Rewatching Helluva Boss and I will be obnoxious about my thoughts ok?

Starting with the pilot, 30 seconds in: Millie suggests a car wash because she wants to see her husband in skimpy clothes covered in suds.

Just for context, [Helluva Boss spoilers] Blitz and Fizz were childhood friends working at a circus who, due to an explosion, didn’t speak for fifteen years.

And on an unrelated note, Blitz has shown a consistent love for horses throughout the series.

When they rekindle their friendship, this happens:

Blitz’s FACE. FIZZ’S FACE.

There’s no judgment in the world like best friend judgment, and no shamelessness like best friend shamelessness.

I love them so much.

How Blitzo acknowledges that Stolas LOVED him and Stolas doesn’t correct it.

I don’t remember Stolas mentioning love in The Full Moon

or is blitzo's map app literally how it works and each ring is actually flat

and there's actually in fact a border surrounding each ring and that's where it ends it doesn't loop around or there is no border and you can like fall into the void like in minecraft or something when you reach the edge

Considering how drunk Stolas was at the Anti-Blitzo party, I can't help but think about how the last conversation Stolas (probably) remembers having with Blitzø BEFORE Mastermind was the argument in the garden.

I completely forgot about that and got all wrapped up in the Sinsmas fluff. Like Stolas did all of that for someone he probably thought hated him.

Must have been complete whiplash for him to wake up at the start of Sinsmas.

Just felt like clearing up a common misconception, because so often I see people talk about how Loona was able to find Via in Seeing Stars because "Loona followed her on Sinstagram".

But that's not the case, because you can clearly see the "follow" button (if Loona followed her it would've said "following").

The reason Loona saw Via's post is because they both used the #earthshit hashtag, so it got recommended to her.

Obviously not everyone is confused by this, but I've seen it happen often enough that I figured it was worth pointing out.

FULL MOON WAS EVERYTHING I COULD HAVE POSSIBLY WANTED

I was sooooo ready to be disappointed with the miscommunication trope in this episode, but it was PERFECT. It didn't feel silly or contrived, it felt like a hell of a lot got actually communicated and the issues arose from, y'know, the characters themselves having issues. Also, the soundscaping for that last scene was so fucking good. Starting with the music that fully did not match Blitz's intended mood, then transitioning to dead silence and then the added echo to their voices when they entered the last room, AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA—

I just. Everything that I wanted to get said got said! Stolas actually properly expressed his feelings, Blitz got pissed about it in a way that made clear where his personal issues lie, and then Stolas made it clear that that was a super unfair way to think of him, which is something that's been bothering me for a W H I L E. Apology Tour seems like it's going to be Blitz apologizing, which I didn't think it was gonna be just due to the preview shots, but is exactly what I actually wanted. Stolas has genuinely done his fucking best and it was good! It was really good!!!!!!

A lot of stolitz's relationship has been Stolas doing his best to communicate and Blitz just outright ignoring the words coming out of his mouth in favor of his own assumptions and I am delighted that finally it has come to a head in a way that allowed both of them to get their word in.

(Also honorable mentions to Blitz begging for the book BREAKING MY FUCKING HEART, Loona semi-inadvertently making Blitz's insecurities like 10x worse, and Loona + M&M being absolutely fantastic in every way during the fight scene!)

10/10 painful episode, but the pain was extremely cathartic. I feel like a wound has been lanced.
