people spinning their disappointment that tommy isn't in the finale/no bt reunion as being upset that "buck won't get a happy ending/won't get a win." you really have to laugh.

for $500 can you can tell me what the MAIN internal conflict buck has been dealing with in 8b? because i can tell you it was not "being sad about his breakup."

Look, whether you believe buddie is 100% completely plantonic friendship or not you CANNOT sit there and pretend like their relationship isn't one of the central relationships of the show. Buck's ENTIRE storyline in 8x09-8x11 (THREE STRAIGHT EPISODES) was about how badly he was going to miss/was missing Eddie when he moved to Texas. Then he did not have his own personal storyline in 8x12-8x13, but when he did show up it was largely to reinforce just how important and strong that relationship is.

and again in 8x17, when Buck is at his lowest low, now knowing how to grieve his father figure, what was it that pulled him out of his spiral? Eddie and Chris (and Pepa!!!) reminding him that he has a family that LOVES him.

so how are you going to sit there and tell me that buck getting his best friend and his pseudo child back isn't a win. good LORD.

okay. so here's the plan. if ferrari are not winning anything this year, what if we just make the cars so illegal they are not even cars anymore, but rocketships. we win a race out of nowhere. everyone melts. papaya and red bull and merc heads explode.

and then, of course, we are disqualified. everyone praying for our downfall breathes a sigh of relief like, 'okay. ha ha. you got us good with your fake arse illegal ferraris.' but then--and this is the nefarious part--we do it again. the exact same thing the next week. and the week after. and the week after. just to see the chaos. just to see the panic. don't say it's a good plan. i never said it was.

i have VERY complex thoughts about peril and kestrel and their relationship, especially related to the dod. kestrel is actually such a complex character i love when bitches are morally grey and selfish and make bad choices and hurt people. anyways i imagine peril probably has some really confusing feelings around the fact that kestrel was forced to leave her with scarlet but then went and abused a whole bunch of other dragonets their whole childhoods BECAUSE of losing her. like. the gutwrenching combo of guilt (because its technically her fault kwstrel hated the dod) and jealousy (why did THEY get to be raised by her mom and not her, why was she stuck being a weapon for scarlet while they had a family) and then more guilt (how dare she be jealous of them, they had a terrible childhood, why would you be jealous of someone who was abused thats messed up, especially since it was your fault) and hate (kestrel abandoned her [even if she couldn’t help it], killed her brother as far as she’s aware, made her very first friends’ lives a living hell, and got her only childhood teacher and support [osprey] killed for defending kestrel from scarlet). ANYWAYS. yeah. kestrel i assume also has similarly mixed feelings but at the very least she loves peril and peril can’t even be sure of that.

also first time drawing my kestrel design!!! i based it more off of european and common kestrels than american kestrwls like ik a lot of people do. she also has the same horn and spine colours as my peril, and markings around her wingclaws /the edges of her wings (which u cant see here) that are inverted from perils explodey markings bc i wanted to have some distinct familial traits in them. she also has a bigger schnozz-horn than most of the skywings i draw bc i wanted to give her an interesting trait not based in her name or her relation to peril. also i find it rlly funny that she’s described as being rlly big and taller than scarlet when kestrels are one of the smallest birds of prey (altho i do imagine scarlet as being diminutive for a skywing, in canon she is big and kestrwls just even bigger).

alt ver w/ peril coloured that i dont like as much,,, i rlly wanted kestrel to be the main focus here + for peril to look very clearly strange and alien (bc firescales and also they never knew e/o) and i think the pure orange peril does that better here.

Imagine seeing them complaining about each other but also having to (begrudgingly if you're Fernando) compliment each other IN FRONT of each other. Maybe its a good thing it doesn't exist, bcs then I'd have a heart attack.

I'm not the only one who thinks "Rage Quitting" (not the wall punching kind, you need a phd to talk to for that,) is actually good for your health, right? If a game or free activity has you upset it's good to take a break for a minute or two imo. It's not good to pump that much cortisol into your system over your toys in the long run and it can save a game for you. I'd rather back away for a hot second then come to hate a game forever.
