and usage of the Well of Shade. Her physical appearance created from the Wells magics with her consciousness and soul made from the essence put forth by Stygian and Roi. Unlike her sister Milim was born a pegasus but was able to use shadow magics via her wings glowing a dark gray-black summoning a host of pitch black feathers formed from shadows whenever sought to use the power.
