Do you think when Blitz and Stolas met as kids, Stolas told Blitz that he had been forcefully engaged to Stella earlier that day?

Because I honestly don't know what's sadder: that Stolas didn't tell him, and he spent the whole day trying not to think about it, trying to forget, and having to swallow back the horror like bile over and over, only for Blitz to leave at the end of the day, leaving Stolas alone with his dread for years to come; or that Stolas did tell Blitz, and Blitz has still managed to convince himself that Stolas is a well-adjusted Prince who sees Blitz as nothing more than a plaything, rather than a traumatized adult version of the same isolated, lonely child whose life is a very fancy prison and who just desperately craves connection.

ok so i have a very unlikely theory idea (SPOILERS AHEAD):

so towards the end of the episode we see stolas look over at this:

now a lot of people are thinking stolas is gonna try and manipulate blitzo into loving him or whatever which i personally think is very unlikely and out of character for him. so instead i propose this probably stupid theory.

now obviously we can’t tell from first glance what the fuck that book is saying but luckily someone translated it on twitter:

now not only does this confirm that there’s more than one way for demons to travel to earth but it also shows that stolas has been learning about it. i mean c’mon it panned to the book it’s obviously gonna play some kind of part

my (slightly depressing) theory is that stolas will recognise that the full moon deal is not a great idea and give blitzo one of these instead of the grimoire for his job. i think stolas will believe that he’s fucked everything up and that blitzo would be better without him, therefore doing him a favour by giving him the jewel or whatever

anyway that’s just a theory

While Blitzo was paid to be Stolas' playmate and was manipulated by his sleazy father into being a thief, Stolas was genuinely happy to have a friend his own age in childhood, which probably saved his sanity from Paimon's less than competent parenting.

When Blitzo explains his dream of running his own circus business, Stolas is incredibly supportive, if somewhat amused at a circus having an office. When the prospect of Blitzo hiring him comes up later, Stolas says he hopes he'll qualify and that Blitzo will make a good boss. While the start of their playdate had Blitzo being bored and clearly not thinking much of Stolas, and even if it comes after Blitzo tricking Stolas in helping him rob the palace, by the end they are laughing together and happily discussing their futures with mutual interest.

During the anniversary party, Stolas was so desperate for emotional connection that, when he met Blitzo again, he convinced himself that the imp was sneaking into his room to seduce him. Blitzo, who hadn't seen him in 25 years and was only after the book, took advantage of this not realizing Stolas was after a genuine connection and leading to the collapse we saw in "OZZIE'S".

It also turns that Blitzo was planning on just tying up Stolas so he didn't see him steal the book...then changed his mind and decided to give Stolas a fun night after discovering just how empty Stolas' life was, looking genuinely guilty upon realizing what kind of emotional damage that abandoning someone in makeshift BDSM would do to him. Especially someone who, in that bondage, called Blitzo his “first ever friend”. "OZZIE'S" has made it very clear that Blitzo might put on a front for everyone else, but I.M.P is his attempt at creating a family "circus", and he doesn't actually have very many friends of his own, having pushed his old friends away years ago (Fizzarolli, Verosika and even kept Stolas at arm's length as a child), and continuing the pattern with Moxxie and Stolas.

Stolas and Blitzo's relationship seem to have been very much headed for doom from the beginning, and it's clear that both Blitzo and Stolas has never had a healthy and meaningful relationship with anyone except maybe Octavia for Stolas and M&M and Loona for Blitzo, and even those relationships are fraught. It probably isn't a coincidence that both Blitzo and Stolas seem to be trying to make up for their horrible fathers by being better father figures to the people in their care. Stolas has been so deprived of love and affection for his whole life, other than Octavia, that he has no idea how real, non-transactional relationships work even though he desperately wants one.

Blitzo's the same, though he's spent more time hiding that, which is understandable given that he's a trained clown that has to hide his emotions. Just like Stolas, Blitzo desperately craves intimacy and a relationship of his own, but he doesn't understand intimacy without some non-love motive behind it, and he pushes others away to the point of resentment because his upbringing/mistakes with relationships in the past have led him to see himself as a failure and horrible person who doesn’t deserve love, despite being terrified of dying alone as a “wrinkly, old, withered waste”. Not to mention that Stolas, being a very sheltered member of the Goetia family, has a very poor understanding of power dynamics and as such, his "kinky fantasy" of “favors for favors” has real implications that he failed to consider, which may have permanently impacted his relationship with Blitzo. Only time will tell if they can make things right.

Stolas’ Father

Not to say that Stolas had a good father figure but there were certain parts to their interactions that stood out to me and I’d love to hear others thoughts about.

When Stolas begins to cry he is not simply sent away to wallow but instead his father makes the means to comfort him in his own distant way. Taking him to the circus via mirror. I fully expected Stolas to be ignored completely but this surprised me.

Stolas’ father watching Stolas throughout the show (circus). He not only listened when Stolas explained why he found Blitzo funny, but noted how his son was rather excited by the small imp. He then ‘buys’ (more borrowed for the day) little Blitzo, willing to pay whatever means necessary(?!), he made sure it was the right Imp that Stolas had been fascinated with.

Finally I was shocked he even gave a reason to ‘purchasing’ Blitzo. To make Stolas feel better. Give him a friend. Sure the father didn’t want to deal with the crying but he could’ve just as easily used magic to ignore his young son. Instead he gifts him something Stolas was showing smiles for.

So yes, his majesty kind of did the ‘dad’ thing. Way more attentive then I would ever give him credit for. Don’t like the guy but interesting interactions between the two.

I saw the new helluva boss ep.

And I have some HC and Thoughts/theories

So!! I think Stolas has a Bi vibe but has a stronger Male preference, reasons being he has an issue with being involved with females because of his forced marriage and his crush on Blitzo was his first, so I think he has a preference but wouldn't mind being with a woman as long as it's natural and doesn't feel forced to him in anyway.

Second is somewhat of a theory kinda but also just a random thought, what if Stolas isn't really in love with Blitzo?

NOW HEAR ME OUT BEFORE YOU YELL AT ME PLEASE! While yes Stolas had a Crush on him it had been years and he doesn't even remember his name, what if he THINKS he is in love with Blitzo because he has never had anyone, not his dad, no mother, no friends, he clearly has no idea how anyone those relationships are meant to work and he WANTS to be loved and WANTS passion he just doesn't really know what that is.

So what if because of his past and Blitz being his "first real friend" he attached himself to blitz so he could feel those things and be happy when later on he realizes that he doesn't really love him and just thought he was?

Imagine the ANGST AND PAIN THAT WOULD BRING! not only to the audience but to BLITZ!!
