been trying out a new writing technique recently and it's called chilling tf out and reminding myself that fic is written for fun.

#making a little joke but also being genuinely serious #with my merwaincelot wip i've embraced having little overviews in brackets for what i want to happen #but idk how to write it just yet #if i'm feeling stuck or bored #and if i'm getting tired or the idea of writing an ending is getting overwhelming then i just call it a day and do something else #and yeah it's taking longer to write things (perhaps gone are the days when i wrote and posted a fic in the same night)#but it's working wonders with my brain #and it's amazing how as soon as i relax i get hit with several new ideas #just trying to adjust my thinking in that projects over a long period of time are not something to worry about #like i'm also planning a knitting project that i'll be doing well into september #(mainly bc yarn is expensive and my needs are hella specific)#but that's okay!#not everything has to be done and dusted immediately!#i'm glad i took a break from writing and i think it did do me good but damn i'm happy to be back #and enjoy still learning how to get even more out of my hobby #but anyway i'm just feeling a lil proud of myself today so #lit talks #personal

Real talk Beacon of the Reed Sea is such a nutty good claymore it's not even fair. It really helped me get in that sweet spot for Eula stats to make her utter destruction on the battleifield. She ez clears that end of abyss content no problem.

Hhhhhhhhh i have been trying all day to find a way to coherently explain my brainrot on madahime but i all i can do is rambling on the vulnerability and freedom of not having to hide the parts of yourself that you consider unlovable and stained and dirty bc they have already seen the worst of you (quickly looking throught es database to see that mama does murder and meru does id theft and also murder?) And also indulging (?) more in afore mentioned fucked up side bc well the others esteem of them cant go lower (in theory) and "you are going down with me hand in unlovable hand" and ye being seen at your worst and probably not fully being accepted (knowing their current (non existant) dynamic) but at least acknowledged and witnessed. And this is just spiralling into more rambling on a smaller and smaller part of the dynamic

And then there just the tension, where both a fully capable and ready to kill the other (metaphorically or just plain old physically) but wont not just bc of the mutually assured destruction but someing deeper? Kin ship? recognition of the self in the polished armor of the opponent?

Started reading a book where a character just moved from the US to Scotland and when she met some people she was like “I feel less weird now about them not knowing anything about where I come from in the US since I’ve never heard of their hometown either”

And then their hometown was Southampton (fair), and she was from Texas LMAO

Like, sweetie, I assure you, us Europeans have actually heard of Texas as possibly the only US state that everyone is guaranteed to know
